Caiden and I Part Five

When I opened the door it was kind of a bittersweet feeling.Tara was standing there beaming at me. I was so happy to see her but then at the same time I was disappointed that it wasn't Caiden and I felt guilty for making-out with Caiden (even if Tara and I were not actually in a relationship).

When I realized that I had just opened the door and I was now just standing there starring at her I sobered up and finally spoke.

"Hey babe."

"Hi baby, I hope im not too early I really missed you." And she placed her hands on my hips and pulled me into her for a kiss, the kiss was soft, slow and tender. I found myself comparing it to the kiss that I just had with Caiden and I realized just how different Caiden and Tara were. I loved them both and wanted them both, but I didn't know when I would be ready to admit that I was still in love with Caiden, and always would be.

I invited Tara inside not entirely sure if I was really up to talking to her about what happened last night.

I guess she sensed that I wasn't in a good mood.

"What's wrong you seem really tense." She asked

"Nothing.. don't worry about it. So what did you want to talk about?"

Tara walked inside and sat on the couch.

"Frosted Flakes, huh?" she said with a smile motioning to the cereal on the coffee table.

I sat down next to her and waited for her to start the conversation because I wasn't entirely sure how to. After a while I realized that Tara was waiting for me to say something and I just said the first thing that I could thing of.

"I don't regret what happened between the two of us last night Tara." I could tell that this was what she wanted to hear so I continued.

"I had no Idea that you felt that way about me, but im glad that you took steps to show me."

"Im glad I did too Krisy."

"So what happens now?" I asked her.

" I don't know, are we a couple now?" I wasn't expecting her to go that far that quickly and I didn't really thing that far ahead so I didn't have an answer for her but I knew that she needed one, so I dug a little deeper trying to gather if that was what she wanted.

"I don't know, I haven't had time to think about it, have you?"

"I thought about it after you left last night, I really like you Krystal I have liked you for a really long time and after what happened last night I realizing that you could feel the same way I feel about you, I kind of wanted to see where it could go."

"So you mean that you want us to be a couple?" I asked this knowing what her answer would be but I just wanted to hear her say it, after the fight I just had with Caiden I needed to be loved by someone that I could love back without prejudice.

"Yeah I would like for us to try it, But if you don't want that I understand, I know that your going through a lot with Caiden right now and that I sprung this on you without warning, so if you want to just remain friends or if you want to take it slow then I completely understand and I respect that."

She said all of that so convincingly and I wanted to be with her and wanted her to call me her own and vice versa, but then I got stuck thinking about Caiden. Could Caiden and I ever workout could we be together, I know that she loves me now, I know all of that now, but do I still love her the same way I used to, will I ever be able to get over the things that she said to me. All of these questions were running through my head as Tara sat there waiting for my answer.

"Tara I want to be with you, I want to try and make this work between you and I, I don't really know how to start and I don't know if I can make you any promises, but I do know that I have feelings for you."

After I said this, her face lit up and she jumped on me pinning me to the couch giving me a huge bear hug.

Tara and I then decide to consummate or relationship, and we started to kiss and explore each others body, things were really heating up when my cell phone started ringing in my pocket at first I wanted to ignore it but it just kept ringing so I took the phone out and put it on the coffee table and returned to get what I so desperately needed.Tara.

But Goddamnit the phone just kept on ringing, so Tara, getting frustrated by the interruptions decided that she would just answer it. She picked up the phone without looking at the display and answered it giggling and out of breath.

"What the hell do you want Krystal is busy."

I had to smile because she was so cute when she said that.

She closed the phone and put it back on the table.

"Who was it?" I asked curiously.

"No one was there I answered and I heard breathing then they hung up."

Obviously I knew who it was. I had had just about enough by this, and I knew that Caiden knew that Tara was going to be at my house by this so it just goes to show how childish she is for calling to try to butt in.

"Listen babe can we continue this a little later I just remembered that there are some stuff that my mom wanted me to go pick up for her so can I call you later and we can pick up where we left off?"

"Aww, are you serious you have to go do this right now?"

"Yeah my mom needs all the photocopies done for tonight. Its for a charity thing she's doing."

It amazes me so much how great of a liar I am, at the tender age of 14 I had mastered the art of deception and I could come up with a perfectly plausible lie on the spot, with back- stories and references.

"Okay okay fine, call me when you're done though you can come over my mom and dad are out and my sister is at her Boyfriends."

"Alright that sounds like I plan."

I said my goodbye and gave Tara one final kiss and she left to go home. I waited until she was safely off my street before I raced down the sidewalk to Caiden's house to give her the cussing out of her life.

By the time I got to Caiden's street I realized that her moms car was still in the drive way and I shuttered at the thought of her mother over hearing this conversation which was most definitely going to take place whether Caiden wanted to have it or not. I wasn't planning on putting up with Caiden's Bullshit for a moment longer and if I want things to move forward with Tara I knew that I would have to take care of all of this here and now.

I had a feeling that Caiden's mom would be in the study working which was in the front of the house so I decided to go around back and go through the kitchen (Caiden's Mom always leaves the kitchen screen door open so I knew that I would be able to get in and up to Caiden's room without her Mom hearing me). I really didn't want to have to deal with Caiden's mom asking me what was wrong with Caiden.

I went thought the kitchen door and made my way up the back stairs to Caiden's room. Before I knocked on the door I could hear sobs behind the door, and even though I fought it I became concerned.was she serious about all the things that she had said? Did I hurt her? Was she crying over me? All these questions raced through my mind and I rested on the conclusion that I had indeed caused her to cry and that in a way I was just as responsible for the disaster that our relationship had become.

