Chapter #33
In the short time Stewart and I have been together, I found a man that I never knew existed. I could lose myself in the beauty of his toned muscular body and his soft blue eyes would suddenly blaze with passion and pull me into their hot embracing depths. He would breath and I felt the warmth surrounding, covering me, his heart beating softly, steadily quickening as he rose to the heights of passion equaling mine. Thundering, ecstatic climaxes engulfed us both and no words were needed as we melted into a quivering passionate physical love knowing what we both felt and needed.
The soft aftermath was that period when I always knew that no one would ever replace Stu in my life. We belonged to each other with a devotion that seldom is found in the human of the animal species.
We both woke up when Stu slipped slowly off of me his arm trailing over my sticky chest and his leg still hooked over mine, his thick cock trapped against my hip.
Cocking one eye at the clock, it read 4AM and I whispered in Stu's ear. "You wanna get a shower?"
"What for?" He groaned snuggling closer. "I like feeling you like this."
"Yeah but if this crap dries, we'll have to soak it off." I said quietly playing Stu's game.
"That'd be fun wouldn't it?" He said lifting his head and kissing me. "How long have we slept?"
"Just a couple of hours or so, that's all. What time did Rob and Devon say they would be getting up?"
Stu twisted and his magnificent muscles rippled and swelled as he moved off and over me sitting on the side of the bed. Turning he looked down at me, "They didn't but if I know Rob, he'll be up before 7AM. He always liked being in the office before everyone else. I just hope they can straighten things out."
"They will Stu, they both love each other to much not too." I said following him off of the bed.
The shower water was warm and invigorating and we stood under it washing each other, making love with our hands, fingers touching secret sensitive places. After showering we dried each other and slipped back into bed cuddling close and I pulled Stu too me holding him tight feeling the beat of his heart and easy relaxed breathing as we dozed off.
There was a light knock at our door while we were dressing after our morning shower. Stu looked through the peephole and then opened it, Robert and Devon walked in.
"Hi guys, how about some breakfast, we are starved?" Rob said cheerily.
"Breakfast yes, but do you have to be so damn cheerful this early?" I asked glancing at Stu and Devon.
"Ohhhh, we are grumpy this morning are we?" Rob said looking at Stu who just grinned. "Devon and I have some good news so why shouldn't we be cheerful?"
"Good news Robby?" Stu asked, looking at his brother and Devon, his eyes wide with sudden excitement.
"We think it is Stu." Devon said moving closer to Rob. "We talked and talked last night before we both realized we were tearing each other apart. I think I fell in love with Rob the afternoon he walked in too the Branston with you and Clyde. Maybe if I had known he was married things might have been different but I didn't know and I honestly don't remember if anyone told me he was. The way I feel now, it might not even have made any difference if I had. I'm going back too Lincoln with you guys when we go and Rob is staying here until he has things straightened out with his family. It is going to be hard enough for him to do that without me hanging around."
"It isn't all Devon although he makes it sound like it was. I didn't stop to think that I couldn't just send him back to Lincoln until everything was settled. My being married had nothing to do with falling in love with him; I knew that when he rolled that cart of bottles out of my room. That emptiness I always felt with Marie wasn't there. I knew what I had been fighting all of my life was true, I was gay and I wasn't going to lose Devon."
"I guess we both were being selfish." Devon said putting his arm around Rob squeezing him."
I watched smiling as Stu hugged both his brother and Devon. Knowing they had resolved the differences Stu had told me they were having made me feel a lot better and I couldn't help but think, "One less problem."
Epilogue
Robert's divorce was accomplished quietly and his wife and daughter were well taken care of. The law firm of Ricksford, Ricksford & Luskins was re-incorporated with one less Ricksford and Robert eventually opened an office in the new Hamrick Hotel of Lincoln.
Stewart's apartment building in Baltimore was acquired and lavishly converted into a luxurious townhouse. It was used whenever we visited Baltimore and eventually sold on the death of Mr. Elwood Ricksford.
The arrangements that had been made with Mattie DiAgistino for a donation to be made to the ILA Family Fund were taken care of very quietly. A letter of appreciation for the donation was received and signed by a very well known executive within the International Longshoreman's Association. Mattie sent Stu and I a case of Chevas Regal scotch and a four word card "Thanks, I owe you." We later heard that Denny's father had an accident; a crane boom knocked him over the side of a cargo carrier onto the dock. Denny received a substantial insurance check and a check from the ILA Family Fund. When we heard it Stu commented, "Ironic isn't it?" "What goes around comes around." I said smiling.
DD(Denny) and Kyle didn't fly back with us when we left Baltimore. Kyle managed to get a job for DD working at the Marriott. DD wanted to finish his education and Kyle was, I think, still hoping his father might show up. That secret I kept to myself, even after he and DD drove out and joined the staff in the hotel.
We, Stu and I, approved the plans submitted by a gay architectural firm in Lincoln and within three years, the conversion of the Branston into the Hamrick Hotel of Lincoln was accomplished with no labor problems although it had been rumored that some people were not fond of working for a homosexual contractor and architect.
