I FUCKING HATE HIM CHAPTER ONE

"I fucking HATE him!"

Tyler Jackson sat down in a huff and a half, furious with himself, as he took off his boots and HURLED them against the benches of the football pitch.

After failing to score for the FIFTH game in a row, he was once more subbed off for the fucking second game running, all and all to accommodate that idiot Remi Carter in their under 16 soccer match against their BIGGEST school rivals, Edgemead High School.

This wasn't just any game, this was always, but always more like World War 3 when these two teams played each other, Edgemead and Satchfield High. The two schools as well as their students of course have HATED each other for yonks, generations even before either Tyler or Remi had been born in the first place, and at this moment, star striker of the team, Tyler was going through what could only be called as a slump.

In the two years that he had been on the team, ever since he had started attending Satchfield High, he had always been the go-to dude on the team, the only player that midfielders wanted to pass the ball to, because they knew Tyler would somehow work his magic and the ball would more often than not, end up in the back of het net, as scoring goals for fun was his hobby and his so-called claim to fame at the school.

Tyler was clearly one of the most popular boys in school, but the other one, with a close second in silver medal position, had to be Remi Carter. Blond, floppy hair, a fantastic six pack teenage body for his tender age of sixteen was the order of the day, not even to mention a killer smile which could easily melt the hardest and darkest of chocolate. Which was the main reason he was so close in popularity with the kids, especially of course the girls, with his vivid good looks, which Tyler spat at, as he thought about it once more, seeing the boy he disliked with all his heart, nearly score a stunning individual goal.

Sure, Remi wasn't ugly, but Jesus, how did any boy get blessed with looks like that?

Tyler wasn't Shrek himself either, but in terms of looks alone, there was no way he, or any boy in the entire school could possibly compete with the rugged features of Remi. And Tyler HATED that. He didn't wanna admit that he actually felt threatened by the dude, because that would be showing fucking weakness. They were both on the same team, so in the end, if Remi scores, the whole team celebrates and wins...but fucking hell, being SUBBED off for Remi Carter for the second game in a row! That HURT!

A roar as big as the Coronavirus rung out suddenly and abruptly, shuddering Tyler out of his thoughts...as the crowd was going nuts because Remi had just scored, to tie up the game at 1-1 between themselves as Edgemead High.

He didn't even notice the goal being scored...FUCK!

Tyler sighed and stood up, he knew that he really should be happy about this, they were looking for about 70 minutes just to get one goal in the game, and now they got one.

As he saw Remi high five and fist bump their teammates, a feeling of pure loathing once more scraped across him...he didn't know why...or maybe he did, but he just didn't like Remi Carter at all.

He wouldn't really call it hate...but there was just something about him, that he absolutely LOATHED.

Was he jealous? Fuck no.

He just couldn't get it in his mind and soul to like him.

**

About five minutes plus the added time of three minutes was announced and the coach of Setchfield turned around and pointed his finger drastically at Tyler.

"Jackson, get your top back on, you're going back in!"

Tyler and the rest of his subs players on the bench stared at the coach as if he was suddenly naked before them, in sheer morbid disbelief...it almost NEVER happened in soccer that if a player had been withdrawn, that he would go back in again sometime in the game.

For a few seconds, Tyler almost didn't properly register what the coach had said, but then he stood up, the fire, love and passion for the sport evident inside his beautiful blue sixteen-year-old eyes, before he grabbed his shirt, pulled it over his head once more time, his black spiky hair pulling in all different directions, but in that mere moment, he didn't care one little bit.

Tyler ran onto the pitch as fast as his young, powerful legs could carry him, he knew why the coach suddenly did a one-eighty and allowed him back on the pitch...they simply needed to win this match and he was a striker...a center forward if you would...if anyone was capable of getting this much needed goal, to win the game, even with his recent morbid record, it was Tyler.

The ball came running towards Remi from the midfield, and Tyler had to admit, the dude was good with the ball at his feet, never mind how much he detested the guy. Remi flipped two of the opposing team's defenders like they weren't even there, before, with a grunt from inside his chest, passed the ball towards Tyler.

Tyler securely pushed forward, passed the last defender, before he knew and realized it was now only between himself and the goalkeeper...if he could just slot the ball into the bottom right corner...like he always did before going fucking five matches without scoring...he'd be Setchfield's hero yet again...

"FUCK! JESUS!"

A devastating and stunning save from said goalkeeper had the crowd, who had been on their feet with Tyler almost scoring GROANING with intense dissatisfaction, as many felt he had messed up their last chance that they would get to score. It was a good save by the keeper, nothing that Tyler could do about that, but the crowd wasn't going to understand that!

