To my readers:
I apologize for the month long absence in posting. The day chapter 4 was posted I went in for Gastric Bypass Surgery, and have been recovering and getting use to it for the past month also, I am in my senior year of college, and have papers out the butt to finish. So I apologize, but I am happy to tell you that I have the entire First book outlined, and it is looking to be around 30-40 chapters. Lots of writing, and I hope you all continue to enjoy.
Entering Harmony
Chapter Five
By: Inanimate_Transformer
Ardor...
Ballard moaned loudly, his back arching off the feather mattress, as Kaithan repeatedly thrust into his hole. Pleasure trilled through Kaithans' nerves as he felt the hot passage he was sliding into grip and squeeze onto him, milking him for all the gratification that could be found. A pillow had been placed underneath Ballards' butt to give leverage for full penetration and Kaithan took advantage of this, pummeling Ballard; sweat dripping off him.
Ballard loved it when Kaithan was in this mood. He was intense, domineering, and so passionate; Kai's eyes could turn a dark green, and fill Baal with a need to always keep that hot stare glued solely upon him.
Now, Kai was hitting Baal's pleasure spot over and over, the force he was using, caused Baal to gasp breathless as the strength of the thrusts pushed the air out of him. The bed began making shuddering noises as the tempo increased. But it intensified his need to pleasure his man and drove Baal to squeeze his hole down on Kai even more firmly.
Kai gave a grumbling groan, gritting his teeth, staring down into the eyes of his partner, lover, and friend. Desire and love blended and combined within Kai as he bunched the sheets above Baal's head and watched his soul mates expression writhe in pleasure. Baal was nearing his climax and gritted his teeth; his toes on Kai's shoulders began to curl in his telltale sign of climax.
Kai grinned on seeing that and flexed his pelvic floor four more times before both of them screamed simultaneously crashing into a dramatic conclusion of juices.
As Kaithan collapsed into Ballard's waiting arms, both men panting, as the sweat cooled on their bodies. Ballard took Kai's chin in his hand and brought him up to share a sweet kiss with his love. The kiss rose in intensity, and just as they were warming up for another round, a huge gust of wind rushed over their forms, as a large silver sphere landed with a THUNK.
Ballard was the first to the ship; he began to feel all along it, trying to find a seam, a handle SOMETHING! Both he and Kaithan looked but to no avail, both started pounding hoping Caanderal would hear their pleas. So focused were they on the ship that neither noticed the Lake dwelling creatures that had come to the edge of the water, watching with shimmering liquid eyes. Nor did they notice a large dark form rising from the deep. Only when the form breached the surface with a loud splash did they turn around, stumble back, and gaze in shock.
Out of the water, a gigantic creature emerged part way onto the land. It was about the size of an elephant, with large shimmering blue eyes. Its body, long and slender, grew larger around the middle, with curving paddle like feet, and then, tapered off into a long graceful tail, while its upper body was comprised of a very muscular long elegant neck. The head was long as well, with its mouth resembling the muzzle of a horse, and large white whiskers sprouting both sides of the muzzle.
The creature eyed both Kaithan and Ballard with interest, before opening its mouth and letting out a soft trilling noise. The water around it began to shimmer and vibrate, as the other creatures opened their mouths, mimicking the tone perfectly.
Out, under the lakes surface, about midway, a light began to filter through the water. The air above it started to waver like a heated mirage, seeming to condense into a more solid manifestation. The trilling from the large creature, grew louder and louder, aimed at the moving light above the water.
The air around the lake began to stir, seemingly sucked into the vortex that was forming above the center of the lake, until with a loud crashing crescendo; a body appeared in the disturbance, floating for a second, and promptly falling into the water. The trilling softened, leaving the first creature warbling out solo.
From the middle of the water came a hauntingly beautiful melody, as a smaller shadow headed towards both men. The haze cleared, and out emerged a miniature, but much more beautiful version of the large creature that had sung solo.
