"So, he really said that?" Kendall asked.
"Yeah. It was sweet." I chuckled lightly, " It's nice to know that I'm not the only one in this."
"But doesn't that freak you out?" Kendall asked.
"As much as it ever did." I said as we walked through the street. We were headed to a very important basketball game. It was downtown and the college was a pretty prestigious college. Nice craftsmanship. I marvelled at the great craftmanship. As we walked into the crowded gym, we stopped when we came upon Archie and a few of his friends. I saw the look one of his friend's faces and I looked at Kendall, who seemed to be wearing the same look. Confusion. Distress.
"Hey." Archie said, " Guys, this is Adaen Lawerence, Adaen, these are the guys, Robert Kimball and Steven Parker."
"Hi guys." I said, " This is Kendall..."
"Hi." Kendall said slowly.
There was an awkward silence, " What's up? Did I miss something?" I asked.
"No. No...nothing." they both said.
"So, what're you guys doing here?" I asked.
"It's gonna be a great game." Steven said, " It's an annual thing."
"Yeah, so what're you guys doing here?" Archie asked.
"Well, my friend is playing. Davis Marchall." I said.
"Oh, well...umm, you guys wanna sit with us?" Archie asked.
"We would, but there's things we have to do. Sorry." Kendall said, pulling me away.
"Later." I said, being pulled off, " What's going on?
"That's my ex." Kendall said nervously.
"Oh, the one that broke your heart? He's the reason you're such a slut?" I chuckled.
"Be serious." Kendall said angrily.
"I am." I said seriously.
"Look, I was popular, he was popular and his girlfriend, Brandy Winston, was popular too." Kendall said.
"Oh." I said, realizing what she'd said, " So...oh! Oh..."
"Yeah. It was bad, but now...I heard he was in like, Paris. Now he's hanging with your boyfriend." Kendall said.
"Archie's not my boyfriend." I said dorkily, " Is he?"
"And now I'm gonna have to find somewhere else to be while you're with your boo." Kendall said nervously.
"I guess he sort of is, I mean, it's not a stretch. Him, his parents and my grandma already have us pegged as married..." I stopped and looked at her, " No, you can be around. I'm sure that Brandy won't mind sharing."
"That's not funny." Kendall smirked.
"Ok, well, listen, who said me and Archie were going to hang out? I mean, I don't even know if he likes me." I said.
"You're always being shy! You know he likes you!" Kendall said.
"Well, what's the issue with being with Mr. Sexy guy. Look, he's blonde, blue eyed and..."
"Already someone's boyfriend." Kendall said.
"Oh yeah, that." I said, thinking, " Well, ummm..."
"Well, if it isn't the hag and the homo." Christina smirked, appearing from nowhere.
"Hi, Christina, you slutty bitch." Kendall smiled falsely.
"So, this is where you disappeared?" Christina said, looking back as someone walked up, it was Hannah, " Look, Hannah, it's Adaen and Kendall."
"So it is." Hannah smirked, " Come to see Davis play?"
I stared at her, " I'm here to see a game." I said.
"Cut it, everybody knows you like Davis." Christina said and my jaw dropped, " Keep your eyes off him, he's my boyfriend."
I looked from her to Hannah, " I should have known that too bitches couldn't keep secrets." I sneered, " Come on, Kendall, it smells here. Someone needs to douche." I said as we walked away.
As we found a place to sit, my mind wondered and I tried to find a way to make sense of what they had just said. That wasn't Hannah and...had she spilled my beans? Kendall thought the same thing too, but she hadn't said it yet, instead, we watched the game.
IT was one hell of a game! I was amazed at how intense Davis was in these games. I had seen him play before and he was awesome then, but this was totally different! I waited for him to come out of the dressing room and I had even rehearsed what I was going to say to him and how I was going to say it and...it all went away when I saw him.
Davis sighed, " What are you doing here?" he demanded.
"I came to watch you play." I said quickly, " You were great."
"Great. Thanks. Bye." he said.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Dead serious." he said.
"Look, I let you in on the most terrible part of me. A part I could have hidden, but I let you know and everything...I expected you to be mad, but I didn't expect you to hate me." I said sadly.
