Finding Andrew

Chapter 11: Meeting Justin

The Monday back to school was something that most students in our school didn't want to come. I, on the other hand, was overly excited as I boarded the bus. I was ready to see Andrew. I hadn't seen him since Christmas, so I was starting to get a little down. When I got to my locker I felt him lay his head on my left shoulder.

"Hey bud." I said, putting my books for the day in my backpack.

"Hey to you too. Looks like you're as handsome as always."

"And it looks like you're as cute as always." I said with a grin. He hated when I called him cute.

"Don't say that. Man, that makes me sound so...so..."

"Gay?"

"Shut up, dude!" We laughed as he playfully punched me in the arm. We headed towards the library to sit down and talk. I passed a few of my friends on the way and nodded as they walked by. I'm sure they would wonder why I wouldn't be sitting with them, but that wasn't too high on my list of concerns at the moment.

"Sam, I'm not really sure how to ask this...so I guess I should come flat out and just ask."

"Ok. Shoot."

"Have you talked with Mario since the hospital?"

"Actually I have. Why?"

"You TALKED to him?" He turned red as he started to get upset.

"Well yea. You don't have to worry about him. We talked and everything is going to be fine..." "Oh, so you're still going to be friends with him?" He asked irritated.

"Look Andrew. I know he's hurt you...and obviously he's hurt me too. I don't expect you to forgive him, but you don't know him like I do."

"Enlighten me, oh wise one."

"Forget I even bothered."

"Fine." We sat there in silence for awhile until he got another question off his mind.

"So when are we going to do anything again?"

"I dunno. Unless you have your own place..."

"You know what I mean. I told you that I'd help you through it, but even I didn't think that the process would be going this slow." I did get a little upset by that comment, but decided to play it cool.

"Well how about I do to you what DJ did to me. We'll see how big of a sex drive you get after that."

"Hmm, I think I would like it if you did that actually." He smirked as I shook my head in disbelief.

"You know what I'm getting at...It's not that I didn't like it. I just don't know how to get by this mental block it put me in."

"Just do it."

"Sounds easy to you."

"I know, I know. It's not that I don't enjoy just being around you. I just want to show you that I care...that way too. Honestly I would like the same from you, even though I know how you feel. I can read it in your eyes."

"Is that so?"

"I can read what you feel, but I still haven't figured out your thinking just yet."

"Ok, Miss Cleo. What am I feeling right now?" He did his impersonation as he read his invisible crystal ball.

"You feel bad about it and wish you could move on from it...yet you don't want to because you don't want to confront your past. That will be ten bucks."

"Fuck off." We laughed as the bell for first period rang. We walked back towards the locker room so we could change out for gym. As we turned into our row, we saw a new guy. He was in the process of changing and was using the vacant locker across from mine. I didn't want to stare, but man was he hot...not like Andrew of course, but he definitely drew your attention. He was a few inches shorter than me, had a slim and toned build, and he had blond spiky hair (I really like that if you haven't been able to tell yet...just think its cool to have). One of the things we would also laugh about with him was the boxers he wore. He had all kinds with funny sayings or themes on them. My favorite you ask? His red and green Christmas ones. The majority was red with a green bow on the front that said "Open for a special present". That always got a good laugh from everyone. Andrew nudged me in the back as I looked back to see him shaking his head at me in disgust...he could only smile because he knew he was looking too. Well we changed out quickly and raced out to the gym. I beat him (as usual) as we sat down and started talking. We saw the guy sitting on the other side of the gym as he looked over at us before turning away. I took the lead as Andrew followed me over. We sat down next to him as he tried to not look nervous.

"Hey bud. You new here?" I asked. Dumb question, but how else do I start the conversation?

"Yup. Sucks to switch schools in the middle of the year."

"Tell me about it. My dad is in the army so I have to do that all the time." Andrew added in a few words as we started to talk about where he came from. We found out that he was moving from San Diego. His parents had recently divorced and he went with his mom out here.

"That sucks bud. Look, I'm Sam and this goofy guy over here is Andrew. I don't want to just come out and ask you if you want to be our friends, but we'd be glad to if you want us to."

"I didn't think it would be this fast." We laughed as he bumped fists with both of us. His name was Justin and he was a freshman just like Andrew. "You're a junior? And you want to be friends with me?"

"Why not? Nothing wrong with that is there?"

"No, but don't you think its kind of weird?"

"Not really. Andrew doesn't seem to have any problem handling it." Andrew blushed on my dirty comment as Justin and I roared with laughter. This got Andrew chasing me around the gym until others finally started to come in. He finally grabbed me and tackled me to the ground.

