BoysLife - EPISODE ONE
Jason Harmon stood in the empty room, looking at the bare white walls, the pale blue carpet, the lighthouse border running around the room. Eighteen years of his life he had lived in this room, and now he was moving out onto his own. Moving out of his parents house.
"You ready?" A voice said from behind him. Jason turned around to see his older sister Sabrina, standing in the doorway of the room, her arms folded across her chest.
"It's so weird thinking this isn't my room anymore," Jason said. "I've grown so used to it."
Sabrina stepped into the room. "I don't think I've ever seen it this clean before." Jason smiled.
"Now there's the smile I know and love," Sabrina said, giving her brother a hug. "Come on, we need to get over to Trevor's. He's probably wondering where we are."
"Okay," Jason said, following his sister out of the room.
It was easy to tell that the two were siblings. Being close in age, Sabrina being 20 and only about 2 years older than Jason, and looking almost exactly alike were the two things that gave it away. Jason had darker, auburn hair, cut short, and Sabrina had more of a strawberry blonde hair color, hers fell to about her shoulders. They both had deep brown eyes and fair skin. Both were shorter, close to 5'9" tall, and both thin.
There was one thing that set the two apart greatly, and that was the fact that Jason was gay. He had recently "come out" to his family. Sabrina and their younger brother Kevin had taken it very well. Their parents had not however. Jason told them that he was moving out, to go live with his boyfriend and two other guys. One of those guys happened to be their cousin Josh Maxwell, who had "come out" to the family about a year ago. Jason's parents still had not come to grips with Josh, and they felt their son was following his cousin down the wrong road. So Jason felt it best that he was moving out.
In fact, his parents had gone on a week-long vacation, conveniently on the week they knew their son was going to move out. That was Jason's father's doing, he was sure of that. His mother had began to come around to him, she could speak to him now without crying. That was a good thing. But Jason's father would not acknowledge him, and that troubled Jason deeply. But his parents had to understand that he was very happy with his life, and he was very much in love with his boyfriend, Trevor Keiser.
Jason followed Sabrina out to her car. Kevin was putting the last box into the backseat.
"That's all your stuff there Jay," He said. "The house is going to be so quiet without you."
"You'll get used to it," Jason said. "Besides, Mom might let you move into my bedroom now, it's the biggest one in the house."
Kevin shrugged. "Yeah, maybe."
"Come on Jason!" Sabrina said, getting into the driver's seat.
"See ya later bro," Jason said, getting into the car. "I'll call you sometime and you can come see my place."
"All right," Kevin said, shutting the door.
Jason waved as his brother turned and walked back into the house.
They drove across town to Trevor's apartment. Trevor had lived by himself in his small little apartment for a little over three years now, and he was ready for a change. He and Jason had been dating for a year, and they felt more than ready to move in together. Jason had suggested to ask his cousin Josh to move in with them, knowing that he was gay, and had lived with a straight roommate, and that situation had not really worked out. Josh was more than happy to move in with them.
As the three of them began to settle things with their new townhouse, Trevor's friend Perry Adamson got kicked out of his house. So Perry had crammed into Trevor's apartment until they could move into the townhouse. So it would be the four of them living together, an arrangement that Jason liked very much. He had hoped that perhaps Josh and Perry would get interested in each other, they were both single and would make a great couple.
Sabrina pulled up to Trevor's apartment building, and they saw Trevor and Perry sitting out on the front step. They had loaded up Perry's truck with most of their stuff, and the rest was in Trevor's car. Some boxes still were laying on the front lawn, obviously to be crammed into Sabrina's car.
"Hey there babe!" Trevor called as Jason got out of the car. The two hugged, and then Jason gave Perry a quick hug.
"Did he help you or did you have to do all the work?" Jason asked jokingly.
"No, I did it all," Perry said. "Trevor was too busy dancing around and singing 'I'm moving in with my boyfriend'!"
Jason laughed.
"Hey you guys!" Sabrina said, coming up to them, and giving Trevor and Perry hugs. "The big moving day has arrived!"
"Yeah, and it couldn't have come any sooner," Trevor said. "You think you can fit those in your car?" He pointed to the boxes on the lawn.
Sabrina shrugged. "Sure, why not?" They each grabbed a box, and stuffed them into the car. James wound up riding over in Perry's truck, but soon they were all in the new development, and the boys' new townhouse.
