Jay sat down at his cubicle, and reviewed his ongoing projects very quickly. He was a legal assistant at a mid sized law firm, and there was always something to do. Jay didn't mind: the salary was good, there was always overtime if he wanted it, and most of the people were friendly. He would have liked more "eye candy," but there was enough. Jay was a firm believer in "not shitting where you eat," so a walk around the office every now and then to check out his favorites: the sexy daddy Al, the geeky Vince, hunky Andrew, another sexy daddy, Peter, and of course, his favorite, nature boy Brice, was enough.
Jay smiled when he thought about Brice. A closet case, if there ever were one. Jay laughed to himself about the time Brice and a few friends had walked into the gay bar where Jay was cruising. He didn't remember who saw who first, but Brice was out of the bar faster than you could say "homo."
Still, Brice was high on Jay's list of men he'd like to enslave. He wasn't as sexy or geeky or hunky as Jay's other favorites, but he had all of those qualities. He didn't spend much on clothes, but he dressed in suits and ties like the other lawyers. Sometimes he cheated by wearing a tight pair of corduroys, and that was fine with Jay. Brice's apparel was always close fitting, and since he didn't wear an undershirt, the hair on his chest (lots of it), and his perky nipples were always visible. Jay had spent a fair amount of fantasy time, thinking about clamping those nips. Yes, if he could fuck only one person at the office, it would be Brice.
As Jay turned to his first project, his phone rang. He saw that the call was from Mel Miller, the chairman of the firm. That was odd: Miller was a delegator, and spent nearly all of his time talking to clients and the other attorneys. In his 8 months at the firm, Jay had never received a singled project directly from Miller, and their discussions, while pleasant, had always been very short and to the point.
"Good morning Mr. Miller. How can I be of help?"
"Jay, please call me Mel. I've told you that before. I need to have a chat with you."
A chat. What could that mean? Jay had no idea.
"Of course sir. " Jay couldn't do it. He couldn't call the big boss by his first name. And while Jay was used to the one being called "Sir," he could use it if he needed to. Jay continued "Shall I check with your secretary for when you're available?"
"No Jay. Now. Please come to my office now." Miller hung up the phone and Jay gulped. He looked around, grabbed a pad and a ball point and did a quick check to make sure he hadn't spilled coffee on his tie that morning. He wished he had worn a more conservative color than his pink shirt, but it was too late.
Jay made his way to Miller's office. It was odd that Audrey, who had been Miller's secretary for nearly 40 years, wasn't at her desk. It was even odder that Miller's door was open. Jay knocked anyway. "Sir, you wanted to see me?" Miller looked up from some papers. "Yes, Jay, come in. Please close the door and have a seat."
As Jay sat across from the chairman, Miller began. "Jay, I will get right to the point. Every attorney here thinks you may be the best paralegal they've ever worked with." Jay began to say thank you, but Miller stopped him. "That is one fot eh reasons that this is so hard to do." He paused. "Jay, there have been complaints of a personal nature made about you. They've been insistent and, unfortunately, for the good of the firm, I must terminate you , effective immediately."
Jay was stunned. Complaints of a personal nature? He was completely at a loss. What had he done? Had he dominated a partner's son without knowing it? He had no idea what this was about.
Miller continued. "This is a very awkward situation, because there is, in fact, no evidence to support the complaints. Nonetheless, the atmosphere has been somewhat tense." He paused again. "I've taken the liberty of sending your resume' to several colleagues, and I'm certain by the time you get back to your desk, at least one will have called you. And I inflated your salary when I spoke to them, because..." and he smiled "We underpay you here."
"But Sir, I like it here, and the salary hasn't been an issue for me. " There was silence between the two men, which Jay broke. "I can't apologize for what I've done, because I don't know what that is. At the risk of being forward, Sir, could you give me more information."
The question made Miller visibly uncomfortable. "Yes, yes. I owe you that. But this is between us."
"Agreed Sir" was Jay's response.
"Look. Everyone knows Brice is a horny bastard. We've lost 3 very fine secretaries because of his advances. Now, he's insisting that you've been making passes at him, following him into the restroom to stare at his, ahem, privates, sending him anonymous obscene messages, and so on."
Jay felt his jaw drop. "Mr Miller, I don't know what to say. Brice is an attractive man -- at least to me -- but Sir, I know my place."
"Yes, Jay, I know. To be honest, we've hired other gay men here, and without question, you've been the most, how do I put it, `professional?' I believe none of what Brice has told me. But his work is very good, and very specialized. He's involved in some important projects, and it's important to the firm, to keep him happy."
Now, Jay was angry "But a paralegal is expendible. I get it, Mr Miller. No, Sir, please don't tell me to use your first name. I don't work here anymore. I'll be gone in less than an hour."
Jay left Miller's office, visibly upset, and headed back to his cubicle. One thought went through his head. "Brice. That closet case BASTARD. "
As he got back to his cubicle, Jay had phone messages. Yes, Miller had kept his word, and there were calls from 3 law firms asking if he would interview with them. Jay returned each call, set up appointments, and then began packing up what few items he kept at the office. He was looking down, and didn't realize Brice had come by his cubicle, and was standing there.
"Hey, what's going on. Did someone steal you from us." Jay looked up to see Brice in his tight white oxford, cheap tie, and cheaper pants. A bastard, but a hot one. Jay noticed that Brice was doing what several of the secretaries had said was a standard move on his part: he had his hands in his pants pockets and, because the pants were so tight, you could see his cock outlined.
"That's one way to look at it Brice. But look at the positive side. Maybe they'll hire a natural red head to replace me. A female one. To make up for that secretary who left."
Brice laughed. "I should be so lucky. Anyway, look, I don't know what happened, but please take my card. Let's get a drink or something."
"Let's get a drink or something. " That's when Jay realized hey, if I don't work here anymore, all of these guys are now fair game. And Brice may very well be the easiest prey he'd hunted, in a long, long time.
"I'd like that Brice." Jay smiled and offered his hand. "Take care of yourself, and lobby for a red head. " Jay's mind got to work. "Fair game now. Patience and planning. "
