"Well, you came to the right place. Go on in, and have a great time." Scott said, reaching for the door and pulling it open to let the six of them in.
The group strode into the club. Lights were flashing and spinning all over the place. The music was pumping and the club was full. As the group made their way to bar, JC edged his way up to Jason.
"I saw what you did." he said into Jason's ear.
"Huh?" Jason responded, a little confused by JC's statement.
"I saw you slip him that money." he returned.
"So, I always slip Scott a little something. Why do you think we are such good friends? Everyone is your friend when you have money in your hand. You ought to know that better than anyone." Jason answered, pulling out a chair at an empty table next to the bar. JC nodded in response.
"Hey, Jessica!" Jason called in the bartenders direction. "Six Sweet Georgia Peaches." Turning back to his friends he continued. "Now I'm going to treat you to a night on the town Georgia style."
It took only a few minutes for the drinks to arrive carried by the beautiful bartender, Jessica. "It's been a while Jason. Who are you friends?"
"I know. Life's been busy. You know how it goes. These are just a few friends of mine I'm taking around for a night on the town."
"Alright." she continued, leaning on Jason's shoulder. "Have fun, but remember..."
"I know, I know." Jason broke in before she could finish. "Drink Smart." Jessica grinned before returning to her station at the bar. Joey and Chris cocked their head to the side, watching her saunter her way back. "I trust that this is nothing you are not used to, Justin." Jason said lifting his drink in Justin's direction.
"Yeah, being famous does have it's advantages." he replied with one of his devilish grins.
"What's in these things anyway?" JC asked, swirling his drink around with his finger. As he licked the droplets of his drink off of his finger, his face puckered and his eyes flew open in surprise. Jason couldn't help but chuckle.
"A little peach schnapps, lemon juice, little of this, little of that." Jason answered with a grin. And with that, the party had begun. The talked a little as they sipped on their drinks and soon they split up and went to different areas of the club. JC stuck with Jason at the table as they continued to talk.
Jason looked around for his friends as he talked with JC. Lance and Justin were sitting at the bar, drinking away, and Chris and Joey were out on the dance floor. Jason continued to scan through the club as he answered JC with 'Yeah's and 'Uh-huh's.
"You know, you're pretty cute." JC announced staring at Jason.
"Yeah..." Jason responded, still not quite listening. His head snapped around as Jason caught what JC had said. "What???"
JC grinned as he chuckled at Jason's response. "How many of those things have you had?" Jason questioned. Jason had switched to Sprite after his first Peach. JC had had at least one to his knowledge. 'He must not hold his liqour well.' Jason thought to himself.
"Just one. I was just wondering if you were paying attention. I guess not." JC returned, nearly rolling in laughter. "You should have seen the look on your face. You were like 'What?!?'" JC did his best to imitate Jason's response. Jason grinned realizing what JC had done.
"Funny. Real funny." Jason joked. A new dance song started and Jason started to bounce his head to the music. "Hey, come on man. Let's dance."
Jason and JC got up from the table and headed onto the floor. Jason danced and rocked to the music. Song after song went by and soon, it was well after midnight. Jason left the floor and began to round up his crew. He pulled JC and Chris off of the dance floor, pulled Joey away from a group of girls, and found Lance sitting at their original table, sipping on another Georgia Peach. Jason looked and looked and still couldn't find Justin.
"Where's Justin?" Jason asked the four he had assembled. They all shrugged their shoulders in response. Jason walked up to the bar and found Jessica. He asked her the same thing and she pointed to a secluded corner of the bar. There sitting on a stool, propped against the bar, sat Justin, teetering back and forth.
Jason walked over to the now very drunk Justin holding an empty shot glass. "Damn, boy. How many of those things did you have?"
Justin blinked his eyes and swallowed hard before he could force out an answer. "Just a few." he managed to slur. By that time, Jessica had walked over to where Jason was standing.
"You need to take your friend home, Jason." she insisted. "I think he got a little more than he bargained for."
"I am, right now. Put it all on my tab. I appreciate it." Jason answered. "Come on Just." Justin climbed off of the stool and stumbled back into the bar. His feet refused to work. He tried again and fell right into Jason. "Here, grab ahold." Jason told Justin, as he grabbed Justin's arm and held him up. Together they moved back toward the others.
