Chapter 11 ended:
John poured the Sherries and after they had sat for about half an hour sipping them down, J put his empty glass on the table and begged to be allowed to retire for the night, using those very words.
"Oh, I say, that's a bit Olde Worlde for you J." John said smiling.
"Well I kind of feel a bit Olde Worlde right now dad." J responded and then saying "good night" he took himself upstairs and was soon in his bed, with his hand wrapped around his cock and he was enjoying a euphoric wank when he fell asleep without completing the job in hand.
Chapter 12
Having fallen asleep without completing his wank the night before did nothing to prevent his morning wood and so on waking J finished off what he had failed to do before going to sleep last. Using the briefs he had discarded, when he had stripped upon returning home from school the afternoon previous, to clean up the emission his morning efforts had resulted in; J got up and put on the same shorts he had worn the evening before to go through to the bathroom to take care of all that he needed to there. Returning to his room, J lost his shorts into the pile of washing which he would take downstairs with him to put in the laundry basket by the washing machine in the scullery. Naked he made his bed and tidied the little bit he had messed up the previous day before he began to put on his uniform for school. Once dressed he put his school bag over his shoulder, picked up the small pile of laundry and made his way downstairs where he got shot of the laundry and then put his backpack in the passage near the front door. Freed of his encumbrances, he made his way back to the breakfast nook in the kitchen to eat some Muesli before heading off to catch the school bus.
While he was at school, J continued his observation of likely candidates for the gay tag, and while he felt he was getting close to having enough evidence to make a supposition, he still was not sufficiently sure of this to make an approach, and had resigned himself to having to wait till after the holidays before he could do anything. Although J longed for a sex partner, he found adequate release in his solo efforts to not be desperate and could manage to wait until he was sure because even then it would be a very brave move to make. However, during this day he found it increasingly difficult to concentrate on his observing because he had these other thoughts of the upcoming interview on Friday. Wednesday and Thursday were no better and as for Friday morning, well J found it difficult to concentrate on taking a pee let alone anything else.
Of course he needn't have worried so much, but who could have told him that in a way he would have believed it implicitly? But that afternoon, when he was let out from school, John was there, as arranged, with the car to take him straight to the judge's chambers for his interview with the judge and social worker. Once they were settled in the office, the Judge showed his authority by automatically taking charge of the proceedings.
"Julian, I will be talking to you to try and discover your true feelings, and to see if it is right for me to grant the Brackley's petition to adopt you. I will not give an answer today because Mrs Dames here and I will need to confer on the case after this interview before I can make my decision. Do you understand this?"
"Yes, I do, but I can make it a lot easier for you. I really want to be adopted by John and Jean because they are my real parents." J replied, "Oh and please if it is allowed, I would prefer it if you called me J."
The judge then turned to the stenographer and said, "Please make a note that in this conversation we will call this young man by the title he requests, but in the transcript of the interview, his full name must be written in." The stenographer nodded and tapped away at her keypad. Then the judge continued, "Thank you J, I wish it could be as easy as that but I'm afraid I still have some questions which I have to ask and for some of them, I will ask Mr and Mrs Brackley to leave the room, to ensure you are totally free to answer the questions."
"They don't need to leave the room, I am not afraid to say anything in front of them." J defended his guardians.
"I believe you are right there, but nevertheless, law demands that things be done in certain ways to ensure as far as possible the right solution is found."
There followed a series of questions, some put by the social worker, but most put by the judge surrounding how J felt about his birth mother and the foster care he had experienced so far in his young life.
Then the judge asked the Brackleys to leave the room. "Now J, I need to ask you some questions which you might find hard to answer, but I want you to take your time and do your best and most importantly to answer as fully and honestly as you can." J simply nodded in response to this.
"Ok J, you have been with Mr and Mrs Brackley for a little over 6 years am I right?" the Judge asked.
"Yes, I was 9 when I moved to them and I'm nearly sixteen now." J answered.
"Ok, during that time have either of them ever hit you?" Judge asked.
"No, not even when I deserved it." J responded.
"What do you mean by deserved it?" the social worker, Mrs Dames inquired.
"Well when I was naughty or broke something because I was careless." J answered.
"How did they punish you then?" again a question from the social worker.
"That depended on what I had done. Mostly, they would sit me down and talk to me about what I had done wrong and how that affected others, and how I must make amends by doing something else. Then I would have to apologise to the person who I had offended by what I had done, and after that I was given a bit of corner time until I got a bit older when I would have some privileges taken away for a period of time. Things like that." J told them.
"Now have either of the Brackleys done anything else to you?" the Judge asked.
"Like what?" J asked somewhat confused.
"Well made you be naked with them, or touched your privates, things like that." The judge explained.
J was shocked, "No never, they don't even come in my room without knocking and waiting to be invited in. How could you think that they would do something like that?" J almost shouted in his grief over the idea that his guardians would do something of that nature.
"It's alright J. I am sorry, I did not think they were like that, but I have to ask these questions to make sure as some people are very clever at hiding what is truly going on behind closed doors." The judge explained, "But I can see from your reaction that what you have said is true, and I am so glad for both you and them."
Finally the Judge went on to talk about his younger half brother, whom J was still to meet, and tried to ascertain how J would be sharing his parents with another person who would appear to be receiving more from the parents, simply because he was younger and so needed more help. J was honest enough to say that while the idea of having a brother excited him, he was also nervous as he had not had to think about anybody else really and had not had to share John and Jean with anyone before; concluding with, "But I will give it my all and do my best to make sure it works out. Also mum and dad will be there to point out to me when I go wrong."
The judge picked up on this and asked, "Earlier you talked about John and Jean, and now you have called them mum and dad. Can you explain this?"
"Yeah, I have called them John and Jean ever since they took me in. Then this last couple of months they explained to me how it was very difficult to adopt me, even though they would really have liked to. It was then that I realised that I wanted to be a part of them and have their name so that I would belong, and then on Monday, they told me about this interview and how because I had said I would like to be adopted, they got hold of their solicitor again with the idea of getting my birth mother to agree to a settlement to allow them to adopt me. And somehow the word mom just slipped out and they liked it and I loved it and realised that I really have them as parents, just not absolutely yet. And so I am still getting into the habit of calling them mum and dad."
"Well J, that's good and I think there is nothing more we need to talk to you about at this time. Good luck with your camp and dorm leading and I hope you will return to some good news." The Judge ended the interview and stood to open the door and call the Brackleys back into the chambers.
After leaving the Judges chambers, John and Jean announced that they had one more thing to do before they made their way home and set off in the car with J to somewhere but they would not tell J where.
There are no prizes for guessing where they are going, but I hope that by the next chapter there will be a little more action for those who need it. Please write and tell me what you think. - Rick
