CH 21.
The orange hue of the sky grew as the day wore down. Marc enjoyed the last warm rays of the sun touching his skin. He wiped his forehead being careful not to get white paint on himself. The fence looked like crap. The wood was still left untouched. He looked to his left and caught Dru and Sheila slacking off, talking to each other.
Other workers were scattered through the large property, building houses, moving furniture, landscaping. Another day of life on the Watkins farm
"Ugh... guys? Weren't you going to be helping me?" Marc complained.
"Oh sorry," Shelia said turning away from Dru. "We were just talking about some plans."
"Oh? You guys got a hot date?"
"Not really we kind of got plans to go somewhere this Sunday. Have you seen Weston or Javier around recently?"
That's when it clicked in his head. Weston and Javier had invited the couple to a Milkem tour. Too bad Marc couldn't exactly tell them that those two wouldn't be showing up.
"Um...Haven't seen them around," Marc dipped his brush in the paint then stroked up and down against the wood.
"What I'm curious about is why we're getting grilled, look at Ayden over there." Dru cocked his head.
Marc turned and sure enough, the hot blonde stud was being crowded around by females. Marc sucked his teeth. The cowman was supposed to be bringing more paint cans over. Though based on what he was carrying, he had retrieved them, but hadn't been allowed to make it back.
"Hey whenever you're done, we could use some help over here!" Marc shouted across the field getting Ayden's attention. Marc was getting used to speaking his mind. His body help put some weight behind his words.
"Be over soon!" Ayden shouted back.
Marc nodded. Though he felt a bit braver, he couldn't go making demands of people genetically superior. He chuckled to himself remembering how that didn't stop him from decking Trevor in the face when they first met. The memory made Marc wince since the two had grown closer, but Trevor did need an attitude adjustment in the beginning.
The strong smell of paint wafted into Marc's nose as the wind blew. He crouched down to get lower on the wooden fence, sighed then rested his brush beside him, balancing it on the can. Still crouching he folded his hands together.
"Dru, Sheila," He spoke catching both their attention. "I wanted to say I'm sorry. You guys were right there were other people taking milk too."
"I told you." Dru stated earning him a slap upside the head from Sheila. He rubbed the back of his head, "What was that for."
Sheila pouted and put her hands on her hips. "Can't you just say thank you? Marc's trying to apologize here!"
"That's because we deserve it!" Dru said back.
"Okay but we were taking milk irresponsibly."
Marc watched the argument go on for a few more minutes. He had wanted to make sure his apology was genuine. After all Isabella had been taking milk too and even then, the culprits behind the large number of stolen milk were Weston and Javier. Dru and Sheila kept arguing and Marc painted along. After all, once they got going it seemed there was no stopping them.
Eventually Ayden was able to pry himself away from his fan club and gave the couple something to ogle over. Marc had half the mind to wipe their mouths, they were practically drooling.
It wasn't until Deborah walked by head buried in her notepad as she repeated phrases, that the group talked again.
"Hey where you headed?" Marc shouted.
"You know me just running through my notes." She stopped to walk up to the group. Her hair was falling down into her eyes. She was tired and needed a moments rest.
"You look how, I feel. "Dru chuckled and Sheila huffed.
"You could say that again. "Ayden dipped his brush and applied it onto the wood.
Dru scrunched his face, "You've been relaxing."
"Too be fair Dru, you and Sheila were just sitting here." Marc stated.
"Ugh!" Dru threw his hand over his chest in dramatic fashion. Sheila nodded her head getting back to work.
"To be honest, Weston and Javier haven't been coming in to work. Me and even a few other have had to pick up for those slackers." She smiled to show she wasn't too upset. Though the weariness in her eyes told the teenagers everything they needed to know. She took off, muttering her notes.
Dru shook his head, " I feel bad. Like I can just tell she was the kind of kid bullies love to pick on."
This time it was Ayden that slapped Dru upside the head.
"Why is everyone always hitting me?"
"Maybe you should just stop talking." Shelia said.
Marc couldn't help but feel bad for Deborah. She was a hard worker, if a bit clumsy and over-eager. Thought the twinge of pity started to morph into another feeling. Something Marc hadn't considered. What if Deborah was also in on stealing the milk. Just because she wasn't there that night didn't prove much of anything.
