Ty

I woke up early on Saturday morning. I couldn't sleep with everything going on. I mean, it's all good in some ways but in others it's very stressful. I looked in my closet which was a mess. Tristan and I had decided it was time for a purge. We needed to get rid of some of our clothes. Some of my things are at least two years old. I'm never going to wear them again. They are either childish or out of style. I pulled hangers of shirts out of the closet and they dropped to the floor. I reached over to my desk and grabbed my iPad to kick start some music for inspiration.

"Oh hell yeah," I said as I looked at a really cool sleeveless t-shirt I used to wear before Josh came. I hated to let it go but it was really time. I heard the bathroom door open and I turned and Josh walked in, holding his head.

"Hey babe, have a good time last night?" I asked.

"What's all the noise in here?" he growled. "Uh-oh" I thought. "Joshy has a hangover," and I laughed.

"Sorry, is the music too loud?" I giggled.

"Uh, yeah. I think you woke the whole house!" and he turned and went back to the bathroom. I heard him pee and then it was quiet again. I turned the volume down just a bit. He had just demonstrated that bit of "Asshole Josh" that you can't help but love and I didn't resent him. In fact, I thought there was a little something I could do for him. I walked across my bedroom and opened the door and the smell of coffee wafted into my room. "Yummmm!" I said.

I went downstairs to find Gigi sitting in the family room while mom and dad were sitting at the kitchen island drinking coffee.

"Mawning, sugar-bug," said Gigi. I cracked up.

"What's that?" I asked. "Nobody says that, Gigi!" I quipped. She giggled.

"Gigi says what comes to mind now, come here and give me a hug," she said. I did.

"Did you enjoy last night?" I asked her.

"Oh I did. It was a marvelous night. I remember all too well those special occasions we used to have at our club. I always had the perfect jewels and Mary Louise had the perfect shoes! We knew what really mattered back then," she said with a grin.

"And they made me hand polish my shoes, Ty," said my dad. "We had to be "shiny" for those occasions," he said and he laughed.

"And you always were, Bill. You were as dashing as any boy there," Gigi said.

"I think he's rather dashing now," quipped mom. He smiled.

"You all are!" said Gigi. "I know we're making fun of looks and shallow things here but I have to say I have never been more proud. Your family has come together so nicely," and I almost spit out coffee because I wanted to laugh at that. I would have to tell Tristan she said that. "And Josh represented himself perfectly last night. I think he showed tremendous substance in his speech. Thoughtful, funny. What a lovely boy he is, Karen," Gigi said. I watched mom turn away and lower her head. I knew what that meant. Mom was not an outwardly emotional person, unless she was mad. She took her relationship with Josh very seriously. She was lenient and giving when she thought it was appropriate but would drop his shit in a minute if she thought he deserved or needed it. And, on the few occasions that happened, she didn't do it in front of me or my dad. She always handled him privately. But now, she was feeling some things that I'm feeling. Her son is graduating today.

"Hey mom," I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. "You ok?" I asked. Bill was looking over to her.

"Oh yes, What Gigi said, well she's right. Josh was just..." and she gasped, unable to finish her sentence.

"He didn't get that way by accident," Gigi said. "Their best traits are never an accident," she said, lifting herself out of her chair. "That boy, well, these boys have been raised by good people and they got good genes. We can only be so thankful and excited," Gigi said, wrapping her arms around me.

"You're right Gigi," mom said.

"She almost always is!" said Dad.

"Almost always? Then there are those accidental traits!" barked Gigi, causing us all to laugh.

"I'm going to make some breakfast," I said. "We could all do with some bacon!" I pulled eggs and bacon out of the fridge. Gigi asked me to give her the eggs and a bowl. She went to work breaking eggs, one handed into the large glass bowl. She looked like a master chef, so graceful and purposeful. I love my Gigi. She was a lady the rest wish they could be.

I laid strips of bacon into the pan that was starting to heat up. I handed Gigi the whisk.

"I haven't done this in so long. Breakfast was always my favorite meal," Gigi said. "I could accomplish a lot of thinking,"

"Or scheming," said Bill.

"Over a good breakfast. Scheming! You are really something, aren't you son?" Gigi laughed. She whisked the eggs gently in a circle. "Best not to over beat them," she said. "I like the whites in my eggs."

