Cards in the Deck - Adam and Ben 26
The Last Brevard
On this particular day, I was in a rush from the moment I got up. I had a management meeting scheduled with the team at Brevard Packaging. The morale had taken another dive as people, especially in a community like this, are resistant and untrusting of change. This was not an insurmountable problem. There was lunch with Julie and Kevin, our Mayor at the pub, and I would need to advise Quinn of the upcoming task he was about to embark on, which he was currently unaware of.
With things moving along so comfortably, I had attempted to assert my ability to drive again but Quinn and Kent would have none of it. Frankly, I think they were the ones enjoying the ambiance and mystery of being drivers, especially to someone perceivingly important, on the move. And that Cadillac CT6 did have a nice backseat, with computer hook up - laughing out loud.
Kevin and Julia, over lunch, were very impressed at the progress Quinn was making with the estate. They were particularly interested in the buyers from Louisiana who would be taking control of the plant. I advised them that the Brevard Foundation would be remaining in the corporate offices of Brevard Industries as that property did not sell in this transaction. That is the last mark of the Brevard's and it would outlive all of us.
Kent drove me home in the afternoon and although it was a cool Friday, the warm sun made things feel happy, snug. We had our Friday night dinner early now that Friday night football was on the agenda. Kent was attending these dinners regularly and I was so happy to see him comfortable in my house after all those years.
Over conversation, I told Quinn I had another plan for him and he would be taking a week off, the first week of November. He looked inquisitive and pensive.
"Quinn, I am sending you out into the world to find my next residence. You will be meeting with one of Christie's estate agents who markets properties nationally. It won't be Jane but he or she will be very interesting."
"What do you mean, find your next residence?" asked Quinn.
"Well, I sign the sale papers for the house in a few weeks and I need a place to live. This is the only place I have ever lived. I need an objective view as to the possibilities and you have proven your ability with the estate."
He looked more upset than I thought. I believed this to be an exciting chapter. Before I could ask about his feelings, he threw his napkin down and looked at me, "You know that's a pretty shitty thing to do to me. Send me off to find your next house while I get left behind here in this stinkhole of a town, with no job and no life! What am I supposed to do? Move in with Kent! Move back in with my mother while you run off into the sunset? Hell no, you go..."
"Whoa, whoa," I said holding up my hands attempting to stop the stampede. He just about had tears in his eyes and I understood. He was quite tired from his ongoing estate work and had not gotten the proper message. My usage of `me and I' had set him off.
"Quinn, you don't honestly believe I was going to leave you here did you? You couldn't possibly think I was going to use you to sell off all my stuff then run out. Quinn, you are going with me." I got up and walked over to his chair and knelt down beside him. "Let me be clear, you said the finish line, remember? You would carry me across the finish line. Well the finish line is the new front door and I have no idea where to begin on that." I paused to let him catch up. When that grin appeared on his face, I knew he was on the page with me. "Besides, Quinn, if I choose it and I buy it, it will never be our home. It will be MY home and I want it to be OUR home. You get me?"
Kent broke up our tender moment and said, "damn boy you will never get a better deal than that. Get your ass up and go find this amazing place! And it better be damn nice too!" adding a little humor to the moment.
Quinn started to laugh. "I'm sorry Ben, I don't know why I flew off like that. I already knew I was not going to let you leave me here. And sorry Kent, moving in with you wouldn't be terrible but I would have to kill your mojo!"
"Yeah," said Kent, "No, you ain't taking over my digs. I found me a place on the lake and it's going to be nice."
"What? You haven't told me you found a new place," I chided.
"Well it will need just a bit of work that I can do myself but I got a good price. Dock needs repair and the landscaping needs some help but here is the house," and he showed us his phone. The house was perfect, one story with garage, big great room and kitchen, two large bedrooms and dual boat slip. Looked perfect for Kent. With his handyman skills, he will have that place ready for Architectural Digest in one year's time. And I was glad he was moving off the estate. He had used it as a safety blanket for far too many years. Time for him to settle down.
Quinn brought us back in focus, "Anything I should know about what you want, Ben?"
"Well, bring me some choices. Just please leave the North out of it and I don't want to go to Florida. Please, no Florida. Other than that, a condo on top of a tall building like Erin, a sprawling place in the country, an inner city loft. You go look. It will be a jet set week as you will fly around."
"Oh my God, it is going to be so awesome. Thank you for letting me do this. I will get `er done!"
"I know you will."
So it was decided, Quinn would head out in two weeks and check out several properties
We got our coats and headed to the football game. The parking lot was packed. Kent dropped Quinn and I off and went off to park the car. He was going to hang out with some old friends during the game anyway. Once we got through the gates, it looked like a Christmas parade. Kids were dressed in Tigers wear with face paintings. Cheerleaders were out in the common ground giving cheers. The marching band was playing charge themes. The vendors had hot dogs, popcorn, and candy being distributed. It was turning into something big. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned and found Jack Haig and a couple of his friends standing behind us.
