I had just about enough of Dottie's harassment. She had been harassing me since high school. We were now in our third year of college. I found it odd that it had carried on for this long. My vision blurred as tears began to swell in my eyes. The laughs of my graduating class echoed in my head as I walked down the steep incline.
Mountains towered in the distance. I briefly glanced up at the star freckled sky. Mid century modern homes sat high like palaces on both sides of the road. If there was one thing I loved about living in Washington State it was the breathtaking scenery. It was half an hour past midnight. Almost everyone had gone to the campus queen dance, myself included. That was until Dottie had teased me about my date leaving me to dance with Martha Briggs.
Part of me blamed myself. The truth was that I had only chosen to go with Tommy because I didn't want the rest of the graduating class to know that I was what they called "queer". However, everything came crashing down when Tommy tried to kiss me and I rejected him. His words echoed through my head "What's the matter? Are you queer or something?"
Dottie had been dancing with Jimmy, a boy she had been going steady with for quite a while now. They were only a short distance from us and she had overheard. A wicked grin spread across her face before she shouted "Millie's queer!" Before I knew it what looked like hundreds of fingers pointed in my direction as the party guests all spoke at once.
The look on Dottie and her friend's faces would forever be etched into my mind. The last thing I remember was Tommy looking at me in disgust before I ran out.
Maybe I could transfer schools. The idea of going somewhere where no one knew me sounded like the dream right about now.
"Hey there Miss Lonelyhearts, do you need a ride?" A familiar feminine voice asked. Her alluring tone carried a sensual pull that made it impossible to ignore. Christine Nelson.
Christine was one of Dottie's best friends. It was well known that her family was old money. Her family had been in the lumber industry. I hadn't had any run-ins with her but anyone who hung out with Dottie Perkins was guilty by association in my eyes. She hadn't gone to the dance which I found quite odd.
Green eyes bored into mine. It was as if she could see right into one's soul. Her strawberry blonde hair sat in an elegant bun. Her white party dress complemented her pink Cadillac convertible. I found myself unable to tear my eyes away from the girl.
Whenever we made eye contact, I always felt as though I was under a spell. The corners of her lips curved upwards. "I'm fine, thanks." I managed to say, ignoring the feeling of my knees buckling. I began to walk again.
Her car rolled along at a slow pace beside me. "Oh come on now. The dorms are at least twenty minutes away on foot." A playful pout formed on her pink lips.
"Why the hell do you care? You're best friends with Dottie." I rolled my eyes and clenched my jaw.
"Believe it or not, my life doesn't revolve around Dottie Perkins. Based on how upset you are, I assume she's done something awful."
"How long did it take for you to figure that out lady Einstein? Could it be that I'm walking home alone instead of driving back with my date?!" I snapped.
Christine didn't seem to be bothered by this at all. There was a long pause. A smirk formed on her lips as she leaned over and opened the passenger's side door. "Well since we're both awfully lonesome tonight why don't you climb in and tell me all about it? We could keep each other company."
Butterflies formed in the pit of my stomach. I wanted to say no, but my feet seemed to carry me towards her as though I were a sailor being lured into the sea by a beautiful siren. A triumphant smirk formed on her lips. "Good girl." She said barely above a whisper. I ignored the tingly sensation in my lower abdomen.
*** I told her everything that had happened. She didn't seem at all surprised. To be honest, neither was I. This was typical of Dottie. "She isn't my best friend, you know." Christine finally spoke.
"Then why do you always hang out with her?" I asked.
"She's always following me around. Most people seem to do that when you come from old money." I couldn't believe my ears. Dottie following someone around? I had always known her to be the leader of the pack. People followed her. The idea of Dottie following someone else around was foreign to me.
I chuckled in disbelief. "So, are you interested in women?" Christine asked. I didn't have to look at her to know that her eyes were on me.
My face turned beet red. Fear rose within me. I knew this wasn't something I could go around telling just anyone. I had heard horror stories of people who had been found out and were sent away to asylums. The funny farm is what they called it.
