I was up early and made coffee for 2 then jumped in the shower. Clothes were jeans and a golf shirt with a VT logo. Trey was ready and full of tournament news. Cole had shot 71 and Couples was in the lead with a 67. He had a one stroke lead over 5 others and Cole was tied for 11th. The projected cut is at +2 but it's very early. JJ was right on time and our bags were thrown in the bed of the truck and we were off to the airport. At the airport JJ went inside and filed the flight plan and I started the pre-check. I knew things were good as the jet was recently gone over by the Major. I wondered when he would relax about JJ and I flying this thing. The fuel truck arrived and we chatted and watched as the jet was fueled. When JJ returned he did a quick check of the shit that I had already checked and I was shaking my head as I wanted in the air. By the time we finished both preflight checks everyone was there. The cargo hatch was opened and when I loaded two suitcases in Winnie was less than happy but I had a lot going on and it wasn't all Cole and golf, just mostly Cole and golf. Once everyone was onboard JJ and I checked the cargo space and moved a few things around and made sure the hatch was secured. JJ went in first and started the pre engine start routine and I stopped in the cabin and explained that air time to Orlando was two hours and fifteen minutes and we would get everyone a weather forecast as we got closer. I asked everyone to buckle in and told them that we would let them know when they could unbuckle. I asked that there not be a lot of people roaming around as space was limited and the seats were more than comfortable. With that I joined JJ who was ready for engine start. I checked the right side and it was clear and it started right up. Same with the left engine and JJ contacted Allegheny ground and we were cleared to taxi. At the runway we were immediately cleared for take off.
Once in the air JJ headed SSW. I reached beside JJ and pulled out his log book with the IFR flight plan. He looked over, smiled and I heard in my head set, well it's about time. I shrugged and started to look at the details. Very soon we would be going south and we would be avoiding the Charolette and Atlanta airports and yet be East of Pensacola airport and West of Jacksonville. I checked the instruments again and we were at 40,000 feet with no traffic in sight or on the radar, well except for the line of commercial flights going to various Florida airports. Then I saw we were not landing at Orlando International but at Orlando Executive Airport. This was the old airport and I was glad. I asked if he wanted a break and ll JJ said was nope. Then JJ asked so MJ are you going to hire that California dude? JJ I think so, it's that a problem for you? JJ laughed and said not but I'm betting he will be a problem for you. JJ why would you think that? MJ he is the youngest of three sons and he was born to find ways to beat the system. From day one he would watch what was going on and learn exactly what buttons to push to get what he wanted. Hell what did it take, three days to get his rents out of the picture? I laughed and said about that long. JJ laughed and said he has spent about that long observing you and by the end of the weekend he will be managing you? I almost fell out of my seat laughing and JJ said well if he signs a contract I'll bet he don't last a month. JJ, that's a fucking bet. JJ laughed and said dude, I'll take that break now so it's your jet. I flew for the next 45 minutes and JJ took over in plenty of time to contact Orland Executive Airport. He requested a ATIS Report and the weather was fine and not much wind at all. I then informed the passengers about the weather. We merged into the pattern and were 5th for landing. It was unusually busy as it was Tournament week. Once on the ground JJ was told that there was a space reserved for us and it was beside a plane with the tail number N1AP. Hearing that on my headset I just laughed and thought well I know where I'll be tomorrow morning.
