Chapter 15

The remaining members of the Fellowship sat around a large table in a dusky room with King Theoden. Aragorn had news to share with them from what he had seen on his journey to Helm's Deep.

"My eyes did not deceive me. I saw a great host on their way here. They come directly from Isengard. They bared the mark of the white hand. Saruman's mark."

Theoden let out deep sigh, thinking over what he was being told. "A great host you say?"

Aragorn nodded. "All Isengard is emptied?"

"I'm guessing that is a bad thing?" said Justin.

"There are ten thousand strong at least," answered the Ranger looking tired and haggard.

"Ten thousand?!" cried four voices at once.

"It is an army bred for a single purpose: to destroy the world of men. They will be here by tomorrows nightfall."

Theoden squared his shoulders and looked at Aragorn determined. "Let them come."

Rising from his seat quickly he strode outside. The company looked at each other resolute. The King was determined on defending his people from this stronghold. They got following him out of the room.

Theoden started giving out orders as soon as they caught up with him on the stone walkway. "I want every man and strong lad able to bear arms, to be ready for battle by nightfall. We will cover the causeway and the gate from above. No army has ever breached the deeping wall or set foot inside the Hornburg."

Gimli sputtered incredulously. "This is not a rabble of mindless Orcs. These are Uruk-hai. Their armor is thick and their shields broad."

Boromir nodded. "Gimli is right my lord. Uruk-hai or not just any enemy that could be defeated easily."

Theoden gave them a superior look. "I have fought many wars. I know how to defend my own keep. They will break upon this fortress like water on rock. Saruman's hordes will pillage and burn. We've seen it before. Crops can be resown. Homes rebuilt. Within these walls, we will outlast them."

Justin raised his hand. Theoden and everyone looked at him with peculiar expressions. Justin put his arm down blushing slightly. "Sorry about the hand raising. We had to do it in school. And now I'm babbling so I'll just get to the point. What about bombs?"

"Sorry bummbs?" questioned Theoden, slowly pronouncing the word.

"No bombs. You know explosives. Can't they just blow up the outer wall?" asked Justin.

King Theoden shook his head. "No there is no way. The walls of this keep are impenetrable."

"If you say so," said Justin, look very doubtful.

Aragorn started to look highly frustrated at the King's stance to not heed their warnings. "They do not come to destroy Rohan's crops or villages. They come to destroy its people. Down to the last child!"

"What would you have me do? Look at my men. Their courage hangs by a thread. If this is to be our end, then I would have them make such an end as to be worthy of remembrance!" said King Theoden angrily.

"Send out riders, my lord. You must call for aid," pleaded Aragorn.

"And who will come. Elves? Dwarves? We are not so lucky in our friends as you. The old alliances are dead."

Boromir puffed up his chest importantly. "Gondor will answer."

Theoden gave him a withering look that silenced Boromir cold. "Gondor? Where was Gondor when the Westfold fell? Where was Gondor when our enemies closed in around us? Where was Gon.. No, we are alone," he said icily.

Theoden walked away from them his cape billowing behind them. Justin rolled his eyes. "And these are days of our lives," he said dramatically.

"What?" he questioned, seeing all the raised eyebrows in his direction. "Oh come on, you guys know he was being a tad bit over dramatic," Justin defended.

"Fool," muttered Boromir, shaking his head.

Justin chose not to respond to that. They watched King Theoden as he ordered the women and children to evacuate into the caves. The gate was secured and soldiers raced about preparing themselves for all out war. Gimli growled low in throat his anger building up.

"What a foolish man! He will get all of them killed."

"At least we have till tomorrow night to prepare," voiced Boromir. "But even that is not enough time."

Voices began to shout, "Go to caves!" Everyone was not going into the caves however. Men and boys women's Husbands and Sons were being taken away from their Wives and Mothers. They were given a brief chance to say goodbye before they were armed with weapons.

"Farmers, farriers, stable boys. These are no soldiers," muttered Aragorn.

"Most have seen too many winters," said Gimli.

"Or too few. They're frightened. I can see it in their eyes," said Legolas. Justin held his hand tightly feeling comfort in the other man's grip. Legolas turned to Aragorn.

"And they should...three hundred against then thousand!" he said in Elvish.

"They have a better chance of defending themselves here than Edoras," replied Aragorn also in Elvish.

Leoglas looked angry. "They cannot win this fight Aragorn. They are going to die!"

Justin was about to say something to calm the Elf down but Aragorn had had enough. He rounded on Legolas and fixed him with a hard stare. "Then I shall die as one of them," he said, spinning on his heel and marching off.