This new creature was in essence, beautiful. The body was a mix of lustrous sapphire and flashes of emerald swirls over its back. Thick blue lines curled and flowed along the side of its body, in intricate patterns, swirling in a furor up its neck, before framing the face like a cowl. The head was strikingly different as well. The horse shaped head was slender, and streamlined, coming to a rounded point. Its eyes were not only brighter, but were two different colors. One a deep sapphire, while the other matched the deep emerald swirls on its body. Above its knowing eyes, graceful ivory lashes, curled and arched gently.
There was no question in either mans mind, this creature was definitely female.
As she approached the edge of the lake, her lower body shimmered, as the oar like legs and arms became more defined, with muscles and soft scales covering them. Her feet became claw like, with short pinpoint nails at the end. She walked out of the water with a decisive gait, heading towards the sphere and the boys. The men, mesmerized by her gaze, stood slowly, as she walked toward them.
She took a long penetrating look at Ballard, and then with the swiftest of movements,
shifted her gaze to Kaithan.
Kaithan got a peculiar look on his face. In his head, he heard a melodic voice. "Kaithan, we have no time for explanations now, but quickly lay your hand on my neck and place your other hand on the surface of Caanderals ship, they are both in grave danger..."
Kaithan gaped as he stared at the creature who was now speaking into his mind "what...how can I hear you, your not speaking?" She looked at him, expression stern and silent. "My apologies, all will be explained, but first, lay your hand on my neck, and the other on the ship."
Meanwhile Ballard was staring at Kaithan with a worried expression. He obviously realized something was going on between this creature and Kaithan but he wasn't sure if it was a good thing. Calming Ballard with a quick squeeze to the shoulder, Kaithan reached his hand out. Expecting her to be somewhat cold and clammy, he was amazed to feel the utter warmth that emanated through her skin. Not, only warmth, but there seemed to be an arrhythmic pounding, as if her heart was keeping a staccato beat. He reached out, and placed his hand upon the ship.
Where his palm touched the ship, a sliver translucent liquid came out and covered his hand, which had started to turn a light blue. Clear vibrant tones were heard as suddenly his hand was released and the door to the ship opened.
Ballard rushed over to the entrance just as Caanderal was stumbling out, with a very pale looking Cassandra in his arms. Kaithan looked over.
"MOTHER...CAANDERAL! What happened? Is she okay? Where was she?" Kaithan felt the blood rushing to his head in his panic.
In Caanderals arms, Cassandra's still pale form hung, covered in bruises and lacerations all over her body. While Caanderal's massive body was littered with arrows, and scorch marks. He stumbled out of the ship, and passed Cassandra's body to Ballard right as he collapsed onto the soft lush grass.
Across his body, deep red streaks of blood and gore marked him, and trailed on Cassandra where he had held her. Ballard, having handed Cassandra's still form to Kaithan, came over to check on Caanderal. "What happened here? Who did this?"
"There...isn't much time...Ballard....quickly you must get her to..." he gasped, as his body collapsed into unconsciousness. Ballard leaned down, and grabbed Caan's shoulders "Get her where...Or who? Caan? CAAN!" shaking his shoulders wildly, Ballard tried to awaken Caanderal. Kaithan was on the ground, cradling his mothers limp form in his arms. His hand slowly stroking his mother cheeks, when the voice murmured in his head again. "Kaithan, quickly, you must place your mother on the boulder by the lake, we can save her, but you must hurry!" Kaithan quickly grabbed Cassandra up in his arms, and carried her to the boulder he and Ballard had rested on just that morning. As he laid her body on the stone surface; it seemed to sink under her weight.
The boulder, sank down, sinking until it formed a large depression, with Cassandra lying in the middle. Like liquid silk, the boulder flowed until it reached the lake, forming a trough from the water to Cassandra's' encased form.
Once the trough was fully formed, the creature who had been speaking to Kaithan circled out in the water and then with a force rushed towards the bank, in effect forcing water up the trough and in to the depression that Cassandra was in. The water filled the depression covering Cassandra completely. Kaithan was about to rush forward when she spoke again "Do not worry my kin, she is safe, she will not drown, now watch and see one of the wonders of Harmony." Kaithan nodded slowly and backed up, resting on his heels.
Crowding behind the female creature, others gathered, close together, all touching.