"Come on, you guys. Let's go." Jason said, motioning for the others to follow as he passed the table. The four got up and followed Jason and Justin out the door and onto the street. They crossed the street to the parking garage and entered.
When they approached the stairs, Jason ran into a problem with Justin. He couldn't climb the steps no matter how hard he tried. After several futile attempts, Jason picked Justin up in his arms and carried him up the steps. "Remind me to watch you more closely next time." Jason joked. Justin only rolled his eyes in response.
The trip from the top af the stairs to the car was short. "JC, take my keys and drive to the hotel. Save some time." Jason informed nodding with his head to Justin, who was pretty much out of it. "Climb in guys." Joey, Chris, and Lance scowled as they climbed into the back seat.
"I get to drive your car, huh?" JC said with a grin. "Lucky me."
"Well," Jason answered as he slid into the passenger seat, still holding Justin in his arms. "Remember, you break it you buy it." Jason pulled the door to and JC pulled off. With Jason giving driving directions around the city of Atlanta, they slowly made their way back to the group's hotel.
JC gave the car to the vallet and the six entered the lobby. They had already checked in earlier in the day and Chris had all of the keys. They entered the elevator and he passed them out to everyone, giving Justin's key to Jason. The elevator ride was slow and quiet.
JC followed Jason as he carried Justin to his room. Jason unlocked the door and entered the room. Jason carried Justin to the bed and set him down. He pulled off his shoes and covered him with a comforter. "Jason..." Justin called as Jason turned to leave the room.
Jason walked back over to the bed, where Justin was now eyeing him. "Yeah, Just?" Justin had been out cold ever since they club, or so Jason had thought. Jason was surprised that he was talking now.
Justin motioned with his hand for Jason to bring his head in closer. Jason moved down closer to the bed as Justin sat up a little. "Josh is lucky to have you." he said with a smile.
"You get you some rest Justin. You need it." Jason replied as he exited the room, turning off the lights on his way out.
JC was standing in the hall waiting for him as he pulled the door to. "That was really nice of you, carrying him up like that. I don't know many people that would have done that." JC said as he moved down the hall.
"Well, he's a cool guy. Any friend of yours is a friend of mine. He just got a little more than he should've tonight, that's all." Jason responded.
"Yeah. Hey, would you like to chill out in my room and watch a movie or something?" JC asked as they approached his hotel room.
"Sure, I'd like that." Jason answered. JC slid the key through the electronic lock and the door and made his way into the room. The room was nice by any standards. It was complete with a wet bar, refridgerator, TV, VCR, and a balcony. "Pretty Sweet." he thought aloud.
"It's pretty comfortable. It is definately better than the one's we stayed in when we first started." JC said, plopping down on the bed. He grabbed the controller and flipped on the TV. "So, Horror, Drama, Comedy? What kind of movie you want to watch?"
"I like scary movies. I mean, if that's alright with you." Jason answered. Jason didn't want to force JC to watch something he didn't want to.
"Sounds good to me. How about 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'?"
"Good Choice."
JC flipped the channel and the movie popped onto the screen. It had already been playing for a few minutes, but they hadn't missed much. JC got up and flipped off the lights and sat down to watch the movie.
Jason sat engrossed in the movie, leaning against the head board as JC lay with his head at the foot of the bed, propped up on his elbows. Jason had already seen the movie before, but enjoyed it none the less.
"You know," I had a really great time today. Maybe we can do something tommorow. I mean, if you have some free time." JC said hopefully. He continued to watch the movie while waiting for Jason to answer. "I mean, it would be cool. Don't you think?"
JC turned back and found Jason fast asleep with his head propped against the headboard. JC laughed at Jason's obviously uncomfortable position. He took one of the pillows off of the bed and slid it under his head before returning his attention to the movie.
As the movie progressed, JC thought about the day. The day he had waited for for weeks had finally come and gone. He had finally met the person who he had gotten along with so well on-line and he turned out to be a really nice guy. JC grinned to himself, very pleased with the events of the day. Unknowingly, he slowly drifted off into peaceful slumber.
Alright here it is. What did you think? Tell me at a41a14a@yahoo.com. I thought it was interesting at least. This wasn't much of a cliff-hanger, but is is the start of their realization about each other. The next chapter is sure to be interesting so check back in a couple of days and it will be up. Have a great day, JC.