Once we were situated and JJ and I had completed the shutdown procedures I opened the door and everyone got out. We had nothing to do to the jet as the ground crew was already there. I opened the cargo hatch and just as I did that a coach arrived to pick us up. When the driver got out I introduced myself and we shook hands. He said why don't you all get in the coach and I'll load the luggage. I looked right at him and said Paul you can put the luggage in the Coach but we are all grown assed people and we will bring it to you to load. He smiled and said great. I did notice Trey looking a bit surprised at that. On the way to the jet I walked by Trey and said everyone fetches their own shit, never an exception and I went the the cargo hatch and grabbed mine. With out anything being said everyone did the same. With our luggage being loaded we piled in the coach which had about 20 very comfortable seats and I sat with Winnie and I was glad to see that Jessica and Trey had separate seats as JJ was with the new girl, Emily. Kyle was seated as expected with his wife. The trip took about 35 minutes and as we got closer to the Resort the congestion picked up. We didn't go threw the main gate but the driver knew what he was doing and we were quickly at the entrance to the Lodge. I checked in at the registration. I had 7 rooms and one was a bit away from the others and a dit nicer and I gave that room to Kyle and his wife. Other keys were passed out and Winnie's and mine were next to each other and I was sure there was a door between them. Same for JJ and Emily. I had no idea where Cole was staying and Jessica and Trey were given rooms that were separated by my rooms. We all went to our room as and I noticed Trey simply opened the doors to his room, pushed the luggage in and never went in. I opened Winnie's door and handed her her key and went to my room, I made sure the adjoining door was unlocked on her side and went to my room. I immediately opened the door separating our room and joined her. We ended up on the bed and made out for a bit but my phone rang and it was dad. He said that they were about to have lunch and asked that I join them and I said fine but I'm bringing Winnie. Dad's only reply to that was that Cole has a 12:54 tee time and Megan wants to see the entire round. I simply said well I'll see most of his round and I'll be at the restaurant in 10 minutes, I need to change and I hung up.
Winnie said Mick be nice Megan has to be nervous and I'm guessing your dad is as well. Winnie, change into something comfortable especially the shoes as we will be walking 4 or 5 miles and we need to get to the restaurant. Dad and Megan were sitting with a bit of a view of the 18th green and they were wearing matching running suits and a Callaway polo shirt. When I got to the table I laughed asked if they were on a date and going to a amusement park. Megan shook her head and said well here you are, Mr. Low key wearing a USGA shirt and in case that wasn't enough under the logo is EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. I shrugged and said well you never know when I might need something, besides I didn't have much time to get here. The waiter came and handed Winnie and I a menu and stood there waiting for us to order. We both ordered I iced tea and a club sandwich. Dad and Megan had already ordered. While we waited for the food Megan kept looking at her watch. I finally laughed and said mom, looking at it won't make it go faster. This is round 2 and he did well yesterday. Mike, I need to get there early as his gallery is very big and it's hard to see him. Mom, watch him tee off and then watch him on TV and follow him on the back 9. Mike, I'm not doing that. I shrugged and said mom, he has this. Just the our drinks came and dad's and Megan's food came as well. The waiter said guys, you sandwiches will be along very quickly.
Dad and Megan ate in silence and dad hadn't even said hello yet. Thankfully our server was correct and our sandwiches appeared and we all ate in silence. We finished eating and it was 12:30 and I knew Cole would be on the putting green and I asked Megan to relax and added, dad that means you as well. Winnie and I simply left the bill for dad and we went outside. We simply headed for the putting green. I didn't want to bother Cole but I got Liam's attention and he came over and said that Cole was good and had a good warmup. Liam seemed off and I asked if he was ok? Mike, I'm ok and I need to be as there isn't another option. Liam, call me if you get sick or need help. Liam replied sure and went back to Cole.
Winnie and I just watched Cole putt and we did so from a distance as I was not hovering. We then tried to get to the tee and that wasn't possible as it was packed. We went about 40 yards down the fairway, as that was as close as we could get. Cole was introduced and there was a loud cheer and some laughter. I could see his usual pre shot routine. The drive was good, right of center and rolled into the first cut. It should be fine but it wasn't on the fairway. Cole was dressed in +4's that were the Miami Dolphin colors. Yesterday I was told was the Pittsburgh colors. The only concession to Callaway was the clubs, the bag and Callaway was written on the back of his hats. Cole walked to his ball and was never more that 5 yards from the ropes. He chatted with people but was at his ball ready to play. Liam was doing ok and I put him out of my mind. It went on like this for 9 holes. Cole hit his second shot on the green but it like 30 feet and I was figuring it was a two putt par. When he hit the first putt there was a loud groan as it circled the cup and stopped 2 inched behind the hole and that was followed by a more than polite applause. It was a zoo as his following was multiple times bigger than anyone else had. You couldn't get near him unless you waited along the ropes a hole ahead and hoped that was the side he walked down. He played a solid front and had 2 birdies and a bogey so he was 1 under for the day and -2 for the tournament. That would easily make the cut but there was a lot of golf left today.