"I do too, Gigi. That's the true way to scramble eggs," said mom and they chatted about nothing as Gigi whisked. The smell of bacon filled the kitchen and it must have swept upstairs because Josh came out dressed in athletic shorts and a t-shirt.

"Damn that smells good," he said as he came down stairs.

"Someone had a late night," Mom said. "You all have a good time?" she asked.

"We did. Lisa's parents had a nice setup at their house and we had a great time."

"Joshua, you were nothing short of amazing. I will always be so glad I was here for that, if not for today," Gigi said. Josh smiled. I loved that he loved my Gigi. He didn't poke at her like she was just some old lady. He treated her really well. I think she won him over when she pointed out our relationship to us, and the fact that he rocks on his feet. Nothing gets past Gigi.

Josh was doling out the finer parts of their "after dinner party" as I laid the bacon out to dry and poured the eggs into the pan, turning the heat down. That party was for seniors only and "by invite only." Her parents weren't going to host a wild ass graduation party, not now that her dad is the mayor.

Soon, we were all seated around the table and eating breakfast. We went over the schedule. Josh's graduation would start at 4 pm and probably conclude around 6. It was at the indoor stadium at the local college as the high school didn't have room for graduation services unless we did it outside and the weather this time of year was very unpredictable. We would need to be in our seats around 3 pm, to be sure you got a good seat. The chorus was singing two pieces as preservice music that I would play for. The other guy could have played them but the director asked I do it because Josh was part of the graduation, as a commemoration and this was a big event for me. I appreciated that.

After breakfast, Josh slinked upstairs. He looked tired. I know this week had been a lot for him to process. My man, heaving himself up the stairs, quietly. I am being honest when I say I'm very preoccupied by all of this but I am for damn sure NOT preoccupied to take care of my man.

"Excuse me everyone, I want to talk to Josh a bit. He needs some pep talk!" I declared. There were no objections. Everyone thanked me for getting breakfast going and dad said he would help with the dishes. Gigi was going to watch one of her cooking shows on the Food Network.

I entered Josh's bedroom just in time to hear the shower start up. His room was pretty neat given the lack of attention he had paid to it this week. His dirty clothes hadn't built up because he hadn't been to work this week. I stepped into the bathroom and quietly closed the door behind me. I gently opened the curtain to see him standing in the water.

"Hey, close the curtain. Water's getting out," Josh said. I pulled off my t-shirt and let my shorts drop to the ground.

"Ty," he said with angst. "What are you doing?" he asked and he gave me a sly smile, that smile that showed his teeth on the right side, and a flash in his eyes.

"Josh," I said, entering the shower. "Why do you look so grown up all of a sudden?" I asked.

"Do I?" he asked.

"Yes. I feel like you've become a man and I'm still a boy. You look, I don't know, older, wiser. Older," I said, quietly, studying his face.

"I feel like it. Damn shame I look it too!" he said. I laughed.

"No, on you, it just looks hotter!" I eased up to him and we let our bodies press together. I kissed him. Water dripped between us.

"Babe, the whole family's downstairs. We shouldn't..."

"Shut up, daddy, your boy is here now and he's going to give you something you deserve," I said, repaying the sly grin. I dropped to my knees. I didn't have to say or do anything at this point. His cock was getting hard. I loved how his cock got stimulated just by his thoughts. His pubes were wetted down. Drops of water dripped from the tip that was jetting toward my face. I pushed forward and he entered my mouth with ease. The skin was tight, his head was swollen. It slipped between my teeth. I motioned my head from side to side and pressed my tongue against the underside of his dick. He leaned back against the wall. He didn't say much, but only gave some light groans. I knew he was getting close from the mouth lashing I was giving him. There was a slight tremble in his left leg. I scooped up his balls and grabbed the base of his dick as I pressed down on him until he was near the back of my throat.

"Oh shit," he eased out in a quiet whisper. "I'm cumming," was all he said as his cum splashed into the back of my throat. There was that taste, the one I never really liked but was willing to endure because it was Josh's. He shot a couple of times then splurted out a couple of lesser gobs of cum. I had taken his load in two swallows. He remained against the wall. I stood, letting the shower water clean the spit off my face.

