I hope no one finds this change a distraction. Again, this story involves Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys. Well! this story is not meant to imply anything about the sexualities of any of its characters. That said, here we go........Enjoy!..........
Brian and Keith (part 2)
Brian awoke the next morning with a very bad headache. The alarm clock next to his bed said that it was 8:00 A.M. He was disgusted with the thought of getting up so early. He definately had a hangover this morning. He was rubbing his head when he heard someone breathing on the floor. He looked over and saw a stranger sleeping next to his bed. He looked at this man and could not for the life of his figure out what this stranger was doing on the floor of his hotel room.
Brian laid back on his bed and tried to think about last night. A second later he was no longer in the dark about last night's events. He remembered having sex with this stranger and renting him for the week. But one thing he could not remember was this stranger's name. He replayed all of the events of last night step by step but could not remember this person's name. Then it dawned on him that he neither asked nor was told this stranger's name. The more he thought about it, the stronger his headache got. So, he finally stopped thinking and eventually drifted off to sleep.
An hour later the phone rang quite abrubtly as it always seems ot do early in the morning. Brian jerked up in the bed and cursed out the phone.
"Yeah!" he sighed as he put the receiver to his head.
"Hey Bri, this is Kev. We are all gathered here and are waiting on you and Keith for breakfast," Kevin said.
A bell of realization went off in Brian's head as he realized that the stranger's name is Keith.
He must have been thinking for a while because Kevin said,"Bri did you hear what I just said?"
"Yes, Kevin, give us a couple of minutes and we'll be there. I just have to wake Keith up," Brian replied.
"Okay," Kevin said and hung up the phone.
By now Keith started to wake up from his restful sleep. He yawned and reaised his arms over his head and stretched a bit.
"Good Morning Keith," Brian said.
"Good Morning Mr. Littrell," Keith replied.
"That's Brian," Brian replied to Keith.
"Okay," Keith said with a huge smile on his face. 'YESSSSSS' he thought, I get to call my knight by his first name. He felt like he had died and gone to heaven.
Brian noticed that unless he forced Keith to go to breakfast, Keith would not make it. He wanted Keith there so that the guys would not hassle him about last night. He needed some time to think, and as long as Keith was there, no one would say anything.
"Oh no you don't, the guys are holding breakfast for us," Brian said to Keith as he was about to go back to sleep.
"Oh! okay," Keith replied with a sense of hesitation in his voice. He was thinking about how he is going to face the others after what happenned last night. He had never had to face his tricks the morning after, much less the friends of his tricks. He quickly corrected himself by calling Brian his knight rather than an ordinary trick. 'Yeah right' he thought, wishful thinking while he wiped a tear from his eye and at the same time smiling widely.
"What are you thinking?" Brian asked looking at Keith with suspicion.
"Nothing," he replied snapping out of his thinking mode.
"Okay, then we better get going befor Kevin comes banging on the door," Brian said as he got up from the bed.
Keith sat there with his mouth open staring at Brian's body. Last night he did not really notice how beautiful Brian really is. He started getting thoughts in his mind about how to please Brian, but then quickly realized that he had quite a workout last night as he rubbed his sore ass. 'A small price to pay to be with my idol,' he thought to himself. Brian walked in the bathroom with some clothes and shut the door behind him. He walked back out in about five minutes fully dressed and noticed that Keith was still sitting in his bed.
"Earth to Keith!" Brian said as he waved his hand from left to right in front of Keith's face. Keith quickly snapped out of his daze and felt the color rising in his cheeks. He looked away from Brian and cencentrated looking downwards for a while. Brian noticed this and smiled to himself.
"Well! are you going to get dressed or are you giving the guys a freebee," Brian said as he sat down on his bed.
Keith snapped his head and looked at Brian. He looked like someone had slapped him. He could not believe that Brian had made that comment. Brian saw the expression on Keith's face and wished that he could take back what he said. He just spoke without thinking. He made a mental note to himself that he would have to think before he spoke next time.
