Gay

Hey y'all. I'm back with the next part of Dreams of an Angel. Sorry for the lateness guys and gals. I just started my new job yesterday and man, I was too stressed out to think of anything else :P Anyway, I'm back now but sadly, because I need some time to write the stuff, I'll be updating once a week now instead of twice a week like last time. So, if you all want updates, it'll be up every Friday now. Hey! Once a week is better than nothing right? :)

Anyway, lets get on with the show. Hope you all enjoy it! Any comments or suggestions, well, you know how to contact me. My Yahoo ID is Goldenknightuk if you wish to send me an instant message. Sorry for any bad grammars boys and girl. C'mon! Nobody's perfect!! :)

Before the show, onwards to the boring part! Legal matters! Hehehe. You can press 'fast-forward' now.

Well, first of all, this story, as you will certainly find out soon, is TOTALLY fictional. So! If any of you truly believe in it... dude, I'm worried about you. Secondly! None of the guys in the Backstreet Boys are gay! (No matter how hard I wished it :P). But nobody say we couldn't dream it, heh heh. Thirdly, Warren Worthington is actually a character from Marvel Comics, X-men known as Angel or recently Archangel. Okay fine, I admit it. I'm bored and I am making a pathetic attempt to make life a lil' bit interesting. Its not like I'm gonna publish it or something. What else to talk about hmm? Oh, there may be some adult gay scenes in this story. Unlike my brother, I don't mind writing naughty stuff ;) so! If you're underage, naughty, naughty! I can only ask you to go away, but I cannot do anything else to stop you from reading on anyway. Hell! I've been sneaking into the internet to watch gay porns since I was 13! So, if your parents or whoever responsible for you catch you, don't say I didn't warned you. However, if you're homophobic... well maybe I can seduce you enough to turn you around heh heh. I do so love a challenge ;)

Anyway, enough talk. Any comments or boos or suggestion or whatever, just sent it to the same address as in NNTs, goldenknightuk@yahoo.co.uk . Yeah, we shared the same address. Don't ask. Long story.

Okay then! On to the show. Now, don't be shy now. If you got any comments or suggestions, just drop me a note. You do the request, and I'll do the show.

Part 50: 'Living For The Moment'

"Uuuuunnnhhh..." Lance moaned softly at last about half an hour later. He stirs again as he bury his face comfortably on the... somewhat... soft, warm pillow he is lying on right now, smiling slightly as he did... until his pounding headache crashes down upon him without mercy. "Uuunnhh... Lor' 'ave mercy... It hurts..."

"Aww, poor baby." A familiar voice appeared above him. The pillow beneath him vibrates strangely as the voice spoke.

"Huh??!" Lance opened his eyes in surprise, gazing up at the direction of the voice.

"Hi honey. How's your nap?" Bobby's smirking face greeted him, his hands folded comfortable behind his head as he rested it against the armrest of the couch. "Hey careful. You're pressing your hand on my 'thing'."

"GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!" Lance screamed out in shock as he scrambled off the couch desperately, even as Bobby laughed helplessly. "Oh God! Oh Lord! Oh Fuck! What happened? What did we do?!!!"

He slid to his knee weakly soon after that, cradling his head desperately with his eyes tightly shut as his headache intensified.

"Whoa there!! Relax, Lance, nothing happened!!" Bobby scrambled towards him worriedly, wrapping his arms around him gently. "Lance... Lance! Relax. You're having a bad hangover. Just breathe in and out and pull yourself together."

"Oh Gawd, somebody please kill me." Lance groaned as Bobby laughed softly, rubbing his back gently. "Bobby... Bobby, what happened? Did anything happen last night?"

"Relax. Nothing happened. Look for yourself. We've both fully dressed from last night." Said Bobby and Lance sighed in relief at the answer. "Want some aspirin?"

"There's some in my room upstairs." Lance mumbled tiredly. "Help me up will you?"

"Ready when you are." Bobby laughed. "As a matter of fact, I need some as well. We sure went overboard last night."