Tyler viciously turned around and looked to where Remi was standing, his hands on his hips, shaking his head, because the ONE chance they had to bury, wasn't taken. He was far from being the only kid on the pitch who was disappointed with the outcome of things, but for some inexplicable reason, the only person that Tyler could see, was Remi. And that BURNED a hole in his heart.

It was like Tyler's hatred of Remi had now reached fever pitch...without him having done ANYTHING, it felt like Remi was the reason that he looked like complete and utter fool now, in front of everyone. And in his mind, that all now completely fell onto Remi...

"What the fuck? Don't you just stand there and judge me! Why didn't you pass it to me sooner? You just wanted to make me look bad, you idiot!"

Remi stood there like he had been legit struck by lightning for a few seconds, before turning around to the rest of their teammates, and then back at Tyler.

"Are you serious right now? You're actually blaming me for you missing that shot? Are you actually insane?"

Tyler's fists balled up into vicious weapons, it felt like, and with the entire match now coming to a standstill, he marched up to Remi and looked him straight in the eye.

"YEAH, YOU! If you passed it to be a few seconds later, I would have scored, because the keeper wouldn't have expected it! But no, you had to be the hero and do it all on your own! FUCK YOU, REMI CARTER!"

"Dude, for real, you're embarrassing yourself, let's just get on with the game, there's only a few minutes remaining, we can still win this!"

Remi smiled at Tyler, before he turned around and ordered the troops to get back into their positions and to finish the game strongly...

...and that's where Tyler saw RED. HE was the captain of the team, he had been their leader for over two years since they all started together in the 8th grade...and now this little upstart was taking over his job! LIKE HELL!

Before he knew what he was really doing, Tyler had literally jumped onto Remi, who clearly wasn't expecting an all-out assault, and the two of them were suddenly seriously engaged in a vicious fight. Punches was thrown to every nook and cranny as neither boy was prepared to walk out of whatever this was, with the humiliation of defeat on their hands.

The kids in the stands all started chanting FIGHT...FIGHT...FIGHT, which spurred the two teens on even more, with youthful exuberance as well as testosterone BRIMMING through their sixteen-year-old bodies.

As one person, they were RIPPED apart by the coach as well as the referee, with both boys still shooting daggers at the other, wanting to desperately break free and continue with hurting each other as much as they could.

"Fuck this, coach, he started it! He's a fucking crazy lunatic!" Remi shouted, his eye swollen and his bottom lip bleeding profusely from where Tyler had attacked him.

"Take him off the team, coach, he ain't no fucking team player!" Tyler responded in his own, childish manner, now suddenly realizing just what he had started and of course, what kinda damage was going to be dealt out as a result of his actions.

"Both of you, Carter, and Jackson! I don't and I will NEVER allow fighting of any sort happening in my games! Both of you, RED CARD! OFF WITH YOU!"

The crowd BOOED that decision with everything they had inside them, but deep down both boys knew that it was the right decision. Dejected, Remi looked straight at Tyler and shook his head, angrily as Tyler had ever seen him, ripping himself lose from the coach's grip and started walking off the pitch.

Halfway off, he turned back and sneered at Tyler...

"Thanks for costing us the match. Pathetic loser!"

Tyler was too stunned and too shocked to even fathom any kind of response...he has NEVER, EVER been sent off in any games he played. He could see the disappointment in the coach's eyes, the hurt and lack of respect his teammates was now staring at him with. Like Remi, he shook lose his arms from where the referee was still holding him back from further violence, and ran towards the locker rooms as fast as his legs could carry him.

Before reaching the entrance, he slipped around the corner of the school building, where he knew he would be alone and on his own, before he balled his fists once more, and solemnly hit the brick wall, his knuckles bleeding and the pain besides anything he had ever felt.

How did this happen?

He has known Remi ever since they were thirteen years old! They were never the best of friends but they had always gotten along well, as teammates and friends who just said "hi" to each other at times...come to think of it, they shared ALL their classes together, they were always in each other's vicinity some way or another...

...Tyler wiped a few tears, which had escaped his blue eyes, angrily away, before he took a deep breath, the shock of being sent off and what he had done, attacking Remi like that, still raw inside his heart and mind.

Why didn't he like Remi? Why did he ALWAYS feel inferior to him?

Why was he the ONLY boy on the team who HATED him? There had to be a reason, but it seemed that every time Tyler laid eyes on Remi, all he wanted to do was hurt him, that feeling of distain and loathing seeped through him all the time.