I hesitated at first but then I finally built up the courage to knock on her door. I knocked once and then twice. I knocked a third time and Caiden still didn't come to the door. I figured that she thought that it was her mother knocking at the door and she just didn't want to deal with her interrogation. So I let myself in.

I was definitely not prepared for the scene that was laid out in front of me.

Caiden was sitting in the centre of her room, razor in hand and blood all over her sweater and floor.

Caiden looked up and saw me standing there but at the same time she didn't.she was staring right at me but almost through me there was nothing in her eyes.nothing behind them. I was panicking, that's and understatement I was freaking out, I rushed over and I try to take the razor out of her hand but every time I swatted at it my hand went right through as if I were a ghost, and then I realized what was wrong. I had in fact been standing there rooted to the position I was in. I was only panicking inwardly and the more I tried to help her the deeper I crawled into my state of panic.

By the time I had snapped to, Caiden had cut herself three more times and I finally got up the will to yang my feet from there rooted position rush over and swat the Razor out of her hand. There was so much blood; I could no longer make out where the cuts were I could only see the blood.

Caiden was in a trance she didn't even realize I was there, I was shaking her profusely and calling out her name but she couldn't hear me. I realized that I would have to do this on my own, and using all the strength I could muster I pulled Caiden up off the floor and pulled her into the bathroom to try to clean the cuts up as best as I could.

When I got into the Bathroom I ravaged the medicine cabinet looking for something to clean the cuts with when I found the Neosporin and some gauze I turned my attention back to Caiden and her blood soaked arm. In the harsh light of the bathroom I was able to finally make out where the cuts were and slight sense of relief rush over me as I saw that it wasn't as bad as I had thought it was, she had only cut herself four times and not deep enough to strike any veins, there was just a lot of blood. Luckily I had gotten there soon enough other wise in the state that she was in I was sure that she would have cut herself until there was nothing left of her veins.

"Caiden, baby this is going to hurt.try not to move." She didn't respond.

I took a washcloth from one of the cupboards wet it with some warm water and tried to clean up as much of the excess blood before applying the Neosporin. After I was satisfied with the job I had done, I applied the ointment and the gauze.

"I'm so sorry. so sorry for everything. you deserve so much better," Caiden was now staring directly at me as she said this, her eyes once again welding up with tears.

She was so vulnerable I had never seen her so unguarded, all I wanted to do was wrap my arms around her and keep her safe. all the feelings of hate had completely evaporated and now all that was left was worry and love.

"I promise that I'll never leave you, I love you so much Caiden, I know that you didn't mean all the things that you said, I never want to lose you. not like that."

I sat there for what seemed like hours with Caiden in my arms, I didn't want to let her go, I wanted her to know that I loved her and that she meant the world to me, and the only way that I knew how to show her this at this point was just to hold her as close to me as possible for as long as it took.

After a while I felt Caiden stir in my arms and I looked down to see if she was awake, our eyes met and I could see the helplessness that had now taken over her.she needed me and I needed her.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"I don't know." her answer was shaky and childlike.

"do you want me to take you to your bed?"

".yes please"

I stood up and placed hands under her armpits and gently helped her up, her legs were a little weak and she was dizzy from the slight blood lost so I had to then wrap my arms around her waits as I guided her to her bed.

I remembered the last time my mom went to go donate blood and I went with her, afterwards the nurses told her that she should drink a lot of juice and eat from candy because she would be dehydrated and her blood sugar level would be low. So I figured that Caiden would need some Juice and cookies or something.

"Baby im going to run downstairs to get you some juice and candy, for your blood sugar.in no time you'll feel better.okay?"

"Okay."

I left the room and on my way out I reassured her that I would be right back.

When I got downstairs Caiden's Mom was in the Kitchen getting ready to start Dinner.

"Hey miss McBraten, what's up?" I asked in the best cheerful tone I could muster.

"Krystal how many times do I have to tell you to call me Nancy, I swear I've known you since you were six, and you would think that you would have caught on by now."

"Okay Okay 'NANCY', what's for dinner?" Im a bit of a bottomless pit and Nancy knew that whenever I was over she would have to make a ridiculous amount of food because Caiden was as well.

"I just figured I would Make some Taco's."

"Sounds good to me and im sure that Caiden's up for some."

As soon as I mentioned Caiden's name Nancy's head shot up from the fridge, it was like she was waiting for me to say her name so that she would have licence to ask the question she was about to ask.

"About Caiden Kris. is she okay, I heard her crying all night when she got back from the party and then this mourning when I went to check in on her she wasn't in her room.I didn't even know that she had come back into the house."

"She fine now Nanc, its just that her and what's his face, Glen, got into a pretty big fight last night and.well. they sort of broke-up, she found out that he was cheating on her."

This seemed to answer all of Nancy's follow-up questions even before she could ask them, so she just smiled.

"I never liked that boy in the first place I always told Caiden that he was up to no good behind her back." She said returning to the fridge to rummage through the contents for the ingredients she needed.

" I know just want you mean Nanc. Well im just gonna grab some snacks, Caiden and I are watching a movie in her room.call us when the grub's ready."

With that I sped off up the stairs Snacks in tow and relief on my mind. At the same time I felt kind of guilty I just totally lied to Caiden's and accused Glen of being a cheating bastard. oh well im almost sure that he was anyways even though I had no proof at all, such is life.

Well guys we have reached the conclusion of yet another instalment and you'll just have to wait to see what happens next, I know I'm cruel.but if I put everything up at once then there would be no anticipation for what happens next. As per usual comments and questions of all kinds are welcome.
