The events, names, story, places, occurrences in this store are all fiction. Any information which can be traced to anyone is purely coincidence. I have written this as if in the eyes of a young man, at the tender age of 21. Each chapter will be in the form of a journal entry, as young Corey adds events to his journal. Chapter 5: Corey Needs a Break
April 18, 2007: It hurts, but I took it better than I expected.
So yeah, I got that reply from Chris. Before I get into that, he said its one of the sweetest things anyone has ever written to/about him. I guess thats kinda cool. His response pretty much said he cant reciprocate the feelings I have for him. He said that he can't love me the way I love him - and I can understand that. I was surprised when I read it, that it didn't completely tear me apart. What it comes down to, is I want him to be happy, and I want whats best for him. I feel honoured that he even chooses to be a friend.
If all he wants is friendship, then thats great. I respect his wishes as well as his decision. I wish I could meet someone like him that lives here in Milton. Ive been single and lonely far too long it seems, and I just miss John far too much. So much has happened lately, its almost impossible to write about all of it. Ive had loads of fun with my 2nd Uncle visiting from overseas. I will write about that sometime just after he leaves to go back home. Then I can write about his entire trip, instead of spreading it up.
On the other hand, I got a phonecall today - it was from the Hospital. The surgery that I was supposed to be having on the lower part of my body ended up getting pushed from next month to next week. I have to be there Tuesday at 10am - and they say I will be there for about 4-6 days before I am released to go home, where upon I will have a registered nurse home caregiver tend to me.
I can't say I'm looking forward to the surgery, but I am glad it got pushed closer. The sooner it's over with the better. As someone pointed out to me, theres an 87% chance of me living through the surgery, and a 60% chance that I will still have full use of my legs after the surgery. So I hope everything goes right (at first I told him I had a 13% chance of dying, and a 40% chance at losing use of my legs). Its kinda weird, some days I can barely walk, and others I am fine. This bone disease attacking my ankles, knees, and right hip is really annoying.

==== Author: I was told that Corey needs a break. Well - He isn't going to get one it seems. Life doesn't give people breaks, things just happen and its how people deal with them that determines if that person gets a break or not. Good stuff has happened to Corey, and I will be writing about that soon - so its something to look forward to. Right now, the bad outweighs the good, so thats whats dominating his mind.
