BOYSLIFE EPISODE ELEVEN

JOURNAL ENTRY - Sabrina

So I am dating a bisexual man whom I met only two days ago. Call me crazy if you want, I've used that word a few times in these past few days. I know it doesn't make sense. My history of relationships has been limited. I get tired of men fast, and I dont know why. I am hoping that with Alex things are going to be different. I have not told my parents that Alex is bi. At this point I dont see that it's any of their buisness. They are very anxious to meet him, and we've set up a dinner date so that the family can get together. Jason and Kevin are both coming, which makes me feel a lot more at ease about our meeting. And Alex has been wonderful. I guess it is my comfort level with gay men that makes the whole bisexuality issue easy for me to deal with. When Alex looks at me, when he touches me, I dont even think about anything else but that he is with me, and that he wants me. He says that his last relationship was with a guy, but that was over a year ago. It's different for me, talking to Alex about hot guys and having him be just as attracted to me. Jason of course is thrilled about my relationship. I think it's more due to the fact that I'm worrying more about my own relationship now than his. And now the roles are reversed. I think Jason likes that. He likes being able to push me on into my relationship, encouraging me and giving me advice. I know I'm just tossing caution to the wind, but I've never felt like this about anyone before. It just feels like Alex is so right for me. Of course I fell for him first for his amazing looks. But as I got to know him, I fell even harder for his sweet caring personality and big heart. He is funny, passionate, thoughtful and I just can't stop thinking about him. I've never been much on the thought at love at first sight, but I might be working on proving myself wrong....

Sabrina Harmon looked at her watch nervously as she paced in the front room of her house. Her brother, Jason, let out a laugh. "Girl, calm down," He said. "I'm sure your man will be here any minute." She crossed her arms over her chest, hugging herself lightly. Just then there was a knock at the door. Sabrina jumped. "That should be him now," Jason said. Sabrina went over and opened the door. Alex stood there, holding a bouquet of flowers. "Hey there beautiful," He said with a smile, leaning forward to kiss her on the cheek and handing her the flowers. "I'm so glad you're here," She said, pulling him inside and shutting the door behind him. "Hey Alex," Jason said from the doorway. "Hi there," Alex said, walking up to him and giving him a quick hug. "You had her worried there for a bit," Jason said, grinning at his sister. "No, I was not worried," Sabrina said, coming over to Alex and linking her arm in his. "I was just anxious." Alex laughed. "Ok, whatever you say." He winked at Jason. "My parents should be here in a little while," Sabrina said. "Dinner is cooking, so why don't we go into the kitchen and have a glass of wine together?" "Sounds good to me," Alex said, wrapping his arm around Sabrina's waist and walking with her into the kitchen. Jason had went in ahead of them and was now getting wine glasses out of the cabinet. "Here we go," Jason said, pulling a bottle of wine out of a small wine rack. "This should go nicely with our meal." He handed the bottle to Alex. "You can do the honors of opening it Mister," He laughed. Alex took the bottle and proceeded to open it. Then Jason poured them each a glass. "Let's do a toast," Jason said, grinning. He held up his glass. "To my sister Sabrina, who is a sexy bitch. To Alex who is hot as hell. And to tonight, we hope that everything goes smoothly." "Hear hear!" Alex said, laughing. Sabrina was blushing as she clinked her glass with her brother and Alex. She took a small sip of her wine, and then the doorbell rang. "Oh that's them!" Sabrina said. "Take this," She said, handing Jason her wine glass. She smoothed out her dress and went to the door. She opened the door to find her mother and father standing there, looking very elegant and well-to-do in their suit and long dress. "Mother you look wonderful," Sabrina said, giving her mother a hug. "Thank you darling," Mrs Harmon said as she hugged Sabrina and then came into the house. "Daddy, it's good to see you," Sabrina said, giving her father a hug. Mr Harmon returned her embrace but did not say anything. Standing sheepishly behind her father was her younger brother Kevin, looking very grown up in his shirt and tie. "Come here you!" Sabrina said, a big grin on her face. She pulled her youngest brother into her arms and held him tight. "All right, all right," Kevin said, with a small laugh. They all entered the front room, where Jason and Alex were waiting. "Mom, Dad," Sabrina said, taking Alex by the arm. "I want you to meet Alex." Mrs Harmon held out her hand, a warm smile on her face. "It is a pleasure to meet you Alex," She said, shaking his hand. "I have heard a lot of nice things about you." "I can't immagine what kinds of things Sabrina says about me," Alex said, winking over at Sabrina. As Mrs Harmon let go of Alex's hand, she flashed a quick glare at her husband. Mr Harmon stepped forward. "Alex, I'm glad to meet you finally," Mr Harmon said. "You have been making my daughter very happy." "I can only hope so sir," Alex said. He held out his hand, and Mr Harmon shook it quickly, firmly. "Well, dinner is about done, why don't we go into the dining room?" Sabrina said, waving her hand in the direction of the hallway. As Mrs Harmon passed Jason, she stopped to give him a hug and a kiss. The others filed past her. "Dad's gonna be nice tonight?" Jason asked his mother, raising an eyebrow. "I've warned him already," Mrs Harmon said. "If he acts up, he is going to have hell to deal with." Jason smiled. "I love you Mother." He took his mother's hand. "Did you notice how excited he was to see me?" "We talked about that too," Mrs Harmon said. "I think he understands how much this night means to all of us." Jason nodded. "Can you remember the last time we've all been together in one place?" "It's been a long time," Mrs Harmon said. "So let's try to enjoy ourselves." Jason and his mother went into the dining room where everyone else was already seated. Sabrina was bringing in the plates of food, and the room was soon filled with a delicious aroma. Mrs