"Ground control to Millie?" She teased, snapping me out of my thoughts. I cursed internally. I knew I had taken too long to answer. By the mischievous twinkle in her eyes, this was all she needed to know.
"I'm not. I love men, they're so...manly." As soon as the words left my mouth I wanted to die. Out of all the things I could say about them, that was what I came up with?
She stopped the car in the middle of the road, unable to pull over since there was no room on the side of the steep road. My eyes stayed on my lap. "Millie?" She called softly.
My eyes were glued to my lap. "It's true. I d-do! I've had boyfriends in the past. What happened with Tommy was a misunderstanding. I didn't want to look at her. I could feel her eyes on me. I braced myself for what she'd say next.
"Millie, it's alright. I know." She said in a delicate tone. Finally finding the courage, I glanced over at her. For the first time, her smile seemed genuine.
My throat had gone dry. I found myself unable to speak. "I want to show you something." She said before turning down a road I had never been on. *** She had taken me to a secluded spot that overlooked the college town below. The scene before us was picturesque. Light illuminated from the homes and businesses. A slow dreamy tune played at a low volume on the radio.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Christine asked, staring at the town in wonderment. My heart pounded against my chest. I looked over at Christine admiring her sharp features. Had she always been this beautiful? Wait, did I actually think that?
"It is." I replied, trying to remain calm. This was strange. Was I overthinking? Why had Christine brought me to such a romantic spot?
I glanced over at her and noticed her lying on the bench seat while gazing at me. There was a longing in her eyes. Her hand drew circles along the top of the bench seat. Her eyes searched mine before she uttered the next words. "You're so far away. It's awfully lonesome over here Millie." She whispered.
The hair on my arms stood up. Was she suggesting what I thought she was suggesting? I almost pinched myself to see if I was dreaming. None of this felt real.
Hiding my fear, I shifted closer to her. She smiled softly as she placed her arm around my shoulders. The pleasant scent of vanilla filled my nostrils. My head was spinning.
Feeling bold, I placed a hand on her knee. Our gazes were locked on each other. "Hi." I whispered.
"Hello there." She said back with a smirk. I glanced down at her small pink lips. I noticed her leaning toward me before I closed my eyes.
Her lips pressed softly against mine. Our lips moved perfectly together. The taste of pomegranates filled my mouth. Before I knew it the kids had grown more passionate. I bit down on her bottom pulling a moan from her. My hands slid around her waist pulling her closer until our breasts were pressed together.
She ran her tongue along my bottom lip. I opened my mouth wider, accepting her request without hesitation. As the kiss deepened, she ran her tongue along mine. Our tongues began to fight for dominance. To no surprise, she won this battle. I could taste our shared breath in the heated kiss.
My body craved more of her. I pulled her on top of me. "Look at you, so bold." Christine whispered in my ear. Her cool breath gave me goosebumps. She lightly sucked my ear lobe causing me to let out an involuntary whimper.
Her warm rogue swirled inside my ear causing me to grind against her. My grip tightened around her waist as she kissed and sucked along my neck. She traced a well manicured finger along my jawline. "Someone's getting impatient." She smiled, taking notice of my desperation for friction.
"Christine..." "Yes, Millie?" Her sultry tone was teasing. "Please....I need you." I begged. My cheeks were flushed. Never in a million years would I have thought that I'd be begging Christine to fuck me. There was a familiar mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
"You're so cute when you beg." Christine smiled. She helped me remove my underwear feeling how wet I was. I felt that I would come undone any minute.
"Did I do that?" She asked with a smile. I only nodded in response. We switched positions so that now I was on top of her. She lifted her dress so that we were skin to skin. Christine's piercing green eyes remained locked on mine as I slowly began to grind against her bare thigh.
I held on to her shoulders as unadulterated pleasure shot through my body. She smiled at me softly as I ground against her. I picked up my pace. The sight of her was enough to nearly drive me over the edge. The girl had a face that looked as though it were carved by the gods.