He had to fix this...before either one or both had to leave the team. And he'd die before ever giving up soccer. He's gonna have to get over these feelings of hate towards Remi...some way.

**

"Nice one, Tyler. Couldn't you have waited like five more minutes before attacking your own fucking teammate?"

Tyler pulled a face and drenched both of his hands inside the pockets of his jeans. He had to force himself not to go after the little punk who just gave him a piece of his mind, with everything he had inside him.

It has been a whole week ever since the incident happened in the pitch and it was STILL all that people were ever talking about. Sometimes it felt as if it would never end.

The coach had himself and Remi sit alone inside his office and had them force to talk things over but neither boy wanted to be the first to give in. they simply sat there for over twenty minutes and near damn glared at each other, giving a whole new alternative meaning for the phrase "if looks could kill".

It didn't help either that Remi seemed to mumble that Tyler was the problem, and it had nothing to do with him, so why must he look for a way to solve things, which lit a fire inside Tyler so badly that he wanted to launch himself at the latter boy...

In the present, he looked pleadingly over to Jessie, his best friend since they were little babies, when their mom's had befriended each other in the maternity ward, and they had been close ever since, growing up. She did nothing but give him a helpless, pathetic shrug of her shoulders. He shook his head and turned away from her.

"Jess, gimme a break, please! I've had the fucking lot on my case because we ended up drawing the game and people are totally blaming me..."

"...and they'd be wrong how exactly?"

"...I'm just saying, do you see Remi getting insulted by anyone? I don't like the guy and I can't literally stand him but yeah...I shouldn't have attacked him. I don't even fucking know why I did it, just his smug face and arrogance is beyond irritating!"

Jess pulled Tyler aside where it was only the two of them, with several other teens passing by and giving Tyler death stares, before she looked him dead in the eyes and placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Don't unfriend me for this, but Remi is literally one of the nicest guys in school. It's only you that has a problem with him! I can't understand why, Ty!"

Tyler shrugged and held out his arm, to protect his eyes against the sun. He sighed and opened his mouth to answer Jess, before he randomly managed to spot Remi, walking hand and hand with Alicia towards what looked like the tuck shop...Alicia commonly known as the most beautiful girl in their grade, but she also had a cunning nickname...she was labelled as the school slut, and for a good reason. He smirked and pointed Jess in their direction.

"See that? Dunno why I'm surprised, of course Remi would be dating Alicia. She'll fuck a watermelon if she could. Dunno really what she sees in him, why Remi of all people? Why not Duncan, or Jordan or Sammy? They're hot as fuck as well."

Jess reached down and gave Tyler's hand a tight squeeze.

There was only two people in this entire world that knew Tyler Jackson was gay, and that was himself and his lifelong bestie. He had come out to her when they were both twelve years of age, when he admitted that he liked boys so much more than girls...he remembered back then, he was so upset, and so disgusted in himself, that he simply had to tell someone...just ANYONE...because there was no way he could keep it to himself.

Thank God for Jess. He loved her more than anyone in this world, but he could never love her like a real girlfriend. Between the two of them, they protected Tyler's secret as best they could...because it would NOT go down well in the soccer team, or in school in general, if Tyler Jackson came out. That was just the way it always was...you didn't break from what people in town felt was the status quo. It was still very much a fucking conservative school...need I say more?

"So, you don't think Remi is hot? For real now? I don't fucking believe that, not for a second. You literally can't be gay if you don't, just damn well LOOK at him...he's a walking orgasm..." Jess giggled, her own cheek flushing JUST a tad with a bit of reddish of colour when she laid her own eyes on the latter boy, now in a deep convo with the one and only beforementioned Alicia.

"Fuck no! Yeah, he's not ugly...I'd give him that. Just can't stand the guy and I don't think that's ever going to change. Come on, we'll be late for class," Tyler murmured before he felt Jess placed her hand inside his own, and winking at him...it was their secret and theirs alone.

**

"Alright you bunch if girls, listen up! Thanks to...certain elements happening that was beyond our control and myself having to have done a TON of explaining, the league has agreed to have us replay the game between us and Edgemead next week Friday night."

Majority of the players in the team looked straight at Tyler and some at Remi at the same time, but no teenager dared interrupted coach when he was speaking.

"So, since we obviously have to win the replay, and therefore I've organised us a little team building getaway for the coming weekend."