Keith got up and stretched a little with his back turned towards Brian. He stretched because he wanted his hands in a position where he could wipe away the tears that were forming in his eyes without Brian noticing. Brian's last comment made him snap back into realty. As he streched, he felt a pain in his ass. He panicked and started rubbing his ass cheeks involuntarily.
"Are you sore?" Brian asked with a soothing tone in his voice as he got up to go to the mirror to brush his hair.
"A little, last night you were on virgin soil," Keith replied quite abrubtly trying not to give away his emotions in his voice.
Keith heard something drop and make a terrible sound. He quickly turned around and saw Brian standing there with a shocked expresssion and his eyes bugging out of his sockets. He saw that Brian's hand was still in the air as if frozen while in mid stroke and the hairbrush lying upside down on top of the dressing table. Keith did not say anything and Brian was too shocked to speak. Keith walked into the bathroom with his clothes and shut the door.
Brian felt disgusted with himself about his actions last night and this morning. He could not believe what Keith had just told him. He started feeling real guilty about the way he took Keith's virginity. He did not believe that anyone deserved to be introduced to sex in that manner. He made a silent promise to himself that he would try to apologize to Keith and try to be a friend to him till he had to leave. He shook his head in disbelief over the news that was kind of dropped on him.
Five minutes later Keith walked out dressed and looking refreshed. No one would have guessed that he spent that entire time in the bathroom crying his eyes out. He decided that he would just live out his fantasy for the remainder of the week and just have fun without becoming too involved.
"Ready?" Brian asked as he stood from the chair he was sitting in while waiting for Keith.
"Yup," Keith answered in a churpy voice trying to disguise his emotions.
They walked out of the room and headed towards Kevin's room. They saw the door open and heard the guys talking amongst themselves. Suddenly a silent hush fell over the room as they entered.
"Good Morning everyone," Brian spoke first as he headed towards the food.
"Morning," everyone replied simultaneously.
Everyone looked at Keith who be now had grabbed a chair to sit down to relieve some of the pain he was feeling. He flinched slightly as he sat down.
"You okay Keith," Kevin said.
"Yes, good morning," Keith answered again in a chirpy voice to hide his true feelings.
Nick put down his plate and walked over to sid down next to Keith. He looked towards the floor while twidling his thumbs in his lap. Keith looked at him and couldn't figure out what Nick was doing.
"Yes!" Keith said trying to get Nick to say something.
"I...umm...I wanted to apologize for the things I said to you last night," Nick blurted out in one breath.
"Apology accepted," Keith smiled and looked at Nick.
Nick smiled back and gave Keith a warm hug. Brian noticed this as he turned around with two plates filled with food. He stood at the table for a few minutes so that Nick could finish. Nick sensed this and ended his hug and got up to return to his original seat to finish eating. Brian walked over and sat in the chair that was just occupied by Nick. He handed one plate to Keith and just smiled as he started to eat his own food.
"Thank you," Keith said.
"Mention not," Brian replied with that killer smile of his.
Everyone ate in silence till they could not eat anymore. Keith and Brian kept looking at each other and smiling between each bite that they took. Kevin noticed this and suddenly felt very uneasy. He realized that Keith was starting to have feelings for Brian and was going to end up getting hurt in the end. 'With all the things that he went through, he does not need this added to the list,' Kevin thought.
"What's the schedule for today Kev," Howie asked bringing Kevin out of his trance.
Everyone perked up to listen to Kevin's answer. They all wanted to know how the situation with Brian and Keith is going to play out, but no one wanted to adress the issue directly.
"Well, manangement called this morning to say that we have the day off today, but I was thinking that we would go out to dinner together as a group," Kevin replied looking directly at Keith. "Brian, we need to talk in private as soon as possible," he added while getting up and stretching.
"Okay, lets go to my room then," Brian replied as Kevin followed him out of the door.
Brian and Kevin walked into Brian's room and closed the door behind them. Kevin started to tell Brian everything that went on yesterday. Brian sat there with his mouth open and a shocked expression on his face. He could not believe what he was listening to. It sounded like a tv movie miniseries that someone would watch when totally bored. Kevin finished the story and sat down next to Brian. He noticed that Brian had tears running down his cheeks. Kevin wrapped his arms around Brian and just held him for a couple of minutes. He started to worry again, that Brian now started having feelings for Keith.