"How did we get back?" Lance groaned as they pathetically made their way slowly towards the stairs. "The last thing I remember was that sixth drink..."

"Nick drove us back." Said Bobby as they crawled up the stairs together.

"Nick? You're kidding right?" Said Lance. "That guy wuz supposed to be a party animal. How come he was sober and I was drunk? It wuz supposed to be the other way around."

"How the hell should I know? You know him far longer than I do." Said Bobby as he releases the poor guy into the room. "Now, find that goddamn aspirin will ya? My head feels like it's been through one of Dr. Doom's head-drilling cerebral-whatever-gizmo-thingy thing."

"I want my mommy." Lance groaned weakly, massaging his temple with one hand while digging through his things with the other as he searches for the damned pills. "Got it!"

"Gimme!" Bobby snatches the container quickly.

"The hell you will! It's mine so I'll have it first!" Lance snatches the container back.

"I'm the powerful mutant here, so I'll have it first!" Bobby grabbed the container but Lance pulled it back.

"I'm the famous celebrity here, so I'll have it first!" Lance retorted back.

"I'll call the X-men to back me up if I have to!" Bobby replied stubbornly as he pulls the container.

"And I'll call all ten of my high-priced lawyers to back me up if I have to!" Lance replied just as stubbornly as he pulls the container back.

Silence stretches for several minutes before they both burst into helpless laughter and sank to the floor, still holding the container tightly.

"Oh God, we're pathetic." Bobby laughed.

"I know." Lance laughed beside him before groaning again from the pounding headache. Opening the container, he spills out some of the pills and pass it to Bobby. "Dig in."

About half an hour later, they were sitting on the floor quietly, sighing in relief as they leaned against each other tiredly.

"We must be really, really wasted last night." Lance murmured weakly.

"Hell yeah." Bobby murmured in reply before smiling. "Thank God there were no super-villains around to notice it. Scott'd go ballistic if he knew I let my guard down like that."

Lance's body was shaking in silent laughter. Smiling quietly, Bobby raised his arms and wrapped it around the singer gently. Lance's laughter fades and he sighed quietly as he leans comfortably against the mutant.

"You know, I have to admit, when I woke up on you just now, I must say that I had the best nap I ever had in my life." Lance grinned as he leans his forehead against Bobby's shoulder.

"Mmm-hmm. Everyone always have the best nap of their life when they sleep on the Iceman. It's a fact of life." Bobby laughed.

"For a man who can turn himself into solid ice, you sure have a warm, comfortable body." Said Lance.

"Yeah well, I'm cool and I'm hot. No irony. Just fact." Bobby smiled smugly as Lance replied with a snort.

"You're beginning to sound like Remy." Said Lance.

"Whoa, now that is the best compliment I have so far for this month." Bobby laughed as he rest his head on Lance's shoulder.

"You know, it's a good thing we're both bisexual. You won't find any straight guys sitting and hugging each other like this, ever, bad hangover or no bad hangover." Lance grinned.

"I can't help it. You're so soft, warm and cuddly." Bobby replied.

"What am I? A giant teddy-bear?" said Lance.

"Mmmmm..." Bobby smiled widely with his eyes shut as he hugs the man harder. "Me like bear."

Lance burst into a helpless laughter at that and he tightened his grips around Bobby's waist. Bobby continues to smile until his gaze fell on one of the photographs on the bedside table, showing Lance smiling happily in the arms of another guy. They were sitting at the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean and for the first time since meeting Lance, he could see the glowing love and happiness in the singer's eyes as he leans against the handsome guy behind him. For the first time, Bobby saw a soul truly at peace with himself... a completed soul... a radiant soul in love...

"Is that Tristan?" Bobby asked softly without thinking, his mind too mesmerized on how happy Lance looks in the picture... so complete and content... so very different from the man in his arms right now...

Lance pulled himself away sharply from him as soon as that name came out of his mouth; his face suddenly went blank.

"What... what did you say?" He asked uncertainly.

Bobby looked at him blankly for a moment before shifting his gaze back to the picture slowly in answer.

