Welcome back! While Paul and Tyler get a little closer in the backseat of Paul's car, a pickup has pulled in behind them. What fate awaits the two boys?

This story deals with adult themes, primarily same-gender sexual relations. Such relations have their basis in love and commitment, rather than sex for the sake of sex alone. In some cases they will use protection; at other times they will not. You and I should always use protection because we do not live in the world of fiction.

If you are offended the idea of homosexuality or if you are under the age of consent or if you reside in an area where such things are considered illegal or immoral, then you should seek entertainment elsewhere.

A Thousand Rainbows by Mike Williams

Despite its rough exterior, the motor of Jack's "Deathtrap" purred quietly as he eased the vehicle into the parking area of the weigh-station on Sams Creek Road. Thanks to the light of a nearly full moon, he had already cut the headlights. Jennifer slid a little closer to him, and he put his arm around her shoulders. He leaned in for a kiss when something caught his eye. In the gloom outside the pickup he could make out the shape of a car about fifty feet away.

"That looks like Paul's car," he said. "Do you remember him saying anything about a date tonight?"

"No," Jennifer answered. "What would he be doing out here this time of night?"

Jack smiled an evil smile at his girlfriend. "Exactly the same thing we're doing out here this time of night." He looked back at Paul's car, but could see no movement or sign of life. "I'd better check this out. You wait here, baby."

He started to get out of the truck, but Jennifer tugged on his arm. "You're not going anywhere until ..."

"Oh yeah, almost forgot." Jack leaned back in for a kiss before closing the door softly behind him.

Uncertain what to expect, he quietly approached Paul's car, but couldn't make out any detail. As he got closer to the driver's door, he knocked on the window, scaring the wits out of the two boys inside. Hearing cries of surprise from within, Jack impulsively opened the door, which switched on the dome light, illuminating the entire inside of the car and exposing two half-naked young men to his gaze.

Three mouths hung open for a moment before Jack closed the door, extinguishing the dome light.

"Are you alright?" Paul asked.

Tyler's breathing was strained, as he reached for his inhaler and quickly gave himself two quick hits. "Remember what I said the other day about little surprises?"

"Yeah," Paul replied. "I guess this is one of `em."

Tyler nodded. Both of their hearts were pounding in their chests. The medication quickly took effect. "You better pull your pants up and get out there. I'll be right behind you."

"Shit. I'm not looking forward to this," Paul said as he zipped his fly and buckled his belt. Then he turned to Tyler for a quick kiss before exiting the vehicle. "Wish me luck."

Tyler nodded. "We're gonna need it."

Jack had stepped away from the car and stood with his arms folded across his chest, facing the deserted road. Paul slowly walked about half the distance to where his brother was standing.

"Jack," Paul called softly.

Jack turned slowly to regard his brother in the moonlight. Paul's shirt was still untucked, but at least he was presentable. "What the fuck was going on in there, Paul?"

"Well, after work I met up with Tyler," Paul stammered. "And we stopped at Cindy's for something to drink. And then we came out here for ... uh ... a little ... um ... privacy."

"A little privacy?" Jack turned and started walking in an aimless circle, unsure of what to say or do next. He stopped to face Paul and noticed Tyler standing next to his brother. "Just how long has this been going on? No ... no ... this is none of my business."

He turned and started walking back to his pickup.

"Jack," Paul said. "Are you gonna tell Mom?"

Jack stopped in his tracks and looked down at the ground, shaking his head. He paused, then turned and started walking back to his brother. In the gloom of midnight he could see the two boys standing very close together, closer, he thought, than two casual friends would stand. He looked into the eyes of the two teens, as much as the darkness would allow.

"No," he said quietly. "Look, Paul ... I know how hard it's been growing up without a father. If you found someone who makes you happy ... at least, I hope that's what this is ... then I'm not the one to stand in your way." He looked to Tyler, then back to Paul. "I sure as hell don't understand it, but I'm not going to stand in your way. Now, why don't you guys get back in the car and head on home? You don't want to be out after curfew."

"Thanks, Jack."

"Don't thank me yet, Paul," Jack said. "I only said I wouldn't tell Mom. I won't tell anybody. If you guys ... well ... oh, shit, just get in your car and get outta here. Oh, and, Tyler, you got a big glob of cum on your shirt."

Tyler was grateful for cover of darkness to hide the embarrassment that showed on his face. He pulled a handkerchief out of his back pocket to wipe away the traces of their lusty fun.

Jack watched as Paul and Tyler made their way back toward Paul's car. "Tyler, wait up."

Paul took his seat behind the wheel as Tyler and Jack started walking toward each other, until they were less than three feet apart. The two young men stood face to face and stared at each other for a moment. In spite of their close proximity, Tyler was unable to read the expression on Jack's face. Then Jack reached up and put a hand on Tyler's shoulder. His face softened a bit as he looked the swimmer in the eye.

"Tyler," he said quietly, "take good care of my brother."

Tyler smiled. "I will, Jack. I promise."
