A BAD DAY BY DONAL/GOLD

It had been almost 6 months since Sally and Beth started going together. So far, it was a wonderful time in their lives; no arguments, no fighting (except with her sister as usual) and making love on a regular basis. It seemed like she and Beth were made for each other. With the exception of the one time that the boys jumped her outside of school and almost raped her (If it hadn't been for Beth, she would have been raped) it had been a great 5 and a half months.

About 2 weeks ago, Beth had told her that she had a Martial Arts Tournament coming up in a couple of weeks, and that she had to practice for it. Beth had been busy every night for the last week and really didn't have too much time for Sally. Even though she had been over Beth's watching her every night, she started feeling neglected. She didn't know why because she knew that Beth loved her unconditionally and would do anything for her. Every time that she left Beth's house, she felt more and more neglected but didn't know what to do about it. Maybe they were too comfortable around each other and took each other for granted. Sally pushed those thoughts out of her head as she got to Beth's.

She usually just opened the door and came in but this time she knocked on the door first. As the door opened, she noticed that Beth's mom had answered the door. "Hey Sally, come on in. You know where Beth is, she's downstairs practicing again. She really wants to win her class again."

"I know she does Mrs. Wilson but its Friday night and I thought that we were going to go out and see a movie." Sally said dejectedly.

Beth's mom heard the tone in Sally's voice and knew what she was going through. Her daughter had been practicing day and night when she wasn't studying for school and really hadn't been paying too much attention to Sally lately. She watched as Sally went downstairs slowly.

As Sally went downstairs, she could hear Beth practicing. As she walked into the room, she saw Beth hitting the big bag with her legs. She was really pounding the bag too because it was swinging back and forth. Sally sat down and watched Beth for a few moments until she took a short break. Beth came over to Sally, smiled and gave her a small peck on the cheek. Sally gave her a halfhearted smile and little peck back.

"Sally, what's wrong, sweetheart?" Beth asked with some concern in her voice.

"Weren't we supposed to go out to a movie tonight?"

"I'm sorry Sally but I can't. You know that I have this tournament coming up next weekend and that I need to win. Maybe after all this is over I can make it up to you."

Sally just looked at Beth, sighed, and walked over to her. "Do me a favor Beth, when you get done practicing for the tournament, call me, but not before. " She said with a little hostility in her voice. With that, she walked out of the room, went upstairs and walked out of the house slamming the door behind her.

Beth was stunned. Sally had never talked to her that way; she could tell that Sally was mad at her. Didn't she realize what this tournament meant to her? She was standing there still looking at the spot where Sally had been and felt the tears come to her eyes.

Beth's mother had been in the kitchen when Sally walked out slamming the door. She immediately went downstairs to find Beth slumped down on the floor crying. She went over to her daughter, gathered her up in her arms and just held her. "What happened honey? I heard Sally leave but she didn't stop and say anything to me."

"Oh mom, Sally walked out mad at me because I was practicing. I thought she knew how important this tournament was to me." She kept on crying.

As Beth's mom continued to hold her and stroke her back comforting her, she just sighed. "Honey, in any relationship there has to be some give and take. Sally knows about your tournament and how important it is to you, but you also have to realize that you're also in a relationship with someone. You have to consider them when something like this comes up. You've been practicing so hard for this that you've actually placed Sally second and she feels neglected."

"But mom, I still love her so much that it hurts. I know that I've been practicing real hard but I felt that when it was all over, Sally and I could go out and celebrate our 6 months together. Now it looks as if we may not even make it that far." Beth started crying again and her mother held her even tighter.

"I think what you need to do honey, is to either call Sally or go over to her house and have a long talk with her. You two need to start talking again and straighten things out with each other."

"But what if she doesn't want to see or talk to me ever again, mom? Then what am I going to do?" She looked up at her mother with her red eyes.

"Honey, Sally still loves you but right now she feels that she's secondary to your martial arts. I know and you know, that's not true and I think she knows it too but up here (her mother was pointing to her head) she feels that you've abandoned her. Please wait till tomorrow and call her. More than likely, she's home right now talking with her mom about what happened tonight. Okay?"

"Okay mom. I will call her tomorrow. I just hope I haven't blown it with her"

"Why don't you go up, take a shower and try to get some sleep." Her mother said as she stroked her hair.

"Thanks mom, I think I will. I love you." Beth said sniffing.

"I love you too sweetheart."

When Sally stormed out of Beth's house, she went straight home. She was so mad, that she didn't realize that she had gotten home sooner than she anticipated. As she walked in the doorway, she absentmindedly closed the door a little louder than necessary and it alarmed her mother who came out of the kitchen at that moment.