Harmon sat at the end of the table next to Mr Harmon and Jason sat across from her next to Kevin. They ate and made small talk, with Mr Harmon being unusually responsive. Once the meal was finished, Alex and Sabrina cleared the table. "So, Jason," Mr Harmon said, turning to look at his son. "How has your job been going?" Jason looked over at his mother, raising his eyebrow. Then he said to his father, "It is going rather well, thank you." Mr Harmon gave him a nod, but did not say anything else. "Kevin is going to be getting his learner's permit this week," Mrs Harmon said to Jason. "Sounds like fun," Jason said. "Man, I can remember the first time I got in the car with Mom, she nearly clawed the dashboard out." He chuckled. Kevin shrugged. "It's not a big deal." "Yeah, the third time around isn't much to worry about I suppose," Jason said, smiling at his mother. Sabrina and Alex came back in with dessert, a fresh baked apple pie. "Look what Jason made for us," Sabrina said, holding up the pie proudly. "It looks very delicious," Mrs Harmon said. "Let's hope it tastes as good," Jason said. Everyone, including Mr Harmon, laughed at his joke.

Perry Adamson sat alone on the sofa. The television was on but he was not paying attention to it. This was the first time in a while that he had been alone on the sofa by himself. Since he and Jason had started exploring their feelings for each other, they had not spent much time apart from each other. Perry was clutching a sofa pillow when Ben Trent came into the room. "Hey Perry," Ben said. "Hi Ben," Perry said softly. "What's up?" Ben asked, sitting on the sofa next to Perry. "Just thinking," Perry said. "Anything you want to talk about?" Ben asked. "It's just relationship stuff," Perry said. "Well, I might not be much help there, but I can listen," Ben said with a smile. Perry returned Ben's smile. "I know he's with his family tonight, but I want to be there with him. I miss him." Ben chuckled. "You're so cute Perry, you know that?" Perry shook his head. "I'm serious Ben. Whenever we're apart I feel like something is missing. Even when he or I are at work or something. I just don't like being apart." "Well, I don't think that's so strange," Ben said. "Maybe Jason feels the same way. Have you taked to him about it?" Perry shook his head. "Maybe you should," Ben said, patting Perry on the arm. "But in the meantime, why don't we do something?" "What did you have in mind?" Perry asked. Ben shrugged. "We could go out and get a movie or something." Perry thought about it for a minute. "Yeah, that sounds cool. Are you hungry? I haven't eaten any dinner yet." "Chineese?" Ben asked, a grin on his face. Perry laughed. "Sure." "Did someone say something about Chineese?" Josh Maxwell asked, poking his head into the room from in the kitchen. Perry laughed. "Yeah, Ben and I are gonna get some food," He paused. "Do you want something?" Josh nodded. "Sure, that sounds like a great idea." Ben got up off the sofa. "I think we still have that menu for the chineese place in the kitchen." Perry stood and followed Ben and Josh into the kitchen. They found the menu in a drawer and decided what they wanted. Ben called in the order and then he and Perry got ready to go to the video rental store and to the Chineese place to pick up the food. When they got to the video store, Perry noticed a familiar looking car in the parking lot. "I know that car," Perry said to Ben. "Who does it belong to?" Ben asked as they went inside. Perry shook his head. "I can't remember." As they were looking through the aisles of videos Ben suddenly felt Perry grab his arm. "I have to leave," Perry whispered. "What?" Ben asked. "Shhh!" Perry put his hand over Ben's mouth. "I'm just gonna go wait out in the Jeep." He looked around the store nervously and then walked out quickly. Ben gave his friend a strange look and look around the store to see what could have made Perry act strangely. There were quite a few people around, but nothing suspicious looking. Perhaps he was not feeling well. Ben shrugged to himself and went back to his browsing. When he had picked out two videos, he paid for them and went out to his Jeep, where Perry was waiting, slumped down in the seat. "What's going on?" Ben asked, throwing the bag with the videos into the backseat. "I'm sorry Ben," Perry said. "I just saw someone in there who kind of freaked me out." "Who was it?" Ben asked, starting up the Jeep. "It's no one," Perry said, shaking his head. "I shouldn't have acted so childish. I'm sorry." "All right," Ben said, backing out of the parking space. "You don't have to tell me about it if you don't want to." Perry sighed. "It might not have even been the person I thought it was." He paused. "I've had this same kind of thing happen before and it turned out to be nothing." "Well, don't let your immagination run away from you," Ben said. Perry laughed. "If only it were that easy." They got to the Chineese place and picked up their food. At the apartment Josh was waiting for them, talking on the phone while curled up on the recliner. "All right sweetie," Josh said into the phone as Ben and Perry came through the door. "The boys are back with our food now, so I'm gonna go. I will talk to you tomorrow then." He said goodbye and then hung up. "Amy said hello guys." "How's she doing?" Perry asked. "She's good I suppose," Josh said. "She and I will be working tomorrow night together." "That sounds cool," Perry said. He took the bag of Chineese food into the kitchen. Ben grabbed Josh's arm and kept him back in the living room. "Josh, Perry got freaked out at the movie store," Ben whispered. "He said he saw someone and then went out to the car and was acting all jittery on the way home." Josh nodded. "I think I know what it was." "Is everything all right?" Ben asked. "He really didn't want to talk about it." "I'll tell you later," Josh said. He went with Ben into the kitchen where Perry had set the dinner out on the bar. "I didn't want to fix your plates, so I just kind of set it out buffet style," Perry said. He looked up and saw Josh and Ben walking in together with concerned looks on their face. "Were you guys talking about me?" "Of course we were!" Ben said, giving Perry a silly grin. "We were talking about how sexy you are!" He giggled and gave Perry a kiss on the cheek. "Sure," Perry said, taking a plate and slowly scooping some food onto it.