Winnie had had enough golf and left for her room. I looked at the scoreboard and Fred Couples was already finished and he was leading at 136 which was 8 under par. That put Cole 6 stroked behind but at the same time he was in position to make the cut and do very well. Larry Nelson was in second at 139 which was -5. Well there were still 9 holes to go and Cole was in a good position. Cole birdied #10 but had a bogey on #12. I let him go and watched some others and thought Cole was as good as they were, it would all depend on the 6" between his ears. I picked Cole up as he parred #15. Walking to the 16th tee. Liam dropped the clubs and fell to his knees and emptied his guts. Cole turned around and ran to Liam and called for help. They brought water and Liam tried to get up and couldn't. He was helped into a golf cart and taken to the medical tent. Cole simply picked up his clubs and a tournament official came up to Cole and said if he didn't get to the tee there would be a penalty as he was behind. Cole shook is head and kept walking and all of a sudden he stopped and looked at the official and said, I just lost my Caddie to a medical issue and you want to give me a penalty. You know what, I don't care but before you do that you need to take a deep breath and think what will happen the instant you announce that. Then there will be my comments to the press. I'll be ready to play as soon as I get to the tee. Please take a minute and think about the issue. Another official and went up to Cole and said Cole, I got this and you are good, take your time.
On the tee there was more drama as someone was having a discussion with a marshal. Cole was called over and he was asked if he knew the guy. Cole actually smiled and said yes, that's Trey and he could definitely help me right now. Cole was now up and Trey handed him a putter. Cole just laughed and Trey and him had a conversation and Trey uncovered his driver and said hit it you average today, don't try to over hit it. You should have 200 yards to the hole. Cole took a deep breath and did the pre shot thing and hit a slight draw right down the middle. Trey took the club and patted Cole on the back and this time Cole walked down the middle of the fairway. The hole was a 511 yard par 5 with a stream in front of an elevated green. Cole was longer than both his playing partners so he was hitting last. Trey and Cole were in a discussion and I was wondering why that was going on as Cole had scouted this hole and had plated it 5 or 6 times. One player layer up and the other hit it on the green but it was 60 or 70 feet away. Cole reach into his bad and took a 5 iron and it needed to cover 185 yards and hit soft. This shot would be the tournament as if he hit it in the water the cut was no longer a sure thing anything else even a par and things would be good. What Cole did was hit a rocket the landed on the front of the green and it took one bounce and stopped 5 feet from the pin. The place erupted and the cheer was so loud it stopped play three holes away. Cole had a long wait as the playing partners had to finish. He took very little time and drained the eagle putt. He was now -4 and and one stroke out of second. Cole easily parred 17 and made a 10 foot putt on 18 for a par.
Cole was mobbed trying to get off the course and he needed to sign his scorecard. Security was right there and they got him in the scoring tent. When that was completed Cole had to meet with the media. His new agent had it set and instead of multiple media interviews it was all the media at one time. Cole sat at a table behind a microphone smile and said good afternoon. Before you ask Liam is in the hospital suffering from dehydration and food poisoning, it's a good thing we don't like the same things but he didn't eat hear last night and I have no idea where he was as I was with my parents and my agent. He will not be available tomorrow but we will see about Sunday. The first question was about the discussions with the Official on the 16th tee. Cole said he was doing his job and I pushed back. It was an unusual situation and both of us could have been more professional. Cole, who was the replacement caddie? That was Trey Sheffield and he as you must have guess is from California. He caddied for my stepbrother Mike in the Charity event we played at Pebble Beach. He talked me into going for it on 16, he was very persuasive. The last two holes are very difficult and I was safely in the field for the weekend, baring a disaster, so was going to lay up. It turned out I hit the best 5 iron of my life and the entire tournament was at risk with that shot, well for me. I'm at 140 but damn, Fred will be hard to beat. Cole are you saying you can't win? All I said was that Fred would be hard to beat. I'm currently tied for 3rd, I've won a tournament, I finished second in Hawaii. This is a different tournament, an elite field and a course that keeps you