Gay

Hey lads. I'm back again :) Here's the next part of Dreams of an Angel. Hope you all enjoy it! Any comments or suggestions, well, you know how to contact me. Sorry for any bad grammars boys and girl. C'mon! Nobody's perfect!! :)

Before the show, onwards to the boring part! Legal matters! Hehehe. You can press 'fast-forward' now.

Well, first of all, this story, as you will certainly find out soon, is TOTALLY fictional. So! If any of you truly believe in it... dude, I'm worried about you. Secondly! None of the guys in the Backstreet Boys are gay! (No matter how hard I wished it :P). But nobody say we couldn't dream it, heh heh. Thirdly, Warren Worthington is actually a character from Marvel Comics, X-men known as Angel or recently Archangel. Okay fine, I admit it. I'm bored and I am making a pathetic attempt to make life a lil' bit interesting. Its not like I'm gonna publish it or something. What else to talk about hmm? Oh, there may be some adult gay scenes in this story. Unlike my brother, I don't mind writing naughty stuff ;) so! If you're underage, naughty, naughty! I can only ask you to go away, but I cannot do anything else to stop you from reading on anyway. Hell! I've been sneaking into the internet to watch gay porns since I was 13! So, if your parents or whoever responsible for you catch you, don't say I didn't warned you. However, if you're homophobic... well maybe I can seduce you enough to turn you around heh heh. I do so love a challenge ;)

Anyway, enough talk. Any comments or boos or suggestion or whatever, just sent it to the same address as in NNTs, goldenknightuk@yahoo.co.uk . Yeah, we shared the same address. Don't ask. Long story.

Okay then! On to the show. Now, don't be shy now. If you got any comments or suggestions, just drop me a note. You do the request, and I'll do the show.

Andy

That evening, before dinner, Warren knocked on Nick's door again.

"Come in!"

Opening the door, he found Nick lounging on the bed, chatting happily on his mobile phone.

"Whoops, sorry. I'll come back later." Said Warren.

"No, it's okay Warren. Come on in." Nick called out cheerfully before returning to his conversation. "What? Oh, I'm cool. It's only Warren... Mmm-hmm... Warren, Brian says hi."

"Hi Brian!" Said Warren as he jumped into Nick's bed, folding his wings neatly as he did.

"Warren says hi, B... Mmm-hmm... Oh he's doing great! He does feel a little bit blue from time to time however..." Nick grinned at Warren as he said that, earning him a smack behind the head from Warren as the result.

"Smart-ass." Warren murmured under his breath. He was surprised when Nick handed him the phone.

"Brian wants to speak with you." Said Nick.

"Hello?" said Warren.

"Hey Warren. 'Sup?" Brian cheerful voice greeted him from the other end. "Nick is not terrorizing everyone over there right?"

"Nope, he's been a perfect gentleman all the time. You should be proud of him." Warren grinned.

"See? I told you so!!" Nick turned around from styling his hair and yelled so that Brian could hear him.

"Yeah right. Cover him all you want, Warren. I know Nick better than he knows himself." Brian replied. "But, honestly now, Warren. How's Nick doing? Is he still having all those headaches and stuff?"

"No, he's doing fine, Brian. He hadn't got any headaches since he got here. I guess the environment here suited his needs well. And if he does have any attacks, well, Hank lives here too so he'll be in good hand. So don't worry."

"I'm glad to hear that." Brian sighed in relief. "I admit, I was worried when I heard what happened back in LA."

"It was probably stress related." Not having any other choices, Warren lied. "So how have you been doing? Had a good time with your wife?"

"A great time. Hey, AJ convinced me to hold a barbecue party in a couple of weeks. It'd be cool if you and Jubilee can come along and join us!"

"I don't know about that. It's your party. I don't want to intrude." Warren replied.

"Nonsense! I think you're a cool guy. Come over and I'll introduce you to Leigh Ann."

"I'll think about it. Where are the others anyway?"

"Scattered all over the place." Said Brian. "Kevin is taking a moment of absolute privacy with his wife, with a standing order not to disturb him for a week or two unless it's absolutely important. AJ is wandering around here and there and Howie... hmm... I don't know much about his whereabout. I heard that he's organizing a rally or something concerning that stupid anti-mutant organization of his. I don't know. I don't keep track of him that much. Speaking of which, AJ told me what happened between you and Howie last time at the airport. I'm so sorry if that bother you, Warren."

"It's okay, Brian. Everyone got their own opinion." Said Warren.

"Well, I got no problem with mutants anyway, and so does Kevin, AJ and Nick, so you don't have to worry about us getting worked up like Howie about your stance and support on mutants." Said Brian.

"Thanks Brian. I appreciate that." Warren smiled, feeling relieved. In the room, Nick walked out of the bathroom, whistling to himself softly.

