Chapter 2
Josh...damn I couldn't get him out of my mind. Who is he? I hate it when people leave me hanging like this, even authors. It's like an unfinished chapter with a damn cliffhanger and I have to see how it ends. From the looks of it though, Josh had a damn good "end." I couldn't sleep that night thinking of him. But I had to if I wanted to go to college tomorrow and more importantly, see Josh again.
I woke to the obnoxious sound of my alarm. Have to get another one, I pulled my thoughts together and decided what to do next. I remembered Josh, and when I was confirmed that it wasn't a dream, I got ready for breakfast with my parents. No one says a thing and this was really pissing me off. I wanted to shout into their faces to tell them that I'm still me and nothing has changed, only difference is that now you know. And if I didn't have Josh to look forward to I would've actually done it.
I walked to college, I didn't realize till Bryan told me that I'd been smiling like a fool. I had barely met this guy and he already has me smiling, I just had to get to know him. We both had the same class so we went in and sat down.
"Jesus Joey! Are you even listening to me?"
"What? Sorry! I was thinking about something else."
"Some 'thing' Joey? Or someone...did you and Josh..."
"Why the heck should I tell you? It's non of your beeswax...and no we haven't ok?"
"So how come you're grinning like a chimp since you got here?"
Just then Mr. Walker walked into the class and I was saved. I swear, Bryan is definitely made to fit the FBI, jeez, with the questions he asks; he'd even embarrass them. It is obvious that I didn't pay much attention in class that day, just waiting for that bell to ring and I'll be out seeing Josh. As long as it felt the bell did ring and I was the first one out of the class.
I went around and looked for Josh but didn't see him. I waited for over 10 minutes and then decided to leave. I thought he was going to stand me up on the first day just when a bike came roaring out of nowhere and there he was. He was dressed in tight jeans and a leather jacket. He looked something right out of the musical, "Grease".
"Sorry...I'm really sorry. I just remembered last minute errands that I had to do. I'm really, really sorry."
"Uh, it's fine" how could I stay mad at someone like him, "better late than never, right?"
"Right!" he said patting the seat behind him.
I think he wanted me to get on...so I did. Soon enough, I was on the bike for the first time in my life and with a total beefcake. He quickly reached back and took my hand and placed it on his shoulder.
"Sorry, there are no seatbelts in this thing, so you have to hold on to this. Cant lose you now, can I?" Did he just say that...cute! And he followed safety rules...perfect.
"So where are we going?"
"There's this really good café around here. I usually go there..."
"With..." I cut him off; I wonder how could any guy let go of this stud.
"Just me. It's really hasn't been all that long since I moved here, around 2 months. I don't know many people here."
"Wait..." Finally, "how do you know me? You say you don't know many people here but you seem to know me pretty well."
"That...uh, well, it's quite a complicated story actually."
"Really? I love stories...tell me."
"There's no way you're giving up, is there?"
"Nope...tell me."
"How about we get to the café first? You know sit down and talk..."
"Sorry. Sure okay..."
It didn't take too long for us to get to the café. I had to say it was a pretty snazzy place. And the best thing was there weren't many people there; well at least at that time so we had somewhat more privacy.
"Well, we're here. So tell me..."
"When I moved here...I didn't exactly know anyone. That night I was out on town when it started raining, I was trying to hurry home when I saw you."
"Me? Where?"
"I think it was around the theater, sorry bad memory. But what I do remember is, you. You were soaking wet...you looked pretty miserable, being wet and all. And then the puppy!"
I think I knew what he was talking about. I didn't remember much from that night amazingly he remembered every detail. I was returning home from the movies when it started raining. I guess I had gotten pretty pissed, I guess only kids enjoy the rain and snow, once you grow up it becomes a whole different story. I was just standing there, getting more and more miserable when out of nowhere this little puppy came out and stood beside me. He looked up and me with those...literally, puppy dog eyes. I couldn't help but smile at him. I picked him up and took him home. I knew my parents wouldn't have let me have him, but I knew Sam would've loved it. What I didn't know was all this time I was being watched. I realized I was being stared at...I guess I was lost in thoughts again.
"That night...that night when I saw you, I decided that I had to know you. So since then I'd been asking around and well, I followed you, I met your sister too. She's a pretty cool kid. And then 5 days ago I heard you were gay and you came out. I guess that's when I...I made up my mind to actually meet you."
"So what you mean to say is...you've been stalking me." There was that smile again.
"Not exactly a word I'd use but...umm yeah."
"Wow, I thought it was going to be the other way around."
"What do you mean?"
"Never mind, so I'm guessing you're gay too?"
"Last time I checked...so? Do I stand a chance?"
"I guess you stand a pretty decent chance." Decent chance? Who was I kidding? He almost owned me now.
"So can I rest assured we have a future date, together? How about Friday night...I'll call you?"
"Sure!" with that he smiled and got up to go...and I remembered one last detail, "don't you want my number."
"Oh, its ok...I already have it."
I couldn't help but stare in disbelief. We were both on the bike again and off we went. Every time I sat down on that bike behind him I always popped a boner. I think he knew that, it was very hard to miss especially when it poking down his back and him squirming ever now and then didn't make it any easier either. He dropped me off at my house and rode away. As I got in the house I realized something. It was 4: 00 pm in the evening and it was Friday.
So how did it sound? Good, bad or amazingly awful. Drop me a line at kamguy@alexandria.cc Remember an author only writes when he knows someone's reading.