Brian got himself together and wiped his face with his hands. He grabbed some water and took a couple of sips to wet his throat that seemed to go dry.
"Now, I really feel bad," Brian sighed as he slumped again.
"Why?" Kevin questions with curiosity written all over his face.
"Well! it would take too much time to explain and I really want to talk to Keith now," Brian replied as he got up and started to head for the door. He did not want to tell Kevin about the bomb that was dropped on him this morning and the things he said to Keith.
"So, what are you going to do now?" Kevin asked as he raised his eyebrows.
"I am going to show Keith the best week that I can manage and maybe more," Brian said aloud as to convince himself more than to answer Kevin's question.
"What?" Kevin screamed, "you are actually going to continue this relationship till Sunday?"
"Yes Kevin," Brian said in a soothing tone to calm Kevin down and to keep from loosing his own temper. He could not believe Kevin was acting this way about his arrangement with Keith.
"That's messed up Bri," Kevin screamed as he left the room to return to his own room. He stormed into his room to find the rest of the guys talking and laughing and generally having a good time.
"How can you guys fool around when you know that this should not be happenning!" Kevin said pointing to Keith as Brian walked into the room after Kevin.
"It's none of your business," Brian replied looking straight at Keith.
That got Keith very uncomfortable. He did not want to cause any tensions between the guys. He shifted in his seat and started to get up. A.J. stopped Keith by putting a hand on his shoulder and pushed him back gently into his seat.
"Bri is right Kev, it is their personal matter and we should not interfere," A.J. said looking directly at Kevin.
"But, this effects the group also," Kevin shouted back.
"Actually it does not, they can do whatever they want as long as Brian keeps all his appointments and group meetings," Nick said.
"Maybe its best that I do leave. I do not want to be responsible for any fights," Keith said as a tear rolled down his cheeks.
"No!" Brian screamed and scared everyone in the room.
"Fine, do what you guys want, but remember come Sunday, it will be much harder for both of you say goodbye," Kevin said.
"Okay, now that's settled, what are we going to do today," Howie spoke up to change the subject.
"As I said before, we have the day off, but I would still like to go to dinner together," Kevin replied.
"Okay, then lets all get ready and go out somewhere," A.J. suggested.
They all got up and returned to their rooms. Brian and Keith got up slowly and did not know how to react towards each other. Kevin looked at them curiously at they walked out of his room together. They went into Brian's room and just sat on the bed for a couple of minutes.
"I am going to take a shower first, then you can take one, okay," Brian said.
Keith just nodded his agreement as he got up to pick up his bed from the floor. He stood there looking at his clothes and noticed how worn they were looking. They needed a good pressing to bring them back to life. As Keith was contemplating this, he heard a knock on the door.
"Keith," A.J. said from the other side of the door.
"Hi A.J., Brian is in the shower right now," Keith said as he opened the door. He noticed that A.J. had clothes in his hand. He came in and laid them on the bed.
"These are some clothes for today, until we swing by your apartment to pick some up," A.J. said turning around.
"Thanks, that was very thoughtful of you, sure you don't mind," Keith replied.
"Nah, just remember that I am not taking them back with stains on them, if you know what I mean," A.J. said coyly with a smile on his face.
Keith started to blush and laughed at his comment. He suddenly felt very comfortable around A.J. "You!" Keith exclaimed as he playfully punched A.J.'s upper arm.
"Hey, I guess I deserved that, so go and get ready and hurry," A.J. said laughing out loud as he left the room.
Brian came out and went directly to his closet. He was very quiet and it seemed that he was lost in deep thought. Keith sensed this and decided not to say anything to him. He got up and headed to the bathroom. He came out ten minutes later to notice that Brian was sitting at the dressing table brushing his hair. Keith just shrugged to himself and started to get ready. He could feel the tension in the air. Soon Keith was dressed and looked up to find Brian looking at him in the mirror. Quickly Brian looked down and continued brushing his hair.