With the help of Robert in Lincoln and his father in Baltimore we established an umbrella corporation covering all of our assets, The Hamrick Corporation Ltd. Stewart and I retained the titles of President and Vice-President with Robert's firm retained as the corporation's legal counsel. The main divisions within the corporation were The Hamrick Hotel in Lincoln under Scott and Devon, the Samuel Hampton Home for Boys in West Point, Neb guided by Cody and Adam and the Hamrick Black Angus Ranch in Valentine.
We re-stocked Uncle Sam's ranch with Black Angus cattle replacing those that had been sold and after establishing a 1,200 acre private game reserve that backed up to the Valentine National Wildlife Refuge we deeded that acreage too ourselves. The Hamrick Black Angus Ranch was re-deeded and incorporated under the Hamrick Corporation. The pre-existing manager and his crew were left in place with a virtual Carte Blanche to run the ranch after Robert had complete background checks done by our new Chief of Security Christopher Hardison.
You might remember Agent Hardison of the NBI. Chris was cleaning up loose ends of the Dickson/Marx investigation for the Grand Jury and we met with him several times. Devon and Robert had taken an apartment in the city but Stu and I bought a mobile home and parked it on the hotel property. Whenever Chris visited for one of his "interviews", Nicky would park his car for him.
He mentioned during one of the interviews that he was considering retirement from the Bureau and was thinking about starting his own security business.
The Hardison Security Agency was established when Chris retired and engaged as the exclusive Security Agency for all divisions of The Hamrick Corporation. Nicky. . . . . . He and Chris quietly became an item surprising everyone but Stu and I. Nicky had asked for our opinions and advice. He was just a little shy at first but Chris can be very persuasive. That Chris was gay came as a surprise at first but we suspected the frequent interviews that could have been conducted on the phone were made for another reason other then talking with us. Until Chris retired from the Bureau, they kept their relationship very quiet. It sure would not have looked very good for the NBI if the Agent in Charge that busted one of the largest porn rings in Nebraska was exposed as being a homosexual. Chris took refresher courses at the Univ. of Neb and Nicky graduated with a degree in Criminology.
The Samuel Hampton Home for Boys was incorporated as a non-profit educational organization and Cody and Adam were it's recognized Co-directors. A modest conversion of the farm and its building was required. The barn was converted into a Physical Education Building and Dormitories. The main house was converted into offices and classrooms. A private home was built for Cody and Adam some distance away from the other campus buildings. Barns were built, farm equipment bought and along with the educational aspects of the farm it became a full-fledged self-supporting institution. With the connections that Chris had within the judicial system many young boys were sent too the farm. Many were delinquents but considered non-violent and others were runaways. All were wards of the state and accordingly subject to the laws covering their particular situation. There were no fences or razor wire around the farm and after an initial indoctrination as to what would be required of them while they were at the farm and assignment to their dormitories they were given a tour. Chris took a particular delight in the lack of a recidivism rating and I enjoyed the reputation that the farm acquired.
In addition to the airstrip that had been built on the farm, we built another on the ranch and the 1,200 acres we had reserved for ourselves. The Corporation bought two Lear jets and we engaged two qualified jet pilots who also had instructor licenses. It was a lot easier flying between the ranch, our place, the farm and any other place where we had business. Most of the administrative work was left up to others and Stu and I earned our private pilot license and promptly bought a two-seater Cessna.
While the hotel and farm were being re-built, Stu and I designed and contracted for our own home on the 1,200 acres we had set aside. A big mansion you ask, nah. We only needed a two-bedroom, two-bath, family room with a large stone fireplace and oversized kitchen log cabin. We had a solar heat and electricity system installed with a 5,000 horsepower backup diesel generator. The cabin was built facing west and we had a large 5-acre lake dug and filled with the water from two 1,500-foot deep artesian wells that were dug. An agent from the State Fisheries and Wildlife department stocked the lake with trout and large mouth bass. I wasn't big on fishing but it was there if anyone wanted to and the State could use it as part of their fish farm system.
When the hotel was ready for re-opening there was a black tie affair attended by the Governor, State and U.S. Senators along with the Mayor of Lincoln and several of the mayor's of surrounding cities attend a Grand Opening black tie affair. As far as I was concerned we could have just opened the doors but business required a big promotional bash. The entire hotel was opened for the mass of dignitaries except for the penthouse apartments that were built for Robert, Devon, Stewart and myself. A five star platinum rating was assigned without even the first guest walking through the doors.
The merger of Hampton and Ricksford into The Hamrick Corporation proved to be extremely profitable as it grew. Robert and Devon were as inseparable as Stewart and I and eventually built a cabin similar to ours a few hundred feet down the northern side of the lake, almost within earshot but far enough away for privacy. We spent many evenings on the porches watching the sun set in the west and I liked to think my Uncle Sam would have approved of the way his legacy was used. I know I did.
The End
Oh, I almost forgot. Before we left Baltimore we bought the After Midnight. Tommy was so pissed he left for New York City and we haven't heard from him since. Phil Norwood took over operation of the store for us and it has expanded with outlets in every major city on the east coast. Phil never really got over loving Stu and I can't blame him for that. Did he ever find someone? Remember Rodger Spruell in Tony's Restaurant parking lot? Phil and Rodger make a beautiful couple and between them a hell of a dynamic team in the clothing business. Rodger finally got smart and dumped David for Phil.
What goes around comes around. . . . . . . . . . .