"What was that for? I don't remember if you said," Josh said, smiling at me with a warm satisfied look.

"Because it's you, Josh. Today is your big day and I wanted you to start it off with something, well, just for you. Was it good?" I asked.

"You don't have to ask that. You know it was, Ty," and I watched as his face turned slightly red.

"Come on, Josh. That was meant to be fun. I didn't mean to stir up emotions!" I whispered.

"I love you so much, Ty. You are so fucking perfect," he said, grabbing my head with some force and pulling me to him. I kissed him again. I would never if all my life grow tired of the feel of his lips. They were literally everything on the outside that his dick was when it was in the inside.

I left the shower without saying anything and I let him finish. I dressed without showering again. I had to get to school for the rehearsal and warm up. This day was going to go fast! I had texts from Tristan, Mel, Rally, and Caleb. I only had time for short answers but I got to them all.

I picked my double breasted blazer and khakis and dressed. I got my hair styled which was a pain because it had gotten longer on top. I said goodbye to Gigi and the family, making sure mom remembered to save seats for Tristan for me. We would want to sit out in the crowd during the commencement ceremony.

Checking myself in the mirror, and oh hell yeah I looked good, I headed over to Tristan's to pick him up. I rang the doorbell but Tristan had been watching and barrelled out the door. He was wearing a blue blazer and madrid pants. Yep, he looked good too.

"What are you waiting for, let's go! Remember we're picking up Julia too," he said, marching to the car. Julia had asked if she could ride with us. She's really coming into her own and has been really friendly with Tristan and me.

"What, no hugs and kisses?" I said with a laugh.

"We ain't got time for all that!" and he climbed into my car. I cracked up.

"Dude, did you make sure we would have saved seats?" he asked.

"Of course!"

"Do you have your music?" I asked.

"Right here," he said, lifting his music folder." He paused. "Hey Ty, you alright sweetie?" he asked, patting my knee.

"Yep, all good. And I made sure Josh is good too," and I did a lip lick with my tongue.

"Oh glory to God, that's hot!" he squealed. "I wish I could have helped!"

"I bet you do but I had it all under control," and I raised one eyebrow at him. He cracked up.

"I'm sure it made all the difference, relieving him of all that pent up stress!" We had to laugh at that as well. "I may have to pay some respects to Joshie after graduation!"

"We'll see about that," I said. We stopped by the Chatleys' house and Julia came out wearing the most incredible pink sleeveless dress. Tristan got out and opened the back door for her.

"Whoa ho! Where did you get that a-MAZ-ing dress?" he asked.

"Mom and I picked it out. You like?" Julia asked, climbing into the car.

"Oh hell yeah, Julia. You are stunning!" I commented and she beamed.

"We need to have that talk with her," Tristan said, getting back into the car.

"What talk is that?" asked Julia. I knew what talk. "You mean the birds and squirrels and what the fuck!" Julia chimed.

"Language from an eighth grader!" I barked.

"Not exactly that," said Tristan. "But we need to make sure you know what do to with the boys when they come knocking, and Julia, you have become so fucking beautiful they're going to come knocking!" She smiled.

"Nah, they're too afraid of Bryce."

"He won't be here," and she looked surprised like she had forgotten he was graduating today. "But we will be," I said.

"Oh God, I love you two. I'm so glad I came out of that horrible fog and now I can talk to you guys!," she said. She pushed her bouncy blonde hair behind her ears and leaned forward and put her arms around Tristan's neck. "Wait til I tell you what Nikki Adams did," she said, getting excited about some recent gossip.

"Wow," he said, showing how flattered he was. We pulled into the parking lot and Lord and Taylor it was a mess. Cars and people were scattered everywhere. Students and parents were scrambling all over the place. Julia headed to the lobby to meet her friends. Tristan and I made our way to the rear of the arena to meet with the choir. Practice went well so Tristan and I went out to see who we could see. We just did catch a glimpse of Josh and Bryce surrying down the hall in their gowns. I felt a cramp or a spasm in my intestines. My face squinched.

"Ty, it's ok. He's graduating, not you. It's going to be incredible for you to get to watch this. For both of us!" Tristan said. Then Ricky Rose and his mom entered the lobby with Jordan Rose and his mom behind them.