focused or it bites you in the ass. So far I'm up to the challenge, but there is a lot of golf left to be played. Then Cole said one more question as I should be signing autographs. Then the ESPN guy said Cole, that brings up a good point, you have developed a huge following why do you interact with the spectators like you do? Do you feel that it is a distraction to your playing partners and can you explain your outfits? Cole laughed out loud and said, well that's three questions but it's cool. I interact with the folks as nothing here is inexpensive and we are treated like exhibits at the zoo. People watch us and are quiet when we hit shots. We are distant and pretty much ignore them, I won't do that and I want to play, I want to win but I Lao want to grow the game. As for my playing partners, you will have to ask them. I would like to point out that Liam and I are very respectful and make every attempt to quiet the masses as they get ready to hit. Also, we are very traditional in our approach once we are on the green. As for my dress, I simply refuse to dress like everyone else and it would upset me to get on the first tee and be wearing the same shirt as my opponent. In the unlikely event this becomes the style, I'll simply change to something else. Thank you and I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Golf was over for the day and I needed to shower and figure out what, if anything, we were doing for dinner. I stopped at the desk and told them who I was and asked if there were any messages for me. It turned out I was handed a box and was told that this had arrived around 2:00. I said thanks and grabbed the box and went to my room. I threw the box on the bed, stripped and jumped into the shower. I had just dried off and was looking in the mirror deciding if I should shave and the door to Winnie's room opened and she smiled and said Mick, this is perfect as neither of us to get undresses. I looked and she was wearing a robe which she simply let fall to the floor. She ran over and jumped in my arms and that lead to a very sweaty and intense yet romantic couple of hours. We were laying in bed just talking when JJ called and said that he had dinner reservations for 4 in the restaurant and that they were in my name and he would see us there in an hour. So JJ why are the reservations in my name if you made them? JJ laughed and said well when I called saying I was JJ Messer they were booked. I waited 10 minutes and said I was Mike Simmons, I had my pick of times. I laughed and said, we will see you later and I hung up. Winnie went to her room as we both needed a shower.
I was quickly showered and I dressed in khakis and a long sleeved VT shirt and. Blue blazer and casual shoes. With time to spare I opened the box and there were two Cessna shirts, different sizes, and an itinerary. I needed to be in the lobby at 7:00 AM and would start filming the info commercial at 8:00 and be back at the lodge no later that 10:00. There were info points about the jet and topics that would be discussed and yet no script for me. I just tossed the stuff on the bed and knocked on the door to Winnie's room. She was dress in a very casual blue skirt and had on a white VT shirt and looked stunning. We went to the restaurant and JJ was there dressed very similar to me and Emily was very nicely dressed as well. We went up to the reception counter and the young guy looked at us smiled and said Mr. Simmons please follow me. JJ just laughed and we were taken to a special section of the dining room. As we walked to our table I saw AP and his wife Winnie as they were having drinks, I went over and thanked him for the accommodations and as I didn't want to disturb them, I said that I would see him in the morning. Cole was there with Jessica and mom and dad. I padded Cole on the back and said, Great job today, Pro. He smiled and asked if we could talk after dinner. I said sure but can you get away from your adoring fans. Cole smiled and said, I hope so as I have cramps in my hand from all the autographs. Dude, have your agent manage that and I went to our table. Winnie and Emily were seated together and everyone had a menu. So what did you guys order me to drink? JJ said the waiter didn't ask for a drink order. Just then a young lady, a little older than us appeared with drinks. It was an Arnold Palmer for JJ and I and white wine with an umbrella in it made to look like a Shirley Temple. Out teas was spiked. As she was leaving she said compliments of the boss. I looked over and waved to AP and got a thumbs up. The teas were spiked with vodka and they were strong but very very good. Dinner was absolutely fantastic and had a great time and JJ ordered drinks and the same thing came and I was thinking I better not order another one. Desert was a giant slab of cheesecake. We were going to go for a walk and I noticed that Cole stood up shook hands with dad and gave Megan a hug.