"Guys excuse me for a minute." Marc threw down his paint brush and took off after Deborah not waiting to hear their response.
He caught up too her with a light tap on the shoulder she spun around. "What's up?"
"I wanted to ask, how friendly were you to Weston and Javier?" Marc decided he could at least question to see how closely tied she was. As far as he knew Deborah had no reason to suspect him of anything. He could question her without her knowing a thing. " I'm curious if you have any ideas where they are?"
Deborah eyes went to the ground as her face fell, "I thought we were close, but then they didn't invite me to the Milkem tour. They also left all this work on me—and everybody else. I guess I was just another co-worker."
Marc nodded his head he wasn't sure if he believe her or if she was putting on a convincing act. "What do you know about Weston's wife?"
"His wife?" She asked cocking her head to the side.
"You know the lady that's been coming around here screaming." Marc said. He pulled out his phone and showed a clip of the woman that Ayden had sent him back in June.
Deb snapped her fingers "Oh yeah people were talking about her. That was so weird. I spent time with him, but he never told me about her."
"Did you ever see a ring on his finger?"
"No," She shook her head trying to conjure an image, "Maybe he was one of those guys that get self-conscious about losing it on the job?"
"That could be true," Marc muttered.
"Look at her. She's pretty, though I couldn't wear all that makeup to work. I'd be melted before noon."
Marc blinked, "Is she wearing a lot?"
Deb rolled her eyes and laughed. Marc got the impression she was judging his knowledge of makeup.
"It's not a lot she stated, but it's very well placed." Deb took the phone and pointed, "See her eyebrows are immaculate, that eye shadow makes hers pop and that red lipstick, if I could pull that shade off." Deborah handed pack the phone.
"Uh okay?"
"I'm serious, study her face sometime. That is a free lesson: try and picture her without it then how she put it on. Maybe one day you'll want to try makeup."
"Thanks, that's cool and all, but Makeup isn't really for me." Marc didn't want to get into how he broke out into a rash at 8 when he got into his mom's makeup. Never picked up a brush again.
"Anyway," Marc went on, reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the small key he had been carrying. He made sure Deborah could see the 117 that etched into it. "Does this look familiar?"
He wanted to gauge her reaction, see if she slipped up, but Deborah facial features gave nothing away. She shook her head. "I don't get it what is it? Besides a key."
Marc stuck the key back in his pocket. "Oh, it was something Weston dropped, I was hoping you knew what it was."
"Sorry but I have no idea." Deborah said goodbye as they parted.
Marc dropped the key into his pocket. He hadn't been able to part with it, but he was still no closer to finding out what it was.
The wind blew, telling Marc it was time to move from his spot, He turned around no doubt Ayden, Dru and Sheila were waiting for him. Perhaps they weren't even working while he was away. He would have made it back had it not been for Ken charging up and wrapping him in a hug.
"Where have you been hiding?" Marc said laughing as his feet disconnected from the ground. Ken spun them in a circle before setting Marc back down.
"Here and there," Ken smiled. Marc guessed that was his kind way of saying with Isabella. Marc looked back towards the unfinished fence in the distance, then at Ken. The two hadn't had a decent talk since June. Sure, they had hung out and played together, but they were avoiding the real pressing issue. "Ken take a walk with me, okay?" He strolled off with ken behind. The others could wait for him to get back. They had slacked off Marc was due his time as well.
Marc didn't say anything for a while and that was the first hint that Ken knew something was wrong. Until then he had been walking behind marc but decided to stroll up beside him.
"Hey, are you okay?" Ken asked.
Marc tried to hold back any bitterness from seeping out of his voice, "Have you told Isabella about the life mate thing?"
Ken shrunk into himself. Marc thought it was odd to see someone so muscular and powerful appear so small and vulnerable. The look Ken wore, Marc felt like he had kicked a puppy.
"I haven't told her yet," He stated flatly. Marc's heart flutter and he felt like crap the moment it did. Why was he such a petty person? couldn't he be happy for the guy he liked.
"Why not?"
"Isn't it obvious? Because of you Marc."
Marc stopped at that and spun to face Ken. "Because of me? What do you mean?"
"I like her, but I know you don't." He admitted "That's good enough for me."
Marc crossed his arms in an X "No, no, no. denied. You can't make your relationship based off of me."
