Pairing: JC/Justin
Chapter 1
"JC, wake up JC. Josh!" Justin hovered over his sleeping friend's body, shaking him gently to try to awaken him.
"What time is it?" Came a groggy voice from the bed.
"It's 11:30. You need to get up. We have a choreography rehearsal in 45 minutes."
JC slowly rose off of the bed. His chin rested on his chest as he stared at the floor. The dream had occurred again. The millionth time he had dreamt it, and again he had awakened before he could make his move.
"JC, you're staring off into space. Come on, get dressed. We have to meet the guys in 30 minutes."
"Huh, oh okay." Was the only reply from the zoned out member of NSYNC.
"JC, is something wrong? You look extremely tired. Are you sick?" Justin rushed up to his friend's side, then sat down next to him on the twin bed.
"No, I'm fine. Just exhausted from all of the work we've been doing lately."
"If you're sick we need to know."
"I know that. I'm just tired that's all. I promise."
"Okay, I believe you."
Justin stood and went back into the bathroom to continue getting ready. He took forever when it came to getting dressed, and no matter what they were doing...he had to be perfect. Not that he minded taking all the time in the world, for he was a born perfectionist.
JC had often asked why it took Justin so long to get dressed and do his hair, but his only reply was that he had someone who he wanted to look right for. For the longest time JC knew it was Britney, or at least he thought he knew.
"Justin, do you know the rest of the plans for today?" JC asked, coming to stand in the doorframe of the small hotel bathroom.
"Uh, no actually I don't. Lance was going to fill us in on the rest of the plans when we meet the guys in 15 minutes. So, we should be finding out soon."
"Thanks." JC answered, returning to his small duffle bag.
After shuffling through his entire wardrobe, he finally found something suitable to wear to a rehearsal. Which was his favorite pair of sweat pants and his old Mickey Mouse Club sweatshirt. Justin came out of the bathroom, and started to laugh hysterically.
"What?" JC asked, looking down at himself.
"You still have that thing? I can't believe it!" Justin answered finally starting to regain composure.
"Yeah, so what. MMC was my first big break. I kept a lot of things from it." JC replied, with a slight angry tone of voice.
"The MMC was my big break too, but I don't still have the sweatshirt they gave me on my first day a member. Much less could I still fit into it."
"Well, I haven't changed as much as you have Curly. I still have my figure!" JC responded teasingly.
"Oh yeah, well how come I'm the one who is still called the cute one?" Justin replied continuing the joke.
"Okay, that's it. You asked for it!" JC ran up and toppled Justin to the floor.
They started to wrestle like pigs, rolling and wallowing all over the carpet. Justin tickled JC over his abs, which caused JC to laugh uncontrollably, and become the weak and vulnerable one. Justin took the opportunity to roll over on top of JC.
"Well, what do you know? Look like the tables have turned. Now look who's gettin' it!" Justin said with a joking tone of voice.
"Get (laugh) off (laugh) me (laugh) this (laugh) instant!"
"And why should I?" Justin asked stopping for a brief second.
"Because I said so," JC answered, starting to finally catch his breath.
"Who died and made you God?" Justin asked as he began tickling JC again.
They laughed and joked for fifteen minutes. Finally JC was able to roll over, hence putting Justin underneath him.
"Hey, who gave you the right to roll back over?"
"I did." JC answered before starting to tickle Justin underneath the kid. JC knew that was Justin's most vulnerable spot, and sure enough before you could have counted to ten Justin was about to go into a laughing fit.
"Stop! Stop. Oh god. Stop. Stop!" Justin begged.
"No, I like making you suffer!" JC answered trying to mock Arnold Schwarzenegger
voice.
"Why you dangerous man!" Justin said continuing the Terminator joke.
"Hasta La Vista Baby!" JC answered.
He continued to tickle the younger man, stopping just so he could catch his own breath.
Then all of a sudden, JC was up and running to the bathroom, slamming the door behind him.
"JC, where are you going?" Justin asked breathless as he ran to the shut door.
"I'll be out in a minute, just had to use the bathroom really bad." JC lied, he had seen his hard-on, and didn't want Justin to see it. He was also unsure of if he'd poked Justin with it.