'How am I going to let Keith know that I know his story and how am I going to live down the stupid comments that I made to him this morning and how am I going to ever apologize to him for the way I had sex with him.' These thoughts kept going through Brian's head over and over. He had to finally shake his head to get back to the present. He decided that today he will find some time just for himself and Keith to talk and get everything out in the open.
"Ready?" A.J. yelled as he banged on the door.
Brian got up and opened the door and just smiled at A.J. A.J. walked in and saw Keith sitting on the bed. Keith looked up and smiled at A.J.
"Nice clothes Keith," A.J. said laughing out loud. Keith and Brian also joined in the laughter which seemed to lighten the mood. Brian now sat next to Keith and smiled broadly.
"Yah, nice," Brian said to Keith as he pointed to the clothes.
Keith stopped laughing and got up to get his sneakers. As he was putting them on, he heard all the other guys walking towards Brian's room.
"Are we going, or has the party started already," Nick shouted from the hallway.
"Yah, we're coming," Brian replied.
Brian, Keith and A.J. walked out of the room to find the rest of the guys waiting next to the elevator. There was still some tension between everyone and Keith picked up on it and felt bad to be the cause of it. He looked down and frowned a bit. Kevin caught the frown and made a mental note to apologize to Keith when he had a chance. They all got on the elevator and A.J. started humming. Soon, everyone was humming and by the time the elevator reached the lobby, all the guys were in a light, hearty mood.
"Lets go have some fun," A.J. said almost shouting when the doors of the elevator opened.
Kevin walked up to the front desk and asked for a limo. The attendant immediately recognized the guys and went off to set up the limo arrangements.
"He said that it will be five minutes," Kevin said to the group pointing towards the attendant.
Everyone nodded and hung out in the lobby looking around. This was the first day off that they got since they arrived. Keith was sitting on the couch looking through a magazine. Brian came up and sat down next to him. He was just happy sitting there next to Keith while waiting for the limo.
"The limo's here," Nick said as it pulled up to the front entrance.
The guys all got up and headed for the limo. Once safely inside, A.J. and Brian reshuffled the sitting arrangement so that Keith was sitting next to Brian. Keith did notice this but decided not to say anything. He just smiled to himself.
"Okay, now that everyone is comfortable, where do we go first," Nick said looking at the group.
"How about we go to my apartment so that I can pack some clothes and then we will have the rest of the day to do whatever," Keith said.
"Good idea, go ahead and tell the driver the directions," Kevin replied.
Everyone sat back and relaxed once the limo was off to Keith's apartment. Keith was looking out the window while the guys talked among themselves. He was thinking about what had happenned to him since last night. He had met his idol and fell in love all in a span of 12 hours. Now, he will be spending almost a week with his knight. His smile turned into a frown as he realized that his dream will have to come to an end on Sunday. He made himself promise not to think about it till that time comes. He was brought out of his trance when he saw his apartment building in front of him.
"Okay, we're here," he said to everyone as they stopped talking and looked over to see the building.
They all got out of the limo and followed Keith into the lobby of the building. By their expressions, one could gather that they were impressed with the decor in front of them.
"Wow, how did you ever end up here with your occupation," Brian blurted out before thinking about what he said. He winced as soon as he realized what he had said. He had promised himself tht he whould not say anything about Keith's life choice, but agian his mouth did not confer with his brain before speaking.
Keith stopped dead in his tracks after hearing Brian's comment. He was again brought back to reality by something that Brian had said about him. He quickly regained his composure and continued to walk towards the elevators. Everyone followed him while giving deadly stares towards Brian. They all got on an elevator and Keith pushed the number 10 for his floor.
"Keith, I'm sorry about that comment, I should not have said that," Brian apologized with sincerity while still looking down towards the floor.
"That's okay, I have the same thought once in a while," Keith replied with a smile. He looked down and let a tear escape from his eyes. Brian looked up and caught that just in time. He felt even worse now. He knew that he had to find a way to make this up to Keith.
