Beyond the Closet, Part 3

"Kenny, who is this guy and why does he look like an elf?" I said to Jeremy, "Not now. Wait." He moaned and shook me, "Kenta!" I brushed him off, "Not now!" I then turned to the elf and said, "So Timothy, you've finally made contact." He said, "These have been trying times. The moment you and Heath left, all I knew changed. All living beings became visible, but I have no way to ascertain if this is what we really looked like. I also gained siblings." A female voice yelled, "Timothy! I need your help down here." He said, "Coming mother." He told us, "Duty calls. There are some spare clothes in the closet. Those clothes you have on are unfamiliar to this reality. I'll be up later." We looked back at the closet and I said, "Let's see what there is." The back started to close on the reality we just left when Brandon Collins, our school's quarterback, bolted through. The force of his entry closed the door before we could have changed out minds about helping Timothy. As soon as he crossed that barrier, he shrunk into his fairy self. He turned his head and looked at his wings and then up at us and said, "Damn! What happened?" I wish Timothy was here to help me, but here were two of my best friends and I was at a loss for words. What were the properties of this place? Wait, modernized mythology? I told them, "Try to become human." I watched the two struggle to alter their form. They shouldn't have this much difficulty. Normally it's as effortless as blinking, but now they looked like they were constipated. I said, "Stop. It's obvious you can't not in this place." What about my ability? I looked out the window and saw a tree. I said, "Brandon, get a leaf." He groaned and flew out and returned with a leaf which he gave me. I concentrated and it became covered in ice. We'll know more when Timothy comes up."

Brandon asked, "Who's Timothy?" Since this is what Jeremy asked originally and it looked like no one else would be coming through the closet. Thank goodness. I said, "A friend of mine who lives in another dimension which we are now in. However, things are different." Jeremy said, "What things?" I said, "First, this is different from the place I first met Timothy. Before it looked like my room and he was invisible. Second, I'm not Asian. Yes I know I look like one, but when I met Timothy, I was white. Heath and I were returning to our reality and we became unconscious. When I came to, he was dead, I looked like this, and I had powers." Brandon flew up to my face and said, "You kidding?" I said, "I wish I was." A couple of hours passed and Timothy finally appeared and said, "A fairy? Where did you come from?" Brandon pointed to the closet." He collapsed on the bed and moaned, "Not another one." I said, "At least there aren't going to be more. The door closed. It's time for you to explain this place."

Timothy sat down and said, "Imagine mythical races like elves living in a city like the one you came from. There are a lot of intelligent beings besides humans." Jeremy said, "Like me?" Timothy nodded, "You are an Aquarian. There are two main groups. The largest is in what you know to be the Pacific and the next largest is the Carribean." Jeremy asked, "Are there merpeople? You know half human, half fish." I used my hand to indicate my upper half and my boyfriend used his hand to indicate his lower half closing his legs together." Timothy said, "Yea. Your kind has it easier. You can walk on land. Merfolk have to send emissaries in their place, most likely an Aquarian. The air isn't a problem for them, it's the walking. I do know of a joint project to give them the ability to go on land, but that's only in preliminary stages.

Brandon began to hop up and down. It's sad you know. He's only roughly a half foot tall now and as long as he was here, he was permanently that tall. He shouted as loud as his low voice could, "What about me? Are there any fairies here?" Timothy said, "Sure there are. Of course life's difficult for them. They need very special accommodations due to their size so they pretty much live in their own colonies. Everyone else can pretty much live in the same houses with little to no difficulty. Take our neighborhood. It's pretty diverse, probably one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the city. For instance there's a centaur couple with two sons, an 18 year old stallion and 7 year old colt. I hang out with the young stallion named Lachlan. His little bro Owen's okay I guess. It's amazing you know, our neighborhood's growth cycle is at a point where there are almost all families here. There are few people living here whose children have left. As for humanity, there are two types of humans living in this world, the magical ones and the non-magical. There are two types of magical humans. One type are those that have a single ability like you Kenny and there are need to learn to do magic, but they can do lots of different types of magic."