"Oh my God," I growled.

"Ty!" shouted Ricky and he came running toward us. "Hey guys, what's up!" Ricky shouted at us.

"Hey Ricky," I said as he fell into my arms.

"What's up little man," Jordan said quietly. I looked up at him.

"J-Jordan," I stammered. "I can't believe this is happening today," I said. "Congratulations! You are so lucky they passed you!" and everyone started to laugh.

"I was lucky in that literature course. Not sure Burch liked me as much as he did Josh."

"Isn't that always the case?" asked Tristan, causing everyone to laugh again.

"Gotta go. See you later," Jordan said, pointing to me and then to Ricky. Again pains ripped through my intestines.

"Do they all have to go at one time?" I asked?

"It's ok," said Ricky. "Jordan and Josh are going to be sensational!" and he trailed off with his mom and his aunt to find their seats. Tristan and I checked off any number of other familiar families as they entered the lobby of the arena. My family entered and I confirmed with mom that she would save seats for Tristan and me for after the performance.

In order to get everyone called to order, the chorus sang a vintage song by Toni Mitchell called Both Sides Now. It was a good arrangement. I could tell people were moved, were getting nostalgic and everything. Just after, the orchestra started tuning and at the conductor's instruction, began the Pomp and Circumstance. And oh did the seniors come. I believe the count was slated to be 185 graduating seniors. They looked so regal in their navy blue and gold robes. We caught glimpses of everyone that mattered as they marched in, Bryce and Lisa near the front of the line and Josh near the end. Then the chorus finished the performance with a dedication anthem called I Believe in You. Tristan and I left through the side door with the trampling of chorus members and found our way to our saved seats.

"That was so good," said mom.

"Beautiful," said Gigi. Dad and Dan smiled at us.

Principal Dillard opened the ceremony, "Ladies and gentlemen, faculty, graduating seniors! YOu have all worked with industrial strength to get to this point. Parents, all I can say is Congratulations! Good work!" and the audience laughed at the witty humor. Announcements came next, then they launched into the speeches. Lisa Buxtehude gave a speech as President of the Student Council. Ginny Tatum gave the Valedictorian speech. It was good. She stated that success for this graduating class, so she believed, was a combination of technology, ingenuity, and good old fashioned "Standing on the shoulders of giants!" as quoted from Sir Isaac Newton. She was super elegant, as was Lisa.

Then there were awards and other acknowledgements. I felt terrible pains in my tummy and I was afraid I would fart in the middle of this thing. I mean, just so you know, guys like me don't do that in places like this!

Principal Dillard then took his place on the stand and asked the seniors to come forward to accept their diplomas. The school orchestra started playing the theme from Finlandia as the seniors marched up to the stage, then crossed the stage to accept the fake diplomas. I watched as each one of our friends took theirs. Lisa's hair bounced under her cap. Bryce's blonde hair jutted out from his cap which looked really cute.

"Damn, he's hot," whispered Tristan to me. I nodded in agreement. "I'm glad I got some of dat!" he again whispered into my ear. I took his hand and squeezed the life out of it. Mom tapped my leg and told me to stop playing. Jordan Rose eased across the stage as if he had just crossed the basketball court. His robe blew backwards as if he were walking into the wind. He was so dashing. Ginny marched across the stage and accepted her rolled up parchment. And finally, yes, after watching all these numbskulls get their diplomas, I, along with Tristan and family watched our own, my own Joshua Preston Warner walk across the stage. I felt a little dizzy. A tear dropped from my right eye. Tristan's eyes welled up. I looked to mom for comfort and she was pinching her nose. Dad gave me a half-assed smile as if this was HIS son graduating. The most satisfying look was held by Dan Warner, Josh's dad. His cheeks were red and his eyes were watery. He was proud. After all they had been through, Josh would want to know that his dad, his real dad, was so proud of his son. Mom reached beside her and patted his arm. My eyes went to Josh' fake diploma as he held it up. I could make out the blue and gold silk ribbon tied around the rolled document. I would collect that ribbon and hold on to it for dear life, so that when I get my fake diploma next year, I will have both our ribbons. I would connect them and put some spell on them to keep them joined forever.