"You'll pay for that one, ass." He let me up just as we started to line up for warmups. Justin lined up with us. We were picking out our activities for our fourth block. Andrew was sad as the teachers made us split up. He had other friends in the class so he would manage. Not like he didn't get to see me anyway. So I ended up taking weights...with Justin. Andrew ended up taking rec. sports. Justin became good friends with both of us as I was expecting. I found that he was a playful and forceful guy, but we all got along great. We found out a lot about each other and I was in for a surprise when we had an assembly that next week.

I admit I did cop a few looks while he was lifting. He always wore sleeveless t-shirts and his shorts didn't leave much to the imagination. I did think that I was hiding those looks, but obviously not. We were let out early as we had a short day in class for the assembly. Justin took his time leaving the weight room as I waited up for him. By the time we were in the locker room, we were the only ones in there. He tackled me from behind and started to lightly slap me in the back of the head.

"Awww. Is the big bad junior getting picked on by a freshman?" He laughed as I shoved him off causing him to fall into the showers. He rolled under one of the showerheads and the water came on instantly. We started laughing, but I stopped dead in my tracks. He was soaked in water...he was wearing white...and you see where I'm going with that. I looked away as he stood up laughing. "Don't act like you haven't seen one before. You've had to have seen your buddy Andrew's."

"Huh?" I was caught off guard by that as you can imagine.

"He told me about you..."

"What the hell?" I turned away from him as I dressed in silence. I don't know why he told him that, but I felt like I had just lost a good friend in the makings.

"Don't worry about it, Sam. I'm cool with you guys. Your secret is safe with me." I dropped my shirt and turned to face him with a look of confusion. "I don't have a problem with you guys. Both of you are cool in my book."

"Are you serious?"

"Why not?"

"Are you..."

"Nope, straight as an arrow."

"Ok." It felt kind of awkward, but the three of us sat together at the assembly. Andrew must have picked up on my lost state of mind, but we had a good time. The three of us sat together at lunch as we talked it all out. The fact that he was cool with it was really surprising. He had a real tough guy attitude, and most guys I know like that don't take kindly to us gay guys. At the end of lunch, I pulled Andrew aside before we walked back into the building.

"Why did you tell him? You know that you can't..."

"Go around telling everybody that about us. Yea I know that. He asked me after he kept catching you undressing him with your eyes." I blushed as he laughed patting me on the back. "He's cool about it, and that's all that matters." I nodded in agreement as I had a little something else to tell him.

"So you do know your 49ers play my Bucs this week right?"

"Damn right...and they are going into Tampa to kick their ass." Typical talk when it came to sports. It really was a big matchup as it was a playoff game.

"How sure are you on that one?"

"Pretty sure..."

"Let's make a bet."

"Hmm, sounds fun. So what's the winner get?"

"A blowjob." I whispered in his ear. He looked at me with an evil grin.

"From Justin?" I kicked him in the ass as he lunged forward laughing.

"No silly. You know what I mean."

"Fine. You have a deal, sir."

"Winner pays up the day after the game?"

"You better believe it." We shook hands as we walked off our separate ways. I was expecting my team to win of course, but if they lost I felt that it was a justified reason to do it. I needed some motivation to push me towards it and that was just what I needed.

Much to his surprise, the 49ers got pasted 31-6. Tampa was in complete control from beginning to end and I let him hear about it that Monday. He was annoyed, but he did pay up (great again by the way) later that day when we hung out at my house. Afterwards we started talking about my lack of returning the favor.

"Ok, Andrew. Valentine's Day I'll do it ok?" I was getting annoyed by his constant pressure, but I could see why he was asking.

"I'm not really trying to force you..."

"Yet you keep asking me about it. I told you that I will when I'm ready. Is that soon enough for you?" I asked with a grin. He had trouble reading if I was being serious or joking.

"I didn't mean to get you mad."

"I'm just joking. I'll make it up to you on Valentine's Day. Sound cool?"

"Yea, but I'm not trying to force you..."

"Don't worry about it. I WANT to. The least I can do to return the favor."

Things were going pretty good between us as V-Day slowly approached. I was happy to see that my Bucs beat the Raiders to win the SuperBowl. I'm a big sports junkie so that put me on cloud nine for quite awhile. By the time that Tuesday came, I was really looking forward to seeing Andrew.

Eleven down, nineteen to go! Well I'll say you'll be very surprised by what happens on that Monday. I won't ruin it for you though. Next chapter is already done and will be up in the next 48 hours. Take care and happy reading!