After they had eaten, Perry went upstairs and layed on the bed he shared with Jason. He wished that Jason was with him to hold him and tell him that everything was going to be ok. He knew who he had seen. And he knew that he should not be worried about it but he could not forget what he had been through. Within the past few months Perry had been through a wild ride with his emotions. He felt like a porcelin doll at times, fragile and frail. As he layed there, holding a pillow, there was a knock at the door. "Can I come in?" Josh's voice called out. "Yeah," Perry said softly. Josh came into the room, looked at Perry on the bed, and then shut the door behind him. He sat next to Perry, and neither of them said anything for a moment. "Perry, you and I have not talked much lately," Josh said. "Yeah, I know," Perry said. "I guess things were just a little awkward." Josh nodded. "I don't want you to think I'm pushing you away," He said. "I still care about you a great deal. If Jason wasn't my cousin I might not be so comfortable with your relationship." Perry smiled. "That means a lot to me Josh." "You saw Wade tonight didn't you?" Josh asked, looking Perry in the eye. "Ben told you didn't he?" Perry asked. "He's worried too," Josh said. "But I know you a little better," He gave Perry a little grin. Perry sat up, still holding on to the pillow. "I don't know if Wade saw me or not, but I'm sure it was him." He sighed. "I wish I wasn't such a big baby." "You've been through some rough things Perry," Josh said. "I don't know what it feels like to be you, but I don't want you to be afraid of Wade or anyone else." He put his hand on Perry's arm. "I promise that I won't let anything happen to you. If that bastard even tries to hit you..." Perry laughed, cutting Josh off. "I don't plan on getting anywhere near him Josh, so I don't think we have to worry." "Just don't let him freak you out," Josh said. "He doesn't control your life." "Not anymore anyway," Perry said. Josh nodded. "Hey Josh," Perry said. "Please don't say anything to Jason about this. He'd freak out if I even walked out the door." "And who was the one freaking out tonight?" Josh asked. Perry shook his head, laughing at himself. "I was being stupid." He paused. "I just don't want to get Jason all worried for no reason." Josh sighed. "All right. I won't say anything." The two of them sat there for a moment, neither one speaking. "Thank you Josh," Perry said. "For what?" Josh asked. "For not saying anything to Jason?" "For caring about me," Perry said. "I know that I might not have been the nicest person to you." "Perry, you don't have to thank me," Josh said. "Yes I do," Perry said, putting his hand on Josh's. "I don't want to lose our friendship Josh. I don't want us to feel strange around each other." "I don't feel strange around you," Josh said. "I wonder sometimes what might have happened if things could have been different between us," Josh paused, shaking his head. "But I know that everything happens for a reason, Perry. If you and I were together now then I would not have Mark in my life." "And I would have never been able to be with Jason," Perry said. "I know things have been hard for you Perry," Josh said. "With your parents, and then being bounced around with Trevor. Even with me." He looked Perry in the eye. "But this Wade thing is not going to get you down unless you let it. You have friends here who care about you and what happens to you. All you have to do is accept our caring." Perry smiled. "You're gonna make me cry Josh," He said. "I mean it," Josh said. "Come here," He wrapped his arms around Perry and pulled him close, holding Perry's head next to his chest. They sat there for a few moments, holding each other, before Josh let go. "Now, are you going to come downstairs and watch these movies with us?" Perry laughed. "Yeah I'll come down." The two of them stood and made their way down the stairs into the living room where Ben was waiting. "I thought you'd never come down," Ben said, jumping off the sofa and picking Perry up, swinging him around in a circle. Perry laughed as Ben let him go. "I'm still gonna kill you Ben." He said with a grin.