"It is true then, that you support mutants?" Brian asked curiously.

"Yeah. I don't belief in any kind of discrimination." Said Warren. "People don't choose to be mutants. They just are."

Near him, Nick looked up at him and smiled quietly.

"You're right." Said Brian. "So, did you meet any mutants? Do you know any? How are they like? Is it true that they like to kill us normal humans and take over the world? Like that Magneto guy?"

"Whoa there, Brian! Slow down." Warren laughed. "You'll choke yourself by asking too many questions one day."

Brian chuckled softly too.

"Sorry. Just curious." He replied. "But seriously, are they all like what the words on the streets makes them? Dangerous and stuff?"

"Not all mutants are bad, Brian. There are some who risked their life fighting to protect the world from those evil mutants." Warren explained patiently.

"Hmm... Never thought about that." Brian murmured softly. "I guess people only see what they wanted to see. Wow, I think it'd be cool to meet some mutants."

"Well, you may be closer to them than you think." Said Warren.

He looked up when Nick jumped into the bed beside him. He almost gasped when Nick playfully ran his hands though feathers of his wings lightly.

"Yeah. I guess most mutants would stay low most of the time." Said Brian. At that moment, Nick's hand accidentally brushed against Warren's side, and Warren yelped slightly, causing his wings to quiver.

"Warren? You okay?" asked Brian curiously.

Nick laughed softly as he discovered the ticklish spot and Warren glared at him balefully as he spoke to Brian.

"Nick tickled me!" He complaint. At the other end of the phone, Brian raised his eyebrow in wonderment before frowning thoughtfully, barely aware of the wheels turning in his mind every time he is presented with a puzzle. Nick has been acting weird ever since he met Warren and there are several possibilities he could think of to explain that.

"Try poking his belly. He'll freak out." Brian said absently and was surprised as he heard Nick yelled out followed by Warren's laughter.

Then came the sound of the phone passing hand and soon enough, Nick's voice rang out.

"You'll pay for telling that to him, Brian!" said Nick before yelping again as Warren poked him. "Aaaah! You'll pay for this, Brian!"

Brian laughed at last as he shook his head. But at the same time, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall in together forming a picture. Nick's weird reactions and behavior whenever Warren is near, his sudden decision to accompany Warren to Westchester, and now, they are playing tickling contest with each other... a smile grew on Brian's lips.

"Nick, you little devil!" Brian yelled as he laughed into the phone. "How could you kept this from me!!"

"Aaaarrggh!! Warren stop... haha!!... Warren, stop it!" Nick was too busy fending himself off Warren's attack to listen. "Stop it, you stupid Bird-Boy! Brian! I gotta go! I'm being attack by an overgrown parrot and I'm losing!"

Bird-boy? Overgrown parrot? What the hell is he talking about?

"But...!"

"I'll call ya later! Bye Brian. Give a kiss to Leigh Ann for me!" Nick yelled into the phone one last time before hanging up.

Brian sighed and laughed softly to himself before leaning heavily against the sofa he's been sitting on. He shook his head in disbelief. Oh all the people that he knew... Nick? Gay? How could he miss that after all these years??

He chuckled again and stood to fix himself a glass of martini. Nick and Warren. A famous boyband singer and a multi-billionaire. Brian has to admit; they make a cute couple.

Leigh Ann is gonna die laughing when she hears this.

Dinner passes by quickly with no notable incident. Everyone was in a cheerful mood, although a couple of people were missing. Storm, Logan, Hank and the professor took the Blackbird and flew off to Muire Island upon the request of Moira McTarggart and the rest of the team staying there. Betsy was long gone to London. Remy and Rogue went off to town for a nice quiet dinner date, so the only people left were a handful but cheerful group, struggling hard to eat the poorly attempted chicken curry and rice (first time experimental cooking try-out) by ze chef Bobby.

"Scott, if I eat another bite of this... I'm gonna cry," Jean whispered softly and Nick almost choked as he fought hard not to laugh.

"Be strong, dear. Tonight is Bobby's last night of cooking, so be strong." Scott murmured before grimacing as he forced himself to take another bite of the food.

"Bobby! Are you sure you cooked it right??!" Warren grumbled sorely. His face was sweaty and he drank his fourteenth glass of water. "How much spices did you put in this? Are you trying to kill us??"

"I'm beginning to suspect the real reason why the professor, Remy and the others took off today." Jubilee winced as she pushed her plate away. "I think I'm gonna be sick..."

"I told you guys, it was supposed to be delicious!" Bobby protested before grimacing, as he tasted the food. "I followed the recipe exactly from the cook book! What do you think Nick? Is it okay?"

"Uh..." Nick could only stuttered stupidly as his mind whirled to sugarcoat his answer.