"Why not? I think you're a great judge of character. If she make you uncomfortable, I should listen." Ken said.
Marc pinched the bridge of his nose he didn't want to admit it but it had to be said. " Ken I'm a gay horny teenager, who's never had a boyfriend. Then the first boyfriend I get is this super-hot stud and I lose him. You can't trust my judgement."
" I think it can still be pretty good." Ken retorted.
Marc shook his head, "No, It's biased. Very Bias." He couldn't believe he was about to admit this, "To whatever gets you back in my arms. You have to use your own common sense and judgment."
Ken reached for one of Marc's hand and held it in his own. He ran his finger over it. "I-I don't know if I ever said this in so many words Marc, but I wasn't raised like most people. For most of my life I was relegated to living in one room. Then the cops and your uncle saved me, then I met you. Now I know Trevor, Ayden, Dru, Sheila, Xander, Lyla I could go on. But there's a lot of experiences I just don't have that others do. So `common sense' may not be so common with me."
Marc had to take pause. Uncle T had once briefly mentioned Ken's upbringing, but it was the first time Ken himself had talked about his past. Marc grabbed Ken's hands holding them.
"Damn that's..." Marc shook his head, "fair enough." His voice trailed off sadly. He cleared his throat before speaking again "Okay here's the deal. I promise to share my opinion with you. If you start taking chances for yourself, How's that?
"Deal," Ken bounce not a moment of hesitation. "So, what do you think about Isabella?"
"Uhhh anything, but her. My view is already skewed. Like even now I want to tell you to stop going with her and just come back to me."
"Marc..."
Marc held up his free hand, "I know, I know you're worried about us being together. But look I have this big body and I've actually started to use it. While I don't think I could take you and Trevor on a match throwing me around wouldn't be so easy."
"Oh really?" Ken arched and eyebrow.
Marc rubbed the back of his head, "Yeah actually I had gotten some advice on how we could possibly corral that rowdy side of you guys."
"Really?" Ken smirked. "How?"
"Oh no you don't," Marc smiled dragging his finger across Ken's nose, "If you want to know that. We'd have to be in a relationship. I can't just give this valuable information to anyone for free."
Ken's mouth dropped open, "Are you serious?"
Mark walked along and smirked back, "You'll have to choose between me and Isabella soon."
Ken tackled Marc to the ground. The boys wrestled, until finally Ken ended on top. The bullman stared down at the muscular black teenager pinned beneath him. Marc couldn't stop laughing as he struggled to move, but his legs were lock and his hands were held down. Ken pressed their chest together and wrapped Marc in a hug.
"You know if it's a choice, If I really have to choose it'd be you, always you." Ken's voice was soft and quiet, that even the wind, or the tiniest movement would drown out the sounds. "You were the first person that ever took any interest in me, that stuck by me. I know I said I was scared, and I still am but..."
Ken didn't finish his statement and Marc didn't ask him to.
The two boys laid out in the field, People could see them, but they were uninterested in what the two boys were doing.
By the time they got up, Marc started walking back to the mansion. No doubt Ayden and the others had quit painting for the day. Ken trotted along beside him.
Marc bit the side of his cheek, mulling over the next question he was going to ask. He softly nudged Ken, "Since I've been helping Trevor with his parents, if you ever want to talk about yours, we can."
"No thanks. I never knew them anyway." Ken said emotionless. No hint of sadness or happiness to be found on curl his lips.
"Never knew them? Weren't they on the farm with you?" Marc asked surprised.
Ken shook his head shoving his hands in his pockets, "The other Cowmen took care of me. They'd talk about my parents through the other side of the door when they brought me food. They said my dads were dropped off on the farm one day pregnant, then after I was born, they were gone again." He turned his head away from Marc.
Marc stopped walking and gently turned Ken's face back to him. The two young men looked at each other. " Isn't it weird that your parents left you with a bunch of strangers? Aren't you the least bit curious?"
Ken rolled his tongue over his lips, "Adults do things they don't understand all the time. Maybe they had their reasons for leaving me: they weren't ready to be parents, maybe they had given me to the farm, or they didn't like babies." The bullman's voice went quiet.
It was a shock for Marc to hear Ken go on such a tirade. "Since when are you so negative? Have you always though that about your parents?"
Ken's silence spoke volumes.
"Why are you so sure that they left you?"
