A Stepbrother's Desire - Josh and Tyson 53

The discussion with the family was not as hard as I thought it would be. Ty was clearly upset by what he had been told. A friend from the Academy called to say that Ashton told friends that Ty was in love with his stepbrorther and probably fucking him since he would fuck anybody. He posted the pic of us out to dinner that Brett had obtained some months ago. It was not Brett who gave him the pic but one he had gotten from the girl who had taken it. It wasn't of interest to anyone until Ash came across it and decided it would be fun to recirculate to give credibility to his rumor. Bill was livid and so was my mom.

"The fact is boys, I cannot say you have done anything wrong. I don't believe you were careless nor do I think you brought this on. This is nothing more than a spoiled brat trying to make trouble because he doesn't have enough backbone to face up to his loss," said Bill in a steely voice. Ty and I were both quiet. The fact he was on our side was gracious and neither of us wanted to stir it up more.

"Bill, I think we should address the matter..."

"Oh I intend to Karen. I certainly intend to. Boys, what are your plans tonight?" Bill asked.

"I'm supposed to go out with Jordan. We planned a "date night" so to speak before he graduates. I guess I can cancel it," suggested Ty.

"I wouldn't," said Bill. "Your friendships cannot be put on hold because of this nonsense. Go out with Jordan but maybe you don't spend the whole night dwelling on this. It's just rumor mongering and should not prevent you from spending time with important friends. Do you agree?" asked Bill.

"Yes sir, I do agree. I really want to see him."

"Then go," said mom. "Josh?"

"No big plans. Just hanging out with Bryce and then back home."

"Good, get out of the house and relax. Ty, the choice to play tomorrow is yours. If you don't want to go in, that's certainly your right. However,..."

"I'm going to play. I'll probably play like crap but I'm going to the match," Ty said.

"Fine. Not a word of any of this to anyone on that team. Not to the coach nor to Ashton Becker. You leave that to me," Bill said. "Do you understand?"

"But what if..."

"Do you understand?" Bill said aggressively.

"Yes sir," Ty said.

"Fine, we will reconvene on the matter tomorrow. Josh, please make sure your inner circle doesn't get carried away with this in case it reaches them. It probably will the way your network works. Please tow the line and try to keep everything calm and quiet."

"Ok, thanks dad. Thanks mom," and they gave us half hearted smiles.

As we headed out of the living room, mom grabbed Ty's arm. "Ty, an attack like this is very upsetting. We can appreciate that. Your response is what defines you. Quiet and mature. Get it?" she asked.

"Yes, but I'm still mad," Ty said.

"That's ok. We love you and you're going to be just fine," mom said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

We were heading up the stairs when we heard Bill say to mom, "God damn that little shit," which caused Ty and I to chuckle.

Jordan picked me up in front of my house as agreed. He stuck his head in the door to give a shout to my mom who was in the kitchen. They exchanged some comments and she did not let on that anything was wrong. Jordan was dressed really nice in a white pressed shirt and form fitting dark jeans. He was really looking like a gentleman these days. He was ready. He had played all the games there were to play. He had been to all the parties, hurled all the threats, and played in his underworld all that he could. He looked college bound. Georgetown University was getting a great basketball player and one of my dearest friends. He was getting a sweet starting lineup deal as the newest rookie player. I almost felt like a boy climbing into a grown man's SUV. He smelled incredible.

"What's the fragrance?" I asked.

"Varvatos," he said, with a wicked smile.

"Oh yes, I should have known. Haven't come across that one in a while."

"It was a gift. One of my lady friends," he said, and he looked away and into the side view mirror before pulling into the street.

"So what's next for Tyson Breck?" he asked.

"Where are we going for dinner?" I asked.

"Was that a straight up dodge?" he asked, laughing at how obvious I was.

"Yeah, it was. Let's talk about it later," I said.

"I'm taking you somewhere special, little man. Some place that fits your stature," he said. I leaned back into the seat and looked at him suspiciously.

"Wendy's?" I asked.

"What the fuck? Oh hell no," he barked.

"Cometos," he said, with pride.

"Holy shit, that Brazilian place in the historic district? You're kidding!" I said with excitement. "I don't think my parents have even been there!"

"Know what I found out?" he asked. "When you call and say Jordan Rose wants a reservation, they just ask when and what time. I felt so good making that call," Jordan said.

"Oh you think you're something now, don't you. Mister big shot," I said.