'When did my life become a template for an episode of Dawson's Creek. All I need now is for James Van Derbeak to come climbing up the wall on a ladder,' he thought.

Legolas made a move as if to go after him, but Gimli stopped him. "Let him go lad. He needs time."

"Theoden is sentencing his own people to death. How can he think this stronghold will hold against the entire forces of Isengard?" said Legolas.

Boromir ran a hand through his hair. "Theoden is doing what he thinks is right. He is King and there is nothing we can say that will sway him from his decision."

Justin looked at one boy brandishing a sword that looked way too big for him. He sucked in a sharp breath. The boy couldn't have any older than fourteen or fifteen years old. There was no way he would be able to hold off the Orcs and Uruk-hai for a long time. He would probably never live to see another day after the battle.

"Has Theoden gone crazy! How can mere children fight against those monsters? I can see if they had some semi automatic rifles or some rapid fire machine guns, but all they have is swords!" said Justin.

Gimli, Legolas, and Boromir looked curiously at him. "What are these things you speak of?" asked Gimli.

Justin paused trying to think of a way to describe guns. "Ummm...Where I come from we have weapons deadlier than swords. You could kill someone with them without even having to be close. We call them guns. They are more deadlier than bows, arrows, and swords combined."

They gaped at him. Boromir looked at him strangely. "Surely, I would think a place that needed such weapons must be a terrible place to live."

Justin shook his head quickly. "No no. It's not bad really. It's just that humans have been around for like a long time. We have become very advanced. We've come a long way from bows and arrows."

Gimli huffed indignant. "Surely, not more advanced than the Dwarves."

"Humans have traveled to moon, invented traveling machines that could go from here to Rivendell in a few hours, and have cures for most diseases and sicknesses. Trust me Gimli, I think we're a little ahead of the Dwarves," Justin said as if talking to a kid.

"I would like to see your world. Its sounds like a wondrous place if what you say is true," said Gimli.

Justin nodded a sad smiled playing on his face. "It truly is. There is a saying where I come from, 'You don't miss something until it's gone'. I think I really understand the full meaning of that phrase now."

Legolas squeezed Justin's hand, sending a wave of comfort through him. Justin smiled at him in thanks.

"I hope we win tomorrow," said Boromir softly.

"We will," said Justin smiling. "We're the good guys. We have to have a happily ever after. Its like law or something." Justin paused, thinking over what he just said. "Although now that I think about it. There was no happy ending for Harry Potter in the Goblet of Fire."

Legolas raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to say we won't make it through tomorrow."

Justin shrugged smiling goofily. "I don't know. I make 'pop culture references'. But I'm not psychic. Although if you count that time that I knew Lance was going to get the shock of his life for sticking that fork in the electrical socket..."

"By the Valar do you ever make sense!" said Gimli exasperated.

"I do make sense. You just don't know what I'm talking about," Justin said, lifting his chin haltingly.

"Do you even know what you're talking about?" asked Boromir with a teasing smile.

Justin put his hand over his heart pretending to be hurt. "Thou woundest me with thoust words of cruelty."

Legolas wrapped his arms around Justin's waist from behind him. He rested his chin on Justin's shoulder. "Its not that we don't think you know what you're talking about. Its just we don't understand half of the things you say."

They laughed at the pout that formed on Justin's face. He looked around at their laughing faces with a glint in his eyes. "That's it laugh it up. You know what they say revenge is a bitch."

He closed his eyes as a pang went through his heart. He half expected JC to come out of nowhere and finish off the line they always threw at each other. "But payback is motherfucker," Justin said softly. A forlorn smile crossed his face his homesickness hitting him again.

A smile came back to his face as Legolas gave him a loving look. The kind of look that never failed to turn his insides into mush. Justin might be an international pretty boy where he came from, but Legolas without a doubt have men and women drooling if he went to his world.

They stayed discussing Theoden's decision and their slim chances for hours. They retired for the night after eating a late small dinner. Justin and Legolas lay together in one of the rooms that had been provided for them. They were both awake thinking about what tomorrow would bring. Their chances of making it through the battle were obviously against them. They just had to hope that Gandalf would make it back in time with the reinforcements that he had promised them.

Justin turned over and looked at Legolas. "You know I love you right?"

Legolas nodded a light smile on his face. "I love you too."

"Las, I want you to promise me that if I die tomorrow, don't be sad. I know that Elves can die from great grief and I don't want that for you."

Legolas narrowed his eyes. "Your are not going to die. We are going to be together forever. There is no way the Iluvatar would be so cruel as to bring you here, then just let death take you from me."