Justin walked back over to the bed, and looked down at the slight tent in his pants.
`Did JC feel something? Did I press up against him? Oh God, now he probably thinks I'm a pervert!' Justin's thoughts overcame him. He'd known he liked JC for a while, but thought that JC was out of range. He acted so straight; he was straight. There was no doubt about it. JC was a straight man. He knew that, but oh God how he wished he could change it. He wanted JC so bad. He wanted everything about him. His body, his soul, his mind, his true and unwavering love.
JC sat on the bathroom floor. Had Justin felt anything? Had he seen anything? Was there any reason to be upset? Of course there was, Justin had probably felt something. He must of. Justin was so close to JC already, he didn't want to lose his friendship. The thoughts of their friendship through the years flooded his memory, the dam broken.
-----------------------------------------
"Come on Josh, follow me!" Justin yelled as he ran down the alley.
JC followed close in tow and let the thirteen-year-old guide him to an unknown place. He knew they were behind the studio where they filmed MMC, but didn't know where they were headed. Justin continued to lead the sixteen-year-old to his secret place of desolation.
"Okay, we're here!" Justin piped up.
"Justin, what is this place?" JC asked feeling the old wooden furniture in the abandoned room.
"This is the old warehouse where Mr. Disney sparked his imagination. This is the warehouse where he would sit and think of story plots, theme park rides, the whole works."
"Awesome. How did you find it?"
"Well, one day after taping I was kind of depressed. I was really missing my friends back in Tennessee that day, so I went for a walk. I kind of stumbled across this place accidentally."
"How do you know this is the place where Walt did all of those things you spoke about?"
"Oh come on JC? Haven't you ever watched Vault Disney?"
"Uh, no. Why, should I?"
"Yeah. I started watching it when I was a really little kid. They show the old Mickey Mouse Club on there, you know the black and white one?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, they also have Walt Disney doing a lot of talking. He did all sorts of things in here. Notice the furniture. Circa 1950's. Well, I recognized the place from an old documentary on the Idea for Walt Disney World. He moved up here after finishing Disneyland. I think he liked Orlando for some reason."
"Who would of thought...my knowledge of Disney would be out beaten by a thirteen year old," JC responded teasingly.
------------------------------------------------
JC remembered that warehouse so vividly. After Justin had showed it to him, they always went up there to talk and enjoy each other's company. He missed it so much. He didn't even know if it was there anymore. Then another memory came across his mind.
------------------------------------------------
"JC, um, how do say this. I think I wet the bed." Justin said as he slowly walked into JC's room.
Justin was spending the night with JC, and felt extremely embarrassed. He couldn't believe it had happened. He hadn't wet the bed since he was a toddler.
"Justin, what happened?" JC said as he got out of bed and headed to the linen closet for some new sheets.
"I don't know; I woke up feeling wet. I had a strange dream...it was really weird. I think it had something to do with sex," Justin said sounding really uncomfortable.
"Well, the good news is you didn't wet the bed. The bad news is, you've officially started puberty."
"What do you mean I've officially started puberty?"
"Has your mom or dad ever told you about what a `wet dream' is?" JC asked the younger man.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Justin replied, starting at JC.
"Well I think you just had your first one," JC answered calmly.
"Is it a bad thing?"
"No, of course not. It just means you can now be turned on," JC told him blankly.
"Turned on, in what way?"
"Sexually. You're body has now started to react to your sexual desires."
"Oh, so it's nothing to be ashamed of?"
"Hell no. It happens to everyone. You just kind of have to live with them for a while, they eventually become fewer and fewer."
"Oh, is there anything I can do to prevent them, or make them stop?"
"Nope, you just got to live with `em."
----------------------------------------------------
He had helped Justin so much that night. Oh how he wished Justin could help him understand his feelings right now. He couldn't let himself understand them. Why was that? Was there anything to be ashamed of? He didn't know. It'd been to long since he'd fully understood himself. Oh how he wished he could accept and understand himself as gay, then things might work out for the better.
Justin sat on the bed staring at the floor. When he heard the bathroom door open and shut he turned and saw JC's big, dark blue eyes staring at him. JC walked over to the bed, and sat down next to him.
"We need to talk Curly." JC said, sounding serious.