The next morning, Perry woke up to feel Jason laying next to him. After watching the movie with the boys, Perry had come upstairs and went quickly to sleep. He had no idea when Jason had come in, but he must have been tired because even as Perry stirred and rolled over in bed, Jason did not move. Perry got up slowly and went downstairs to the kitchen. After pouring himself a glass of orange juice he went out to the back patio and sat by himself, listening to the sounds of the morning. "Hey!" A voice broke into this thoughts. Perry turned around to see Jason standing in the doorway. Perry got up off the chair and went to his boyfriend, giving him a hug. "Did I wake you?" Perry asked, coming inside and shutting the sliding door. Jason shook his head. "Alarm," He said. Perry giggled. "Oops, I guess I forgot to turn it off." Jason smile, giving Perry a peck on the cheek. "Yeah, it's ok though. I didn't want to be in bed all day." "So how was last night?" Perry asked, putting his glass in the sink. "It went well," Jason said, crouching down to get a box of cereal out of a bottom cabinet. "I am so happy that my sister has Alex now. He's great for her." "I can't wait to meet him," Perry said. "Oh I'm sure you will," Jason said, standing up with his cereal box. He took a bowl out of another cabinet and moved to the table, opening the cereal box and sitting down. "Sabrina doesn't want to be apart from him it seems." Perry laughed, getting the milk and bringing it to the table for Jason. "Thanks honey," Jason said, giving Perry a smile. "I have to go get ready for work," Perry said. "Wait for me," Jason said. "I'll only be a minute." He gave Perry a playful grin. "I can come shower with you." "That sounds nice," Perry said. He sat down with Jason as he ate. Jason ate his cereal and the two of them talked. Then they went upstairs to the bedroom, where Jason quickly pinned Perry against the wall, kissing him. "You silly," Perry said, laughing and pushing Jason away. "No, just obsessed," Jason said, coming in for another kiss. Perry ducked down and got away from Jason, running into the bathroom. Jason came in after him, grabbing him from behind, squeezing him tight. As Perry felt Jason's arms wrapped around him he suddenly felt a wave of panic come over him. He sqirmed and tried to get away, but Jason held him tighter. Perry tried to talk, to let Jason know he was uncomfortable, but words would not come. All Perry could think of was Wade. He closed his eyes, trying to clear the images out of his mind. Jason must have noticed something wrong, because he eased his grip on Perry and turned him around so they were face to face. "Perry what is it?" Jason asked. Perry opened his eyes to see Jason staring at him, a concerned look in his eye. Perry shook his head. "It was nothing. Just got a little short-winded, that's all." He tried to smile, but could tell from the look on Jason's face that he didn't buy it. "All right," Jason said. "If you say so." He sat on the edge of the tub and began to run the water for their shower. Perry slowly undressed, not saying anything. He didn't know why he was having such a reaction to the Wade situation. After seeing Wade the other night at the video store, Perry had been thinking of it more than he should. He did not want to remember what had happened, but he couldn't just forget it. He couldn't forget Wade. "Ready?" Jason asked softly, gently putting his hands on Perry's shoulders. Perry smiled at Jason in the mirror. "Yeah," He turned around and kissed Jason on the cheek and then climbed into the shower. Jason climbed in after him and pulled the curtain shut. Perry was quiet as Jason lathered their bodies with the body wash. "Are you sure everything is ok?" Jason asked. "Yes, I am fine," Perry said. "You are starting to sound like Josh." Jason laughed. "Where do you think I got my pushy-ness from?" He paused to kneel down and lather up Perry's legs. Then he stood back up. "You look like you have a lot on your mind, that's all." "Maybe I do," Perry said, leaning forward to kiss Jason softly on the lips. "But it's nothing for you to worry about." Jason sighed. "All right, I'll back off." They finished showering and then helped each other towel off. Then Perry got dressed and ready to go to work. Jason dressed in a pair of older jeans, since he did not have to be at work until later that afternoon. "I'm going to be late if I don't get going," Perry said as he came out of the bathroom, all dressed and ready. "Well, we wouldn't want that," Jason said. "You better hurry up." Perry laughed, and gave Jason a quick hug. Then he ran down the stairs, with Jason following, and grabbed his coat off the rack. "I'll see you when I get home," Jason said. "All right," Perry said, running out the door. He got in his truck and turned on the radio. He drove across town to the store where he worked, trying not to think about much of anything. But when he pulled into the parking lot, he felt a strange feeling about him. He parked in the employee area and got out, shutting the door behind him. "Perry!" A voice called out from somewhere behind him. He turned around slowly to see a figure coming towards him, waving his hand in the air. Perry felt his heart begin to beat very quickly. He could not move as the person came closer. He thought of running, but his legs felt like jelly. He looked up at Wade who was smiling and drawing closer. "Hey there," Wade said, coming up to Perry, who was now leaning back against the door of his truck. "Uh... hi," Perry stuttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to startle you last night at the video store," Wade said. Perry couldn't say anything. "It was nice to see you again," Wade said. "I couldn't stop thinking about you since I saw you last night." "Oh?" Perry asked. "How have you been doing?" Wade asked. Perry could feel his head spinning. 'Calm down,' He thought to himself. 'You can do this. It's just talking. Nothing is going to happen here on the parking lot' "I've been good," Perry said. "Jason and I are together now." "Oh really?" Wade asked, raising his eyebrows. "That's great. I'm happy for you." Perry was taken back. Wade was acting different. Something about him had changed. Perry didn't know what to think. "I really can't talk now Wade," Perry said. "I'm going to be late." "I know," Wade said, nodding. "I just wanted to come by and say hello really." "Okay," Perry said. "Well, I guess I'll see you around sometime." "Maybe I could call you," Wade said. "Or we could have lunch or something." "We'll see," Perry said. "I gotta go." He turned away from Wade and walked quickly into the store, not looking back.