I looked at him, the light of his desk lamp casting a shadow of his pointy ears along the wall. How long were they? I hated to ask. It's like asking a guy how endowed he is, but the need to know ate at me. I asked, "How long are your ears?" He said nonchalantly, "Five inches. Of course it depends on the person just like a human." A chill raced through me, not of my doing. It was a natural chill which would only come from dread. I said, "What if were stuck here?" Brandon flew up to me and I could feel the breeze that were being created with his wings. He said, "Don't say that. Being a fairy's cool, but I don't want to be stuck like this." Timothy remained cool and said, "Try to be calm. It doesn't do a fairy good to be worked up like that. You're liable to overwork your wings to exhaustion." The jock said, "You're right probably." He then sat of the bed. Timothy said, "Right now, I'm hungry and you guys are probably too." Now that he mentioned it, I was a bit hungry. We got up and walked downstairs. I tapped him on the shoulder, "Have you told your family about us?" He said, "Yes. I told them about the whole alternate reality thing. They believe me. Things like that are very believable."

Me and Jeremy sat down in regular chairs. Brandon had to sit on a squat plastic butter tub. While everyone ate normally, he had to eat with his hands. Timothy's father was very interested in the reality we came from. He said, "So there are no fairies, no goblins, just humans?" I said, "Just humans. Of course male students in our school have abilities. There I fire off ice shots and my two friends, Jeremy and Brandon, could become what you see." Jeremy said, "But here we can't change back because our alternate forms are familiar here." Timothy's sister looked at Brandon and giggled. He looked perturbed and asked, "So I'm a fairy, so what?" She said, "No fairy dresses like that." He scoffed, "I like these clothes. I don't want to change them." Timothy bent down and said, "If you have to stay here, you'll need more familiar clothes. All three of you will need more suitable clothes, but you Ken could get away with clothes like those.

After supper, we continued to talk. Jeremy and Brandon more since they knew more than I did regarding the world we just left. Brandon said, "It happened during assembly. This odd gas permeated the room and things got horrific. There's was this one guy named Dean, he's tailback on our team or at least he used to be. He clutched his bottom as his pants ripped. His ass was coming out. It was getting all fuzzy and a tail grew. His feet changed and he gained another set of legs. He became a centaur. His twin brother Michael became a minotaur. He was the only one we had to replace. The two were stuck like that. Me, I could control whether or not I wanted to be a fairy, but I can't go back to being human in this place." Timothy said, "You're in good hands and if your friends were here, they'd be in good hands too." Nothing else was said. We then watched TV. None of the shows that we knew existed, but the shows that did reflected this world we were now in. A few hours later, we went to sleep.

In the morning, Timothy said, "Today we are going to go shopping for clothes. I don't know how long you guys will be here, but we need to prepare for the worst." We had breakfast and headed out the door. His neighborhood looked like it could belong in our city at first glance, but a young centaur stallion came bolting out of a door across the street and a couple of houses down. He stopped in his tracks and bellowed, "Hey Timothy who're the males you have there?" The elf replied, "Friends of mine." He came up to us and looked us over. Such bizarre clothes. No fairy wears clothes like that." Timothy said, "I know Lachlan. I know. I'm off to get these guys more normal clothes." The centaur said, "You are? Can I come too?" The elf replied, "Don't you go running on Saturday morning?" Lachlan replied, "I can do that later."

The five of us journeyed to the mall. It took a couple of hours, but we arrived just in time for opening. Lachlan said, "So you guys are from Timothy's alternate universe?" I said, "We are." The stallion asked, "Any centaurs there?" Brandon said, "Only one." Lachlan asked, "Is he a stud?" I replied, "He's cute. It took him awhile to get over not wearing pants." The young centaur replied, "How can that be? Centaurs are comfortable with not wearing any clothes for our horse halves. It's part nature, part nurture." Jeremy said, "He was turned into a centaur. Remember that peculiar gas we told you about?" The centaur nodded. Brandon said, "That's what turned him into one." Lachlan said, "Poor bloke. He's fine of course?" I said, "Somewhat, but it shows when he's aroused." The centaur laughed and I couldn't blame him. He said, "That's one thing centaur males are taught prior to the onset of puberty. We are taught to focus the mind so we don't visibly show our interest in the opposite sex." Timothy jabbed with his elbow lightly and said, "or the same sex." Lachlan blushed and said, "I'm attracted to stallions. Is that a crime?" We shook our heads. So what if he fancied males. Did he have a boyfriend? The centaur said, "I sometimes fool around with another stallion named Doric."

What was it like having a centaur as a boyfriend? I gazed at his equipment and pondered. Eventually Jeremy tapped my head and said, "Kenny, are you paying attention?" I jolted out of my fantasy and I stopped looking at Lachlan's crotch. The centaur looked at me and winked. I guess he knew I was interested in his endowment.