"Hell yeah! But tonight, I wanted to do something for you so that makes you special to Mister Big Shot," he said, easing into downtown.

*** Bill

These are my boys. Love em or leave em. I have sat back throughout all the adventures and played a soft hand. First, there was the attack on Ty on the baseball field. I let the police handle that. Then, there was Josh getting hit by a car. Nothing much I could have done there either. Next came the boy wielding a knife at Ty right here in our house. Absurd! We did cooperate with the boy's family and fortunately haven't incurred any backlash from them. Now, we have this, a spoiled brat trying to "get even" for a tennis challenge that cost him his prized little seat on a country club league. Enough is enough! I guess it would be Utopian of me to consider that having good boys that don't go looking for trouble, who don't bully other kids, or abuse drugs, should be treated as such in the community by our peers and their friends. Whether the accusations levied against Tyson be true or not is neither the question nor the problem. It's the act of retaliation, the simple gesture of "making someone pay" for doing something they had the right to do. I'm going to address this. No one is getting off the hook this time. There is going to be accountability.

I picked up my phone and dialed the Country Club.

"How can I help you Mr. Breck?" asked the administrator.

"I was needing to speak with Jeremy. Is he in this evening?" I asked. I didn't have his personal number but I also didn't want to wait until tomorrow.

"He isn't in but..."

"It's rather urgent I speak with him this evening, at least prior to tomorrow. How can he be reached?" I asked.

"I will give you his cell. I'm sure he won't mind if you give him a call," she responded. With that, I called Jeremy Dickson, Club Athletic Director.

"Hey Bill, how can I help you? Joly sent me a text that you were looking for me," Jeremy said in a polite voice.

"Jeremy, there has been a scenario that has occurred between my son Tyson and another boy, Ashton Becker. I feel I should disclose the matter to you before anything escalates. I am very sorry to intrude on your evening but it's, well, its serious," I advised.

"Well Bill, for you to say so, I suspect it must be. I haven't heard anything but I definitely want to know what's going on. I'm heading over to the club for some dinner. Would you care to meet in my office or is that too soon?"

"Oh no, that would be just fine. I can be there in twenty minutes," I replied.

"Great, see you then." I slipped my phone into my pocket, picked up my glasses and headed out of my study. Karen was in the kitchen mixing up a salad.

"Karen, I'm going to the club to meet with Jeremy."

"Oh hon, are you sure? You have a plan?" she asked.

"Yes, I do. This matter deserves to be heard," I said. I walked out to the garage, got the car, and headed to the club.

*** Ty

Our dinner was amazing. Jordan and I were the youngest people in the restaurant, obviously, but he was still recognized. There were a few polite nods. One gentleman asked if he could shake Jordan's hand for leading an incredible season for Brumfield High. Jordan was very gracious. We left the restaurant and walked through part of the historic district and into midtown. The sun was going down and the temperature outside was amazing.

"So, Ty, I'm not going to stick my nose where it don't belong but something is eating at you. You need to tell me what it is," Jordan said, as we crossed over to the park. It was fun being out with him. There were all sorts of glances as Jordan was so recognizable. It made me feel so good to be with him. The evening out had really helped my nerves.

"Jordan, some shit went down and there's going to be some hell to pay. That's all I really should say," I replied.

"And that's bullshit and you know it."

"Ok, a guy posted on Instagram that I'm probably in love with my stepbrother and posted a pic of Josh and me at dinner."

"That pic the Winters boy had of you?"

"Yeah."

"And?"

"That's about it," I said.

Jordan shook his head at me. "No, that's not it. What else?" he asked.

"Well, I won the second seat on the tennis team in a challenge on Friday night. So," and two guys walked by that caught my eye. I recognized one of them as Rally's friend but I didn't know who the other one was. They were rubbing arms as they walked and it turned me on to see cute guys showing discreet affection. I smiled at them.

"Ok, damn it!" Jordan barked. "I'm tired of your short answers. I want the fucking story, Ty, so tell it!" He talked so firmly to me that it kind of pissed me off.

"Calm down," I said. "You're yelling at me!" I snapped back. I told him the story. I described how I challenged Ashton, won the game and how he lost his temper and called me and the message recorded on Tristan's phone. I now had the recording on my phone and it had been transferred to my dad's phone as well.

Just when Ashton called me a fag, telling me to shut up, Jordan's eyes widened and I could almost see red streaks in them. I told him how that threat led to the potential outing of Josh and me.

