Any comments or suggestions are welcome. In fact, they are heavily encouraged. My poor ego needs the attention :-)

For those of you who are sex maniacs (ya that's right, I mean YOU! ;-) [eheh heh heh] ) you will have to forgive me my lack of Overt sex so far. I will get to it when it's right for the story to have it. -- Corey

PART IV

To Andy it seemed like they had been running forever.

It had all seemed so very peaceful. After admitting to themselves and each other that they were in love, Erin and Andy had continued their Journey hand in hand, with Erin telling Andy most of what he knew of human magic, and explaining Elven magic. He told him tales of the power of the Sorcerers, and the Order of Paladins

He was in the middle of his saddening description of the Ork attack on El'Analon and it's fall, when they were interrupted by a war cry.

Bursting from the trees came 3 Orks. Andy was stunned at their size and muscle power. He had always thought of Orks like they were described in D&D and fantasy stories that he had read: Squat, green Pig-like creatures that were fairly easy to handle one on one, but tended to attack in swarms.

THESE Orks were 6'-6'5" and had only a slightly green tint to their skin. They were impressively muscled, and moved with a grace that defied their appearance and size. Faced with such odds, the Unarmed Andy did the only thing he could think of.

He Charged.

The Ork had, of course, expected the two unarmed youngsters to run. He and his brothers were rather large Orks, and were quiet heavily armed. The thought had simply not crossed his mind that the would attack, and so he was totally unprepared for it.

Andy came in low, his left shoulder rammed into the lead Ork's gut, and while the Ork whuffed in surprise as his breath shot out of him, Andy brought his right fist up into the Ork's groin with all the power his legs could give him. The Ork's eyes bugged out in shock as it fell back with a silent howl. Andy snatched up the Ork's fallen Scimitar and turned quickly to the closest Ork.

His love of Fantasy had prompted Andy to beg his father to let him learn to use old weapons. Thinking that the exercise would do his son good, not to mention learning how to stand up for himself, his father had readily agreed. Andy had studied Kenjutsu, and "fencing" with Long swords. His training was about to pay off.

Twisting his body as he turned, Andy slammed the pommel of the scimitar into the closest Ork's kidneys (at least he assumed it was his kidneys), then brought the blade down on the back of the Ork's helmet when he bent over in pain. The Ork toppled to the ground, leaving Andy to face the last Ork.

By now, the remaining Ork had recovered from his surprise, and was coming in toward Andy crouched down, his sword held out to keep Andy back, and his shield covered his Abdomen and crotch.

Andy knew he was in trouble, he had been able to take the other two down through sheer surprise and dirty fighting. He knew that he could use neither against the last Ork, and it would only take one blow for it to kill him.

"Run Erin, I will hold it off as long as I can...." Andy blinked as he noticed that Erin was gone. He was relieved that his love had managed to get away, but at the same time felt sad that he was gone.

A shriek of pain brought Andy back into focus. He noticed the Ork go down on one knee, blood streaming from a slash along his hamstring. He noticed Erin shimmering into view, a grim smile on his face. Andy realized that Erin had used and Illusion, one of the magic's at which Elves excelled, to hide his presence so that he could sneak up on the Ork.

Erin reached out and took Andy's left hand in his right. "Come love, we must go, there will be more of them."

With a nod, Andy raced off with Erin into the woods. They ran for hours, Erin throwing what Illusions he could to ward them off, and using his magic to restore as much strength in them as he could when they tired.

"They have a Shaman with them." Erin said quietly "I just felt him dispel one of my illusions." He bit his lip "And if they have a Shaman, that means they will have a Bloodhound..."

Bloodhounds, Erin had explained to Andy, were Orks that had been twisted by Shaman magic into hideous monstrosities who were used to track down prey. Shamans tended to do this to punish Orks who got out of line, or disobeyed orders. They would spend a certain amount of time as an obedient Bloodhound, and were later turned back. If they lived. A Bloodhound never lost it's trail, and would eventually track down anything.

In other words, there was no way to escape.

Andy looked into Erin's eyes. "Do we give up, or do we look for a place to make a stand?"

Erin grinned at Andy. "I would rather not die.. but if I must, I would have it be at your side." He gave Andy a quick kiss. "Besides, the last thing I want is to be at the mercy of those creatures." He pointed to a small cliff where the river began to cut into the mountains "There is a small cave in there. We can make them come at us one at a time."

Andy nodded.

As they made their way to the cave, Andy thought how Ironic it was that he tried to kill himself, only to find someone who he fell in love with, and was now about to die with.

As they entered, Erin wove an illusion over the cave mouth to make it look like the rest of the rock face. He looked and Andy and shrug "Maybe we shall get lucky."