Justin sighed. "Las --"

Legolas shushed him by claiming his lips with his own. Justin forgot what he was even going to say. It didn't even matter to him anymore. As long as he was with Legolas nothing mattered. Legolas peeled off the clothes that he slept in. Justin was doing the same matching Legolas's own quickened pace with his own. He groaned low in his throat as he felt Legolas's erection rubbing against his own. He broke from the kiss smiling sexily at Legolas's disappointed look.

"Luv what -- "

Smiling Justin kissed his way down Legolas's chest. He took off the pants that were covering what he wanted at the moment. He looked up and felt his breath catch in his throat. Legolas gazed down at him with a glazed over look of lust in his eyes. Justin smiled wickedly and gripped Legolas's hard cock taking it deeply into his mouth.

The blond Elf let out an orgasmic groan that was probably heard from outside their door. Justin wasn't a pro at giving blowjobs, but he guessed he was doing pretty well by the look on his lover's face. Legolas had to bite his lip to prevent himself from crying out. Justin looked up into Legolas blue eyes and winked. Legolas didn't have time to puzzle this over before Justin quickened his pace. Legolas thew his head back letting the feeling of the warm mouth on his cock overwhelm him. He grunted loudly as his orgasm hit him. Justin felt the warm blast of cum hit the back of his throat. He instinctively started to swallow the thick cream. Some of it trickled down his chin. He stuck out his tongue and licked the remainder of the escaped cum of his face.

He grinned cheekily at Legolas's look of bliss. "Ummm... finger licking good. Not really, but close."

Justin stretched his body out on top of Legolas. They shared a deep kiss their tongues dancing in each other's mouth. Legolas smiled dreamily. "That was incredible."

Justin playfully rolled his eyes. "That was kind of cliche Blondie. Next you'll be pulling out a pack of cigarettes to smoke." As usual he was met with a blank look. "Ignore that sentence Las and save the question for when we have a lot of free time."

Legolas nodded his mind still not processing at its normal pace. He gave Justin a wicked smile that mirrored the one that the singer had given him. "Its your turn Luv."

Justin smiled knowing this was going to be a long and very unforgettable night. He moaned loudly as Legolas did things to his body that he had never thought possible. It was long in the night before they finished. Justin knew that this night was special. He and Legolas hadn't had sex or fucked. They had made love. They had shared and connected in a way that he had always wanted to experience with someone. He knew without a doubt that Legolas was the man he wanted to spend his life with. No matter what he wanted the blonde at his side. Justin went to sleep with a smile on his face.

"Justin."

"Justin."

"Justin wake up!"

Justin opened his eyes slowly. Last night with Legolas had taken a lot out of him. A smile came to his face as he remembered last night. He wiped his eyes getting the blurriness out of his vision.

"Justin are you deaf! Come on get up!"

He let out an 'Omph' as something large landed on his stomach pushing the air out of him. Twinkling blue eyes looked at him. The sleepiness disappeared as Justin got a good look at the person.

"JC!"

JC smiled widely. "I haven't forgotten my name."

"But But what are you doing here?" sputtered Justin.

JC frowned and stood up. "I'm here to pick you up. Its Saturday," he said slowly as if speaking to a six-year-old.

Justin jaw dropped as he looked at JC and around his surroundings. He wasn't in the room he and Legolas spent the night in. He was lying on his own bed. He was his own room. In his own home. Quickly he looked beside him his hands spreading out as if looking for an invisible something.

"Where is Legolas!?" he asked frantically.

JC's frown deepened at the mention of the name. "Who is Legolas? And what is wrong with you? You're acting like Linda Blair from the Exorcist."

Justin felt like he was going to cry. He wasn't in Middle-Earth. Legolas wasn't here. Oh God. He moaned in his mind.

Justin looked up at JC. "Josh how long was I gone? How long have I been missing?"

JC raised an eyebrow. "Justin you haven't been missing or gone. You just filmed Cry Me a River yesterday. Remember me and the guys were supposed to meet you here to go out and celebrate."

"You mean I haven't been gone for months?" questioned Justin.

Josh shook his head slowly. "Man, that must have been some dream you were having. I would like to know what brand of crack you are on because I find this whole situation very amusing," laughed JC.

Justin wasn't even paying attention to him. "It was all a dream," he muttered softly.

Dummm Dummmm. Find out next week what happened to Justin. I know ya'll(I'm from Texas I can get away with using the word) are probably going 'What the hell!' ::Sigh:: the joy's of cliffhangers.