Guys, Cole needs to talk and I'll catch up or you can wait for me on the veranda. MJ call it what you want but it's a damn patio with a roof. I shrugged and headed towards Cole. We hugged and he said MJ, let's go outside as I need to get away from people. Outside Cole kept walking on the veranda/patio with a roof and in the far corner and not under the roof were 4 chairs and a small table. We sat down and I asked Cole, how are you? He laughed and said MJ, I haven't a fucking clue. If you would have told me Wednesday evening that after two rounds on this course and with this field I would have suggested psychologist. Yet here I am tied for 3rd with no caddie, having played the last 3 holes 2 under par. MJ, no one has done that this week even in practice. So Cole, what about a caddie? MJ, Trey is good in many ways but I don't know how he knows this course like he does. Cole, he was given a course book by his pro and until,I saw him on 16 I haven seen him since we checked in. I'm betting he was out on the course. Cole why on 16 did you walk down the middle of the fairway alone? MJ, I was mentally getting ready to go for the green. By the time I got to the ball I was set on 4 iron. The big discussion was what club. I made up a story for the media. By the time I was done fighting with Trey over the club selection I was so pumped up I just needed not to over swing. MJ, I might never hit a 5 iron that good again. MJ, there is a lot of gold to be played and 4 stroked isn't a lot to mKe up unless Fred goes low then it's game over and he is an easy winner. Cole what are your goals at this point? MJ right now it is do do what I'm doing and as Liam and I discussed take a few more chances. When I came here I wanted to make the cut, I did that. Tomorrow the course will be harder and faster and the pins will be in more difficult places. I want to stay the course. MJ, a top 5 finish would put me on the map. I'm having breakfast with Trey tomorrow, then I'm hanging out with Jessica and I have a 2:10 tee time. I'm third from last and it would be super cool to be in the last group on Sunday. Ok Cole, what can I do? Cole smiled and said just be Mike and be there if I somehow implode tomorrow. We hugged and went our separate ways and I was sure Cole was spending the night with Jessica. Me I was hoping Winnie had had enough this afternoon and JJ and I could be together. I smiled to myself and thought it will be what it becomes.
I caught up with JJ and the girls as they were watching of the Professionals practice his putting. We walked on the cart paths brown the first hole then down the second hole and as it was getting dark we simply turned around. Back at the lodge Winnie said Mick, this is the most exercise I have gotten in a long time and I'm very tired, how about I see you for breakfast? Winnie that would be great, I'll see you at 6:00. Mick, does that hour even exist why so early. Babe a commercial at the airport. She shook her head and said well if your back we can have lunch. Emily whispered something in JJ ear and he chuckled and the girls were off to their rooms. JJ said let's go to the bar and see what kind of Arnold Palmer's we can get. I shrugged and we went inside. The bar was packed and we sat at a table. When the waitress came over we ordered the drinks and when they came JJ tasted his and said, damn it's tea. We finished our drinks and went to JJ's room. I threw my jacket on the chair and sat on the bed and he sat beside me and he leaned in and we started making out. We were all over each other as it had been a few day since were were together, well like this. Our shirts came off and neither of us were wearing an undershirt. I reached for JJ's belt buckle and did that and then the button his pants. I was pissed there were still shoes on and I jacked them off and grabbed the cuffs of his pants and pulled as hard as I could and tossed them on the floor. JJ was just laying there and I got beside him on the bed and we kissed but this was fun so I started kissing his neck and then moved to his ear. Then I whispered in his ear, dude you make me horny and damn I fucking love you. Before he could say nothing I kissed him again and at the same time I was stroking his very hard cock. I moved to his nips and he started to say something and I bit down a bit and he yelped a bit. I moved to the other nip and then down to where his underpants were and started to lick his cock through the pants. I lost interest in that and pulled the underpants off and went down on his cock right to the root. I gaged a bit and pulled back and did it over and over again until I could hold all of his cock in my mouth and not gag. I stood up and stripped and started on his cock again getting it all wet and I would spit on my hand and while I sucked his cock, I was lubing my ass with the spit. All of a sudden I could taste JJ's pre cum and I knew he was close. I spit the pre cum in my hand and rubbed it in my hole and got on top of JJ and eased his cock in my ass. I leaned forward and said, dude any time now you can move. He laughed and started I king and fuck it was an awesome ride that ended with JJ shooting a load in my ass. I simply collapsed on him and his cock, now soft, slid out of my ass.
We were laying on the bed facing each other and our noses were almost touching we kissed some more. JJ still looking at me said MJ and I stopped and said JJ I didn't let you talk because I knew what you were going to say. I know you love me but hearing it out loud right after I had said it to you make it very real and very complicated. I kissed him again and said JJ's I'm ready for complicated but not here and not right now. He smiled pushed on my back and licked my cock and balls then flipped me on my back and his tongue was all over my hole. He then returned to my cock and he took my shaft to the root and I exploded. There was a slight smile and we kissed and shared my load. It was the perfect end to the day. We laid together for a while and finally I got dressed and went to my room.