What a silly plan, right? Well not so silly as the fact I felt my insides move, literally. I saw mom and Josh's dad give each other a satisfied look.

"I'm so glad they broke up amicably," I said to Tristan. "This could have been a real shit show!" He giggled quietly and nodded.

"I hate those nasty divorces," he whispered back. That's just about when pain hit my insides and I knew what the end result looked like. I got up and squeezed over the people between us and the aisle. Sweat was building on my face. I felt damp and clammy. I pushed hard and got out of there. I moved quickly, silently, to the lobby and looked up to see restroom signs down the hall. I ran and was glad that it wasn't far. I bolted into the bathroom, hit the stall door and landed on my knees as my lunch flooded out of me and into the toilet. A second wave swept over me and I just heaved intestinal crap. I surely felt so much better. I wasn't sure why this hit me so hard.

A guy came into the bathroom as I was washing my face and hands.

"Hey Ty, you ok buddy? You look pale," he said, in a friendly tone.

"Yeah, I think so. I just got sick all of a sudden. I don't think it's a bug or anything," I said, realizing I didn't know who this was but he looked familiar.

"I'm sorry, you seem to know me. Have we met?" I asked.

"Well sort of," and he took his place at a stall and began to pee. He kept talking as he did.

"My name's Beau. I beat you in tennis last year, you remember?" and he looked down to finish and zip himself up.

"Several people beat me last year," I gulped. "Which wretched match did you win?"

"The one where you sat your cute little ass down on the court in protest for those shitty calls!" he barked, giving me a slap on my arm, with his unwashed hand, as he passed me to the sinks.

"Oh yes! I remember. Beau Mmm, um Beau Mills?" I said.

"Beau Marsh," he responded.

"Yep that's it!" I said. He was rather cute, well really cute. Brown hair with some curl. His hair was longer now than last fall. He was lean, with sculpted shoulders and a pronounced back. He moved quickly, as if trying to get to something or away from something.

"You played great. Those calls were bad though. Everyone knew it. You were so fucking brave, sitting out like that," and suddenly it dawned on me that he had just complimented my ass. He's a real "team player" I realized.

We exited the bathroom.

"What brings you to the graduation?" I asked.

"I have a couple of friends graduating. Sorry, I meant just one friend graduating. One friend terminated our friendship last week," he said and suddenly I was thinking back to some tweets. I opened my phone and asked him to keep talking while I searched twitter.

"I'm transferring here for my senior year, Ty. I have been dying to meet you in person again. I suspect," and Tristan came up to us.

"What are you doing, Ty? You ok?"

"And there's the other one," said Beau and Tristan looked offended.

"I was just saying I suspect you two will be the guys to know next year. Ty and Tristan, the amazing pair!" announced Beau. Ok, so that was kind of cool. Beau led Tristan and me to some benches and we sat. I found what I was looking for - Beau's twitter account.

"NO this is not a scene from Love, Simon. It's a scene from Love, Beau! Yes I'm gay. Get on it or get over it!"

I flashed my phone toward Beau and he cracked up.

"Clever," said Tristan, reading the notation. "How did it go over?"

"Oh my fucking God!" said Beau. "The drama. My parents are livid so I've moved into my grandmother's old house out by the country club with my aunt. My aunt said I could as long as I didn't throw any parties. Not really probable as my best friend told me now that I'm gay, I can fuck myself and have the best fuck of my life all at the same time. I felt for you Ty because my face was dropped into the shitter last week when I lost my insides a couple of times!"

"Do tell," said Tristan. "You got us going now!" I informed Tristan that Beau was the one playing me the day I staged the sit down on the court. He looked impressed but he had our curiosities up. I mean, someone with Beau's status, coming out? Shouldn't be getting past Tristan and me.

"So my parents burned through my high school allowance left to me by my grandmother. She was a Rhodes and rich as hell!" Beau said and that caused Tristan and me to go wide eyed.

"And because of their shit, there wasn't enough money to pay for my senior year at the Academy. I'm so embarrassed its no wonder I didn't commit suicide!" he said. "So fuck them. When I told them I was gay in tenth grade, they told me I best keep that to myself if I wanted life as I knew to remain in line. Fuck them!" he said again. "I busted the damn door down last week and came out anyway. They spent my money so now I'm graduating from public school."