"So, dad told us not to say much about it and certainly not to get into a pissing contest with Ashton or his friends. He feels it should be handled by the tennis team management."

"That's one way of seeing it," said Jordan. "What a mother fucker. I don't appreciate it. In fact, I don't like it one damn bit. The little pussy might not like getting beat but he did get beat. This shit's not gonna fly with me. That's all I'm gonna say." Jordan was speaking softly, which was kind of scary. I knew his soft spoken side and it was terrifying. You always wanted to be on Jordan's "loud" side, so to speak.

"Jordan, please don't let this mess up the evening. I'm having such a good night. It means so much to me that you would make time for me," and I felt my throat get dry. I had a stinging feeling in my eyes. "Next year isn't going to be the same. I'm going to miss you. I'm gonna miss you a lot," I said and my eyes coughed up tears. "I must look so stupid," I said, trying to get my composure.

"If I had it in me, I would cry with you. It's not my time yet, Ty. But it's coming and when those flood gates open, everybody better watch out!" he said with a snappy click in his voice. He slid over to me and put his arm around me and we sat there quietly for a few minutes. I have never been happier sitting here with my first athletic hero, who never once shunned me or turned me away, who always treated me like I belonged. A breeze whipped up sending a water fountain blowing our way. We had to leap from the side of the fountain to keep from getting sprayed. We ran back to the car, laughing as we did. People think I'm prissy but I'm a lumberjack compared to Jordan Rose when it comes to looks and fashion!

"Let's head to Jamar's house. He has a crowd there," Jordan said.

*** Bill

I walked into the club to find Jeremy Dickson standing at the front desk.

"Bill," he said, reaching out to take my hand.

"Thanks Jeremy for meeting me. I'm so sorry to drop this on you on a Saturday evening but I think we're all going to need time to revolve the matter."

"Sure thing, Bill. Why don't we step back into the conference room," he said, leading me down to the hall to the executive conference room where so many debates and decisions had occurred. We took seats.

"So I understand Ty took second place Friday night. I can't imagine how exciting that is for him," Jeremy said. "This wouldn't pertain to that, would it?" he asked, straightening his shirt sleeve, and crossing his legs.

"Somewhat," I said. I replayed the Friday evening as I knew based on Ty's description. I described the temperamental way Ashton acted in front of the team, witnessed by the tennis coach. I told him about the phone call.

"Too bad there isn't any evidence of that," said Jeremy. "That could be a "he said, he said" kind of thing," Jeremy said. I laughed. I had the advantage because he didn't know about the recording. I took my phone out of my jacket pocket and played the voice recording. Jeremy recoiled and took on a painful look. I then recounted how he carried out the threat including posting a picture of the boys at dinner.

"Aw damn, Bill. This just got serious, didn't it?" he asked. "Why can't these kids just leave well enough alone? Don't they know there's going to be consequences?" he asked, looking very frustrated.

"That's the point I intend to pursue, Jeremy."

"Well what's with the thing between Ty and Josh? Is that an issue?" he asked. I was quite surprised Jeremy was missing the point. I assume he had handled sensitive matters like this before. Perhaps he had not. Perhaps he had settled disputes in a way that consequences were avoided and everyone came out clean.

"I don't intend to give ten minutes to whether the accusations are true or not, Jeremy. What's important here is the fact that there has been unsportsmanlike behavior at it's over and beyond the norm as well as flat out harassment!" and I found myself getting loud. I settled for a minute while Jeremy got his perspective.

"So what do you want, Bill? I mean, based on that tape alone, it's serious. If there was a threat and direct retaliation included, well, it's definitely bad. The conversation with Eric Becker isn't going to be easy," Jeremy said, leaning back into the chair, resting his hands behind his head.

"I would think not. First, I don't want you to mention this tape. I want to know if the boy is going to own his actions. I will give you a chance to play it for him. We can give you a screenshot of the Instagram post if he hasn't taken it down. I don't want Mr. Becker to play tomorrow while this is being investigated," I said.

"Is Ty planning to play? If he wants to bow out..."

"No, he wants to play and frankly, I think he should. There is no need for him to slink away to the sidelines because of this. In the end, it may not have much impact on Ty but there are going to be consequences for this behavior. Mr. Becker needs to learn not to exercise his muscle so freely!"

"Understood," Jeremy said. "You are right, Ashton will be left off the roster tomorrow. I will contact his dad this evening, in fact." I stood.