"I don't hate you! This isn't just about you, this is about us! Our love. Something we shared!" Davis said, " When you love someone, you don't run away like a scaredy cat, you stay and work it out!"
"I'm scared." I said simply, " This is too much. I've never loved someone like I love you and I've never been loved like this."
"Why are you scared of it?" Davis asked.
"The honest answer is that I don't know....I don't know. I can't handle this and you told me that you would never pressure me into something I don't want. I need this, but I'm not ready for it yet." I explained.
"I'm not sure I want to wait anymore." he said.
"I understand, but please just don't be mad or sad. I love you." I said, hugging him.
"I love you too." he said, kissing my forehead, " We're going away tonight, then we're going to be at the college, so we might not see each other again until..."
"I know." I said, latched to his side.
While I waited, Kendall decided that it was too risky to wait. The worst thing would be to run into Robert. He was the reason she never stayed the whole summer. If it ever got out that they had been intimate, her already tarnished reputation would be destroyed forever. As she began towards the door, someone stepped in front of her and she almost peed her pants.
"Hey." Robert said awkwardly.
"Oh, hi." Kendall said, just as awkwardly.
"I just..." they both stammered.
They both chuckled, " I just wanted to say hi and that you look fantastic..." he said.
"We can't. Ever." Kendall said softly, " Brandy, the whore that she is...still, she doesn't deserve that."
"She doesn't have to know." Robert said.
"No." Kendall said, " And anyways, I don't really didn't come back for you."
Robert nodded, " Right." he said.
"Hey, babe." Brandy said, kissing him on the cheek, " Hey, it's Kendall. Hi." she said sarcastically.
"Hi Brandy." Kendall said offhandedly.
"So, you're back." Brandy said.
"Yep. The whole summer." Kendall said.
"You've never stayed the whole summer...probably one of those pesky little slutty things you do." Brandy smirked.
"Brandy." Robert said, shooting her a warning look.
"You know what, I've got to go." Kendall said, sweeping past them.
At the time, I had been listening from nearby and I walked up to Brandy.
"Hi. Adaen, is it? Just an inside tip, you should watch who your friends are." Brandy chuckled.
"Look, you might be Miss popular here. But I wasn't here before. Neither was Kendall. All major bitches can and will be disthroned. Watch your back, B." I smiled, walking away.
Gossip Girl: Spotted. Our Queen B going head to head with our latest prodigy. My sources say that just before this clash of the Titans, another veteran went head to head with our Queen. None other than the notrious K. The question is, what's this about? What's the oh-so-guarded secret? Nobody ever goes against the Queen, but what consequences will this have? Will the Golden boys' coat be forever blackened or will he rise above the queen and earn a crown? Only time will tell.

When I caught up with Kendall, she was back at the Penthouses. I walked into her room, trying not to make a sound, but it didn't work. She was sitting on her bed, crying.
"Shouldn't you be on your date?" Kendall asked.
"Shouldn't you be at a party?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think I'll skip it." Kendall said.
"You can come with us, if you want." I said, sitting on her bed.
"I...ummm, I slept with Robert." she confessed, " He was still with Brandy, but I was drunk..."
"This just keeps on getting more like a teen drama every minute...Next thing you'll say is that you were friends with Brandy and Stacy." I joked.
"I was." she said.
"Right, well, get your ass out of the bed. We're all going to a party." I smiled.
"Who would have thought we'd be here. Two of the most unlikely friends." she chuckled.
"We're not as different as you think. As a matter of fact, we're a lot more alike than I thought." I smiled.
"So, why the change in attitude?" she asked.
"In Hargrove, they took something to me. And here they took something from you...." I said.
"Yeah, what's your point?" Kendall chuckled.
"We can take it back." I smiled quickly, " Now get up. My date can wait...right now, we're going to party our asses off." I smiled, hugging Kendall. I thought about it as I got dressed. We were more alike than I guessed. We'd both ran away from a place because we had something taken from us. And we were going to take revenge. First, Manhatten...then, the world.
Gossip Girl: Spotted. A and K, painting the town red, blue, and gold. I'm sure someone Queen is licking her wounds, but I can tell this will only add salt. One has to wonder where this new surge is going...Will there be a thunderstorm or with this one end like Katrina? Sweet Dreams.