"Speechless huh? I know how you feel. Here, lemme answer it for you," said Warren. "Bobby! This is worst than Remy's mind-exploding gumbo!"

"I know what's these all about. It's revenge isn't it Bobby? Nick, I and the rest whooped your ass good in baseball just now." Said Jubilee.

"The hell you did! You cheated! Jean used her telekinesis to slow down the ball. Don't even try denying it Jeanie. I was watching you." Bobby said heatedly.

"Why Bobby! I'm hurt!" Jean answered as she fought hard not to grin. "I never cheated."

"Well, whatever the reason is, I'm declaring that this dinner is a lost cause." Said Warren. "All in favor for ordering pizza, raise your hand!"

Six hands shot up immediately, including Bobby's.

"Good. I'll get the money. Scott, you order the pizza." Said Warren before glaring at Bobby. "And you! You'll take care the dishes."

"Aww..." Bobby groaned.

"Don't worry, Bobby. I'll help you. Just remember. You owe me a favor after this." Said Jean.

"Hey! Is there's anything going on tonight?" said Jubilee.

"Nope. With half the team gone, there's no point scheduling for any training session." Said Scott as he walked to the phone.

"Hallelujah!" Jubilee cheered. "I'll get some movies. Anyone up for adventure, comedy or romance?"

"What about a little bit of everything?" Jean replied as she carries some of the dishes to the kitchen.

That night, a couple of hours later, Nick sat at by the window of his room, watching the night in silence. The others are still in the sitting room watching a movie. But Nick was in no such mood.

He looked down and stared at the soft pure white feather he got from AJ in his hands. Caressing it gently, he smiled at the softness of it. His thoughts turned to his object of obsession of the month... Warren. The codename 'Archangel' suited him in more ways than one for some reasons.

Leaning back against the side of the window, he sighed and stares up at the moon above, never ceasing his caress on the feather... the only bit of Warren he could keep... and cherish forever whenever he wanted to. If only he could gather enough courage to tell Warren how he felt.

The past hours with Warren have been fun. He truly loved it when Warren smiled and laughed. Even his grin is enough to brighten the day. Absently, he focused his attention to the link he shared with Warren. He also noticed something else today. The dark, brooding presence in Warren's mind that has been there in the past days is not there anymore... not since this morning. Instead, feeling Warren's mind superficially and lightly, Nick could only feel contentment... even joy... and something else... Nick immediately withdrew his mind off the link. No... he'll not snoop around Warren's mind too much. Everyone deserves some privacy in their life.

A knock on the door nearly startled him off the window and he immediately withdrew himself from it and turned around to put the feather back into his bag.

"Come in."

The door opened and Warren came in.

'Well, well, speak of the devil.' Nick smiled as he settles himself back by the window.

"Hey." Warren smiled as he joined Nick by the window. "Mind if I join you?"

"Not up for the movie, huh?" said Nick as he shifted aside to make some space.

"I've seen it already." Warren answered as he settled beside Nick, folding his wings carefully so that it wouldn't take up too much space. "How are you coping here? You're not too bored I hope."

"No. Quite the opposite." Said Nick as he turned to face Warren, leaning against the window frame as he did. "I like it here. Nice company, nice friends. I'm learning to cope being a mutant as well as having fun."

"I'm glad to hear that. I was quite worried last time when you were so depressed about it," said Warren.

"Naah. I think I'm getting used to it." Nick replied as he smiled shyly. "Thanks to you."

"You're welcome." Said Warren before turning his gaze out into the night.

Nick continues to look at him, silently marveling the smooth, well-chiseled face. The moonlight reflecting off his hair seems to make those golden locks glow slightly in the dark. Even as he stares at the night sky, his lips pursed slightly like a pouting boy, making him looks even more adorable. How could anyone retain the looks of an innocent boy no matter how many years passes by?

"You okay?"

Nick blinked and flushed slightly as he suddenly became aware of those gorgeous blue eyes gazing at him curiously. Suddenly, he became fully aware that he was staring at the guy. Beating himself inwardly, he forced himself to looks somewhere else. Luckily he can control his emotions from leaking out and finds it way into Warren's... or leaking through the link and... Well, that's the major downside of being empathically linked to the man he got a crushed on. Luckily Xavier taught him how to mask the link so that the other person wouldn't be able to feel his emotions all the time. Good God! Nick hoped that's the case or he'll be in for a major embarrassment!!

"I'm okay." Nick answered as he stares into the night, glancing at the other man at the corner of his eyes quietly from time to time. Warren is staring at him quietly and... why is he smiling?

He looked up when Warren turned, stood up and stepped away from the window.

"Hey, where're you going?" Nick asked.

Warren only smiled at him silently as he picks up Nick's jacket.