"Well my old owners said—
"Your old Owners?! Ken, the people that locked you in the room said your parents left you!" Marc grabbed the side of Ken's head playfully shaking it, "Newsflash, maybe they were lying."
There was a look of surprise on Ken's face. What Marc said was an option he hadn't even considered. He went through a face journey expressing various emotions. Even fully mature Ken had carried his child naivety. Ken stood still. He balled his fist, till they shook with anger. Then he exhaled. Ken placed his hands on Marc's arms removing Marc's hands from his face.
Ken smiled, "Thank you Marc." He turned walking away. "I need to be alone for a while." Marc wasn't exactly over the moon about leaving Ken in such a state but decided to let his bullman have space. Marc made his way into the mansion still thinking about Ken. He walked into the main hall spotting uncle T holding his hands up in a frame.
"Uncle T what are you doing?
"What do you think about remodeling the Main hall." Uncle T smiled, until he caught the worried look on Marc face. "Hey remodeling isn't that big of a deal,"
"No, it's not the remodeling," Marc waved his hand. "I was wondering what you know about Ken and Trevor's parents. You said how they were brough up, but now I'm realizing I never asked you about their parents."
Uncle T sighed, "When it comes to Ken's parents not much. They weren't on that farm for long and they barely talked to any of the other cowmen. Heck, no one even knew their names. Just that a van took them away late one night."
Disheartened didn't begin to describe how Marc felt. What was he supposed to do with this information? He wasn't a spy, a detective even if he was an unmarked van wasn't much of a clue.
"And Trevor?" Marc went on.
Uncle T smirked, "Ah now there's a mystery. Since Trevor actually knew his parents, we found out a bit about them. One of Trevor's dad's is from Brazil, a wrestler a bit of a local celebrity in Curitiba, His other dad is a Brazilian-American, worked as a gym-loving accountant. They both met here in the sates and got married. We went to their apartment; the owner hadn't cleared out their stuff because they had prepaid their rent. Going through it we found that one of them was pregnant—with Trevor obviously-and they were going to surprise their friends and family."
"How did that turn out?" Marc asked trying to hear where his uncle was leading.
"Well, that's the thing they never did. They just went missing one day. Their friends thought the took a trip to Brazil. They had no idea about Trevor. While his American dad had no family, we offered to fly Trevor to Brazil to leave with his grandparents and extended family, but he refused." Uncle T leaned against the wall. "After what he'd been through, we weren't going to force him into anything."
"A couple went missing and no one noticed?"
"They were the kind of couple that liked to do spontaneous travel. Their friends were use to it." Uncle T stated sadly. Though had they been on the farm it would have been suspicious right away." Uncle T held up a finger.
"Why's that?" Marc asked.
"Trevor's parents are high-tier Cowmen, for them both to disappear without telling anyone, that's automatically suspicious." Uncle T folded his arms. "Even more so if they knew he was pregnant with a bullman. They're both high-tier so."
"How would people know they were both high-tier? I know Trevor told you, but how could anyone else guess that?"
"I told you in Curitiba one of Trevor's dad was famous. There are a lot of interviews of him discussing it. Then there are interviews with his life-mate."
Marc said goodbye to Uncle T and headed up to his room. It was an interesting question, where the hell were their parents? Did Ken's parents leave him? and what about Trevor's parents they went missing only to end up on a farm that made cowmen fight. Where were they now. Marc collapsed onto his bed. There were other questions, was Deb a thief too? Why would Weston and Javier threaten to kill Marc over something as ridiculous as milk?
The afternoon faded into the evening as night approached. There was a knock at Marc's door. Trevor stood there, Milkem files in hand. His skin was glistening; he had come from a workout.
"Hey, I was wondering if you'd help me going through these?" Trevor walked in with the file.
"Oh sure?" Marc said as Trevor handed him the folder.
"I've gone through a few, no luck" He started taking of his shirt.
"Whoa, what are you doing?" Marc asked.
"I was hoping t take a shower while I was here." He tossed his shirt over to Marc. A familiar earthy scent soaked into the air.
"Well don't take your shirt off, you smell." Marc stated.
"Come on, I don't smell that bad." Trevor lifted an arm to smell his pits.
"Not your B.O, your pheromones!" Marc said.
" Right. well there's no helping that."