"Hey Jack! How are you buddy?"
"All good, all good. Just hanging out with my friends!" He looked at his group and said, "Hey guys, this is Ben Brevard and Quinn Collins. I had dinner at their house the other week," he said, nodding his approval to himself. It was funny how a few weeks ago, Quinn and I were just a couple of gay guys. Now, we are status symbols. Quinn was grinning as I believed he had picked up on the same thing. Jack's friends look dumb struck.
"Yep Jack, that was an awesome day. Quinn and I are going to take off. Don't get into any trouble tonight, got it?"
"Yes sir," he responded.
"Remember, Jack!" I shouted before he got out of ear shot, "there is always a witness!" I saw him laugh and he gave me a thumbs up.
Quinn said, "Did you see the look on those guy's faces? They could not believe Jack was humming with a pair of gay guys!"
"No, no, Quinn, they could not believe Jack knew a couple of celebrities. I"m rich remember? You, and Adam and that other guy all looked just like that that night I pulled up to the Tastee Freeze in the Rolls. Deer in the headlights, is what I'm saying." I used my fingers to spread my eyes wide and mimic the look. Quinn cracked up.
He tried to drill me on the types of places to look at during the game and I would give no indication. "Just go look," I said. "You know me as well as anyone. Use your best judgement. Don't waste a lot of time at some far fetched place."
Tigers finished the first half up by 12 points. Quinn and I had worked our way down the front row and gave Coach Richardson a wave. He ran over to us and he had many demands on him at the moment.
"Ben, so glad to see you here. Listen, I'm going to need you back here the first Friday of November. The football charity league, you know. We want to make some presentations and, well, you know we still consider you our Chair."
"Sure, no problem," I said. "That's the last game Coach. You ready for what's to come?"
He came over to me and, making sure no one would hear him except Quinn and myself, pulled me down close to him and said, "I am taking these goddamn boys to State this year, Ben Brevard. Mark my words." Quinn grinned so big at the coach.
"Get er done, Coach. Get er done!" Quinn shouted at him as he walked away. Coach gave us a thumbs up as he headed back to the team. The halftime show was just about over and the marching band was in its prime.
After running into half the packaging plant employees, and Foundation staff, and having good chats and laughs with them, we returned to the game and enjoyed yet another victory.
Utterly exhausted, I was when we got home. Quinn was beaming around the house. He found his second wind during the game victory lap. Something told me he would have loved to have been on that team this year. I opened my laptop and found an email from Becky. Ryan was ecstatic about the opportunity to come to Alabama and spend a weekend with us. It was confirmed that Brandon and Karen were too tied up and would wait until Christmas. So let me give you a heads up - on that weekend, we would have the final Tigers game - win or lose, Ryan would be visiting, and on Sunday, Quinn would be heading out into the world to find a new place for us to live. What a weekend that would be. I hope you all are on pins and needles because I don't know if I can do that weekend justice.
I had to calm Quinn down. I heard him turn the tv on in the family room so he could watch the highlights from the game and hear the commentary. I had a snap idea. I dropped all of my clothes in the study, down to pure nakedness. Gave myself the mental image of Quinn fucking me laid back across this desk, which he had never done by the way, and got myself a nice full erection. I sauntered into the family room and he looked at me like I had lost my mind.
"Let me give my football hero some highlights," I said sexy-like.
I edged over to him and he grabbed my hard cock and started to suck on my cock. I pushed him off of me and raised him off the couch. I undressed him completely. I went into worship mode and kissed him, licked his neck, sucked his nipples. I continued south until his beautiful cock presented itself. He was hard. I took him in my mouth and almost got him off, I sucked so hard. Then, while I was kissing him and stroking him, he almost came again but I deterred. Then I let him take me. And he took me from behind, and in front. On the sofa cushion then on the arm of the sofa. He was about to cum and I made him pull out. I laid down on the sofa and let him fall in behind me. His breathing had started to calm. Then I arched my posterior into his cock and let him enter me again. Then, in a fury, he pushed the coffee table out of the way and dropped me to the floor. Putting me in full missionary position, he took me harder than he had in a long time. When he pulled out, just in the nick of time, he flooded my body with his heart and soul..and his cum.
I told you all I wasn't going to get into all that anymore, but, we are having such a good time, I want you to enjoy it as well.
"Hey Quinn," I asked him as we lay on the floor basking in our incredible orgasms, "you going to tell about these cum stains on the appraisal skype call? What's Jane going to say?" I was laughing so hard at the imagery. He looked shocked and distressed.
"Holy shit," he said. "We gotta get this cleaned up!" He hopped up and ran to the kitchen to get a towel. Forget the fact I was glazed. His concern was clearly the carpet. It was Asian silk and dyed in 4 colors. It was appraised at around $26,000, after all!