"Oh this is cute!" Sabrina said, walking up the walk with the guys. "You guys could have a little flowerbed over there!" She pointed to a spot near the mailbox.
"That can be your job then," Jason said. "You can be our gardener!"
"That sounds awesome," Perry put in.
"I just love you guys," Sabrina joked.
Trevor opened the front door and they all walked in. To the left was the living room, open and spacious, and to the right a staircase to go upstairs. In the center there was a hallway leading back into the house.
"I really am liking this house guys," Sabrina said. "I just might have to move in."
"Move out of Grandma's house?" Jason joked. "Yeah right!"
Sabrina had been left their father's mother's old Victorian house when she had passed away, which had happened this past year. It was a large house, and Sabrina got it all to herself.
They walked into the living room, which ran the length of the house. French doors led outside to the backyard, and an arched doorway led to the kitchen. Some of their furniture was already there, Trevor,
Perry and Josh had taken all the furniture out of Trevor's apartment the night before, and moved it in, using the U-Haul truck Josh had rented. He was bringing the rest of the furniture, along with his things, in the afternoon.
"Well, let's get to it," Trevor said. "It's going to take a while to get all this stuff inside."
Trevor staggered into the house, balancing three boxes in his arm, and carrying another with his free hand. He went into the living room, where they had been sorting everyone's things, and set the boxes on the floor.
"Jason, I think this one is yours!" Trevor called out, peering into a box full of clothes. Jason came out of the kitchen, took one look over his shoulder and grabbed the box.
"Yup, this one's mine," He said, running up the stairs.
"You guys are crazy," Sabrina said, as she came into the room carrying a lamp. "Where do you want this thing?"
"Just set it over there in the corner," Trevor said, pointing. "Your brother will figure out where it goes."
Sabrina set the lamp in the corner, and then slid onto a clear spot on the sofa. "I never knew you boys had so much stuff."
"Is our lovely lady friend complaining?" Perry asked, walking through the room, boxes piled high in his arms.
"Nah, she's just in shock," Trevor said. Sabrina picked up a pillow and threw it at him.
"Come on, there isn't too much stuff left in my car," She said, standing. "And then I can leave you guys all to yourselves."
"Sounds great," Trevor said, getting to his feet.
"Oh, you're real nice!" Sabrina said jokingly.
"Always!" Trevor said, a huge grin on his face.
They went outside, just as Josh pulled up in the big U-Haul truck. "Hey there you guys!" He said, getting out of the truck, and coming over to them at Sabrina's car. "Working hard?"
"You bet," Trevor said, giving Josh a hug. "Did you get everything moved out okay?"
Josh nodded. "My roommate was more than happy to get rid of me."
"Aww," Sabrina said, giving her cousin a hug. "Did you go to Aunt Sharon's and pick up that stuff she was giving you guys?"
"Yeah, I got it," Josh said. "It's all in the truck."
"Well, I need to get going," Sabrina said, opening up her car door. "There's not a lot left here in my car, the three of us can probably take it in."
They grabbed the last few boxes and made their way into the house. Jason and Perry were in the kitchen, drinking sodas.
"Hey Josh!" Jason said, waving his hand. Perry said hello as well.
"Well, you boys have fun," Sabrina said. "I need to get back to Kevin."
Jason stood and gave his sister a hug. "Thanks for all your help," He said.
"Hey no problem!" She said, smiling. "I'll check back in on you guys tomorrow sometime."
"See ya later Sabrina!" Trevor called as she left, waving as she shut the door behind her.
"So this is it guys," Josh said. "The four of us."
"Yippee!" Jason said, a grin on his face.
"Come on then," Trevor said. "I still don't have a bed in my room yet, I'd like to get that truck unloaded as fast as possible."
"Let's get to it then!" Perry said, standing and heading outside with the others.
It was closer to evening when they finally got everything in order, and then Josh called in an order for pizza.
They sat around in the living room, waiting for it to arrive, while Trevor hooked up Josh's big screen television and VCR.
"This feels so good," Jason said, curled up in an armchair. "Not having any parents around to pick on me for stupid things."
"And no straight roommates to point out constantly that I'm gay," Josh put in.
"Yeah, and it's good to be out of that small apartment," Perry said. "I feel like I actually have room to breathe!"
"I agree with you there brother!" Trevor said, from behind the television, where he was connecting wires.
Just then the doorbell rang, and Josh got up off the sofa to answer it. Trevor emerged from his hiding place.
"I think I'm done, somebody test it out," He said.