"Why didn't you take a shower and cool off before coming here?" Marc said throwing the shirt back.
Trevor made no effort to catch it letting it hit his body and slide down his chest and abs till it met the floor. "Well I would have done that, but Ken was acting weird."
Marc sat up. "Weird how?"
"Not sure, but he was releasing pheromones and you know what happens when the two of us start doing that. I decided it was best to get out of there."
"Yeah that was probably for the best." Marc stood up his cock getting his hard is mind was floating. He walked over to Trevor, placed a hand on the bullman's chest, coated with a light dusting of hair, and pushed him back. "Now please take shower please before I—
The palm of Marc's hand sunk into the hard looking Pec's. Marc moved his hand over. You're making milk.
"What no I'm dry, Maybe I just started but—
Marc lent forward and started sucking on Trevor's nipples. He was rewarded with a tasty treat. The milk came out of the teat and dripped down Marc's mouth. He pulled back. The epd was now empty, Trevor had been honest he had been milked recently.
Trevor looked down as his white milk rolled down Marc's black skin. The contrast was astounding. He grabbed the back of Marc's head and guided it to his other pec.
"Drink." Trevor stated. Marc didn't hesitate and suckled on the nipple. There wasn't much milk to get, but Marc took it all anyway. Though it wasn't enough to send him over the edge.
Releasing Marc's head, Trevor breathed wildly, unable to catch his breathe. "Okay that's it dude I'm done."
The young black male pulled away wiping his mouth. He licked his lips staring down Trevor body. The bullman's brown eyes were glowing. Marc let his view take in Trevor tasty treat he was.
"I know one more place that might have some milk." Marc stared at the bulge in Trevor's workout shorts. He reached to pull them down and move his mouth forward, until he felt a palm on his forehead keeping him back.
"Uh no, we shouldn't" Trevor said still breathing heavily. He clearly wanted to go on. Trevor pulled away. "I'm going to take that shower."
The rejection cause a small disconnect. Marc could feel the aphrodisiac effect of Trevor's sent wearing off. "But I want to... and I know you want to." Marc wiggled his eyebrow.
"I know, but what I did during that time I met your parents, that wasn't right, and I didn't apologize for it. I'm sorry." Trevor gave a weak smile.
Marc sat there free of Trevor's pheromones. Though his cock was still hard his heart and mind just weren't in it. "Oh well..." Marc wasn't sure what to say after that.
"Yeah so I'm going to take that shower." Trevor rushed out the room not even grabbing a spare towel.
The bullman came back a sopping wet young man. Marc graciously handed him a towel to dry off and wrap around his waist. Trevor closed the door behind as he sat next to Marc on the bed.
Documents covered the bed as Marc was sitting legs grossed hunched over shifting through papers.
"Find anything?" Trevor asked.
"Find anything? How could I find anything when I don't even know your parents' names?"
"Oh right, Francisco and Jose Lobo."
"Wait, your last name is Lobo?" Marc asked surprised.
"No, it's my parents last name. They didn't give it to me when I was born. The farmers wouldn't let them.
"But still Lobo? That not a bad name. You should have asked your Uncle T if you could keep it."
Trevor arched an eyebrow, "You like that name?" he smirked bouncing his pec at Marc .
Mare rolled his eyes getting up and walking to a dresser he pulled out a night shirt and shorts. "That's enough from you put on some close."
"What?! Don't you prefer me nude?" Trevor laughed.
Marc ignored him returning to the documents with renew vigor, but he couldn't stop his eyes from drifting up.
Instead of walking back to the bathroom Trevor dropped the towel a began putting on his shorts. He let his cock and balls swing proudly. Marc's mouth fell open. Trevor caught Marc looking and gave a knowing smile. Marc felt the blood rush to both head, Trevor had planned that.
Thankfully the rest of Trevor dressing wasn't as tantalizing. The two boys got to work shifting through papers, causing a bigger mess.
"There's nothing here!" Trevor raised his arms and slammed his hands on the bed. Papers flew into the air and floated down.
"Relax," Marc rested a hand on Trevor's shoulder. "We knew there was a chance we wouldn't find them."
Trevor shook of Marc's hand, pouting. "I know that."