It started as a low hum, that grew louder and louder. Each creature, from the smallest guppy, to the large serpentine creature that first surfaced earlier, began to sing, adding their voice to the group. Both Kaithan and Ballard blinked rapidly, as though their vision was growing hazy. Since, along with the singing, came an immense vibration, rapidly shaking the water and the creatures alike. All focused toward the female creature whose chest rested flush with the trough.
Her head was swaying from side to side, as the vibrations collected at her back. Her body seemingly absorbing the waves, as inch by inch, the rapid vibrations moved slowly up her body heading up her neck finally reaching her head. As the vibration reached her eyes, she laid her head down inside the trough, and her eyes began to glow a raging blue fire. With her mouth underwater she took in an enormous breathe which seemed to inflate her body even more. At the apex of her breath the vibration reached her mouth and with a crescendo she let out a high pitched melodic cry. Both watched as a solid wave of vibration ran up the length of the trough to where Cassandra lay in the water.
Her watery cocoon solidified, and blurred like a horse shaking of a fly. An intense glow was emitting from inside the water, and they could see Cassandra writhing inside. This continued for some time, until slowly the music died down. Fading away, like the sun lowering in the sky. As the sound finally diminished to a low humming, Cassandra sat straight up and screamed, not from pain, but from the remembrance of it all.
Kaithan ran to her and helped her out of the pool. As she stepped onto the soft grass the boulder reformed back into its original shape, while the trough remained an indent around it.
"Mother! What happened, where have you been all this time?" Kaithan asked as his mother sat up looking at him with tears in her eyes. Before she could answer the creatures voice appeared in both their heads.
"Kaithan, Cassandra we don't have much time. Cassandra, you must go back to Di'Tharn and find Terra, tell her Nessanthria needs her in Harmony."
"Who is Terra? I don't know anyone by that name, and who are you and who is this Nessanthria you speak of?" Cassandra asked in a cloud of confusion.
"I am Nessanthria, princess of Uusanthia, daughter of Arithrany. I came here many many eons ago, and have helped your world find their way to these pockets. Harmony is by far the strongest we have encountered which is why Kaithan and Ballard were taken here. But now is not the time for this, Terra can explain further, now Cassandra please; go to Ballard and place his hand and your hand on his necklace. You must hurry; Harmony is threatened with your presence." Nessanthria gaze was solid and unyielding.
"Mother, if what she says is true, you must go and find this Terra, don't worry about me, I will be here safe, I need to take care of Caanderal". Kaithan turned his gaze to his lover.
"Ballard, please watch over my mother, and guide her home safely." He moved closer to Ballard and looked into his eyes. "But please be careful and come back soon my love" as he leaned in and gave Ballard a gentle kiss, before guiding both Ballard's and Cassandra's hands to the necklace.
The humming began again and quickly reached a thunderous melody as both Ballard and Cassandra vanished.
Surprise...Devastation...Evil...
"Brother....what have you done?" whispered Razmus as he stared at the man he once called brother.
"What I need to do to gain the power that is MINE. She has always loved you, watched over you, where was she when I was lost after I left, WHERE?!?" As Ruz was ranting, his skin began to flake off, gaining a yellowish tinge.
"You dear brother," Ruz said with a snarl, "have no idea what is coming, it will be glorious...all those who defy us will end up just like your HALF-BREED WIFE."
Razmus did not know what to think, what was he talking about, what had happened to his brother. "Who...what...what are you talking about? Who watched over me? What are you talking about? WHERE IS CASSANDRA!" Razmus shouted finally loosing control, letting his emotions rage harder than ever before.
He watched as Ruz's form grew larger, and more of his skin flaked off, replaced by sickly yellow flesh. Wafts of sulfurous haze wafted off his flesh, as every orifice began dripping with thick yellowish ooze. As it dripped to the ground, he could see the dirt sizzle and pop. All Ruz's clothes burned and fell in pieces at his feet, as long thick nails emerged from his fingers. His remaining human flesh started cracking, looking like sun parched mud.
"And now brother, it is time to say goodbye" Ruz spoke in an altered deep rumble, "I will not risk you learning what I have learned and using it to stop us. Come...meet your END!" Ruz roared as he rushed towards Razmus, arms spread, fluid falling as he approached.