"Jeremy, again, I regret having to bring this crap to you but it is what it is. I will maintain a certain level of discretion. If the matter escalates to the Board, I will cooperate. Just let me know what you need."

"Thanks Bill. I'm just sorry that Ty had to go through this over a tennis match. That's not what we're here for," Jeremy said sincerely.

"Agreed." I shook his hand and headed out to my car. I was happy to return home.

*** Josh

"Damn Josh, I can't believe that guy did that," said Bryce. We were looking at the post and it might not be very revealing to people who don't know us. It's just four of us having dinner. The "Ty and his boyfriend" tag was dangerous.

"I feel so powerless, Bryce. I should be able to kick his ass but I don't know how to get to him. I don't want to get in more trouble. I don't want to give him the satisfaction but he deserves something!" I said.

"He certainly does," replied Bryce. He opened another bottle of beer and handed it to me. This was my third and probably my last. Bryce got a bit of a headstart before I got to his house and he wasn't flat out drunk but he was buzzing good. I"m glad we ate hot dogs because they would be good to absorb his alcohol content.

"Bryce, we need our friends to close ranks with us. Please don't let things slip out while this runs it's course. Are we good?" I asked.

"Aw hell, Josh. You know we got your back. Since Lisa decided she needed her freetime back, I don't see her as often but we still talk," he said, swaying gently to one side.

"Well I'm glad you two are on good terms. I guess it was only meant to last a certain time?" I said, taking a swig of my beer.

"It should've gone to graduation. She was such a bitch to drop me right after prom. Rude!" he said.

"Well, a few more weeks wouldn't have hurt anything. You weren't going to ask her to marry you in any case!" I said, laughing.

"Hell no! But it's ok. I still got my bros!"

*** Ty

We drove out to a big white house in the country. I didn't know Jamar lived out here as I have never been friends with his crowd. He was on the basketball team with Jordan and was a bit of a star in his own right but he kept a low profile, not showing off too much or causing any commotion at school. I suspected his "extra curricular" activities would cause him to "fly under the radar," so to speak. It was a pretty big crowd. It looked like just some regular partying going on until I got to the kitchen. The smell of weed wafted into the house from the backyard. I could see through the window the kids out there smoking. For some reason, I had no interest. I was on a proper date or outing with Jordan and didn't want to get involved in that kind of partying. I am still a classy guy no matter what anyone else thinks.

Someone handed Jordan a tall thin glass that looked like a fruity drink. I laughed because it looked so prissy.

"One for my boy too, please!" Jordan shouted over the people standing around. Within minutes I was handed one as well. Jordan raised his glass and said "cheers!" and clinked our glasses together. It was a mango juice with tequila mixed in it. It was so good.

"Oh wow!" I said. "This is amazing!" I said. Jordan laughed.

After we had polished off two of these drinks, I was feeling a light buzz. I'm glad we didn't go for a third. I might not have been able to walk. I was dangling in the living room not sure who else to talk to. This wasn't a crowd I usually had long conversations with. I was shocked and almost fell down when my friend Rally walked in with a guy I didn't know. But Rally seemed to know him well and they seemed very "close."

"Rally! What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Bout to ask you the same question, Ty. How's it hanging?" he asked, giving me a "hey we're bro's handshake.

"Could be better," I said. "Who's the guy?" I asked quietly.

"Here let me introduce you," Rally said. "Marcus, I want you to meet my friend, Ty Breck," he said. Marcus reached his hand out to me and gave it a firm shake. Ok, so he was a really hot black guy, a little taller than Rally, lean, and a gorgeous face. His hair may have been buzzed and looked to be growing out and was a little uneven, making it super sexy.

"Nice to meet you, Marcus. How do you know Rally?" I asked.

"We met last week, didn't we?" he replied, looking at Rally.

"Yep!" chirped Rally. You could tell he was a little high but was in good control of himself.

"He's fucking amazing," Rally whispered in my ear. "We met out at Broadway Shopping Center. This is our first date in public," he shrieked in my ear.

"Cool!" I said. I was pleased to see he had met someone. I just hoped this "someone" wouldn't cause him any trouble. He looked like a good guy. A really good guy, in fact. Hmmmm.

As we were chatting lightly, Jordan came upon us. Marcus looked really surprised.

"Oh fuck," he said in a soft voice. "Jordan Rose!"

"Jordan, this is Marcus and this is my friend Rally," said pointing to them. They all greeted and what not.