Our first stop was a music store. There were rows and rows of compact discs. Just like everything else so far, nothing was the same, but there was a hint of familiarity. Lachlan exclaimed, "It's here! The new CD by the Soul Stallions is here. Just gotta have it." He picked it up and I looked at the cover. On it were four gorgeous centaur stallions, their human halves bearing various racial background, were arranged like an X and looking up at the camera looking down. I wasn't surprised that their human halves were of varying ethnicity. If humans can come in a variety of races, so can other species. The centaur said, "Soul Stallions is a all-centaur boy band. Want to hear their music?" We outsiders crowded around a listening terminal and listened to this band. The song was unfamiliar, but it seemed like it could have been sung by any boy band from our world." Lachlan walked up to the counter and took out money to pay for the CD.

Jeremy said, "Clothes now?" Timothy said, "Clothes now." We proceeded past the food court and entered a store that could pass for the counterpart of the GAP. Timothy said, "Oh, if only you three were the same, it'd make my elfin life so much easier. Now Kenny, I'm wearing clothes a typical elf wears. You can wear clothes like these. No problem. Some humans like to wear elfin clothes. I guess they like our styles over human ones. Elf section's over there. Jeremy, I'm afraid I can't suggest anything at this point, but the staff here know their species and could work with you. Finally you Brandon, fairies are difficult to cater too. We've been over why. Yet, I don't think you'll have a problem here. Just go and fly over there and look at the clothes. If you find something you like just get me so I can see. Then we can buy it. Don't worry about the cost. My parents understand that you only have the clothes on your back, that most likely your stuck here. Go on, have a look."

We scattered about the store and looked around. I was first to return to Timothy and once we all returned, our elfin friend paid for everything. We then returned to his house and modeled our choices to his family.

Weeks passed and we survived. Us guys would often get together and fool around. It was funny you know, we'd all be naked and Brandon would get a soaking and get covered with someone's cum. We'd have to carry him home, give him a bath, and dry his wings off. Lachlan had it easy. He was half naked already. There was no trying to dry off down there to put clothes on. He'd just help us clean ourselves. The young stallion loved it when Timothy or I got on his back where horse met human and grind our hips into him. A couple of times, he'd shoot just because of that. I was told that while centaurs have good control over their bodily functions, there are times when stuff like this happens.

There was a news report about the scientist Timothy warned us about, a scientist named Albert Dixon. Dr. Dixon was moving to the next phase in his experiment. According to his calculations, he would be able to open a window into another universe. He failed once before, but this time he would succeed. What he didn't know was that realities changes and that only those who've had contact with another universe. People like us know the truth. Everyone else is oblivious to the change. Timothy said, "We need to do something. If he activates this thing again, it could spell disaster. You three are members of another ring of universes, me and Lachlan are members of this ring. If you remain here and he activates this machine, I believe it'll be near impossible to get back to your own realities.

From that day on, we plotted to save ourselves. Lachlan said, "I think I can get us inside. My uncle works for the company that builds the machine. We can enter from a less critical area and make our way to where the experiment is being conducted. We had to act soon and as soon as we could, we set off.

Lachlan's uncle showed us inside and told us what joy it was to be working for a brilliant scientist like Dr. Dixon. Sure, brilliant. I'd rather be dumb as a rock and not harm anything. Brandon led the way flying onward and alerting us to any danger like security cameras. I then used my ice ability to freeze them so that they'd be pointed somewhere's else. For such an important experiment, security was kinda lax. We made our way to the lab and there was Dr. Dixon fiddling with the controls. He said to himself, "Can't wait any longer. I might as well have a look." I raised my hand and covered his hand in ice.

An old man looked at me. This was the brilliant scientist Dixon? He didn't look like it. He looked like he belonged in some poorly written science fiction movie. He started to walk to the alarm, but Lachlan ran at him and held him up. Thank God for centaur strength. He squirmed while the rest of us got to work. The behemoth activated and we attempted to input the necessary information. We just needed the machine to identify where we came from. Dr. Dixon then shoved his elbow into Lachlan's middle. The centaur struggled and the man rushed quite fast for being old. "I won't have you thugs screwing with my destiny!" he screamed. He then started to destroy his own machine. He said, "If I can't use it, then you won't either." The bastard! It was already activating. Jeremy tried to settle him, but it was too late. The leviathan groaned and shook. Only then did Dixon realize his mistake. He started to bolt for the door, but he never reached it. We started to run for it, but just like the so called brilliant scientist, we were enveloped in white light as the machine exploded and I descended into darkness.
