"That's a wrap up guys! Excellent job, all of you did just great!" Finally, after an excruciating hour of putting the final touches on the performance I would be giving tomorrow night along with the other singers; our director had decided we were ready. What a relief.

"Jaden, if you don't mind, I just need to talk to for a second. Cool?"

"No problem, what about?"

"I would rather discuss it under more private terms." That definitely perked up my attention.

"Alright, I'm ready whenever you are."

"All right, come on back with me." He and I both entered the office in the building, cozily decorated and furnished. A huge oak desk sat in the corner, with an old, antique chair. On the opposite wall, sat a couch and some more modern items.

"Your singing has gotten much better. It's definitely getting better every time I head you practice. I'm just concerned about you."

"Sir, I'm fine. I already told you, if I need anything, I will ask."

"I just don't feel good making you live all by yourself."

"It's actually not that bad."

"Ok, just know that I'm always here for you."

"Thanks Brian, but you worry too much, and all for waste too."

"It's my job. Anyway, have you thought about what you wanted to do for your 16th birthday party?"

"Not really, just hand out."

"But it's your sweet 16."

"Oh well, it's too late anyway. My birthday is tomorrow, so it's too late to plan anything and get everyone ready tonight."

"Ok then, take care of yourself. I'll see you later Jaden."

"Later man." And off I went, down a deserted street and up another to where my apartment was. It was a pretty nice place, in the more upper-class part of the neighborhood, yeah, the place where all the snobs and morons live. But the place has a soothing effect to me. There's a park close by, about a block off that I almost go to every chance I get, or at least once a day. I slowly proceeded up the stairs and up to the door of my apartment. Opening the door, I proceeded in and immediately slumped into the chairs. Eventually, I got around to making some dinner and then off to bed it was. Tomorrow would definitely be an interesting day, I mean, it's not everyday that you turn 16.

"And so it begins."

"The beginning and the end."

"The middle to follow."

"The alignment of the planets, stars, and powers."

"The awakening of the one who is power itself."

"And all others."

"Tomorrow, the alignment will complete its first phase and a subconscious change of the planet Earth to accommodate harmoniously, the chose one."

"Followed next day by the second phase' completion and physical changes."

"And finally, a week later, the third phase and full completion of the alignment. The manifestation of powers."

It was in my dreams that I seemed to be looking at the strangest thing. As if watching Earth from the outside, as if from space. I turned my head a little to the right and was shocked silly at the sight of the other planets. The first 3 seemed to be lining themselves up in a perfect straight line. The other 6 didn't seem to be far behind. Deep within me, something was stirring. Something I had never felt before, something that seemed terribly powerful. What the heck is going on, I thought.

"Mam, we are picking up very odd readings on a particular mutant case that we have been monitoring closely for the past week. His powers should start manifesting themselves tomorrow, the day he turns 16." As two eyes were glued to a strange recording device of some sort, the man monitoring called our slowly and excitingly.

"Name?" The voice was commanding yet gentle, strict yet lenient, strong yet loose, almost as if afraid to do harm anything, but knowing you have to do something.

"Jaden Austin Dinz."

"Location?"

"Suburbs of Washington D.C."

"Good, I'll deploy our latest graduates to the task. Argor, do bring them to me."

"As you wish," replied the man, apparently called Argor.

"Attention all recent graduates. Proceed to the preparation room for your new mission. This is an immediate order." And soon enough, the hallways were filled with people as they scurried to some location known as the preparation or prep room.

"Welcome everyone. I hope you are doing fine. We are picking up some odd readings on a mutant that we have been following closely for the past week. Tomorrow, or in 2 hours, is when the crossover is. I'm sorry for making you work so late, but this is something that must be covered. Are there any questions?"

"Who exactly are we look for and what powers do they exhibit?"

"His name is Jaden Austin Dinz."

"You mean the new singer that just released his first album and is performing in an international concert tomorrow night!?"

"He is the only Jaden Austin Dinz I know. As for powers, we are currently unsure; we would have to have a blood sample to verify exactly."

"Is there anything else we need to know?"

"Yes, stay out of sight. Do not confront him in anyway, not that you can with all the security that's placed around him. Guess being famous does have its perks."

"We're off then?"

"Yes. Delvin, take control."

"Yes Mam." And off the students went a group of 20, to the locker rooms, the girls to the female, and the boys to their male. After being suited up, they turned together and debated on the best way to get them to their location.

"Jets and the helicopter are too conspicuous."

"True, but we can't take the cars; it would be weird driving out this late."