An arms swing away he jerked to a stop, his hands grasping the side of his head, screaming in pain. "no...NO! NOT NOW, STOP MAKE IT STOP!" Razmus took the chance to move away from his brother, as he gained a few feet, he heard a faintly familiar sound...the sound that just last night...had set the villagers against their oppressors. The sound grew in intensity, as two forms appeared ten feet away from the two brothers. Razmus dropped to his knees as the naked forms of Ballard and...Cassandra appeared.
The sound dissipated after the arrival and Ruz slowly turned his head towards the two.
"So, you managed to escape...and you found my nephews makirk as well...it is up to me then to finish what Damsk could not!" Ruz raised his hands toward the two, as ten serrated blades shot out of his fingers toward Ballard and Cassandra. The two turned their backs, as a hopeless attempt to stop the blades when...
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Razmus, with a speed no human could match, ran to them, protecting them with his body.
As if in slow motion, the blades came within an inch of Razmus's body before splashing to the ground. The blades, upon reaching Razmus had liquefied into dark blue water, and fallen harmlessly at his feet. An inch from his skin shimmered a blue shield. Ruz stood panting, furious at what had happened and what he now saw.
The shield that had turned the blades to water collapsed into Razmus's body as dark blue lines began weaving their way through his skin, highlighting major muscle groups and other body areas. The lines pulsed and interconnected, never breaking, looking like a flowing stream running through his skin.
The three of them, Ballard, Cassandra and Razmus straightened up, and Razmus turned around. His eyes were now burning with an intense Sapphire light as his body began to radiate the same hue.
Before Razmus could do anything, Ruz shot a small blade, which slid right between Cassandra and Razmus, into Ballard's right shoulder, the force of which impaled him on the shack wall behind them. Both Cassandra and Razmus screamed "BALLARD!" in unison, before swiftly turning back to Ruz.
Ruz was sneering at the pain inflicted by his attack, but his sneer faded when he saw the cold and feral stares from the two adults. Razmus's skin took on a light blue tinge, contrasting with his dark blue veins. Cassandra wore a glowing and brilliant green hue, with dark green lines starting at her feet. As her lines reached her semi healed chest, she exhaled heavily as her breast grew back. Onwards lines traveled meeting at her nipples and moving up towards her shoulders.
While Razmus's lines were straight and seamless, Cassandra's twisted and curled around her body, like vines growing up an ancient tree. An emerald aura surrounded Cassandra, emanating from the green lines growing over her body. Her hair changed from dark brunette to a dark emerald, as the green lines reached the crown of her head.
Ruz, reacting in fear, attacked: He began taking in a huge breath, "ACID TEMPESTASSSSSSSSSS", he exhaled. With the last syllable leaving his mouth, a shower of yellow acid flew at all three people. Halfway towards their journey Cassandra swept her hand from her left to right while bellowing "Nemos Servo". From the ground an enormous shaft of curled wood erupted up covering the three of them. As the acid spewed forth, it caused the wood to dissolve, but kept the inhabitants safe.
Acting on pure instinct, Razmus spread his arms, and cried "Aequora artic ira!" from the nearby town exit, came a thunderous roaring sound, as a tremendous column of water rushed into the clearing and began to swirl and twist around Ruz. His body contorting as the pressure of ten thousand pounds of water worked to crush and mutilate his body. However, Razmus's power was newly discovered, so he could not hold his attack for more than twenty seconds. The water came crashing down as the attack broke, and Ruz collapsed onto the ground. As he lay there panting for breath, he began whispering, so low no one could hear him.
"AAAARRRGGGHHHH! STOP, PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!" Ballard cried as the yellow shaft that had penetrated him began to melt into his shoulder. The scream breaking the concentration of the parents, was blood curdling.
Harmony
Kaithan rested beside Caanderal, cleaning his wounds when suddenly, his body erupted in pain, in his mind he could hear Ballard's cry for help, the pain coursing through his body as the shaft began to melt into him.