Sally's mother took one look at her and knew instantly what was wrong. Sally took a look at her mother and just broke down crying.

"Sweetheart, what happened? Aren't you supposed to be out with Beth tonight?"

"Don't even mention her name to me." Sally yelled at her mom, and then started crying harder.

Her mother came over to her and took her in her arms and just held her. The last time she had seen Sally like this, is when she came out and some of her friends turned their backs on her. As she held Sally, she started stroking her back telling her everything would be okay. It was about this time that Stephanie walked in with Lisa in tow. When Sally saw how happy she was with Lisa, she just cried harder. Her mother glanced over at Stephanie giving her a look that said she would talk to her later. Both she and Lisa went up to her room with worried looks on their faces.

"Are you ready to tell me what happened sweetheart?" Her mother asked

"Mom, when I got to Beth's house, sniff, she was downstairs practicing her martial arts for the tournament. She totally forgot that we were supposed to go to the movies tonight." Sally looked at her with red eyes.

"Then what happened sweetheart?"

"She looked at me and said to me, "You know that I have this tournament coming up next weekend and that I need to win it." She also said that she would make it up to me mom, but I just don't believe her. What am I going to do? I still love her very much." Sally started crying even harder.

Sally's mother just sighed, held her tighter and stroked her hair trying to calm her down. "Honey, you have to realize that this is really the first relationship that you two have ever been in. In any relationship there has to be some sort of compromising. I know you still love Beth and that she still loves you. She just doesn't have the experience of "juggling," for want of a better word, her personal relationship with you and the other needs in her life. I think what the two of you need to do, is to sit down and talk to each other. I'm pretty sure that she's talking to her mom right now about this exact same thing."

Sally looked at her mom with her very red eyes, sniffing, "But mom, what if she never wants to speak to me again? What I did tonight over at her house, I wouldn't blame her if she never spoke to me again." She started crying again.

Sally's mother just looked down at her daughter, held her out to look at her a little better then laid it all out for her. "Sally, listen to me. If you still love her, you're going to have to work things out with her. If you don't care about her then I wouldn't worry about anything. But I know you, you're madly in love with Beth and she is madly in love with you. The reason you are feeling like this, is that she has put you in second place behind her martial arts and you're feeling left out. Didn't she say to you that she would make it up to you after the tournament? Well, talk to her. You two have too much going for the both of you just to walk away from everything."

Sally looked up at her mother, sniffed a little, even smiled a little, "Okay mom, you're right, I do love her and don't want it to end. I'll try and call her tomorrow."

Sally's mother just looked at her and smiled, "Why don't you go upstairs and take a shower then go to bed. Hopefully when you wake up tomorrow, you will see things a little differently."

"Okay, mom thanks. I love you." She sat up and hugged her mom, then went upstairs

Before she went upstairs herself, Judy wanted to make sure that Sally had gone into the shower before she made the phone call to Beth's mom. They both talked for about 15 minutes about what to do with their daughters just in case everything fell through. After the talk with Liz, Judy felt better but something else started bothering her but couldn't place what the feeling was. She went into her bedroom and talked with her husband.

Beth woke up the next morning feeling better than she did the previous night. She still didn't know what to do about Sally but figured that she would at least call her later on.

When Sally awoke that same morning, she was also feeling a little better than the previous night. Although with Sally, there was something nagging her in the back of her mind and she couldn't place what it was. She thought about calling Beth but then decided to put it off until after breakfast.

She came downstairs for some breakfast and found her parents, along with Stephanie and Lisa eating. "Good morning sweetheart, how are you feeling this morning?" Her mother asked with a worried look.

"I guess I'm doing okay Mom."

"Well, you look better than you did last night. Is there something still bothering you?" Her mother asked.

"I don't know mom. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what's happening. There's something still bothering me but I don't know what it is." Sally looked at her sister and Lisa and suddenly broke down in tears.

Her mother rushed over to Sally and just held her stroking her hair. "Sally, what's wrong?"

"Mom, it feels as if I've lost Beth and I don't know what to do."

"Come on sweetheart." Sally's mother led her to the living room and sat down next to her holding her protectively. "Now tell me why you think that you've lost Beth."

"Sniff, Mom, when I left Beth's house last night I was so angry at her that I could have cared less if she called and made up with me. But now, I want to call her and apologize to her but I don't know if she would accept it. I still love her mom." Sally started crying again.

After her talk with Liz last night, she had a feeling something like this would happen. Liz had basically told her the same thing had happened with Beth but she wasn't going to let Sally know. She had also worked it out so that Beth would be coming over shortly to apologize to Sally, but first she had to get her upstairs to get ready.

