Disclaimer: I do not know the sexual orientation of NSYNC, but this is not meant to reflect on there true status. This is a pure work of fiction and nothing more. No profit is been made, it is being wrote out of enjoyment.

Authors Notes: I am not American, i am English, so if anything sounds off, forgive me. This is NYSNC to start with but will end up having BSB in it, and a whole bunch of wild pairings.

Hope you guys like it. Any feedback, please mail me, at: adam_brittboy@yahoo.co.uk

I will try to get something out every 3-4 days. Sorry if i don't. Hope you guys like!

On to the story...

Beginnings of Something New

It's amazing how much your life can change in a few, short hours. Just two hours ago I was sitting at home, struggling to keep warm in my run down apartment, and get rid of this terrible flu, but then something happened.

Let me tell you a bit about myself first. I'm turning 21 in two weeks, December 17th. I think I'm a pretty average guy, around 5'9, 150 pounds, slight tan, toned, but not overly so etc. My best feature I think is my hair. Short, spiky and jet-black in colour. My friend, Sophie convinced me to have it styled this way, and I hate to admit it when she's right but it does look good. Although I like my hair, most people notice my eyes before anything else. A deep forest-green in colour tends to draw everyone's attention. Everyone but the right some one it seems.

My job as a freelance writer gives me time to work on my drawings. I enjoy drawing action shots. People, not posed, but busy doing something where I can draw it looking real. From this job you can probably guess I don't have much money, but my parents are well off, though I only rely on them when absolutely desperate.

Back Two hours...

Coughing and sniffling, I struggled with my achy brain deciding on what to do. Should I go out, brave the elements or stay in all day. There wasn't much day left none in fact, as it had gone 7pm, but this apartment depressing me. I needed to get out, and there was a coffee shop nearby.

So leaving the dump I call home, I slowly and groggily headed to the coffee shop.

The streets were cold, but I was colder. There was a heavy gale blowing but I couldn't get any worse than I felt so why rush?

Upon entering the modern, yet old-styled coffee shop I noticed Sebastian, my oldest friend working which gave me some cause to smile on this dreadful day.

Sebastian was slightly older than me at 24. He's almost 6ft, short, dirty blond hair and ice-blue eyes. He's really well built a result from hours in the gym. Despite his rough, tough-guy exterior he's a big teddy when you get to know him, and the first person I came out too. He took it really well, and besides constantly asking if I found him attractive, he kept trying to set me up. Something I thought was cute at first, but now...

"Tea Jack?" Sebastian asked, giving me that damn adorable grin that I've come to love.

"Thanks Sebby. You know how I like it." I replied. By the way, my name is Jacob, but Sebastian just has to be different.

I sat there just waiting for Seb to get my order, shivering from the cold I'd just walked through.

"You okay, Jack?" Sebastian asked, a worried look on his face.

"Fine, t-thanks Seb. Got the f-f-fluuuuuu" I sneezed as I spoke.

"Still single?"

//Not one time! // I thought to myself. Not one time where I had been with Seb had he asked if I was with anyone yet?

"Yes, Sebby, I am. If I was with someone you know I'd be the first to tell you" I paused to catch my breath. "And, yes, you're cute." I answered, even before his question was asked.

Sebastian nodded over to a corner where the only other occupants of the shop, a group of guys were seated.

I sighed at what he was suggesting.

"Seb, look at me right now. My nose is red and stuffy. My eyes are bloodshot and my hair...well look at it!" I pointed to my hair, trying to be spiky but not succeeding well, as some parts were up, some flat.

Sebastian gave a quiet laugh, but still nodded over to them again. He moved in close and spoke quietly.

"One of those guys. The blond one with short blond hair keeps looking over here at YOU!"

"Seb, I'm in no mood for your jokes. Who the hell would want me? Look at me!" I shouted this time, ending my outburst with a pout.

Sebastian was beaming at this point, looking past me. I knew the blond guy must have been looking over at me for Seb to be grinning like that, so I continued to face forward.

"Sebby don't you dare!" I quickly said. Seeing the cogs in his head start spinning as he kept his gaze on the blond guy in the far corner.

Sebastian, as usual did not listen to me and walked from behind the counter I was sat at over to the corner table.

(The Table)

"Lance, stop looking at the guy, he's gonna notice!" JC said harshly, chastising Lance.

"LANCE!" It was Joey this time, trying to get Lance's attention.

Lance did turn back this time; his gaze finally leaving the jet-haired stud whom had just entered.

Justin was just grinning. They all knew Lance was gay. He had come out a few months back. But none of them had ever seen Lance act this way. Act, interested in another guy. Justin was grinning eye-to-eye like a proud father, at Lance's first step.

He's been afraid to even look at another guy since he came out. Not wanting to jeopardise the group, but even Justin had to admit the guy Lance was having such trouble taking his eyes off was cute.

"We came here for some time away from everything Lance. From work, from the fans. Just a few hours for us." JC spoke softly; trying to say sorry for his harsh tone just seconds earlier.

"Uh-hmm." Lance murmured. Barely vocal, simply nodding in agreement.

"JC!" Justin chastised himself this time. "You said it yourself. Time away. Just a few hours in our hectic lives to be ourselves." Justin gave Lance a nod indicating he could look back at the attractive guy.

Lance beamed at Justin, thanking him before turning around to pine some more over the guy of his dreams. But he quickly spun his head back around to the rest of the guys when he saw the employee at the Coffee shop coming over to them.

//Did he see me staring? He was talking to that guy, maybe they thought I was been a sick fag like Chris said when he first found out.//

It had not been as clean cut as he thought when he came out. Thinking all the guys would understand Lance came out to them all at once. Justin and Joey were both fine with it. JC, was not happy, but accepted it and thanked Lance for been honest. But Chris...Chris although saying it was fine continued to insult Lance. He wouldn't even take his shirt off around Lance anymore, which hurt Lance to no ends.

The guy coming over had a smile on his face.

//What was he gonna do?// Lance thought, cringing in fear.

"Hey guys, want anything else to drink?"

"A variety of no's were said by the guys, except for Lance who was too far into his thoughts to even hear the question.

"How about you Blondie? Maybe a cloth for the drool?" Sebastian said, struggling to hold in a fit of giggles.

Lance's eyes nearly bulged out of his head, as did everyone else at the table.

"W-W-W-What do y-you m-mean?" Lance asked, struggling to stop stuttering.

"Listen man," Sebastian started, squatting down for a few seconds. "I saw you checking out my friend Jacob over there, and believe me there's a lot to check out. Some package huh?" Sebastian asked not expecting an answer, but grinning more at Lance's, "Uh-huh!" response.

"Let me tell you something, man. He's quite available, and he's into the...well he's gay." Sebastian ended, not bothering to think up a witty way of putting it.

The other guys from the popular boyband simply listened to every word the stranger was telling Lance, wondering what Lance would do.

"W-What's he called?" Lance looked into the workers eyes, his own glassy with hope.

Sebastian grinned at his obvious victory to sell his friend, and answered.

"Jacob. His name is Jacob."