Her eyes. Her mouth. Her soft palms held my breasts and gave them a gentle squeeze. Everything about the mysterious strawberry blonde was mesmerizing. I felt my orgasm begin to build as I gripped her shoulders tighter. "Christine, I'm going to-"
"That's my girl." She praised. My skin felt as though it were on fire. A warm smoldering feeling took over. This was enough to push me over the edge as I finally reached my climax. I cried out loud enough to make myself slightly paranoid that someone had heard. There were no other cars around and we were in a secluded spot so more than likely no one had heard.
I rode out my orgasm. Christine smiled, reaching down and collecting some of my juices. Her eyes remained on mine as she brought her fingers to her mouth and began to suck. Christine moaned at the taste and I couldn't help but kiss her again. The kiss was sloppy and feverish.
I could kiss her lips forever as I tasted myself on her. She lightly sucked my tongue which earned a moan. We kissed for a while before I pulled away. "Th-at was amazing." My breath was ragged.
Christine beamed. "You deserve it honey." Something about the sweet nickname gave me butterflies. I could feel my face turning warm.
"Awww did I make you blush?" Christine asked before giving me a soft peck on the lips. Though it was only a peck, the kiss left me with a tingly sensation.
"I want to make you come." I said.
Christine looked shocked before her eyes lit up. "I have something in mind." Christine slid back against the door lifting up her dress. The wet spot on her underwear only made me anticipate giving her pleasure even more.
She removed her underwear and I was met with the girl's shaved lips. My mouth began to water as she motioned for me to come closer. Her half lidded eyes made her look all the more inviting.
I wasted no time moving forward and grabbing hold of the girl's thighs. I began to pepper kisses on each thigh, moving higher as I progressed. I lightly blew against her clit causing her hips to buck.
"Tell me what you want, Princess." I said feeling bold.
"Goddamn it Millie don't t--" This was enough for me to surge forward as I ate her out. Her fingers pulled me closer as I tasted her.
I tried a few experimental moves, since this was my first time. I then swirled my tongue along her clit before sticking my tongue inside of her. "Oh my stars Millie, you're so good" enjoying the praise I sped up the pace while intertwining my left hand with hers.
I clicked her clit and started to suck which caused her to cry out. Her fingers dug into my scalp as she pulled me closer. "Yes, good girl Millie. Right there, honey." She moaned.
I sucked with more intensity causing her to cry out. I could feel her walls clenching before she finally came undone. Her thighs squeezed both sides of my head. I lapped up her juices savoring her taste. She softly ran her fingers through my hair.
Once I sat up, she pulled me into a long passionate kiss. This wasn't as lustful as the previous ones that we had tonight, but instead felt sweet. When we pulled away from one another I peered into her eyes. She cupped the side of my face and ran her thumb along my lips. The corners of her mouth curved upward.
I leaned into her touch. "God you're so beautiful." I blurted out.
Now it was her turn to blush. "You're not too bad yourself Millie." She replied. I took her free hand in mine. Though tonight had been the first night we ever uttered a word to each other, I felt as though I had known her all my life.
"I wish we could stay here forever." I said somberly, knowing this night would come to an end.
"Our own little Shangri-La." She smiled. She moved closer, resting her forehead against mine. I breathed in closing my eyes. There were no words that I could use to express how much I loved being close to the woman.
On the radio a familiar tune began to play. I couldn't help but smile when I heard Frankie Avalon sing "Venus". Christine noticed how happy I had gotten as she began to sing alone. Her gentle voice made me feel as though I were being put under hypnosis.
She kissed my cheek softly, making me blush as we sat there wrapped in each other's arms.
I felt as though I were on cloud nine as we drove back to the dorms. I couldn't help but sneak a few glances in her direction. I smiled thinking about the possible future and many dates to come. Sure we didn't live in a world where it was safe to be open, but the thought of spending more time with her even if it was in a secluded spot underneath the shadows of the towering hemlocks filled me with joy and anticipation.
Silvery moonlight illuminated the side of Christine's face giving her an ethereal glow. What had started out as a horrible night turned into an absolute dream. Her hair blew in the wind as she drove back to the dorms.