"Damn, Beau," I said. "What a damn mess!"

"Damn mess!" repeated Tristan. "So what now?"

"Well, I'll be honest. Meeting you two was on my bucket list. I mean, coming out and coming to this school, yeah, I thought dropping myself at your mercy would be the best plan!" and he laughed.

"Not a bad plan," I said. We talked a bit more about me running the diversity council and then he finished by telling me he had to find a lawyer because his college money was in a separate fund and they hadn't gotten that yet. He needed to find a lawyer of his own that would lock the funds up so he could go to college without his parents interference.

"My dad's a lawyer," I said.

"Yeah but I'm not a criminal," Beau said.

"My dad does corporate law. He knows all about trusts and stuff. You can come over sometime and I will get you some time with him. Maybe he can give you some good advice." Beau beamed. "I didn't know that!" he said.

"HIs dad is amazing," said Tristan.

"Yeah? And I get my teeth cleaned at your dad's dentist office!" Beau barked and ok, that was funny too. We exchanged contact info and Tristan and I were about to head back into the auditorium when he grabbed my arm.

"Hey Ty, today isn't all about me. I know about you and your stepbrother Josh and from what I hear, you've had an amazing fucking time together. I hear he's a dream. You are so lucky and I know it must hurt watching him go through this, heading off and all. It's some shit, I know. I'm sorry," he said.

"Thank you, Beau. That's the coolest thing you could've said. Josh is amazing and to be honest, I'm going to be pouring a lot of time into him the next few weeks. Don't get concerned if I seem a little busy. I'm going to set you up with my dad and then you, Tri, and me, well, we're gonna hang. Fuck your old friends," I said and I gave him a nose twinkle. He understood the gesture and he smiled. One of his front two teeth gently crossed the other so I'm sure he never had braces. The imperfection only added to his boyish good looks and personality.

"I like him," said Tristan.

"I do too," I said.

"And he likes you," Tristan said.

"Who doesn't?" I asked with a laugh.

"I mean, he really does," Tristan said. I knew that but I didn't want to hear it right now. Josh was my focus. Josh was all I could think about. We pushed our way back into the auditorium in time for Principal Dillard to introduce us to the "graduated class!" Caps flew up in all directions. The orchestra began playing the school song. We pushed out back into the aisle and eased out to the lobby. We had a lot of people to greet. The family was going on about what a lovely commencement it was.

"What a joy to see him walk across that stage!" said Gigi. "Karen, I can only vaguely remember the feeling but I do remember watching Bill with great satisfaction. It's a strong feeling, I know," Gigi, giving mom's arm a squeeze. Mom couldn't speak so she just smiled appreciatively.

"And how great is it that Mr. Warner could be here!" I added, throwing some attention on him. My dad came across and took Mr. Warner's hand into his.

"I for one am delighted you are here, Dan. I know it made all the difference to Josh," he said.

"And to me," said mom, giving her ex-husband a hug.

Well that's it for all the family emotions. We waited and waited and finally Josh came darting from the back hall into the main lobby. It was a sea of parents and graduation robes but I was the first he saw. He put his arms around me and hugged me and tears started flowing from my eyes.

"Hey baby," he whispered. "It's all good. I just graduated. I didn't get sent off to war," and he chuckled. I popped his arm with my fist. I'm sure it didn't hurt. The family ambushed us at this point. I looked for Tristan but he was off visiting some friends and their parents. Soon, the parents from the Friday night dinner had made their way to us. The Tatum's and the Chatleys and even Mayor Buxtehude gathered. Everyone wanted to congratulate Ginny and Lisa on well delivered speeches.

"I find it's best to let the women have their say!" said Josh and all the men roared. Mom gave him a raised eyebrow look.

Dinner was a family affair, including Tristan, at the Oakwood Room which was a private club that was the top floor of the BOA Tower. Dad's law firm maintained a membership so he was able to get reservations for the special occasion. All I can say about that experience is that the people were gorgeous and the food was amazing. I might never have lamb chops that good again. And Josh, having dripped lamb chop sauce on his pants, might never be invited back to such a luxurious restaurant <wink, wink>.