"That man in the picture." He said carefully. "Is that Tristan?"

Licking his lips in stunned silence, Lance turned to gaze at the picture, his eyes filled with sorrow.

"H-how...?"

"You mentioned that name on the phone last night remember?" Bobby replied as he watched Lance curiously. "And you called out to him in your sleep this morning."

"Oh..." Lance spoke at last. "W-what did I say?"

"Nothing embarrassing I assure you." Bobby smiled reassuringly. "Relax Lance. I'm not gonna bite ya."

He watched curiously as Lance sighed slightly in relief before smiling at him sadly.

"You know, I've been with JC and the guys for years and none of them ever heard that name from me before no matter how much they pry." He spoke tiredly. "But you! You got me drunk for one night and I began babbling all my secrets left and right."

He smiled tightly as Bobby snickered before him.

"So I take it that he is you ex-boyfriend?" said Bobby at last. "Oh please, please don't tell me he's still your boyfriend. I don't want him to get the wrong idea when he heard about how I woke up this morning with you on top of me!"

Lance giggles slightly at that.

"Funny you should mention me being 'on top' of you. To be honest, I'm a bottom guy most of the time." He laughed out at last when Bobby choked and blushed at the same time.

"Stop giving me ideas!!!" Bobby groaned, covering his face with his hands desperately as Lance's laughter increases.

"Okay... okay... I'm serious. I'm serious." Lance spoke again at last when he finally controlled his laughter. He burst into another bouts of laughter again before finally controlling himself again. "There. It's finally out of my system. I'm serious now."

"Jackass." Bobby grumbled grumpily before smiling again. "So should I be worried about angry boyfriends bursting into the room anytime soon?"

"Don't worry about it." Lance shook his head as he smiled. "You're safe here with me protecting you."

"I thought I'm the superhero here!" Bobby exclaimed before laughing. "So he is your boyfriend."

"Well... yeah, he is my boyfriend..." Lance began sadly, "... but... he died long ago in an accident. I never stop loving him even now... and I know he never stops loving me too. So in essence, we're are still together... and at the same time we're not... umm... okay, I'm speaking gibberish right?"

He laughed slightly but halted when he felt Bobby's finger sliding over his cheek to wipe away the tear that somehow found its way there. Now, when did he start crying?

"Oh geez!" Struggling not to let his sadness overwhelms him, Lance smiled tightly as he quickly scrub the tears away with his sleeve. "Sorry about that."

"Hey, don't worry about it." Bobby smiled gently. "I'm sorry for bringing back the memories. I didn't know..."

"It's okay. I've long since dealt with it." Lance murmured back and Bobby tightened his hold on the man.

"You miss him." Bobby spoke again, softly after a while.

Lance merely nodded in answer.

"Everyday." He whispers. "Every... single... day."

"Don't be." Bobby spoke on tentatively. "I don't claim to be an expert in life after death... but I always believed that if you love someone deeply enough, not even death can take that love away from you. I'm sure somewhere up there in heaven, he'll always be looking down, watching over you."

Lance sighed and nodded again in weary silence.

"Is this why you were so depressed when you called me last night? Because you are alone and you missed him?" Bobby asked again.

Again he was answered by a silent nod.

"I dreamt of him last night..." Lance half-whispered, half-mumbled his answer at last. "I've never felt so alone in my life after that. I wish... I just wish..."

He shrugged helplessly at that. He wished for lots of things to happen, most of it requires a great deal of miracles... but he knew it wouldn't come true. Tristan is dead and no amount of wishing can bring him back. He has to face it and accept it.

Strengthening himself, he forced himself to look up at the mutant before him. In the dream, Tristan told him its okay to move on... to love again, to love Bobby. But how can he? Tristan was the only person he truly loved in his life... and still is. Everything else is a dream. Even his relationship with Sarah was really a mean to numb the pain of his loneliness. Bobby is a great guy... he deserves more than that type of relationship.

"Lance?" He heard Bobby gentle voice calling out at him softly.