"Sally listen to me. If you and Beth didn't care for each other so much we wouldn't be having this conversation, but I know that both of you love each other very much and would do anything to stay together. Now, what you are going to have to do is call her up and talk to her. Why don't you go upstairs, take a shower and get freshened up. You will feel better, and then you can come back down and eat something. Okay?"

"Sure mom." Sniffle.

Sally went upstairs to her room to take her shower unaware that Beth was on her way over with her mother at this moment.

A few minutes later there was a knock on the front door. Stephanie went to answer it and when she opened the door she saw Beth and her Mother standing there. Stephanie looked at Beth and saw that she had been crying also.

"Come on in." Stephanie said to the two of them.

Judy came over to Liz and hugged her. "How's Beth doing?" She asked Liz.

"Not too well I'm afraid. I thought she would be better this morning but when she came down to breakfast this morning, she started crying again and couldn't stop." Liz said somewhat dejectedly. "Where's Sally?"

"She's upstairs taking a shower right now." All of a sudden like a lightning bolt out of the blue an idea just took shape in Sally's mothers head. "Beth, have you taken a shower yet?" Judy asked her.

"No, Mrs. Krieger not yet, why?" Beth asked quizzically.

"Look, if you want to make up with Sally, which I know you want to do, she's upstairs in the shower right now. Why don't you surprise her by taking one with her? I think it would surprise her and show her at the same time that you still want to be with her. What do you think honey?"

Beth looked at her and suddenly made up her mind. Beth started walking up the stairs to Sally's room, and as she entered, she heard the shower going. She started taking her clothes off and when she finally had them all off; she quietly stepped into the bathroom. She saw Sally's outline behind the curtain and knew that her back was to her right now. She took a deep breath, slipped the curtain aside as quietly as she could and stepped into the shower.

Sally was in the process of rinsing the suds out of her hair when a slight breeze came from behind her. She didn't even have the chance to turn around before she felt the familiar hands encircle her waist. She gasped, turned around and was face to face with Beth. As she looked into Beth's bloodshot eyes, she started crying again but this time with the knowledge that they were about to make up.

Sally immediately wrapped her arms around Beth's waist and just held her tightly as the warm water cascaded down both their bodies. They broke apart slightly looking at each other and smiled. Beth brought her face towards Sally's and gently pressed their lips together. As their lips touched, both of their mouths opened and their tongues entered each others mouth. As their kiss grew longer, Beth's hands slipped down to Sally's butt and grasped it very tightly causing Sally to gasp and thus releasing Beth's tongue from her mouth. As she watched Beth kneel down in front of her, she knew what Beth was about to do to her and was anticipating it. Beth's tongue came back out and she started licking around Sally's labia very gently. Every now and then, she would stick her tongue all the way up Sally's pussy and as she withdrew it almost all the way out; she would give Sally's clit a little lick. Beth continued that way for a while until she decided to give Sally her orgasm. As she stuck her tongue in again, this time she sealed her lips around Sally's clit and sucked on it for all it was worth. Sally could feel her orgasm building but every time she thought she would cum, Beth would stop her ministrations. This time though when she felt Beth starting to suck on her clit and felt Beth's mouth clamp down on it, she felt the orgasm building until she couldn't stand it any longer and just about collapsed on top of Beth.

As Beth stood up and held Sally, she could feel the love that she had for her. Beth knew that she had to make amends for last night and this was just a small part of it. The water had started to cool down so Beth turned off the taps and held Sally so both of them could get out of the shower to dry off. She dried off Sally first, and then toweled herself off. They both walked back into Sally's room and sat down and looked at each other. "Beth, that was incredible in there. I don't know what to say except thank you very much love." She went over to Beth and just hugged her.

As Sally broke apart from Beth, she noticed that Beth had tears rolling down her face. "Sally, I'm so sorry for the last couple of weeks. I didn't realize what I was doing to you. I think that I took it for granted that you would always be there for me. I didn't think that you would mind that I was spending all of my time practicing for the tournament because I knew after the tournament ended; I was going to make it up to you. Will you forgive me, please?"

Sally listened to all of this and it just about broke her heart when she heard Beth ask for forgiveness and cry at the same time.

"I forgive you Beth. It was also partly my fault because of the way I spoke to you last night. I was just very angry because I thought you had ignored me and didn't care about me anymore." She looked at Beth and realized that her eyes were starting to tear up.