"There's only one option left." All eyes turned toward a girl who just stared back.

"You can't be serious?"

"But it's the only way."

"No, there has to be some other way. There's no way in this world that I could transport all of us to Washington D.C."

"You won't know if you don't try. If it gets bad, you can just drop us at the farthest place you can take us to and we can work up from there."

"Or you can just take a group of us there, come back, and take another group, and so on until everyone is there."

"That would take out too much of me. I think we should just try as a whole group. All right guys, I've never done this kind of thing before so work with me here." And soon enough, the bodies of the young men and women, barely 19, disappeared and reappeared in Washington D.C.

"You did it! See, I told you, you could do it."

"Yes, but I feel like I'm about to collapse." And collapse she did, but luckily, her friends caught her and one of the men put her on his back and they all started walking down, toward the town-house of Jaden.

Once there, they each split up and took up different areas of the area. Silhouetted by the darkness, they hid easily among the shadows, waiting patiently.

"Uggh." I slammed my fist down on the alarm clock. I swear, that thing can wake up the dead. Slowly, I trotted myself over to the bathroom and took care of morning necessities. I looked over my schedule and figured out that I had nothing to do until about 4 in the evening, at which time I would need to be at the concert. I was very nervous because it was my first concert ever, and even more, some of the most famous singers were going to be there. I would also have to sing with them, I just crossed my fingers and hoped I wouldn't make a fool of myself in front of the whole world. I got to breakfast and started making some biscuits for myself and let my mind wander....

That dream! What the heck was that dream? Hmm....very weird. I turned on the news and listened over the general stuff.

Breaking NEWS! Japan, China, South Africa, Chile, and other countries today were hit with major torrential storms, tsunamis, and hurricanes, as well as some of the strongest and largest tidal waves ever seen in history. Scientists are still debating over what the cause maybe, but one scientist has claimed that it has begun. We are currently unsure of exactly what has begun, but we will keep you updated anytime we learn something new. Stay tuned, and now, back to your original news.

What the Hell? What was going on?

"Mam, we have lost all signals on the mutant case Jaden Austin Dinz."

"What? Why?"

"We are unsure of why Mam."

"Pull up his past records."

"We tried that already Mam, but everything is gone. Almost as if it never existed."

"Damnit. Argon, contact Delvin and find out what is going on."

"At once."

"Delvin. Come on. This is Argon from HQ."

"Hear you loud and clear. What's up my man?"

"It's about Jaden, is anything weird going on there?"

"Nothing, should we take a closer look?"

"Yes, be very careful."

"Why? Is something wrong?'

"We have lost all current signals as well as past records on him."

"What the fuck? I'm on it."

"Be careful Delvin. Remember, these troops have placed their life in you hands."

"Will do. Delvin out."

"HQ out." Delvin moved surreptitiously toward the apartment, making sure to stay out of the sight of the guards, which was rather easy to due to his ability to blend in with his surroundings, becoming practically invisible. He slipped past everyone and made it to the door. Taking a quick look around he proceeded to pull out of his bag, a lock-picked.

<Delvin, where are you?>

<I'm out at the door. Argon asked me to make sure Jaden is ok. Stay put. I'll be back, soon.> Delvin proceeded on to pick the lock and slowly pushed the door open. Once inside, he immediately closed to door and turned around. Suddenly, the room faded and reappeared, and shimmered, continuing to do so. Then, Delvin lost his cloak of camouflage and looked around desperately to figure out what was going on. This had never happened to him before; he had learned to master his skills, to even hide his powers from the most powerful of psionic mutants. He prayed the Karen would be able to hear his plea.

<Delvin, what's wrong?>

<Karen, thank god you got you could hear me. Page Argon immediately and tell him that -.>

<I'm here Delvin. Karen, I need you to break contact, now.>

<Yes, Mam.>

<Delvin, I sense much trepidation.>

<Mam, there's something very strange going on in here. I entered the apartment and my powers just disappeared. I don't know what's going on.>

<Get out of there, IMMEDIATELY!>

<Yes, at once.> Delvin made fast with feet and got outside, shut the door, and jumped up onto the roof. And just as suddenly as his powers had gone, they had returned, and once more, he was made invisible by his surroundings.

"HQ. Come in."

"Delvin, this is Argon. Mistress has asked you to come back immediately, with everyone."

"At once, Delvin out."

"HQ out."