"Ty, I'm ready to blow this joint and I need to get you home in time," he said. It was 11:30 and he was right. I did need to get home. I didn't want to cause a curfew problem with the other issue looming but tonight had been a great distraction from all that. I hadn't worried too much about it.

Jordan and I walked out to the SUV and we pulled out. Just a ways up the road, he pulled the car over.

"Let's talk," he said. I was feeling pretty good at this point. I hated the night had to end but I was excited to have a few more minutes with Jordan. I climbed over the console and into his lap, sort of. I sat sideways, leaning my back against the door. He was laughing.

"What? You think this is a Santa Claus lap or somet'in?" he barked through his laughter.

"I want to be close to you," I said, quietly. The impression in the front of my slim fit jeans gave everything away.

"What the fuck is that?" he asked, pointing to my bulge.

"Well, you know," was all I could think of.

"How many ways can you think of to tempt me?" he asked. "You know I can't..."

"Shhh," I hissed. "You knew tonight was going to be all about temptation, Jordan. You know we have a great history. You know, there was a time when I wanted you," I said, confidently.

"I know, Ty and believe me, you have been one special friend. I just cant go around fucking people for that reason, you understand," he said.

"Of course I do. I just need you to know, Jordan, before you go away, that your friendship with me may be one of the most special I have had outside of Tristan. You have so much power. You can create brilliant, fantastic relationships or you can easily destroy any possibilities. It's all you. I am so glad I was on this side. Sitting on your lap, well, it's just a gesture to tell you how comfy, and, well, how safe I am with you. I will never forget, Jordan. I hope you won't either," I said to him, looking into his big pooling eyes. His mouth quivered.

"I told you that come has not come yet and I meant it. I'm not saying goodbye to you tonight, Tyson," and the way he said my name caused me to stir, almost ache. You've been one of the few people who didn't like me because I was a star athlete even though that seems to be your preference," he said, snickering at me. "Remember the first time you spoke to me? What did you say? Hey Jordan, next time either pass the ball or we'll order you a sandwich while you make up your mind?" and my heart sank deeper into my chest. I was a freshman in high school and he remembered that? Word for word?

"Yeah, that was kind of funny. The look you gave me in response was priceless. Like,. Who the hell is this little shit!"

"So brave, so NOT afraid of me. Of course, I wasn't Zeus back then like I am now, HA!" he barked, causing me to jump. "I respected you starting that very moment," he said. I slipped my hand gently in his lap and I felt his bulge. It was so sexy I couldn't speak.

"Jordan, I love Josh so much and I don't want to sound like I love everyone the same but," and I leaned forward and kissed him. He froze for a second and I pressed harder. His lips grabbed mine and we kissed, like boys in love. I knew we weren't and I knew he was making himself do this to make me happy. He pulled back from me.

"Nobody else, Tyson Breck. No other guy in the world gets that from me. That was just for you," he said.

"Thank you. Jordan. I can' tell you how much it meant."

"Maybe one day, just one time you get a pass before I leave for college," and he was quiet. "Just one time, Ty. I will give it to you, whatever you want," he said, in a slow voice, with tons of hesitation.

"You will?" I said.

"Yeah, baby," and the last kiss made it difficult for both of us as he drove me back to my house.

Before I exited the SUV, Jordan said, "Don't worry about that other thing. That motherfucker played his best hand. And probably the only hand he will have." I smiled, knowing he had assuredly done his worst, just like Jordan said. "White trash," he hissed.

I had only just made it back home when Ty came bounding into the door.

"Hey Josh," he said to me, giving me a soft look.

"Hey babe, how are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm great, Josh. I'm not afraid of what asshole did to us. I had a great time with Jordan tonight and he reminded me how brave I am. Let them do whatever they want. They can't separate you and me!" he said. My heart was thumping. I was so happy to see him so relaxed.

"Boys, can you come into the family room please?" barked Bill. We walked down the hall and into the family room where he and mom were sitting.

"Take a seat, boys," mom said. We did. EVerybody doing ok? Have a good night?" We nodded, remaining very quiet,.

"I want to fill you in on what has transpired," said Bill. "First, I have met with the athletic director at the club. He has been informed at the level of harassment aimed at Ty. Ashton will not be permitted to play in tomorrow's game. I intend to have him removed from the team as his conduct does not warrant his placement on the team, no matter his seat."

I looked at Ty. He looked astounded but did not take his eyes off of his father.