Andy grinned. "I doubt it babe." he kissed Erin quickly "I burned up all my luck for life getting you."

Erin smiled softly "It was not luck my love, it was Destiny."

Andy was about to make a joke when he noticed Erin stiffened in pain. He could see energy coursing over Erin's beautiful body, crushing the life out of him.

"Shaman!" Erin gasped "Found.. me.. through... spell." Erin began to convulse as the pressure built up around him.

"NO!!" Andy shrieked.

The Historian watched, and for the first time since he took this post, he felt a desire to intervene. He knew what the boy Andy was, and knew how to tell him to use his gift.

His office forbade him that. He must watch, and never interfere.

The Historian prepared to note the Death of these two when he noticed the Spirits again. They nodded in acknowledgment to him, and then sunk themselves into the bodies of the two boys.

Andy didn't know why, but he reached out his hand and touched the Energy field that was killing his love. He wrenched his hands, and with his will he shredded that field, and gathered the power it had been made of in his hands. He reached out with his mind, and felt the link that bound the spell to the Shaman who had cast it.

"I believe this is yours" he said quietly, and he returned the power back to it's owner.

The sound of shock and fear from the Orks was loud in Erin's ears, overwhelming even the sound of his heart pounding and the gasps as he drew deep, ragged breaths. He could see cold fury filling Andy's eyes as he moved to the cave mouth.

Andy's quiet voice, filled with menace. "You would take from me the only person I love? Who the hell do you think you are?"

Andy raised his hands, and gathered energy. The ground began to shake beneath the Orks. A crack opened in the ground, and the earth began to tremble violently, but only under the Orks. Within a few moments, all but the Shaman had fallen into the crevice, and it had closed on them.

Andy released the power he had drawn and watched as the Ork was slowly, torturously crushed by his own spell. He looked down at the scimitar he had dropped. He knew that he couldn't let the Ork Shaman live, but he also could not stand by while he died so horribly. He walked down to where the Ork stood, and with a sad sigh, he decapitated the Shaman, ending his suffering.

They spent that night together in the cave. Erin held Andy, still in shock over what he had done in his arms.

"I love you Andy" was all the poor Elf could think to say. He had felt the same way the first time he had been forced to kill, and he wished he could take that pain away from his love. He pulled Andy around till he faced him, and began to kiss him deeply.

It took a few moments, but Andy began to respond to the kiss, his body moving closer to Erin's and his hands exploring.

What had started as comfort, quickly turned to passion. There was a NEED for the warmth and love of each other. Andy broke the kiss, and began stripping as much of his clothing off as fast as he could. Erin did the same, and in a short time, they were once again in each others arms, and totally nude.

Andy ran his hands over the smooth skin of Erin's chest, and let his fingers linger on the nipples.

Erin giggled at the feeling, and reached a hand out to gently caress Andy's firm butt. His fingers ran all over those shapely mounds until his found the top of Andy's crack. With a mischievous grin he let his fingers slide down the length of it, stopping to tease Andy's hole.

Andy moaned softly at the feel of Erin's fingers "mmmm, that feels so right Erin." he looked down at the Elf's perfect body. "Will you marry me?" Andy giggled.

Erin gasped at that question. What had he been thinking? He couldn't have sex with Andy, he was forbidden to that until he was married. 'I love him' Erin thought 'It's not fair.' "Duty is rarely fair son." His father had told him.

"I-I am sorry Andy." Erin said choking "I cannot make love with you.. I cannot till I am married."

Andy bit his lower lip, then nodded. "All right, I will wait till you marry me." Andy looked down at Erin "You will marry me won't you?"

Erin smiled sadly. "I do not know. It is for my parents to decide. It is my duty. I will always love you Andy, and when I am married, no matter who to, I will want to be with you."

Andy frowned "What kinda crap is that? Why can't you choose who you will marry? And are you saying you want to have an Affair with me if marry someone else?"

Erin reached up to touch Andy's face, wiping the tear he saw forming in one of his eyes. "I am in a... special situation." he sighed. "You see my love.. I am the Elven Prince who fled into the forests with the last of the Royal Guard. We were caught by the Orks, and the Guard held them off so that I could escape. I have to return to my people, and I have to marry who it would be best for my people to marry. I am not required to love my wife, or husband, the marriage is just to promote stability. That is why it is... Custom.. for one in my position to have a lover."

Erin pulled Andy down to him, and held his naked body close in his arms. "I will be with you forever, whether I marry you or not. I will always love you."

Andy began to cry quietly, and Erin held him until he cried himself to sleep.

All right, I lied. I had part IV ready early. Tell me what you think at Blade_singer@go.com, and Stay tuned for Part V.