I climbed out of the shower, finally. Hey, I 'm a growing boy and a growing star, might as well look like one. But I don't want to be vain either, so I try and not be conceited and not worry too much about my looks. I mean I have to, to some extent, but some models just are too obsessed with their looks, and that, leads to infatuation in themselves. And now that is truly scary. I put on some fresh boxers and grabbed me a bowl of cereal and start munching for the second time that morning, hey, I had butterflies in my stomach, sue me. It's my 16th birthday and no one even has the decency has to call. What a great bunch of friends I have. I'm really starting to think the quote, 'with friends like these, who needs enemies,' is truly true. I looked at the time, 10:00. Great. Another 6 hours to mull around the house. The doorbell rang. What? I wasn't aware that everyone was coming, hmmm, must be the guards. I went out and looked through the peephole (one can never be too cautious) and was surprised to see a guard with an old lady next to him. I hastily suppressed the idea to dress myself up decently as that would take more time and instead opened the door slightly.

"Sir, this lady says she has very important business with you."

"I wasn't aware of any such thing. Mam, who might you be?"

"I would be much more comfortable to talk with you inside actually Mr. Dinz. I promised I come unarmed, your guards really do, do a good job of it."

"Ummm, I have no decent clothes on. Come in and I'll be right back in something wore to wear." With that I opened the door and dashed to my bedroom, snatching up the closest clothes that I had that looked wearable. In record time, I was once more in the living room in which the old lady had decided to settle herself in the couch.

"Hello Jaden. You don't mind if I call you that do you?"

"No, it's ok. I don't mean to be rude, but who are you?

"My name is Charlene Wefen. I'm here to speak to you on a couple of things regarding your personal life." Now I was a little apprehensive. Charlene Wefen was the head of a university for mutants. I had no problem with mutants, but why was she here? "You're probably wondering why I, the chairman for the University Mutantus, am here. It is simple really, I have some questions I would like to ask you and give you some information as well as relieve some apprehensions I have for you. Did anything happen out of the ordinary to you at all in your life. Think carefully. Take your time."

And so I did, I thought for a while remembering everything about my childhood, and my recent adolescence. Nothing. But one thing I left untouched. I never wanted to go there again. "Nothing I can think of."

"Jaden, if you don't mind me asking you, could I just read a portion of your mind. The portion that you don't want to remember again?"

"How do you know about that?"

"In your eyes Jaden. Many of the mutants that I take in have lost their families, and some of them become very distraught and sad when they must remember their past."

"I suppose." What the heck? Why did I even say that? Oh well, what's done is done, nothing to do about it now but take life by the horns.

"Thank you Jaden. I promise this won't hurt at all." Slowly and gently, she reached over to my temples and placed her fingertips there. Soothingly, she massaged my mind until I relaxed. Then, she pressed firmly, but without causing any pain. She remained there for a very long time and I was starting to doze when she withdrew her hands, opening her eyes with great anticipation and fear. "Impossible," she whispered, "I'm one of the strongest psionic masters and I can feel nothing. No emotions or thoughts."

"I'm sorry, did I do something wrong?"

"No. Jaden, did anything weird happen last night?"

"No, I just got home and got some sleep. Nothing extraordinary." That drew a sigh of relief from Charlene. "Wait," I said, remembering that strange dream. Her eyes shot up to meet mine, coupled with excitement and fear, fear as I have never seen before. I slowly said, "I had a dream. A weird dream. I can't really explain it, but it was as if it was real. No, I know it was real. I was watching from space down on Earth. Then I turned my head and the other planets were sort of like, lining up. As in a line. I know it sounds crazy but -"

"Jaden, whatever you do. Stay safe. Always be with someone. Take this phone and dial the button if you notice something strange. I must leave now. Anything at all, page me. I will be there immediately."

"What's wrong?"

"I'm not too sure Jaden. But something is very wrong here. I can't use any of my powers around this area. Or, around you. I do not know all the details nor do I remember the complete story. But I remember my dad telling me a story, it's all vague, but one thing I remember: 'the alignment of the planets is the first of three phases which shall shape the future of all life.' That's all I remember. But I know someone that will be able to help me. Take care. For tonight, I will send some of my friends to make sure your safe. They will be dressed and appear as regular people, but each will be wearing a shirt with your face, but your eyes in that picture will be different from your actual one and the rest of these shirts around. Talk to them too if you need anything. Goodbye Jaden, be safe and God bless you. You'll need it." And with a rush, she bustled out the door and out.

Damn, something is going very wrong, but what? Who am I? And what does she mean the alignment of the planets is the first of three phases which will shape the future of all life? My stomach grumbled loudly and I looked at the clock. FUCK! It was 3:30 and I was going to be late if I didn't bust my ass. I ran, took a shower, got on some decent clothes, grabbed a lunch bar and a coke, and headed out to my car.

