Chapter 17: .Transition.
Gossip Girl: Hey boys and girls, it's Gossip Girl and I have the juiciest gossip. But first, who would have thought I'd get my own tv show? Narrated by the fabulous Kristen Bell? Totally fabulous! Back to the gossip...Who's returned to town, just as a party starts? The offspring of some of Uptown's Elite. None other than Adaen Lawerence and Kendall Kipton. Yes, isn't it fabulous?! These two haven't been here in years, none the less together...are they together? They arrived together, but what is their story? Maybe we'll never know, maybe we will....Only time will tell.
XOXO, Gossip.
I had arrived in New York at ten o'clock and just when the Upper East Side gets started. It was a windy, cold night when Kendall and I arrived and I thought summer would be less windy, but it had been so long since I had been in the Upper East Side. Kendall seemed to be at home, hailing a cab and telling him where to go.
"Been here lately?" I asked.
"Oh yeah." she smirked, looking out the opposite window.
I looked out my window and took in the lights and the beautiful buildings. I imagined living there, being part of this forever and I almost fooled myself. Don't get me wrong, I would love to stay here, but the reality of it is that I would have to go back to Hargrove. It's my home. Or it was. Not sure it was anymore...how could it be? My thoughts were interrupted as the cab came to a stop. As I got out of the cab, I remembered the place. It was beautiful. As I walked through the gold and white halls, my mind wandered and I took it all in.
"Come on." Kendall said, pulling me and my stuff to the elevator.
"Are you in a hurry?" I asked.
"Look, we've been on a plane all night, plus, the good parties are about to start!" Kendall squaled with excitement.
"You're right." I said quickyly, pushing the button to the penthouse floors, " So, both our grandparents stay in the penthouses?"
"Yeah, your grandparents beat mine out for the top penthouse. Lucky bitches." Kendall chuckled.
I laughed too, " Yeah, that sounds like my family." I said as the elevator doors opened. I was shocked as I found a party happening in the middle of my grandparents penthouse. Not a shindig, but a very formal party. I felt out of place immediately. Probably because I was wearing normal clothes and everyone else was in their formal wear. I looked around quickly and noticed that it was adults.
"Honey." Grandma said, hurrying to me, " We've been waiting, your mother just called and told us you were coming."
"We thought you were going to come later in the summer." Grandpa beamed.
"Yeah, I decided to hop on a plane and...I figured what the he..y. What the hey." I smiled.
"Kendall?" Kendall grandfather said, hugging her, " Hello, sweetie, your father called."
"So everything's all clear?" Kendall asked.
"Yes, of course." He said, looking at me, " You must be Mr. Lawerence."
"Hi." I said, shaking his hand, " Nice to meet you."
"We've met, I do believe." Kendall's grandfather said, " Call me David."
I nodded, " Umm, grand 'rents, this is my friend, Kendall Kipton." I smiled.
"Well, I supposed you want to rest, but we did let the rest of the kids into our penthouse. If you'd like, you can go and say hi." David smiled, "My wife is around here somewhere."
"Grams?" Kendall said giddily.
"We should go and meet some of them." I said quickly.
"Just what I was thinking." Kendall smiled at me sideways, before we headed off to the elevator again.
As the golden doors opened on the first Penthouse, I saw kids all over. It was like they were bored or something. I looked around and noticed the party haulted.
"Smile kid, we're famous." Kendall whispered.
I felt a knot go through my stomach and I suddenly felt like everybody was in on a really funny joke and I wasn't allowed to know about it.
I leaned over to Kendall, " Sounds like fun is here." I smirked as we walked in. Kendall immediately pointed everyone out. Well, the important people. There was Archibald Stephen III, socialite and athlete, trying to be everything his dad wanted. Then there was his best friend, Steven Parker II, Playboy and all around ho. He was living off daddy's money and very proud of his name. Then there was Stacy VerDesande and Brandy Winston, best friends, top of the social pyramid, and while one of them was nice to the T, the other was pure bitch. There was also Jasmine, their lackey who did all the jobs they found...undoable. There were other kids there, but those were the kids that stood out.
"Hey, look Archie, fresh meat." Steven smiled, sipping his martini.
"He's...hot." Archie said, in awe of me, " And he's with Kendall?"
"Not with." Steven said, studying us, " Looks like your parents did good."
"If I get to him first." Archie smirked over to Steven.
"It's a fight to the finish." Steven smirked, finishing his drink.
Gossip Girl: Spotted. A and K, arriving at the night's biggest party. Also sighted, S and A making plans. But which one will woo the new talent? And what will A say when K reveals her past here on the Upper East side, but more importantly, what will S and B say when they figure out that S and A find A super Okay? Well, I guess we'll just have to see...
Til next time, XOXO
Gossip Girl.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed. Please give me some feedback because that's how I get started. This chapter is very short, but I needed to introducethis new, fast paced life. The first Arc of my story was basically mirror-ing One Tree Hill, so I'm taking the "Summer" to Gossip Girl. I just want to tribute it. And all the A's and S's will be fixed, lol. Til next time, XOXO.