Kaithan stumbled as he turned towards Nessanthria, barely reaching her before he collapsed. "Nes....Nessanthria something is happening, Ballard...he...AHHHHHH"
Kaithan grasped his head, screaming at the pain his mate was feeling. The pain coursed through his body, sharing the pain Ballard was going though. As he rolled on the ground, something snapped within Kaithan. The sky over harmony darkened, and thunder rolled over the land. Kaithan's body began to rise, seemingly suspended off the ground, slowly pivoting, until he was in a standing position. His eyes closed, he seemed to be taking in deep breaths, with each exhalation fog emerged. As the pain increased, his eyes snapped open, one a burning luminescent Sapphire the other a burning Emerald...
Di'Tharn
As Ballard writhed against the wall of the shack, Cassandra tried to free him, while Razmus faced off against his brother. Razmus had successfully managed to divert any attacks away from Cassandra and Ballard, but was tiring and loosing ground fast. Ruz's greater knowledge of his powers made Razmus's attacks amateurish. At this point it was all Razmus could do to defend himself. "AQUAN SHIELD", Razmus cried as yet another shower of acidic sulfur was spewed at him. The ice shield that formed was weakening from the constant acid spray. Razmus grunted at another onslaught. Just as the shield was about to deteriorate, large rocks emerged from the earth, and covered Ruz from his sight.
From inside the rock prison shouts and blasts could be heard. Razmus looked around, to find out where the prison had come from, and looked aghast at the form that had appeared behind Ruz.
There, emerging like an unfolding vine from the ground was an ephemeral green creature. Her body was a human form clad in a blanket of dark green grass, her eyes were speckled with green and brown, huge, and glistening in the mid day sun. Her body flowed, seamlessly in long lines, ending in her long willowy hair. Her blanket green dress trailed over the ground giving the appearance that she hovered over the ground never touching it. Her hands seemed thin and delicate, with what appeared to be a billowing cloak attached to her arms, like trailing vines made into cloth. Yet it flowed from her skin not over it. Her face was delicately made, with a pointed face, pixie like in structure. She seemed youthful, but her knowing eyes gave way to the knowledge of the ages.
Her hands were clasped in from of her, palms flat, as if in prayer; she seemed to be straining a bit, until with a gasp her hands flew apart. At the same time Ruz`s stone prison flew apart, creating a shower of sharp rocks and boulders, crashing into nearby shacks.
Ruz turned to his would be attacker and his faced filled with terror. Before anyone could make a move, an intense sound boomed. Cassandra flew into Razmus's arms, thrown by the reverberation that came from Ballard's body. His body began rising. The Shaft that had been coursing through him, was forced out and back at Ruz, hitting him in the stomach. As he cried out in pain, Ballard's eyes opened...now Green and Blue!?!
Ruz grasped the shaft, preparing to pull it out, when Razmus and Cassandra turned to face him again, hands clasped tightly.
Cassandra's emerald eyes burned with remembered pain as she looked upon him. Her arm extended towards him, as she boomed "Gaia's Retribution" Vines erupted from her hands, burrowing deep into the ground...before coming up directly into the soles of Ruz's feet. He began to writhe in place as the vines began making their way through EVERY vein, artery, and space in his body. Razmus looked up, before adding his own to the attack "Searing ICE", he grabbed Cassandra's arm, and subzero ice began to flow down, and onto the vines, running down the length, into the ground, before running up the vines entering Ruz's foot.
His body seemed to freeze from the ground up, as his screams died, only his eyes remained in motion, swirling around in their sockets, before even those froze as the icy vines reached there, coalescing at the pain center in Ruz's brain.
Cassandra opened her hand slowly hissing, Ruz's body seemed to bulge minutely. With a scream of anger, her hand flew open, and what was once their attacker turned into an explosion of flesh and frozen shards.
Cassandra, Ballard and Razmus, all collapsed, as the green creature came over to them, her form shifting with each step...until Dame El'Beth stood standing in front of the three.
"Mother...?" Cassandra whispered as they all collapsed into unconsciousness.
Further in the village the baby Azlara was playing next to Dame T'easha, who was working the weaving wheel. Suddenly she let forth a shriek before falling into convulsions, which lasted several seconds. Dame T'easha scooped her up and held her to her, trying to calm her...never noticing the yellow tinge, appear and disappear in Azlara's eyes.