"Secondly, I have made it plain that I will not engage in a trial of sorts of whether the accusations levied toward you are true or not. This is based on simple unsportsmanlike conduct. Do you understand?" Bill said. Ty and I both nodded.

"It would be best if you not go on about this with people, especially if anyone tries to engage. Might be best to just say, yeah whatever, or something you guys say when you want to blow something off," and he laughed.

"I talked to Bryce tonight and he understands. I think our friends will fall in line and not let it get out of hand," I offered. Bill nodded.

"Ty, play tomorrow if you're up to it," and he cleared his throat. I know I looked buzzed. "But if you don't want to, I will understand."

"I'm playing," Ty said.

"I'm just warning you that if the team is aware of what he's done, there may be some side taking. Don't engage. You have two responsibilities. Play your best and do what the coach says. That's it, do you understand?" Bill said.

"Yes sir," Ty said. He and mom said good night and suggested we get to bed. We didn't get to bed right away. He and I stayed up and talked quietly in his room.

"Let me tell you about tonight," Ty said. He was beaming so I knew it had been good for him.

"Jordan was amazing. We had the best dinner at the Brazilian place!" Ty said.

"That must have cost!" I replied.

"Probably but it was so good. I told him about what happened and he was pissed."

"I bet he was. He's so protective of you," I said.

"We went to a party for a little while. I had two drinks and we ran into my friend Rally. He seems to have a boyfriend. It really surprised me. The guy was really hot."

"Oh is there a new guy I need to check out?" I said, laughing. He raised one eyebrow at me.

"Not before I get a better look!" he said. "Josh, I need to tell you something. I kissed Jordan. I really did. I planted one on him and it was sexy," and my heart skipped a beat. "Tell me more," I thought to myself. "But it was more than sexy. It was like an affirmation. The grand affirmation, I guess. It was almost like goodbye but not quite. I was happy, Josh. It wasn't like Friday night with Tristan," Ty said. The reference to Friday night was a nice touch.

"I'm not mad, Ty. I trust Jordan even if I don't trust you!" and Ty gasped. I cracked up laughing. "The thing about Friday night, yeah, I started that. We haven't had a chance to get into that."

"It's ok but let's finish about tonight," Ty said. "It was just a kiss and it was awesome. Just don't be mad."

"I told you I wasn't. Besides, the same thing happened with Bryce. He kissed me again. Part of me didn't mind it but I had to put an end to it. He gets like that when he's drinking and he's feeling "lonely" since Lisa broke up with him. I let him down gently and I think he gets it. I'm not going to find fault with him for trying. It's if he disrespects me then I'll set him straight. We ok?" I asked.

"I'm not worried about Bryce," Ty said.

"Tristan?" I asked. "What about him and Jack?" I asked.

"They're fizzling, Josh," Ty said. "I think it's why he picked a fight with his mom. I think he would rather fight with her than he would with Jack. Jack apparently has some boy in DC that lives in his dad's building. Tristan is sure they have hooked up or that they are hooking up," Ty said, nearly causing me shock.

"What the fuck! Do I need to sort Jack out?" I asked.

"No, he wants it to die out quietly, if that's what it's going to do. He said they're going to talk next week. Actually, he said the thing we did Friday night proved to him that he's not tied down anymore. Tristan said he felt very special Friday night. It was better than real sex and doing it with his best friends. Well, I felt like that too, Josh. It was so, well, intimate."

"Yeah I liked it too. But you and me, babe, we need to have our own time. I want YOU. I'm so horny talking about all this. These are just friends and may be with us or not in the long run. I hope they are but I don't care. Everything that happens is meant to make you and me happy from here on. I'm going back down the path of "you and me" babe. Nothing gets past you and me even if we have to show some love. I will never live this again once I go off to college."

"Don't talk like that, babe. We're already there, Josh. We are so there! It is all about us and us being happy. Fuck Ashton and his revenge!" I smiled and looked into his eyes. I could see some influence of alcohol. He told me about the fancy drinks they had and I agreed they were prissy drinks. We cracked up laughing. Ty confirmed he was really going to play. I confirmed that I was going to be there to cheer him on and all the way. Fuck what everyone thinks. Fuck anyone who thinks Ty and I are some kind of deviants. There is nothing deviant about love. Ty put his arms around me and there was an electricity. It was neither me holding him up or him holding me up. It was a gesture of equality and mutual support. We would get through this, the last big hurdle before graduation.