Perry grabbed the remote and flicked the T.V on, it came on to a music video station.
"Oh I love this song!" Jason said, singing along.
"I guess that thing works," Josh said, coming through the room with the pizza.
"Yeah," Jason said, switching it off. "This place is really starting to feel like home now."
Just then the phone rang.
"Now it really feels like home," Trevor said, picking up the phone. "Hang on a second," He held out the phone. "It's for you Jay. It's your Mom."
"Okay, I'll take it upstairs," Jason said, rushing out of the room.
"Wow," Josh said, when Trevor had hung up. "I'm surprised she called."
"Jay says she's getting better with him," Trevor said.
"Yeah," Josh said. "She actually talks to me now too."
"Parents over-react a lot of times," Perry said. "I mean, look at the way my parents acted, they threw me out."
"True," Trevor said. "Where did you guys hide the glasses?"
Perry pointed to a cabinet. "They're in that one."
Trevor opened the cabinet and pulled out a glass. Then he pored himself a glass of water. As they were eating, Jason came back into the room.
"Mom wants to say hi Josh," He said, holding out the portable phone to Josh.
Josh took the phone. "Hello? Oh hi Aunt Bonnie!" He left the room.
"She said to tell you two hello too," Jason said, grabbing a piece of pizza. "She was just checking up to see how I got moved in."
"That was nice of her," Perry said.
"Yeah, seeing as she had to go on vacation this week," Trevor said.
"She apologized for that too," Jason said. "But there's still that tension there."
"I'm sure," Perry said. "I know what you're going through. At least your parents look like they might come around. Mine are so set against me it isn't funny."
"I'm sure your parents will learn to accept you," Jason said. "They have to realize that this is their child they are dealing with, and just because he's gay doesn't mean that they have to stop loving him."
"I guess so," Perry said. "But it'll never happen."
That night, Jason lay beside Trevor in their queen size bed, staring at the ceiling.
"This feels so strange," He said. "This is our room."
"It feels kind of nice to me," Trevor said, putting his arm around Jason. "I can get used to this very fast."
"Yeah," Jason said. "Me too. But living on my own, with someone I loved has always been one of my biggest dreams." He paused. "And now it's come true. I feel so different."
Trevor rolled onto his side, facing his boyfriend. "I couldn't be happier. I'm with you."
Jason looked at him and smiled. Then they kissed, slowly, gently.
Just as the kiss intensified, and Jason had rolled on top of his boyfriend, the phone rang.
"Isn't this the way it always happens?" Jason asked, reaching over to grab the phone.
"Don't," Trevor said, grabbing Jason's arm. "Josh or Perry can get it." He pressed his lips to Jason's and they began to kiss again.
There was a knock at the door. "Jay, pick up the phone!" Josh called out.
"I told you," Jason said, reaching over and grabbing the phone.
"Jason, it's me," Sabrina said. "How are you?"
"I was in bed," Jason said. "But I am fine, how are you sister dear?"
"Oh I'm sorry!" Sabrina said. "Were you asleep?"
"No, I was..." Jason looked at Trevor and started laughing. "I was busy Sabrina. What did you want?"
"I was just checking in," She said. "To see if everything is okay."
"Yes, everything is okay," Jason said. "You were just here earlier today, what do you think could have happened since then?"
"I don't know," Sabrina said. "Jay, I..." She paused. "Mother called me today. She seems very upset about this whole thing. Dad is mad because you moved in with the guys, and she is upset because you moved away from home."
"Sabrina, they don't understand," Jason said. "This is my life, not theirs."
"But Mother is really trying Jason," Sabrina said. "She is torn between you and Dad. She loves you as her son, and him as her husband. You have to give her some time."
"I don't know what more I can do," Jason said, getting up out of the bed, and walking over to the window.
"Sabrina, Mom and Dad are the ones who drove me away from home. It was more Dad than Mom, but she did her own part of the pushing."
"Jason, some things have been very hard for her to deal with," Sabrina said. "Now that you've told everyone you are gay, she has to deal with Kevin and all of his questions."
"Oh not this again," Jason said. "I've already heard too many times from Dad how I've put the question of sexuality into Kevin's head."
"But what if you have?" Sabrina asked. "I mean, Kevin probably never would have thought about being gay until you did."
"Sabrina, he has his own mind," Jason said. "He's going to think what he wants to. Besides, if that was true, then why has this all not seemed to bother you any?"