Ben was just getting up the strength to get out of bed when he heard the phone ringing in the next room. He figured that one of the guys would answer it, so he simply rolled over in his bed. The ringing stopped and a moment later there was a knock at his door. "Ben are you awake?" Jason asked from outside the door. Ben rolled back over to face the door. "Yeah," He said. Jason came into the room, holding Ben's cell phone, a big grin on his face. "It's your little boy from the other night." Ben groaned. "Why did you answer it?" He whispered. "You told me to," Jason said with a smile. "And besides, you left it in the kitchen." He handed Ben the phone. "Hello?" Ben asked, trying to sound tired. "Hey Ben it's Matt," Was the reply. "Hi Matt," Ben said. "Did I wake you up?" Matt asked. "Kind of," Ben said, sitting up in the bed, glancing over at Jason, who was giggling. Jason turned and left the room. "I'm sorry," Matt said. "Do you want me to call some other time?" "No, it's ok," Ben said. "I should be getting up anyway." There was a moment of silence. "So," Matt said. "How have you been?" "Oh I've been all right," Ben said. "That's good," Matt said. "How about you?" Ben asked. "I've been okay," Matt said. "I found the note with your number and e-mail address on it." "Did ya?" Ben asked. "I left it there for you." "I must have pushed it onto the floor," Matt said. "I didn't actually find it until this morning." Ben laughed. "Well at least now you have it." "That's true," Matt said. There was another pause. "I was kind of wondering what you were doing tonight." "I don't know actually," Ben said. "Well, did you want to hang out or something?" Matt asked. "I'd like to see you." "I'll have to see," Ben said. "Why don't I call you back a little later when I figure out what is going on?" "All right," Matt said. "Let me give you my cell number." "Hold on," Ben said. He got up out of the bed and rummaged around on his desk until he found a notepad and a pencil. "I'm ready," He said. Matt gave him the number and he wrote it down. "I'll call you then," Ben said. "Okay," Matt said. "See ya'!" "'Bye," Ben said. He pressed the button on the phone to hang up. Then he threw on a pair of running pants and went downstairs. He found Jason in the kitchen, loading the dishwasher. He went up behind him and grabbed him around the neck, playfully choking him. Jason laughed and turned around, breaking Ben's grip. "How was your little boy toy?" "That's not funny," Ben said. He put his hand on Jason's bare chest, sliding his finger across Jason's nipple. "You know you're my only toy." Jason laughed and pushed Ben away. "You're crazy." "I know," Ben said, grinning. He sat on a stool as Jason finished putting the dishes in. "So what did he want?" Jason asked, giving Ben a sly look. "He wanted to hang out," Ben said, shrugging. "Ooh," Jason said, shutting the dishwasher and starting it up. "Are you gonna see him?" "Maybe," Ben said. "Depends on what I end up doing tonight." Jason rolled his eyes. "Now I know that you really are crazy." "So where's Josh this morning?" Ben asked. "Well, it's not exactly morning anymore," Jason said, pointing to the clock. "It's almost noon." Ben laughed. "And Josh is out with Mark," Jason continued. "The two of them are meeting Amy for lunch I think." "I see," Ben said, nodding. "So I guess that leaves you and I here by ourselves." "I hate to disappoint you," Jason said. "But I have laundry to do." "You're no fun," Ben said, sticking his tounge out at Jason. "Hey, you had an offer for some fun," Jason said. "I'm sure you'll figure something out." "I don't want this kid to fall too hard for me," Ben said. "I don't think he understands that I only want to fool around, that it's nothing too deep." Jason sighed and came over to sit on the stool next to Ben. "Ben, you have to be careful." "You don't have to lecture me," Ben said. "He's a kid. He'll get over it." "Don't you remember when you were his age?" Jason asked. "Yeah, that's when I started fucking," Ben said with a smile. "And I've been doing it ever since." Jason shook his head. "Not everyone feels the same way about sex as you do. You need to think a little about how this makes Matt feel." "I'm not that heartless Jay," Ben said. "It's not like the kid's never had sex before." "Just be careful Ben," Jason said. "I know," Ben said, laying his head over onto Jason's shoulder. "I know."