"So, let's calm down. Maybe we overlooked something, or maybe there's another clue." Marc was grasping at straws, but he didn't think Trevor could give up right away. "okay." Trevor said quietly, "But I'm done for now I'm going to bed." The two boys collected the paper to file them away. Trevor stuck the folder under his arm and headed to the door. "I'll give your clothes back tomorrow."
Trevor felt an arm on his shoulder. Marc had a firm grip. "You don't have to leave. You can sleep with me if you want."
The bullman turned around wiggling his eyebrows.
Marc sighed, "Not like that. I just mean you can sleep in my bed."
Trevor clapped his hands. "I'll take it!"
Trevor hopped into bed, while Marc turned off the lights.
"Thanks for letting me stay." Trevor whispered as Marc climbed into bed. The two laid side by side staring up at the ceiling.
"No problem anytime you want...wait that sounds like I'm inviting you for sex. I didn't mean that. Well not that I don't want to you know I do but-
Trevor laughed cutting off Marc's rambling. "I know what you mean." He turned to face Marc, " I was a bit worried If I went back Ken and I might have ended up having sex. Not that it'd be bad, but I wouldn't want to do it when he's like that ya know."
Marc's mind wondered what it would be like to be a fly on the wall then.
"I wonder want got him so worked up." Trevor said
That ended Marc's fantasy as he came crashing back down. It was his turn to face his body to Trevor's.
"His parents."
"His parents?"
Marc nodded his head. "I've been helping you a lot and I was worried that maybe Ken would be wondering or even jealous. I've never heard him talk about his parents. What about you, you live with him. He ever say anything?"
Trevor mulled it over but a soft "No." was all that left his mouth. "Kinda funny-you know in the sad way-him and I talk about lots of things, but never our lives before coming here."
"Yeah well based on what he told me he didn't have it easy. His owners had him convinced his parents didn't want him." Marc regretted it the moment the words left his mouth. He wasn't sure if he should have shared that info or not. Trevor wasn't a blabbermouth, but it was sensitive information.
"That sounds rough, my owners tried to do something similar, but I was older than Ken by the time they were taken away."
"Wait, your parents were taken away?"
"Yeah didn't I say that before?"
"No, I mean it was clear you guys were separated, but I didn't know how. How were they taken away." Marc's head was spinning. Could it be possible?
"What?" Trevor asked.
"Like was there a van or something?" Marc went on.
"A van?" Trevor blinked. "I don't know I wasn't there when it happened."
"None of the other cowmen saw it?"
"We were all fighting cage matches. My parents and one of the owners stayed behind that day. I wondered why, but it I learned why after."
"You don't think he sold them, do you?" Marc gulped.
Trevor shrugged, "Seems likely, two high-tier Cowmen could fetch quite the price. But your uncle said they didn't get anything out of them."
"Okay so they both left, but then they escaped and started working at Milkem?" Something about that logic just didn't track with Marc though he breathed a sigh a relief. Where had his mind been headed? He thought it was possible Ken and Trevor's parents were kidnapped by the same people. Though their old farms weren't even close, or aware of the other. In fact, the only reason Uncle T learned about them was because of the anonymous tip he received.
How had Trevor's parents ended up at a Milkem party? It was too big a question for Marc to let go. He knew that if he wanted answers, He'd probably have to go back and get them.
Marc hoped to talk more to Trevor, but the bullman had drifted off to sleep. He got up and retrieved his phone. He could scroll the internet until he got tired. After a few minutes, of chuckling at pet videos for some reason the algorithm recommended beauty gurus to him. Marc remembered Weston's wife video from Ayden. He quickly went to his messages to rewatch the video. There were quite a few close ups of her face.
Marc made sure to stop and rewind it a couple of times. He even tried the trick of removing the makeup, hoping it'd be boring enough to make him fall asleep.
He mentally peeled back the layers, removing her bronzer. He imagined she looked the same. He tried the filled-in eyebrows. She had a bit of a cut above her left one. Removing her eyeshadow left her with beautiful gray eyes. Marc started to frown, He imagined placing her hair in a bun and putting a lab coat on her.
Marc blinked when he had the mental image he created. "No, there's no way." His stomach started to churn as a sick feeling grew. This lady. Marc knew this lady. Rather he had met her briefly before. It was the lady that had stopped him at the Milkem tour.
"What the hell is going on here?"
Marc dropped his phone on his face, "Ow!"