Sabrina didn't say anything. "Jason, I'm very happy for you, and they way you've been able to deal with all of this. But sometimes I feel so much like a rag doll, tossed around in everyone's direction, and I keep falling on the ground."
"I'm sorry," Jason said. "Sabrina, you need to speak your mind with Mom and Dad. Do they know how you feel?"
She sighed. "I'm not sure. Mother and I had a long talk this evening, and I know that she is deeply concerned about you. She wants to come and see you when she gets back."
"Does she?" Jason asked, surprised. "Does Dad know about this?"
"I don't think she told him," Sabrina said. "She also mentioned Josh. She wants to mend things with him as well."
"Wow," Jason said. "I'm glad. This is a good sign then."
"Yes, it is," Sabrina said. "Jason, please remember that all of this is very difficult for her. Don't run away from her this time."
"I won't," Jason said. "And I thank you for talking to me about this."
"I love you Jay," She said. "Don't ever forget that."
Jason woke the next morning, and rolling onto his side, discovered his bed was empty. He sat up, looking around the room. It took him a moment to remember that this was his New bedroom, not the one he was used to for the past 18 years of his life.
He got out of bed, went to the big walk-in closet and rummaged through his boxes of clothes until he found what he wanted to wear. As soon as he was dressed, he went downstairs and into the kitchen, where Trevor and Josh were cooking breakfast together.
"Now this is a sight!" Jason said.
"Good morning sleepy head," Trevor said, reaching over to kiss his boyfriend quickly. "Are you hungry?"
"I am now," Jason said, taking a glass and pouring himself some orange juice. "You guys are so sweet to make us all breakfast like this."
"We had to celebrate being in our new place," Josh said. "Don't expect this to happen every day now!" He smiled, and went back to the stove, where he was frying bacon.
"Is Perry up yet?" Jason asked.
"Not yet," Trevor said. "You can go get him up if you want, since this is almost done."
"All right," Jason said, walking out of the kitchen and back up the stairs to Perry's room.
Perry was sprawled out all over his bed, boxes littering the floor, and the light still on. Jason went over to the bed and shook Perry by the shoulders.
"Come on Perry man," He said, "It's time to get up."
Perry sat up in the bed, rubbing his eyes. "Is it morning already?" He asked.
Jason nodded. "Yeah, and you won't believe what's going on downstairs. Josh and Trevor are cooking breakfast."
"Cooking?" Perry asked. "You mean that thing you do with pots and pans? On the stove?"
Jason smiled. "Yeah, so you'd better hurry up and get dressed, or they might eat it all." He left the room and returned downstairs.
When he got down to the kitchen, Josh and Trevor had set the food on the center island and had set the little table in the breakfast nook, complete with flowers and all.
"This is really nice guys," Jason said. "And it's a good thing too, I'm starving!"
Perry came into the kitchen a few moments later and they began to eat. After breakfast, Jason and Perry agreed to clear the dished, while Josh got ready to go to work, and Trevor, who had off, continued to unpack his things.
"You know," Jason said to Perry as they loaded up the dishwasher. "My cousin Josh is a pretty nice guy."
"Yeah," Perry agreed. "He seems like it. I've only met him a few times before this though."
"Well," Jason said. "I kind of had an idea." He paused, and Perry looked at him. "See, tonight I was going to do something special for Trevor here, to kind of celebrate being in the new house. I was thinking that maybe you and Josh could go out, see a movie or something."
Perry stared at Jason for a moment. "Are you trying to set me up on a date with Josh?"
Jason smiled, "Oh come on Perry, Josh is nice, funny, and he's really a hot guy. You guys will have fun together! I know you will!"
Perry put the last plate into the dishwasher and closed the door. "Well, maybe," He said. "Does Josh know about this?"
"Nope, I am about to go tell him," Jason said. "This is going to be awesome you guys!" He gave Perry a quick hug and ran upstairs to Josh's bedroom.
"So it's all set then," Jason said into the phone. "You and Perry are going to eat dinner at that nifty little Italian place called Mama Rosa's, and then you'll catch the 10 o' clock showing of 'Fear Not', that movie you both really want to see so much."
"Jason, I cannot believe I am letting you talk me into this," Josh said. "I haven't been on a date in..."
"Too long!" Jason said, cutting him off. "Come on, Perry is a sweetie, you guys are perfect for each other!"
"We'll see," Josh said with a small chuckle. "So you've still kept this all secret from Trevor?"