A flutter of excited boyish voices and laughter could immediately be heard as Remi rolled his eyes and Tyler just sat there where he had been, looking bluntly at the coach, because the very idea for both boys of spending more time together than they should, wasn't really at the top of their priorities.

"We leave on Thursday afternoon and we'll be back on Sunday late afternoon or so, and please tell your parents that its unfortunately gonna cost you all a little entrance fee as well. I wish I could all pay it out of my own pocket, but I can't...and the head of Department didn't agree to sponsor us either because of...well. But I'll settle that with the personally, please make sure I have all their numbers, right!"

Tyler sighed as he stood up, before his eyes involuntarily fell onto Remi, and whilst he was busy talking their fellow teammates Jordan and Sammy, he could have sworn the boy had a spot of worry etched on his face.

Bah! He felt the same knowing that he's gonna be spending the whole fucking weekend in his company, so he wasn't alone in that aspect.

After practise Tyler took his time, as always in getting dressed, merely because he secretly wanted to check out some of his teammates, without them ever realising.

To all the world out there, he was dating Jess, so there wasn't any reason for him to be alarmed, or for them to be suspicious. He literally drooled as Jordan took off his dirty shirt, and what's more, he ended up wiping his sweat off his torso with it

...man...

Tyler turned away as quick as his could, under the impression he needed to take a piss. And just in time too...his sixteen-year-old dick was straining his shorts so hard; it would have been impossible to hide! He had numerous wet dreams about Jordan and especially about Sammy in the past, each and every time waking up with a desperate groan as he could so vividly remember sucking their dicks and swallowing every single drop of potent teenage boy sperm he could possibly muster.

And then discovering it was all a dream, nearly killed him. Like, every damn time.

Once he was done with his shower, and loving every moment of taking silly looks at the dicks of his young teammates, Tyler smirked to himself and sighed at the same more, more sarcastically than anything else...he could only ever fucking dream of actually dating any of them...or kissing any one of them...of just BEING with any of them intimately.

He didn't know for how long Jess was actually going to be willing to keep up the pretence of being his girlfriend...he knew that she had feelings for Jordan and he knew the looks she secretly gave Remi when she thought no one was watching...she never said it, but not everyone had known her, her whole life like he did.

There was going to be a time where she wanted a real boyfriend.

Fuck this...why did he have to be gay, and not Sammy or Jordan, or Duncan or even fucking Remi, come to think of it? Why him? Why me?

This just wasn't fair...over the years Tyler had tried jerking off to straight porn...he'd always end up with his eyes launched completely on the naked body and dick of the dude in the video...he even tried lesbian porn, but that flopped massively. Literally.

As he turned around the corner in order to say goodbye, and his massive thanks to the coach for giving him a second chance and getting the game replayed, he noticed that someone was in there with him. As the voices came ever so closer, he realised that it was the coach and Remi, and they were talking about what sounded like the upcoming weekend trip.

"Are you sure, Remi? I need you and Tyler to be one person on that pitch, this whole idea was to bring YOU two closer together! Now all of a sudden, you're saying you can't go?"

Typical...Tyler sneered and rolled his own eyes as a token of the situation being lame as. Too scared to fucking face him, of course. Man, he never thought Remi was this much of a wimp. He should just take his film star handsome looks and join the fucking drama club. Deffo didn't need losers like him on the pitch and especially not as his strike partner in a game.

Tyler tightened his grip on his backpack, before he heard Remi respond...

"Coach you don't understand and...It's not like I don't WANT to go. I literally can't. My mom...my mom ain't gonna have the money to pay for me going...shit...Coach, I didn't wanna bring this up, but MAN, I don't want you to think I'm a wuss either! It's like me and Tyler have known each other for ages, but we don't get on, never have and never will, and that's fair and all, and I WANT to try and fix it, if he'll ever stop being a dick, but...I just...there won't be any money for a weekend away, not right now..."

Tyler stood still where he was for just a moment, before he frowned.

He tried to swallow his saliva, but for some reason there was suddenly a big ball of nothingness lodged inside his throat. His eyes blinked a couple of times, as he remembered the sincerity and the desperation inside Remi's voice.

It was the fourteenth of the month. A time where a family should still have some money inside their bank account...the amount for each of them to go on the team building weekend wasn't that much...or at least, he didn't think it was.

Then again, with a doctor for a father and a lawyer for a mother, he never really ever had to worry about where money was coming from...it had always just BEEN there. Without any question whatsoever.

He knew Remi long enough to remember that his father passed away a few years ago. And you just had a listen to Remi's voice to know that he wasn't lying when he said there was no money to go on the trip.

