Sorry about the cliffhanger in the last part, and here's the part 4, coming out sooner than I promised it would. Thanx for support, keep it up, I appreciate it... thanx David for having me as your inspiration. You make me blush but I appreciate that too :0) Are BSB gay? Should underage ppl be reading this? Do I care if certain ppl get offended? Do vampires really exist? All this more in the next Jerry Springer show! (what's up with that show anyway, are ppl really that stupid?)
The club Midnight was wrapped in dark like the rest of the town, and from far away looked just as dead. From time to time a car would speed through the street, breaking the illusion of a ghost town, but just as the car would disappear down the street, darkness would swallow everything again. Still running, Robby could feel vampires moving carefully through the blackness and knew that they felt him too. But so far no one had made any move to get in his way. Turning the corner towards the back exit of the club, he could hear sounds of struggle, and running towards them, prayed that he wasn't too late. Recognizing Mike and Daniel by smell, Robby could also feel the man they were holding... feel his soul and the life still flowing through his veins. But there was something else about the man that Robby could not put a finger on, something almost painfully familiar... The shapes in front of him were completely recognizable by then, and he could see the man slip lifelessly to the pavement with his pale face covered in blood. Robby would have recognized that face in millions and millions of others. "Brian!!!" Only when Mike and Daniel turned towards him, did Robby realize that he had screamed Brian's name. He stood there shaking from rage, and unknown pain spreading through his body like a snake poison. Pain caused by Brian's bloodied body which lay peacefully on dirty pavement... He was too angry to feel if Brian was still alive, too angry to care what the consequences of what he was about to do will be... Feeling the pain and anger shift his face into an inhuman mask, he threw himself at two vampires. He felt no friendship towards them any more, no respect, no fear... just hate that grew as Robby swiftly slipped one of his blades into Daniel's chest. Daniel didn't scream or fight back... his face was calm while the dark eyes showed only surprise as his body slowly withered to dust. Turning to face Mike, Robby found him backing up towards the darkness of the street behind him. Mike was staring at him half angry and half frightened, his hands gripping the long hunting knife. His voice was strangled: "You just signed your own death sentence Robby... we will hunt you down and kill you. We should have done it long time ago." Then he turned around and ran until the darkness swallowed him. Robby turned towards Brian and quickly dropped to his knees. He could feel Mike near by, but he could also feel Mark, and Adam, and many more forming a circle around him that seemed to get smaller with every second. Putting his hand on Brians chest, he felt his heart beat unsteadily. Brian was alive... With rage still boiling inside of him, Robby was incapable of calming down enough to heal him. Lifting him up in his hands like a child, Robby ran out in the middle of the street, right in front of an oncoming car. The tires squeaked and the car stopped couple of inches before running over Robby and Brian both. Stepping quickly around the car, Robby smashed the back window and opened the door laying Brian down gently across the back seat. The man driving seemed in shock while staring at Robby's still twisted face. Closing the back door, Robby pulled the man out and took his seat, stepping on the gas even before closing the door. The tires left black marks behind him, while the man stood in the same spot Robby pushed him at, still in shock. Looking back at Brian's bloodied face every couple of seconds, Robby felt like screaming. He could still feel that burning pain spreading through his body... he was too late. And now Brian was hurt. The thought that he might not survive made Robby grip the wheel so hard that his fingers cracked. Brian had to survive, he had to... if Brian was dead... Robby felt something warm slide down his face. Touching it gingerly, he stared at his wet fingers in shock... he was crying. He could not remember the last time he cried, or the last time he had a reason to cry. Brians quiet moan quickly brought him back from the trance, and he stepped on the gas whispering: "Hold on... I didn't heal you so you can die on my hands..." Instead of turning towards his apartment, Robby kept driving until the tall buildings around him grew into the crumpled old apartment buildings and houses. Stopping in front of the small gray house with black shutters tightly closed, Robby carried Brian out of the car and through the back door into the house. The air inside was heavy, and thick layer of dust covered everything like a thin gray blanket. Carrying Brian through the dirty hallway covered in spider web, Robby stopped in front of the last door on the right, and kicking them open, walked in. The room seemed less dusty than the rest of the house, and the air less heavy, but equal amounts of spider web covered everything in sight. The room consisted of a queen sized bed, two closets, two night stands, writing desk and a chair, and one window with black shades pulled over it. Gently placing Brian down on the bed, Robby pulled his trench coat off and covered him. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and put his hands on Brian's chest. As his face changed back to normal, Robby felt that familiar touch of Brian's soul and then a wild river of emotions, thoughts and pain racing through Brian's unconscious body. Every single piece of strength he had, every single part of himself Robby put in healing Brian was sucked away, and when Robby finally pulled away shaking uncontrollably and breathing hard, Brian's breathing deepened and his heart started beating regularly. Collapsing on his knees next to the bed, Robby knew that he needed to get up and leave. Brian would wake up soon, and Robby couldn't risk having Brian see him and remember everything. Looking at Brian's beautiful face though, Robby couldn't will his legs to move. He didn't want to leave... he wanted to stay there forever, to spend the rest of the eternity staring at his sleeping beauty. Besides, he had nowhere to go. His apartment was off the limits and The Blood probably had already turned it upside down, in order to find some clues to where he was staying. There was no way they could find out, but if they did, Robby knew that needed to stay with Brian to protect him. Sighing, Robby slowly rose to his feet. He needed to get some food soon, and some weapons... he was aware that he had just started a war, and there was no one on his side.Opening his eyes slowly, Brian let them adjust to the weak light of the room. He had no clue where he was, but bits and pieces of the memory kept drifting through his mind and he had a hard time putting them together. The room was lighted by couple of candles on the night stand, although the cracks in shades showed that the sun was already up. His head hurt but that was about all the pain his body was in... he remembered blood running down his face before he passed out. He also remembered the club, dancing, and then leaving... then being attacked by a man... the only thing was, Brian wasn't even sure if it was a man. Trying to figure out if that was a dream or reality, he slowly sat up in the bed. Before he had the time to look around the room, a soft voice made his heart skip a beat: "Good morning Brian... how are you feeling?" Turning towards the voice, Brian felt a sudden rush in his head, like he had been forced to stand under a cold shower, and then slowly bits and pieces fell together. He could remember everything, from the moment he had been pushed from the edge of the building roof to being held by two... Brian swallowed hard hoping that he was wrong. He had to be wrong... they couldn't have been.... vampires? Robby leaned slightly in his chair, looking at Brian with concern written all over his face: "Are you OK? You do remember me don't you?" Even before Brian could register what his was saying, a name came to his lips: "Robby." Robby nodded slightly and smiled at Brian. Touching his head and a place where his hand had seemed to have been broken the night before, Brian couldn't feel any pain or any indication that he had ever been hurt at all. Looking at Robby, he wanted to ask where he was, how he got there, what happened... but he found himself incapable of saying anything. Robby was still looking at him, his blond hair falling over his shoulders and a black shirt that looked rumpled and slept in. Brian knew he had to say something, but under Robby's eyes he had a hard time forming sentences in his head: "How... What did, I mean... What happened?" "You were attacked behind the club Midnight last night." How Robby said nothing else, Brian sat up all the way facing him: "I remember that... I lost conscience. How did I get here?" Robby seemed uncomfortable answering. He studied the carpet while talking and seemed to be trying to hurry up the story: "I got you out of there... it wasn't safe around so I just brought you here." "The guys that attacked me... they were, I mean... were they?..." "Vampires? Yeah, they were." Brian's head was spinning. Vampires were fairy tales, they weren't real... they couldn't be. Yet he clearly remembered the distorted features of his attacker's face and the sharp teeth. Touching his forehead again, Brian struggled to understand: "You saved me... twice, and I saw you in my dream... Who are you?" Robby seemed even more uncomfortable and nervous, unconsciously picking at the sleeve of his shirt. His face made Brian's heart pound wildly although he couldn't understand why. Robby's voice seemed hesitant... as if he'd rather be saying anything else: "I'm... or at least, I used to be one of them." Brian stared at him as if he didn't understand a word Robby said. Giving Brian a desperate look, Robby continued quickly: "There is a part of me that's a vampire... but I'm not like them, I don't kill... I... I don't think I'm even capable of killing a human being." Giving a nervous laugh, he added: "I kind of make