"Wear this." He said quietly.

"Huh?" Nick took hold of his jacket in puzzlement.

"I promised to take you flying tonight, remember?" Warren smiled back as he unfurled his wings slowly.

Warren's heart beats faster as he watched Nick's eyes brighten with joy.

"Yes!!" Nick shouted happily as he jumped off the window and Warren laughed as he was enveloped into a tight hug. It lasted only for a short moment before Nick withdrew back and stares at him suspiciously. "But no funny stunts like this morning!"

"I promise!" Warren grinned. "C'mon, wear you jacket... and anything else that might keep you warm. It's gonna be really, really cold up there."

"What about you?" Nick asked as he threw on his warmest clothes. Warren is only dressed in a simple hooded sweatshirt, a tracksuit and a pair of sneakers.

Warren only grinned in answer and pulled his shirt back to reveal his blue-and-white Archangel costume underneath.

"This costume is designed specially for me to withstand cold as well as providing a smooth aerodynamic surface that is perfect for flying." He answered amusedly. "As well as showing off my perfect figure of course!"

Nick rolled his eyes and let it slide, silently agreeing to the last part in secret.

"Ready?" said Warren as he spread his wings and flapped it once or twice in readiness. Nick nodded uncertainly, his nervousness subconsciously being transmitted through the link into Warren's mind. "Hey! Don't be nervous!"

Nick cursed himself inwardly as he desperately masked the link and was startled as Warren's hand touched his shoulder.

"I promise you'll love this." Warren said softly. "Now stand in front of me."

Nick almost gasped and his heartbeat shot up to an even higher level as he felt Warren's strong arms wrapped around him tightly. Together, they stepped onto the edge of the windowsill, with Nick leaning against Warren's body nervously.

"Ready?" Warren whispered at his ear.

"Yeah." Nick answered as he pressed himself against Warren. He looked up incredulously as Warren chuckled softly. "What's so funny?"

"The link is open." Warren answered amusedly. "And your mind... you're nervous and happy at the same time. Relax, Nick. Enjoy yourself. You'll love it, I promise."

"Well, excuse me, Mr. Archangel." Nick smiled as he answered mockingly. "Not everyone here is used to flying. The last time I learned, humans cannot fly. By the way, I hope I'm not too heavy for you."

"If I can carry Hank around, trust me Nick, I'll barely feel your weight." Warren answered. His eyes glimmer at the prospect of flying free in the sky again. "Ready yourself now. I'll hold you tight against me but you need to hold tight to my arm as well. Steady now. On my count to three."

"One..."

With his heart beating fast from excitement, Nick licked his lips and forced his mind to calm down.

"Two..."

Nick's eyes widened and he swallowed twice before tightening his grip on Warren's arm. He cannot believe his dream of flying with an angel is finally coming true.

"Three!"

The whole thing happened so fast, it almost felt like a dream. The whole view of the lawn before him seems to blur and he watched dazedly as he suddenly felt himself lifting into the air and his feet touching the windowsill no longer. The sound of Warren's flapping wings seems soft and loud at the same time and the wind rushing up against his face forced him to narrow his eyes.

One moment, he was watching the moon in the distance from his bedroom window. The next moment, he was soaring in the air, flying towards the moon. The feeling was... indescribable...

Bobby watched the two flying figures from porch where he sat, blowing the cigarette smoke out of his mouth slowly. He smiled as Nick's joyous shout floated down from above. Silently, he watched the two figures flew off into the night.

Leaning back against the wall, he was glad that he didn't turn on the porch's light. He gave a long tired sigh as he rest his head against the wall and closed his eyes. He will not deny that he felt envious of Nick and Warren.

Nick is a lucky guy to have attracted Warren's attention. Warren is not the sort of guy who would cheat on his partner. Once he makes a commitment, he will never stray from it. Warren is a giver. He will do everything to makes his partner happy and expect nothing in return but his partner's love. Betsy was an absolute fool for walking out on him. One day she'll realize that... but by that time, it'll be too late.

Deep in his heart, Bobby hoped fervently that Nick will love Warren back. Of course, Jean assured him that Nick will... but who can tell the outcome when it comes to love? Love is a very fickle thing. It can lean to one side and then shift to the other side at the next second.

Warren needs Nick to face his demon. Bobby, Jean and the rest could only do so much in helping Warren, but love can heal everything. It always does. Warren needs someone right now - someone to hold him, someone who understands him, someone to support him and someone who can be a symbol of hope in his life...

"Bobby! You want a Twinkie?" Jubilee's voice floated out from the living room.

Regaining his cheerful mood, Bobby grinned and licks his lips.

'God bless the soul of whoever created Twinkies.' He thought gleefully as jumps to his feet and rushed in.