Both of the girls just leaned in and hugged each other very tightly and cried. After a while they broke apart and realized that they were both still naked. Sally looked at Beth a little sheepishly and did the first thing that came to mind; she bent her head down and licked Beth's right nipple. As she continued licking, she was busy fondling Beth's left nipple. All this time Beth had been moaning but when Sally bit down a little on the nipple in her mouth, it almost made Beth cum. Sally knelt in front of Beth and started licking on her left nipple and at the same time, had her left hand sliding in and around Beth's pussy. She was caressing Beth's clit very slowly and every time that Beth felt her orgasm approaching, Sally would back off. Sally finally felt that Beth was ready to cum. She lowered her face to Beth's pussy and as she did, Beth spread her legs wider. Sally brought her tongue to Beth's pussy, shoved it in as far as she could, and then started sucking very hard on her clit. As she was sucking on Beth's clit, she took her right middle finger and placed it in Beth's rosebud and at the same time used her thumb and placed it in Beth's pussy caressing her clit at the same time she was sucking on it. Beth couldn't believe that the orgasm that was building inside of her was starting to make her shake. As the orgasm was building, Beth was having a very hard time staying still. Sally finally gave Beth's clit a series of caresses and a very hard sucking motion which put Beth over the edge. She started shaking and moaning very loudly when Sally climbed onto her, holding her very tightly and quietly whispering words of love to her.

After about 10 minutes or so, Beth finally opened her eyes and saw that Sally was on top of her, both of them lying on Sally's bed. "God Sally that was the most intense orgasm you have ever given me. I love you so much Sally. From now on before we get into another argument or fight, we really need to sit down and talk to each other."

As Beth was holding Sally, she was thinking about what just happened between them and realized how much she had missed just holding Sally and making love to her. She also realized how much she loved Sally and wished this had never happened. But again, she realized that things always seem to happen for a reason.

Unknown to Beth, Sally was almost thinking the exact same thing. She was lying in Beth's arms enjoying the closeness of Beth for the first time in a couple of weeks. She almost forgot how good it felt. She really felt very comfortable in Beth's arms; she realized how silly that fight had been.

The next thing that Sally heard was an insistent knocking at her door. "Girls, is everything alright in there?" It was Sally's mother.

Sally realized that she was still wrapped up in Beth's arms. She managed to turn around and looked at her clock and realized that she and Beth had fallen asleep for 2 hours!

"Yeah, Mom. Everything's okay. We'll be down shortly."

Sally turned back to Beth and realized that she was awake and staring at Sally.

"Hello there. How are you feeling?" Beth asked with a worried look on her face.

"Actually Beth, I haven't felt this good in weeks." Sally said with a big smile on her face.

Beth looked at her and smiled, "Sally, that was such a stupid argument that we had. Promise me that if we ever have those difficulties again, that we will talk before we act. Okay?"

"I promise Beth." She gave Beth a very deep kiss, sliding her tongue into Beth's mouth as Beth slid her tongue into Sally's mouth. They started sucking on each other's tongues and before they realized it, they were gasping for air.

"I think it's time to get dressed and go downstairs. I don't know about you, but I'm starving." Sally told Beth.

They walked downstairs holding hands and smiling. As they got to the dining room, they saw both their mothers and Stephanie and Lisa sitting around talking.

"Glad to see that you two have made up. We were starting to get a little worried because we didn't hear any noise coming from your room for a while sweetheart." Sally's mom said smiling.

"How are you feeling Beth?" Her mom asked.

Beth looked over at Sally and smiled, "Quite a bit better Mom. Thanks."

Stephanie and Lisa looked over at Beth and Sally and noticed the "sparkle" in their eyes had returned. They knew right then, that Beth and Sally had worked through their argument and everything would be okay; at least until their next argument.

Eight days later, Sally was waiting for Beth to come back from the Martial Arts tournament. Even though Beth had been gone for one day, Sally missed her terribly. Beth hadn't even called her to let her know how she had done; that might be a bad sign as far as Sally knew. She was so deep in thought that she didn't even hear the knock on her door. The banging just kept getting louder and that brought Sally back down to earth. "Come in whoever you are."

As Sally turned around, Beth came walking through the door. Sally gasped when she saw what Beth was holding in her hands: the first place trophy for her class!

"Beth, you won!"

"Yes baby, I did, thanks to you!"

"What do you mean; thanks to me?"

"Well, after we made up after that stupid argument, I realized how much more relaxed I had become. I didn't have to worry about how you felt anymore and I could concentrate that much better. Baby, I owe you big time!"

"Close the door and we can talk about what you owe me, sweetheart."

As Beth closed the door behind her and walked towards Sally, they both knew that a turning point had come in their relationship. The loving was slow, passionate and most of all, tender.