All of this, because he a problem with Remi. He attacked Remi on the pitch, forcing the game to be replayed. This was down to him.

Pursing his lips together and blinking a fair few more times, he walked softly out of the office and down to the outside area, where he could already see his mother's car waiting to pick him up. There were no other vehicles in the parking as far as he could see apart from coach's SUV...not one other.

Which undoubtedly meant that Remi probably had to be walking home. In this insane 34-degree heat they were now having, after already having a long ass day in school and in soccer practice.

A sound behind him had him turn around in fright, mid thought, as he saw Remi fling his own backpack over his shoulder as he too left the school offices and frowned, as he saw Tyler just...seemingly standing there, and looking at him.

"Take a picture, might last longer..." Remi murmured before he tried to get past Tyler, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. Remi turned around and rolled his eyes, as he saw that Tyler was the one gripping him, stopping him from leaving.

"Dude, I'm so not in the mood, what the hell do you want?" Remi asked, his eyes as tired as Tyler had ever seen them, and for the first time really, ever since they have known each other, Tyler realised that Remi's eyes were green. Almost emerald green, which collided perfectly with his blond hair.

Taken away for just a moment, by something he didn't quite have the name for, Tyler paused, before he slightly lost his grip on Remi's arm.

"It's just...I'm...Well, I guess I'm sorry for being a brat these past couple of weeks. I really don't know why I jumped you on the pitch the other day..."

"Fuck off, man. And stick your fucking lame ass apology where the sun doesn't shine. Thanks to you, I have to go to this team building thing, and it's not like me and my mom has..."

Remi stopped himself just in time, swallowing slowly, before running his fingers through his beautiful blond hair, and of course Tyler knew what he wanted to say, but the other boy kept his dignity and proudly stood up to the latter.

"Save it, dude. I don't like you, and you don't like me, I can't do anything to fucking change that. Just...just stay out of my way, okay? Got it? Good."

Remi was halfway down the stairs before Tyler once more found his voice...

"Remi, do you...I mean...?"

"Do I want, Tyler? What's your problem, I have to get home!"

Tyler blinked and swallowed. Here we go, open goal.

"Yeah...yeah, that's what I meant, my mom has parked just over there, we can give you a lift home, if you want?"

Remi's eyes immediately gave away that he wasn't going to say no, at least not at once, but he seemed to think it over for a bit, taking a few seconds to stare intently at Tyler, before pursing his lips and shaking his head.

"Nah, it's fine. No, really. I don't wanna owe you anything."

And with that, Remi turned away from him, noticeably slumping his shoulders, before taking a quick look at where Tyler's mom had parked, before heading out of the school gates.

"Who was that you're talking to, just now?" Lydia Jackson asked before she kissed her son, and got the car started, ready for take-off.

Tyler sat in silence for a while, as he had an idea where Remi lived, and it HAD to be nearly a thirty-minute walk, give or take. All that way and time to get home, and then he still had to do homework and study for tomorrow's English paper...meanwhile Tyler himself would be home in a matter of minutes.

His parents had money to send him to a team building weekend, the amount that was needed was quite literally pocket change to them, whereas Remi's mom didn't even have that, overall, in her bank account.

Fuck...he HATED feeling this raw and sore about what he had just heard...he hated feeling that he was somehow responsible for all of this...but then again, it wasn't HIS fault that the Carters weren't financially well off either.

And what he was totally forgetting, as his brain tried it's best to find more and more reasons to justify not feeling bad about all of this, Remi wasn't an angel, by any means...he strutted in the locker room, he always had people around him, he was well liked, popular...and let's face it...he was the sexiest, most beautiful teenage boy that Tyler had EVER seen on the face of this green earth.

And it fucking killed his insides to actually admit it.

"Tyler? I asked you a question! Who was the kid you were talking to and have me wait for you here for hours?"

Hours...more like a few minutes. But okay...

"He's...just a teammate from the team, Mom."

As they drove home, Tyler felt sick, as he heard Remi's voice echoing in his ears...those words he told coach...Jess telling him that Remi was one of the nicest kids you could ever meet.

And he's been treating him like shit, just because...was it jealously? Was it because Rei could do ANYTHING that he could, perhaps ever a bit better? Was it because he was going through slump on the pitch where he hasn't scored for FIVE games now...meanwhile Remi Carter has been banging them in left, right and centre?

Tyler shook his head.

He thought he hated Remi. He thought there was no way they could EVER sort things out between them...that the rivalry simply ran too deep.

All of a sudden...he wasn't that sure about any of that...any more.