"Mr. Dinz, ready sir?"

"Yes. Hurry please."

"Of course." We were off. I closed my eyes and urged my body and mind to relax. Everything was going to be okay. I took several deep breathed and eventually, my heartbeat and breathing returned to normal. "Mr. Dinz, we're here."

I got out of the car to be greeted by my director and make-up/costume attendant. "Jaden, come on. We're late on you." They rushed me to the room and immediately started stripping me and putting my concert clothes on, at the same time applying whatever needed to be to my face and such. They finally placed the microphone on my face and I was off.

"Ready Jaden?" asked my director smiling to himself.

"As ever I will be." I replied nervously, miserably failing to keep calm.

"Don't be nervous baby. You're going to be fine. Your a heartbreaker, you know, you look absolutely stunning and drop-dead gorgeous in those, baby." I turned around and there stood glorious ol' Mariah Carey.

"Thanks." I blushed slightly. That drew a chuckle from both of them. The lights dimmed and I knew it was now or never. Mariah stepped onto the stage and she started:

I would give up everything Before I'd separate myself from you After so much suffering I've finally found a man that's true I was all by myself for the longest time So cold inside And the hurt from my heart would not subside I felt like dying Until you saved my life

That was my cue and I walked onto the stage from the other side, and we both sang:

Thank God I found you I was lost without you My every wish and every dream Somehow became reality When you brought the sunlight Completed my whole life I'm overwhelmed with gratitude Cause baby I'm so thankful I found you

I began my part:

I would give you everything There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do To ensure your happiness I'll cherish every part of you Because without you beside me I can't survive I don't wanna try If you're keeping me warm each and every night I'll be all right Cause I need you in my life

My body moved with the rhythm and I completely lost myself in the things I love to do most, sing and dance. Poetry flowed out of my mouth only to be matched by the dancing poetry of my body. Both sensually and erotically blending to create something more exotic than anything thought possible. I was completely oblivious to the crowds, to Mariah, to everyone but my voice and my body. Once more, we sang together:

Thank God I found you I was lost without you My every wish and every dream Somehow became reality When you brought the sunlight Completed my whole life I'm overwhelmed with gratitude Cause baby I'm so thankful I found you

See I was so desolate Before you came to me Looking back I guess it shows that we were destined to shine After the rain to appreciate And care for what we have And I'd go through it all over again To be able to feel this way

Thank God I found you I was lost without you My every wish and every dream Somehow became reality When you brought the sunlight Completed my whole life I'm overwhelmed with gratitude Cause baby I'm so thankful I found you

Thank God I found you I was lost without you I'm overwhelmed with gratitude My baby I'm so thankful I found you

My body never ceased to dance along. Rhythmically, making the world seem so incompetent to the beauty that lies with everyone. And on that stage, I made the world dance with me, making beautiful the ugly, making happy the sad, putting back the pieces of the hearts broken, only to once more return to their demise after I was done, for I was. Mariah finished:

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude My baby I'm so thankful I found you.

Once more I returned to reality, no more in the serenity of my world. I was greeted with fans shouting and screaming and poster saying 'I Love Jaden" and such swinging in the air. Mariah came up to me and gave me a big hug and kissed my forehead and said, "See baby, I told you they'd love you. Just be confident and your going to be one Hell of a singer." I simply blushed and we managed to get behind the scenes where everyone congratulated me. I managed to smile and headed towards my director. I was very shocked to see him crying unseen tears as he hugged me tight and whispered:

"You did your parents mighty proud out there baby boy. Happy birthday, sweet 16." I hugged him tight and forgot all my worries for then.

Tristan: Hey guyz! How ya'll doing? This is my third story, the other two, Wykester University and Fate and Destiny, are still in progress. This idea has also bugged me and I wanted feedback, so yeah, please tell me what you guys think. I sort of think this is going to be my favorite story, don't know why. Wykester is very fictional. Fate and Destiny is rather historic and will get gruesome (lol). This one is going to be closest to modern times as well as realistic. Yes, this is hugely related to X-Men and much more will be to come. This is probably the longest story and I finally don't think I rushed it. I hope so. Write me back with your favorite story please. I will try and update all three stories as much as possible, with Wykester being my priority. Remember, email me. forgotten_secretz@yahoo.com FYI: These stories are all copyrighted to me. (Just making sure you know, lol)

Next: Chapter 2