The elevator stopped and the doors opened. Keith got out first and led the guys to apartment number 1005. He reached in his pocket and took out his keys. He opened the door and walked right in. The guys followed him in and were quite taken back with the decor. There were pieces of art hanging in almost every corner of the common rooms. They weren't overdone but just right to be pleasing to the eye.
"Well! come on into the sitting room and make yourselves comfrotable," Keith said pointing to the room across from them.
They all walked into the room and sat down on the comfortable couches. Keith went into the kitchen and poured orange juice in juice glasses for the guys. "Sorry, thats all I have at the moment," he said as he brought in the tray and set it down on the coffee table.
"No problem," Nick said as he reached for a glass.
"Okay, I'm going to go and get my things together," Keith said as he got up and walked towards his bedroom.
"Need some help?" A.J. asked with a smile.
"Sure!" Keith said with excitment as A.J. followed him.
A.J. entered Keith's bedroom behind him. He was really impressed with how the room was done. It was all decorated in a soothing light blue color with white drapes and furniture. The main attraction was the four-post bed with bed curtains hanging from the top. The bed was a true replica of an antique bed that would have easily been found in an english castle in the days forgotten.
"Wow!" A.J. exclaimed as he pointed to the bed.
"Yeah, that's one of my passions," Keith replied.
Keith got out a suitcase to start packing. It was one of those pieces that are used as carry-on pieces aboard an airplane. He set it on the bed and started laying clothes in it. A.J. helped in folding the clothes and doing whatever Keith asked of him.
"You know Brian did not mean anything by that comment that he made. He just doesn't think sometimes and wrong stuff comes out of his mouth," A.J. said looking up at Keith.
"I know that and I didn't take it as anything, but sometimes it just hurts coming from someone you love," Keith said. He put his hand over his mouth as soon as he realized what he said. He looked at A.J. with tears in his eyes to see A.J. sitting there smiling like there was no tomorrow.
"I'm glad to hear that," A.J. said to him.
"Thanks," was all that Keith could say before Keith headed to the bathroom to collect his toiletries and to change into some of his own clothes. A.J. headed back out to join the guys. He informed the rest of them that Keith will be done in a few minutes.
"Wow, you guys should see the bed he has in there. It is just wonderful, Keith has wonderful taste," A.J. said sitting down grabbing his glass of orange juice.
"He sure does," Kevin agreed as he pointed to the artwork hanging throughout the apartment. Keith had collected a lot of artwork from all the places that he had lived at. His collection was truly unique.
They were all admiring the apartment when Keith came out of his room rolling his suitcase behind him. "I'll be ready to go in about two minutes," he said as he looked at everyone. They all nodded and told him to take his time. He put the tray of glasses in the kitchen sink and noticed that his message light was flashing on his answering machine. He pressed the playback button as he started cleaning the glasses. 'Keith, you need to call me right away, it is extremely important and urgent,' a female voice said on the machine.
"My sister, Carol," Keith said looking at the worried expressions on the guys faces. He grabbed the phone and dialed the number quickly.
"Maybe we should give Keith some privacy," Kevin said pointing to the door and getting up.
"No, thats okay, please sit down," Keith replied.
"Hello," Keith said into the phone as he walked into his bedroom. He stayed in his room for a good five minutes. He walked back out with tears streaming down his face.
"What's wrong?" Brian asked as he got up to hand Keith a tissue. Keith took it and wiped his tears away, but soon they were replaced by fresh ones. He just sat down on a chair and started sobbing. Everyone looked at each other and then at Keith and then at each other again. They seemed to be frozen in their spots. "What's wrong?" Brian asked agian with concern in his voice.
"My mother died yesterday night," Keith blurted out as he cried even harder.
"Oh my God!" Kevin said.
"How?" Nick asked looking at Keith.
"A heart attack," Keith said as he seemed to calm down for the moment. He got up and drank a glass of water to calm himself down.
"So, when do you leave for the funeral?" A.J. asked as he wiped a tear from his eyes.
"I don't," Keith replied.
"What?" all five guys screamed at the same time.
"My father does not want me to be there. He says that it will be an insult to my mother's memory for me to be present," Keith said as he started crying again.