Amy Martin walked through the mall towards the food court where she was going to meet Josh and Mark. Even though she worked at the mall, she never found herself tired of it. Maybe it was a woman thing. Maybe it was the cool two-level food court area that was warm and cozy and just a great spot to eat and talk with friends. As she walked she spotted a familiar looking head of hair, so she went closer to see if she could get a look at the face. When she was sure she knew who it was, she walked over. "Hey girl!" She said, bumping her hip into the other girl, who was standing in line at a food vendor. Sabrina turned around and saw Amy standing there. "Hey!" She said, giving her friend a hug. "Are you working today?" "No, I have off," Amy said. "I'm meeting Josh and Mark here." "Really?" Sabrina asked. "Do you think they'd mind if we crashed the party?" "We?" Amy asked, giving Sabrina a confused look. Sabrina laughed. "Oh, I'm sorry," She turned and grabbed the arm of the guy standing next to her, who Amy had not noticed before. "This is my boyfriend Alex." Sabrina glanced up at Alex. "And this is a friend of mine, Amy Martin." Alex held out his hand. "It's good to meet you at last Amy," He said. "I've heard a little bit about you from Sabrina already." Amy blushed. "Well, I have to admit that I hadn't heard about you. It's been a little while since Sabrina and I have talked." Sabrina smiled. "Yeah, I know. Things have been crazy." "Well, listen, I am supposed to meet the boys upstairs," Amy said. "You two wanna come join us when you get your food?" Sabrina looked over at Alex, who nodded. Then she turned back to Amy. "Sure, we'll see you up there then." Amy waved as she walked off, over to the stairs. She went up slowly, scanning the crowds to see if she could spot Josh or Mark. She saw Mark first with his bright blue banks spiked up and his bright blue shirt to match. She walked quickly over to him. "Hey you," She said, coming up beside him. "Hi there Amy," Mark said. "I'm still waiting for Josh, he's not here yet." "Well, if I know Josh, he'll roll in here at the exact time he told us he'd meet us," Amy said with a smile. Mark chuckled. "You're right. He is like that." "Well, I say we go ahead and get some food," Amy said. "He'll be here any minute." Mark shrugged. "Okay." The two of them went to get in line at the places they were gonna buy food from. When they had got their food, they found each other again and looked for a table. "Look over there," Amy said, pointing. "There's our Joshie." Mark looked where she was pointing and waved. Josh waved back and came over to stand with them. "You guys ordered without me," He said in a playful whine. "You'll be all right," Amy said. She spotted Sabrina and Alex coming up the stairs. "And I think you want to look over there," She said, pointing. Josh looked and saw his cousin and her boyfriend coming towards them and grinned. "Did you arrange this?" Josh asked Amy. "No, I just bumped into them," Amy said. "Hey guys!" Sabrina said, joining the group. "You remember Alex don't you?" "How could we forget?" Josh joked. "I wouldn't want anyone to forget about me," Alex said. Everyone laughed. "Come on, let's go sit down," Amy said. The five of them found a cozy little circular booth and sat down. Josh excused himself to go and get something to eat. While he was gone, Sabrina told Amy and Mark the story of how she met Alex in the salon and how they just fell for each other. "That's a sweet story," Amy said. "I wish I could find someone like that." "It can happen," Mark said. "Look at how Josh and I found each other." "How did you guys meet?" Alex asked. "The internet actually," Mark said. Alex raised his eyebrows. "That's cool." Mark nodded. Josh came back to the table with his food. He sat down next to Mark. "Were you guys talking about me?" Mark smiled. "Of course." "He was telling us all your dark secrets," Amy said, winking at Mark. "I'm sure," Josh said. "I'm such a dark and mysterious person." "Well of course," Sabrina said. "It runs in the family." "Ooh," Alex said, leaning in to peck Sabrina on the cheek. "I love a mysterious woman." "So what did your parents think of him?" Josh asked. "They seemed to be very pleased," Sabrina said, smiling. "Don't you think so Alex?" Alex nodded. "Yeah, I seemed to pass the parent test." "That's always a good thing," Amy said. "I wish I had someone to put through the parent test." "I'll do it for you," Alex said. "Since Sabrina's parents liked me I'm sure yours will." "Excuse me?" Sabrina asked, glaring at Alex. "Thanks for the thought Alex," Amy said. "But I wouldn't want to mess with Sabrina. Especially when she's got that look on her face." They all laughed again.