a really pathetic vampire." How Brian stayed serious and still didn't show that he was registering any of it, Robby continued: "When I was born as a vampire, I was given a... a gift. I can heal people... I can heal anything short of death." "Is that what you did for me? That night at the roof, and last night?" Nodding, Robby carefully watched Brian's expression. He seemed afraid of Brian's reaction to everything he was told, but why, Brian couldn't start to comprehend. Finally understanding what Robby meant by saying that he was the furthest thing from being an angel, Brian took a deep breath: "Thank you... I owe you my life." Robby seemed to relax like he was keeping his breath the entire time, and Brian smiled thinking how cute he looked nervous. Then realizing where his thoughts took him, he almost laughed out loud. He was in a strange place God knows where, having a conversation with a vampire, and all he could think about was how cute the vampire is. He didn't even realize that he was smiling until Robby asked: "What's funny?" Brian smiled at him: "I was saved by a vampire, and now I'm having a pleasant conversation with him." That made Robby grin too: "That has to feel really weird." "Oh it does... it feels really, really weird." Looking around the dusty room, Brian carefully picked up all the details about it. He was pretty sure that he was in a house, but that didn't change the fact that it could be anywhere. Trying to sound casual, he asked: "Where are we?" "130 Samoset Street, downtown." Brian just nodded... he had never heard of the street, but he knew that after passing the downtown, there was as many houses as there was buildings. It was far away from hotel at which he and guys were staying at. Suddenly he felt his chest tighten... if he was attacked, then... then guys might have been attacked too... "My friends... do you know if they're OK?" Robby nodded, and Brian found himself capable of breathing again. Robby's voice still seemed soft, and it spread comfortable warmth through Brian's body: "I though you would want to know that when you wake up." "How did you know?..." "Let's just say that healing someone has its advantages... I saw your friends through your eyes, and the hotel you were staying at... it was easy simply finding a number." Robby seemed to hesitate for a second as if he wanted to say something, but wasn't sure if he should. When he finally spoke, his voice was unusually quiet: "There was a boy... Nick? You care about him a lot... he cares about you too." Brian smiled slightly: "Yeah, I love Nicky." Robby stared at him for a second then nodded getting to his feet: "Yeah, I thought so." Brian couldn't understand why Robby all of the sudden seemed to turn cold. His eyes were hard, and his voice lost all of its softness: "I ordered some food... it's in the kitchen. Tonight I'll take you back to your friends. If you need anything, I'll be in the room across from yours." Brian just nodded trying to understand what happened. He wondered if he had offended Robby in any way, but he couldn't recall saying anything offensive. He didn't want Robby to go... he wanted to talk to him... find out more about his life. He wanted Robby's voice to caress him like it did just couple of minutes ago, although he couldn't explain why. Instead, he just sat there until Robby walked out. Once Robby left the room, Brian let himself lay back on the bed still wondering what he did wrong. Trying to cover himself little better, he realized that instead of a blanket, he had been sleeping under Robby's coat. Burying his face into it, he could smell streets and winter cold... the smell that seemed so familiar that he might have been smelling it his whole life. Curled up around the coat, Brian decided to figure out what he did to offend Robby... then to apologize.
Stepping out of the room, Robby leaned against the door and stared into the space for what seemed to be an eternity. He couldn't understand why it hurt him that Brian loved someone... it shouldn't. Brian was human, he would never fall in love with a vampire... Robby felt like screaming. It was so stupid to let himself hope even for a minute that Brian cares about him... why should he? Brian was beautiful, he was famous... he had the most caring boy in love with him, and friends who would do anything for him. Biting his lips afraid that he will start crying again, Robby crossed the hallway to his room. Closing the door behind him, he threw himself on the bed and buried his head in the pillows. He wished he never died... he wished he was never born in the first place... he wished that there wasn't so much humanity left in him that made him able to fall in love... he wished many things while letting the tears wash his face again. The whole thing was pointless. He shouldn't have brought Brian here... he should have had him taken to the hospital and left him there. Then simply forgotten he ever knew him at all. If it was only that easy. Turning to stare at the ceiling, he pictured Brian's face... beautiful blue eyes and the most incredible smile... his chest tightened painfully. Brian was in love with someone... and there was nothing Robby could do.