"Yeah, he has no idea," Jason said. "He won't know until you come home and announce it to him."
"Gee, what fun!" Josh joked. "Jason you're too much."
"That's why I'm your cousin," Jason said. "So you'll be home around five-thirty right?"
"I wouldn't be late," Josh said. "I'm beginning to look forward to this."
"Enjoy yourself," Jason said. "When you and Perry find out how perfect you are for each other, you'll be thankful that I did this to you."
"I'm sure," Josh said. "I'll see you soon Jay," He said good-bye and hung up.
Jason hung up the phone and went back into the bedroom, where most all the boxes had been unpacked. Trevor was laying on the bed, shirtless, resting peacefully. Jason sat next to him on the bed, and began rubbing his hands up and down Trevor's back.
"Oh, that feels good," Trevor said. "Don't stop."
Jason laughed. "Well, did you get everything unpacked?"
Trevor moaned something incomprehensible.
"What was that?" Jason asked, leaning closer to Trevor's face. As he did, Trevor rolled over, threw his arms around his boyfriend, kissed him full on the lips and rolled to lay on top of him.
"Wow!" Jason said as Trevor pulled up. "What an answer!"
Trevor stoked his boyfriends face. "You look so cute right now."
Jason smiled. "I'm sure." He pushed on Trevor's chest and he got up. "Let me go check out the closet." He went into the walk-in closet, where he was amazed to find everything neatly hung and folded. Since Trevor and Jason were about the same size, they shared a lot of clothes and shoes.
"Do you like it?" Trevor asked from the doorway to the closet.
"Yeah it is great!" Jason said. "I'm loving this new place more and more each moment."
"So what's going on for tonight?" Trevor asked. "You got any plans?"
Jason shrugged. "Not really, I was thinking we could hang with the guys, maybe rent a movie or something."
"Or just watch one of the thousands you have in your collection?" Trevor joked.
"Yeah, that would work," Jason said. "Why don't we wait until Josh comes home and then we'll figure it out."
"Sounds good," Trevor said, coming into the closet, and wrapping his arms around Jason. "I think I'm up for a nice hot shower, you wanna come join me?"
Jason smiled. "Why not?" The two of them kissed again, and Trevor pulled up on Jason's T-shirt. They pulled apart only long enough to get the shirt up and over Jason's head, and then began kissing again. Jason's hands caressed up and down Trevor's back, smoothing out tight muscles. Trevor moved his lips down and began kissing on Jason's neck.
"Let's go get the shower going," Jason said. Trevor stopped kissing his neck, took him by the hand, and led him into the bathroom.
Josh walked into the house, shutting the door behind him. Things seemed pretty quiet, he could barely hear the sound of the television on in the living room. Kicking off his shoes, he went into the living room, to find Perry sprawled on the sofa, sleeping, the television still on. Josh walked over and switched off the TV, and then took a moment to study Perry.
While Josh was tall and muscular, Perry was small and thin, but in a cute sort of way. Josh noticed now Perry's curly blonde hair, as a curl fell over his eyebrow. His skin was fair, and he wore contacts, usually colored ones. But of course Josh couldn't see his eyes now, they were closed and the long eyelashes hid them. He looked so cute sleeping there, Josh went over to him and brushed the lock of hair off his forehead.
Perry slowly stirred and then opened his eyes. "Oh, Josh," He said softly. "I didn't know you were home."
Josh stared into Perry's eyes, green today. They were perfectly shaped, and held his gaze, locked. Josh was surprised that he had never paid this close attention to Perry before.
Perry sat up, and Josh sat on the sofa next to him, facing him.
"I guess Jason told you about his plan for tonight," Josh said.
Perry nodded. "Yeah," He said. "It's all right with me."
"I..." Josh began. "I don't want to do this just because James asked us to," He said. "I don't want to go on this date just because we've been set up. I'd like to ask you on my own." He paused. "Perry would you like to go out with me tonight?"
Perry smiled. "Yes, that would be nice Josh."
"How about dinner at Mama Rosa's?" Josh asked. "I happen to have reservations tonight for two."
Perry laughed. "Sure, and then would you like to catch the ten o' clock showing of Fear Not? Someone gave me two tickets."
"Sounds great," Josh said, standing. "Well, I think I'm going to run upstairs and take a shower. I have a hot date tonight."
As Josh was going up the stairs, Trevor was coming down.
"Hey Trevor," Josh said. "What's up?"