Perry came home to an empty house after he got off work. There was a note from Ben on the kitchen bar. 'PERRY... SOME GUY NAMED WADE CALLED FOR YOU AND ASKED YOU TO CALL HIM WHEN YOU GET IN. HE SOUNDS KIND OF CUTE. SEE YA LATER ON TONIGHT ;-) -BEN' Perry sighed and tore up the note, throwing it into the trash. All he needed was for Josh or Jason to see that. He took the phone and went into the living room, sitting on the sofa. He didn't know why he even considered calling Wade. But something about their meeting today had made him curious. Wade had seemed rather different. He did not seem like the same guy Perry had been abused by just a few weeks ago. Could someone really change in that ammount of time? Perry dialed the number slowly. He suddenly felt nervous. Should he really be calling his ex? The one who used to hit him? What would Jason think? "Hello?" Wade's voice came over the telephone, breaking into Perry's contemplations. "Hi," Perry said. "Perry!" Wade said. "I was hoping you'd call me back!" Perry laughed nervously. "I've been working hard on changing things these past few weeks," Wade said. "I could tell," Perry said. "Could you?" Wade asked. "That makes me feel better." "What inspired the changes?" Perry asked. "You actually," Wade said. "Wade..." Perry said. "No, I'm serious," Wade said. "After things ended between you and I, it made me think harder about my life. I didn't want to hurt anyone like I hurt you. I didn't want to be so shallow." "Well, I'm glad you came to realize that," Perry said. "And I'm glad I got the chance to see you again," Wade said. "I really wanted to apologize to you. I should have never treated you the way that I did." "Well, yeah, you should have thought about it more," Perry said. "But that's in the past. I'm happy with Jason now." "I meant it when I said I was happy for you," Wade said. "I'm glad that you have someone like him to take care of you." "I'm glad too," Perry said. "So what about us?" Wade asked. "What about us?" Perry asked, confused. "Do you think you and I will be able to be friends?" Wade asked. Perry didn't know what to say. "Wade, this is all kind of a shock for me." "I know," Wade said. "Not many people expected me to change." "How am I supposed to trust you?" Perry asked. "After all that you put me through..." "I don't want anything more than friends," Wade said. "I just want a chance to prove that to you." Perry sighed. Something inside of him wanted to believe Wade. He had known Wade for a while and before the two of them had gotten together and things were not so bad. Wade was dating someone else and so he and Perry were just friends back then. Perry knew that it was possible for people to change, but it was hard to just believe Wade's change was going to be for good. "You don't have to worry about me trying to do anything to take you away from Jason," Wade said. "I know that I lost you for good when I did what I did. But I don't want to lose you as a friend." "Wade, it's going to take time for me to believe that you've really changed," Perry said. "I know that," Wade said. "All I'm asking for is a chance." Perry sighed. "I guess I do owe you that." "I don't want to hurt you," Wade said. "I already did enough of that." "I know," Perry said. "Well, let's just take things slowly, all right? I am going to need some time to get used to this new Wade." Wade laughed. "Yeah, a lot of people are telling me that." "I hope this is for good," Perry said. "I think it is," Wade said. "Well, I am gonna go now," Perry said. "I guess I'll talk to you later." "Ok," Wade said. "Please don't be a stranger. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here." "I'll remember that," Perry said. "Good," Wade said. "And once you get over your shock, maybe we'll hang out." "We'll see," Perry said.

Ben had decided to meet up with a "fuck buddy" of his named Marco and go to a movie and then head to Marco's apartment for some fun. He was downtown to the movie theater when his cell phone rang. He pulled it out and looked at who was calling. It was Matt. At first Ben did not want to answer it. He let it ring out to his voice mail. But then a moment later it rang again. Matt was calling back. Ben turned down the radio and answered. "Hello?" "Hey Ben, it's Matt," Matt said. "What's up?" Ben asked. "Nothing," Matt said. "I'm bored." Ben laughed. "Are you driving?" Matt asked. "Yeah, actually I am," Ben said. "Where are you going?" Matt asked. "I'm heading out to meet a friend to see a movie," Ben said. "That sounds fun," Matt said, a disappointed edge to his voice. "Yeah, I haven't seen him in a while," Ben said. "I thought you were gonna call me so that we could hang out," Matt said. Ben didn't want to tell Matt that he had made plans with Marco just to avoid hanging out with Matt again. And now that he thought about it, he was starting to feel guilty. "I'm sorry," Ben said. "I just haven't seen my friend in a while, so when he asked me to go see a movie, I was really excited about it." "Oh," Matt said. "But hey," Ben said, knowing he was going to regret what he was about to say. "He and I are going back to his place to fool around after the movie, maybe we could come and get you." "That would be cool," Matt said, his voice growing more excited. "All right," Ben said. "I'll call you when I get out of the movie." "Cool," Matt said. "See ya!" Ben hung up the phone and smacked himself on the forehead. He pulled into the movie theater parking garage and parked. Then he went inside to look for Marco. It wasn't hard to spot him. Marco was one of those guys who always looked like he stepped off the cover of a magazine. He had a very strong Italian influence, with his father being from Italy. His hair was dark and his skin golden-olive. His eyes were deep brown and he dressed with a European style. Ben thought that Marco had the sexiest smile. "Hey there sexy!" Ben said, giving Marco a hug. Marco returned the hug and let go, smiling up at Ben. "You always like to be the center of