"I'm sorry." Lance breathed out at last, forcing his mind to pull itself together. His voice is slightly shaky though, as he struggles hard to hold himself back from breaking down and cry. "I... I don't wanna deal with this right now. I..."

"Hey, it's okay." Bobby smiled as he backed away from the subject quickly. "Don't force yourself. I'll be here if you wanna talk about it."

Lance smiled but inside he almost screamed in frustration. He must have looked so very pathetic right now.

"C'mon. I'm hungry." Bobby grinned at last. "How about feeding this poor hungry mutant some breakfast to cheer things up around here, hmm? I promise I'll be good. See this baby smile on my face? Who could resist this smile, hmm?"

Somehow, Bobby definitely knew what to say to cheer him up. Maybe it's that twinkle in his eyes or maybe it's his smile. But it sure banished the depressive feeling within him.

"You like cereal? I love cereal in the morning. C'mon. If you behave yourself, I may be kind enough to whip you up something nice and sizzling..." In moments, Lance is smiling cheerfully again as they made their way towards the kitchen, chatting excitedly about their plans for the day...

The day can pass by quickly indeed. Looking at the sky, Nick was surprised when he finally noticed the sun slowly descending in the far distance. He glanced at the clock in his car and noted in aghast that it's almost 6 p.m.

"Oh man. Warren said he's gonna be back at 8!" He groaned softly as he waited for the traffic light to turn green.

Tapping his fingers against the steering wheel impatiently, he leaned against the seat and sighed. Despite his weariness from the countless continuous hours trying out his songs at the studio, his spirit doesn't seem to be affected from it. All he know is that he's gonna be together again with Warren tonight!

Whistling to himself cheerfully, he flicks on the radio. One of Eminem's song blasted out from the speaker and soon enough he began to bob along with it happily. A honk for the car behind him caused him to look up in surprise. Oops. The light is already green.

Several more honks rises from the various cars behind him before he finally react... frantically.

"Alright, alright. I'm moving! I'm moving!" Nick yelled even as he happily raises his middle finger up high for the entire galaxy to see.

Laughing to himself, he sped though the freeway, feeling high and mighty. Reaching through the link, he could feel Warren feeling the same way too... happy, free... and full of anticipation and impatience. Warren must be on his way back and judging from the sensation of freedom and ecstasy... he must have decided to fly back on his own two wings all the way from New York to Orlando!! Either the guy is mad or he is used to flying long distances.

Those particular findings make him even more happier. Knowing that he'll be back in his angel's arms soon, he drove faster.

'Face it Carter. You're hopelessly, head over heel in love with the guy.' He smiled to himself as he nodded along with the song - now it's Janet Jackson's 'Love Will Never Do Without You'.

He slows down after a while before turning at a junction and began a steady drive towards his place. He passes a small boathouse along the way and caught the eyes of a slim woman standing by a boat, looking at him once before flashing a beautiful smile. Nick has to admit, she is GORGEOUS. Flashing back his typical boyband smile, he drove on. Hey, he may be with Warren, but that doesn't mean he abandoned his heterosexuality for good! He still finds women attractive.

Time passes by and by the time he nearly reach his house, one of Britney Spear's songs began blaring away shrilly from the speakers, making him drive faster to reach his home before his whole life drains away from his body, leaving nothing but an empty husk.

He survived the shrieking banshee, thankfully. In moments, he is stepping out of the car and stumbled towards the front door, carrying his notes. Sighing at the empty feeling of the house, he dumped his stuff onto his office desk and checked the answering machine. Glancing at the clock, he noted that it's quarter to seven.

Cursing vilely under his breath, he ignore the answering machine and race up the stairs towards his room to prepare himself for his dinner date tonight.

It's a pity he didn't stay long enough to hear the message from the answering machine...

BEEEEP!!!!

"Hey Nick, it's me JC. I can't seem to get in touch with your mobile so I thought I call your house instead. Are you in tonight? I hope you are 'cause I'm coming over to your place at around nine. It's very important, so I hope you're in. It's about AJ. Hope you get this message. See ya later."

BEEEEP!!!! End message.
