Home Runs ~ Chapter 1

Jason had been working for the Diamonds, the local minor league baseball team, for almost a month now. Officially, he was the Coach's Assistant, not to be confused with Assistant Coach; basically, he was a professional towel boy. His job was to help the team out in anyway the coach thought necessary, and that meant working the locker room on game nights. It was a great job all the same though, and he couldn't deny that he enjoyed seeing all those fit guys in various stages of undress.

He had known since his senior year in high school that he was gay. He didn't hide it, but he didn't go around shouting it to the world either; he knew he was more than his sexuality. Also, he had to be careful if he wanted to achieve his goals in life. Ever since he had to stop playing baseball in college because of medical reasons, he was determined to stay involved with baseball and become a coach one day. So, when he was offered this job right out of college to work with the Diamonds, he jumped on it; he figured he would start learning the business of coaching from the ground up. That's how he found himself in the locker room that night.

Jason was always careful not to stare too much when he was in the locker room, and there was plenty to stare at. All the guys were gorgeous, especially this one guy, Michael. Michael had sandy blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, and the most amazing smile ever. On top of that, his body was well toned from years of dedicated training. It wasn't like Jason was envious of his body though, Jason was pretty good looking too; he had dark brown hair, green eyes, and he had kept in shape even after having to quit baseball. But there was something else about Michael, something that set him apart from all the other players; he treated Jason as a human equal, not as a lesser like most of the other players did. When Michael spoke to him, Jason just wanted to melt right there.

That night, Jason was waiting around in the locker room later than normal. He was really hoping to see Michael. Michael had played extremely well in that night's game, and had been drafted to stay out longer and sign autographs. All the other players had quickly showered and left already.

"Wow, I can't believe that I am going to be all alone with Michael, what a stroke of luck." thought Jason. And just then, the door opened and Michael walked in.

"Oh, I figured everyone else would have gone by now," said Michael, " since I took so long out there."

"Well, I knew you were still out there, so I figured I would make sure you were all taken care of in here. No reason you should have to pay for playing a great game."

"How sweet, you treat all the players like kings, don't you? You really think I played a great game?" Michael asked as he was slowly removing his uniform. He was already shirtless.

"Yeah, from what I saw on the monitor and when I could sneak out to watch, you were on fire tonight. And no, usually, I run out of here after most of the players are done. Just felt like waiting around to make sure you were all taken care of," answered Jason, taking out a clean towel for Michael then going to get the water warming up for him.

"Really? I get special treatment? I am flattered." Michael said walking past Jason to the shower, allowing Jason an ample view of his naked body. Jason was instantly aroused. "And I'm glad I got to see you tonight too."

These words from Michael got Jason even more excited. "Really?" he asked, a frog forming in his throat.

"Yeah, you just seem like a cool guy." was the response from Michael. "Hey, I am too pumped from the adrenaline right now to go home yet. You want to go do something after I finish cleaning up?"

By now, Jason was on cloud nine, he was actually holding a conversation with the object of so many of his dreams from over the last month. "Sure, I would love to." he barely croaked out in response. "What were you thinking of doing?"

"Well, I thought maybe we could go to a club and try to burn off some of this energy." Michael said toweling off.

This idea lowered Jason's spirits a little. "You want to try to go pick up some girls?" Jason asked.

"Well, that's not what I was thinking. I was just hoping to get to know you better."

Jason was confused, he asked, "Wait, are you flirting with me, asking me out?"

"I was trying, but I guess that just doesn't interest you. Hope I didn't creep you out, sorry."

"No, I am very interested." Jason said, moving closer to Michael who was pulling on some jeans. " I just didn't want to make a fool of myself by assuming this was more than it was. I didn't even know you were gay."

"I don't tell everyone, but I'm not a closet case either. I was taking a chance that you were, on a hunch." Michael said, giving Jason one of those heart melting smiles.

"Yeah, I totally understand, I'm the same way. And I would love to go out with you tonight." and Jason smiled back.

Just then, Michael leaned in and gave Jason a light kiss on the lips. "Sorry, I hope that wasn't too forward for me. It's just when you smile, you look so sexy."

"No, it's okay. Actually, I was thinking the same thing about your smile. And I wish you had given me a little bit more, like this." And with that, Jason returned the kiss, only deeper and with more passion. But they were interrupted by the sound of the cleaning crew coming in, so Jason quickly helped Michael into his cotton button shirt and they walked out of the locker room. Within five minutes they were in Michael's car, headed to the club. Jason was sitting up close to Michael, in the middle seat, and both of them were smiling from ear to ear.