attention don't ya?" Marco asked. Ben looked around and saw a group of teenage girls looking at them and laughing, but he didn't care. "Yup, I love drawing a crowd." Marco laughed. "Come on, let's go get our tickets." The two of them went to get in line to buy tickets. "I have a surprise for you," Ben said as they waited. "Oh no!" Marco said, grinning. "I can only immagine what this could be." "Well," Ben started. "Do you remember me telling you about Matt?" "Your little kid?" Marco asked. "Yes," Ben said, grinning. "Don't tell me," Marco said. "He's coming with us." "Not exactly," Ben said. "We're supposed to pick him up after we get done." Marco shook his head, laughing. "You're crazy." Ben shrugged. "Hey, he's a good little kid." "We'll see about that," Marco said, moving up to the ticket window. Ben bought his ticket after Marco did, and then they went into the theater. "It's been a long time since we've had a three-some, you and I," Marco said to Ben as they sat down. "Yeah," Ben said. "I thought it might be a nice change." He patted Marco on the thigh. Marco smiled. "You never cease to amaze me." "That's what I'm good at," Ben said. They laughed about it for a while and then the movie began. Once the movie was over, Ben called Matt and arranged to pick him up. Then they would meet Marco at his apartment. Ben pulled up in front of Matt's apartment building and found Matt sitting outside on the front step waiting for him. Matt ran over to the Jeep and climbed in. "Hey," Matt said as he got in and Ben pulled away. "What's up?" Ben asked. Matt gave him a smile. "I'm glad we're getting to spend time together." Ben returned the smile. "I'm really not that special or anything." Matt laughed. "You don't give yourself enough credit." They arrived at Marco's a few minutes later. When they went up to his door and kocked, he answered wearing a burgandy silk robe with golden dragons embriordered on it. "Someone's looking sexy," Ben said, giving Marco a hug. "Only for you baby," Marco said. He noticed Matt coming in behind Ben. "And who is this fine young thing?" He winked at Ben and then held out his hand to Matt. "I'm Matt," Matt said, putting his hand in Marco's. Marco took Matt's hand and kissed it. "I'm glad to meet you." Ben noticed Matt blushing. "Come on Marco, don't scare the boy just yet." Marco laughed and let go of Matt's hand. He turned to Ben. "You want something to drink?" Ben nodded, and sat down on the sofa. Matt came and sat down next to him, laying his head on Ben's shoulder. Marco came back in with two bottles. "I'd give you one Matt, but I don't want to be accused of corrupting the young." He handed Ben the bottle. "And you don't think what we're gonna do to him later isn't gonna corrupt him?" Ben asked. "I like the sound of that," Matt said into Ben's ear, nibbling on his ear lobe. Marco came over and sat next to Matt, putting his hand on Matt's leg. "I can't wait to see what's under these clothes." Matt smiled. "You want to see?" He stood up and took off his shirt, dropping it onto the floor. Ben looked over at Marco, who was looking at Matt with his eyebrows raised. "I like this one," Marco said, standing and taking Matt's hand, leading him in the direction of the bedroom. Ben took a drink and then followed Marco and Matt.

Jason had decided to bring a pizza home for he and Perry to share. Josh was working the closing shift and was going out with Mark afterwards and Ben had still not come home when Jason had called to let Perry know he was bringing dinner. When he got home, Perry had set the table and lit candles. "This looks nice," Jason said. "Yeah, I was in the mood to be romantic," Perry said, giving Jason a quick kiss and taking the pizza box away from him. They sat down and began to eat. Perry wanted to tell Jason about Wade, but something inside just held him back. "How was your day?" Jason asked. Perry shrugged. "Oh, nothing special," He said. "We weren't too busy at work, and then I came home and finished the laundry that you started." "Yeah, I did see that you had done that," Jason said. "Thanks." "No problem," Perry said. "So did Ben go meet up with that guy?" Jason asked. "I don't know," Perry said. "When I came home he left a note saying that he was going out." "He's crazy," Jason said. Perry laughed. "That's for sure." They finished eating and cleared the table. As they finished the phone rang. Perry picked it up. "Hi Perry," It was Mrs. Harmon. "Hello Mrs. Harmon," Perry said. "Perry dear, please just call me Bonnie," Mrs Harmon said. "After all, you're just as much a part of the family now." "Thanks Bonnie," Perry said. "Can I speak to Jason?" Mrs. Harmon asked. "Sure, is everything ok?" Perry asked, noticing an edge in her voice. "There is a bit of a problem I need his help with," Mrs. Harmon answered. "All right, let me get him," Perry said. He handed the phone to Jason. "It's your mother," He said. Jason nodded and took the phone. "Mom?" He said. "Jason," Mrs. Harmon said. "I need you to come over here. We have a problem with Kevin, and I need to talk to you." "With Kevin?" Jason asked. "What's wrong?" "Do you remember me telling you my suspicious about the friend he spends so much time with?" Mrs. Harmon asked. "Yes," Jason said. "Well, I was driving home tonight and drove past Kevin giving an older man a hug in front of his house," Mrs. Harmon said. "What?" Jason asked, shocked. "Mom, are you sure it was him?" "I confronted him," Mrs. Harmon said. "And he admitted to it." "Oh Mom," Jason said. "Of course I will come over. May I bring Perry?" "That's fine," Mrs. Harmon said. "I'll be over in a few minutes then," Jason said. "How's Dad?" "He's angry," Mrs. Harmon said. "But he will get over it." "I love you Mom," Jason said. "I'll be there soon." "Thank you Jay," Mrs. Harmon said. Jason hung up and went out to the kitchen where Perry was. "We have to go over to my Mother's house," Jason said. "Why?" Perry asked. "What's going on?" Jason sighed. "I think my little brother is gay."