"I can't beleive it, if family does not come together at times like these, then when else," Howie said angrily.
"Can't your sister and brother talk to your father," Brian asked looking at Keith.
"No, my sister said that she cannot deal with that issue right now. She gave me all the details for the funeral, but she also suggested that I not attend since everyone will be present and she does not want to deal with a scene," Keith replied.
"What scene? Dammit, it's your mother's funeral," Brian screamed.
"Well! I think I agree with her, the best thing to do is let my mother's memory rest in peace with dignity," Keith said while drinking another glass of water. "I'm going to wash up and then we can be on our way," he added as he got up and headed towards the bathroom. He came out after five minutes and grabbed his suitcase. A.J. quickly stood up and grabbed the suitcase from Keith and then everyone headed out of the apartment. Keith grabbed the tissue box on his way out the door. He had a feeling that he definately would be needing those especially for the next couple of days.
The whole day the guys tried to keep Keith's mind off the sad news. It worked great for a little while. Then Keith would suddenly have a flashback about his mother and then the tears would flow again. He would not sob but the tears just kept coming. Everyone was deeply concerned about him, but they also knew that he had to grieve in his own way. They spent the whole day roaming the mall and just cruising in the limo. Finally, it got to be around dinner time. Everyone was starving because they had not eaten lunch. They decided to return to the hotel and eat in the restaurant adjoining the lobby. No one felt much like going out tonight.
They got to the hotel and went up to their rooms to freshen up. Brian and Keith had not spoken directly to each other the whole day. Brian was really upset that Keith ws not attending the funeral. But, then he realized that Keith was doing what he saw as the best solution for all concerned. The first thing that Keith did was pick up the phone and dial his sister. He knew that his whole family would be there and he wanted to speak to his brother.
"Hello," Keith said into the phone.
"Keith, this is Brad," his brother said into the phone.
Then Keith started crying again as he talked to his brother. They talked, cried, and laughed as they remembered their mother. Keith informed his brother that he would not be attending the funeral because he did not want to be responsible for a scene. They talked to each other for about twenty minutes before Keith hung up. As he turned around, he noticed all the guys waiting on him to go to dinner.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I lost all track of time," Keith said as he quickly glanced at the clock.
"No prob," Kevin said.
"Well! I'm hungry, shall we head on down to the restaurant?" Keith asked as he got up and headed to the bathroom to wash his face.
"Okay, lets go people," Howie said, when Keith returned to the room, as he left the room followed by the rest to them.
They all went down to the restaurant where the waiter seated them immediately. They looked at the menu and decided what to eat. The waiter returned with their soft drinks and took their order for the main course, which arrived in about thirty minutes. By now, Keith was exhaused both physically and emotionally, but he was also starving. They all ate in silence with the occasional comment about the day's acitvities. Keith was the only one that did not order any dessert. He ordered a hot cup of tea to get rid of the headache that was starting to form. By the time the meal was over, everyone could hardly keep their eyelids open.
Everyone got on an elevator and headed to their rooms. Once in the hallway, A.J. came up and hugged Keith. Keith let some tears escape, but controlled himself from sobbing. Then Kevin, Howie and Nick followed A.J's lead and wished him a restful night. Pretty soon, only Keith and Brian were left in the hallway. Brain opened the door to his room and let Keith go in first. They still had to speak to each other directly and this seemed as good a time as any.
"Look Keith, I do not agree that you are not going to be attending your mother's funeral but I can also see your point of view," Brian said as he sat directly across Keith and looked in his eyes.
"Thank you for understanding, but I don't think my father needs to deal with me at a time like this," Keith replied looking down with tears falling from his eyes. He layed down in the bed and soon was fast asleep with tears drying on his face. Brian got in bed next to him and soon was also fast asleep. It had been an exhausting day for both of them.
to be continued...............sorry about the lack of sex in this story, but there will be plenty of time for all that, and as they say, good things come to those who wait. sorry for taking so long to post this part of the story, but this part was an emotional challenge for me. other chapters will be done in a more timely fashion.