"Nothing much," Trevor said. "You doing anything tonight?"
"Actually, yeah," Josh said. "I'm going out on a date. I was just going to hop in the shower."
"Cool," Trevor said. "Well, I'll let you go get ready then." He let Josh pass and continued downstairs. He met up with Perry in the kitchen.
"Did you hear that Josh has a date tonight?" Trevor asked.
"Sure," Perry asked. "I think it's awesome."
"Yeah, me too," Trevor said. "So what are you doing tonight, Perry?"
Perry cleared his throat. "Um, actually I'm going on that date with Josh."
"You two are double dating?" Trevor asked, a confused look on his face.
"No," Perry said slowly. "I'm the one he's going out with."
"Oh," Trevor said. "You're the one he's..." Then it truly hit him. "You?! You and Josh are going out on a date! Oh Perry I am so happy for you!" He gave Perry a hug. "Oh let me go tell Jason." He turned to leave the room, and saw Jason leaning against the doorframe. "Did you hear?" He asked his boyfriend.
Jason nodded, a huge smile on his face. "Yeah, I think it's cool." He took Trevor's arm. "Perry you're going to have a great time, my cousin is a great guy!"
"Thanks Jason," Perry said. "Well, I think I'll go and get dressed too. Josh is taking me to Mama Rosa's and I would like to look nice."
"Oh let me come help you pick out your outfit!" Jason said. "This is going to be so much fun!" The two of them walked out of the room together.
Later on that evening, the guys all stood in the living room. Jason had insisted in taking pictures.
Perry was wearing khaki pants, and a while polo shirt, and a navy and red sweater vest. Josh had on black corduroy pants, and a blue and white checkered button down shirt. The two of them standing together, in front of the fireplace, looked so good together, a perfect couple.
"Are we done with this yet?" Josh asked. "You know I don't like pictures!"
Jason snapped one more. "Okay, now I am done."
Josh and Perry stepped away from the fireplace. "I think we're ready then," Josh said.
Josh went to the coatrack and grabbed his leather jacket. He opened the door, and Perry walked out. Jason nudged Trevor, and the two of them followed Josh, out onto the front step.
"You guys have a good time!" Trevor called, wrapping his arms around Jason from behind him.
"We will!" Perry called, getting into Josh's car. Trevor and Jason watched as they pulled away from the curb, and off down the street. Then they went back into the house.
"I think I'll go start on our dinner now," Trevor said. "I was thinking chicken stir-fry, does that sound all right to you?"
Jason nodded. "That's a record for you babe. Cooking twice in one day. Usually I'm the one who cooks."
"Well, perhaps I am feeling different tonight, this is special," Trevor said. He walked into the kitchen, with Jason behind him.
"So how did you manage to get Perry and Josh hooked up?" Trevor asked, sitting on a stool at the center island.
"What?" Jason asked.
"Come on Jay," Trevor said. "I knew you were sneaking around today, trying to arrange things. How'd you manage it?"
"It was simple really," Jason said. "The two of them are perfect for each other, all I needed to do was spark the interest."
"Which you did quite well I see," Trevor said. "They both looked so happy, so at ease with each other, it was kind of strange for me." He got up off the stool. "I'm gonna start on dinner if you want to go set up the dining room."
Jason gave him a quick kiss. "All right then." He took dinner plates, wine glasses, and silverware into the dining room, and set the table. He had asked Josh to bring home some flowers, and he now set those in the middle of the table. He set two candlesticks with candles next to the flowers. Then he went back into the kitchen. Trevor was at the counter, cutting up something.
Jason walked up behind his boyfriend and slipped his arms around his waist. "I can't believe it, the first time you and I have this place all to ourselves."
Trevor leaned back into Jason's body, snuggling close. "Yeah, isn't it nice."
"It is," Jason agreed. He paused. "Do you think it really was such a good idea trying to hook Josh and Perry up like that?"
"What?" Trevor asked. "Moving the two of them in here with us? Sending them out on a date by themselves? Sure, I think it's great! I mean, Josh is your cousin, you're the one who thought about it in the first place."
"Yeah, but still," Jason said. "Josh is 25, and Perry just turned 19."
"So?" Trevor asked. "I'm 20 and you just turned 18."
"Yeah, but that's a better age difference," Jason said.
"You think so?" Trevor asked, turning around to face his boyfriend.
"Yes, I do," Jason said, looking into Trevor's eyes. Then the two of them kissed, long and hard.