"About what Josh?" Justin asked, starting to get a little uncomfortable.
"You need to tickle me more often!" JC said totally changing his tone of voice into the playful and happy one Justin knew and loved so well.
"Oh, is that it. Well then we'll have to start fitting these little wrestling parties into my schedule. Call Lisa and make an appointment," Justin said laughing.
"Who's Lisa?" JC asked, looking quite confused.
"Oh, Lisa. She's just my personal assistant. You've never met her. Huh?"
"Uh, no. What's her last name?"
"Frank. Lisa Frank."
"Lisa Frank, where have I heard that before. Lisa Frank, oh Lisa Frank. You have a girly planner?"
"Well, the one I have right now was a gift from a fan, so yep. Lisa Frank is my personal calendar woman."
"Ha, Ha, Ha! Justin you crack me up?"
"What would you do without me?" Justin asked batting his eyelashes like Marilyn Monroe.
"I don't know. I guess I'd have another dork as my best friend," JC answered smiling evilly
"Dork, who you callin' a dork?" Justin asked as he got up off the bed and turned to face JC.
Before JC could answer, there was a knock at the door.
"JC? Justin? You guys in there? We're about to leave. Come on guys. We've got rehearsal in 5 minutes. If you guys don't open this door on the count of three I'm going to bust it down. 1...2...thr..."
"Hello Lance," JC said as he abruptly opened the door.
"Oh, so you are in here. Come on guys. We've got to go. Darren is going to have our heads if we're not there on time." Lance told JC and Justin as he placed his hands on his hips.
"Okay, hold your horses. We're comin'!" Justin said as he finished tying his shoe.
"Finally!" Lance said as he backed out of the doorway.
"What were you two doing in there?" Chris said as soon as he saw Justin and JC.
"We were just horsin' around. Nothing abnormal," JC answered Chris with a slight annoyed tint to it.
"Well, you two have got to start horsin' around on other people's time. We've been waiting for 10 minutes." Lance said sternly as soon as he rejoined the group.
"Chill out man, they were just having some fun!" Joey responded, stepping in for two of his best friends.
"Fun is not to happen when there's work to be done!" Lance protested.
"Well, maybe if he had some fun we wouldn't be stuck working all the time!" Justin whispered to JC.
The five men left the hotel building, piled into a limo, and headed for their New York City rehearsal hall. They knew it was going to be a long day, but no one knew that it was going to turn out like it did.
6 long and tiring hours later
"Well, wasn't that a lot of fun." Joey said sarcastically as they waited for their limo to come out of the garage.
"Yeah, why do we pay a man to yell and make us work our asses off for 6 hours ?" Chris added, stepping back out of the rain.
"Darren is here to help us learn our moves. There's nothing else to it. He is a choreographer. That's his job. All choreographers are the same. They make people dance and work like there's no tomorrow."
"Why are you so defensive of the man, Scoop? He made you work the hardest of us all. After all, you are the one who doesn't get the moves right until the night before the first concert!" Joey teased.
"I wouldn't be talking Joey. He yelled at you to keep focused at least 30 times!" Justin chimed in, slapping Joey on the back.
"Well, what do you know `Mr. Perfect'? You always get your moves right!" Chris defended Joey, then realized he was up for the next teasing.
"Don't ignore the truth Chris, we don't. We know you'll always be girlfriendless; just like you`ll always be the one to trip onstage!" JC replied, joking.
"Okay, that's it. You two are going to pay for it now!" Chris yelled at the top of his lungs to Justin and JC.
"What are you gonna do to us, Chrissy? Sing us to death?" Justin turned towards Chris and teased him even more, making Chris even more angry.
By now the limo had arrived, and Lance and Joey were already inside
"Nope, I'm going to make ya'll walk home." Chris said evilly as he jumped into the limo, locking the door behind him.
Before Justin and JC could understand what Chris had said, the limo was driving off up the street.
"Great, now we have to go wait at the curb in the pouring rain for a taxi," Justin said as he and JC headed down the alley to 42nd Street.
Well? What do you think? I know there was no sex in it or anything, but there is not going to be for a while. I want to thank everyone that wrote me e-mails with suggestions, criticism, or feedback. Please continue writing me. I love to hear from you!
