Hey Ashley, what are you doing here? I had no idea you were coming.

Randy said to Ashley, who was, in fact, a long time girlfriend of his when he was in California. I figured since I never got a chance to spend time with you the last month you were in Cali, I could just come out here and see you and hang out for a while. She said all of this while Randy was holding her. After she said that, she hugged him and started to laugh. While this was happening Randy seemed that he wasn't excited at all and Jason, who was looking on, could tell but he wasn't too focused on Ashley or Randy, but he, seemed to be having a jealous feeling growing in his stomach and heart.

Jason started to think, why the hell am I feeling like I just lost my best friend all of a sudden? Jason was thinking very hard at this point and all of a sudden he snapped out of it. Dude, this is Ashley, Ashley this is Jason. He's my best bud up here in Washington Randy said introducing them.

Well, since Randy is too shy to say, we dated while he lived in California, but I will forgive him for not mentioning, Ashley said.

Randy rolled his eyes at the comment and started to question why she was there. She goes to tell him again that she wanted to see him for the summer, and she called his parents to see if she could come up and surprise him, and of course, they said yes.

He went on to explain that they both, him and Jason where to go to California to see a friend for a week or 2. Well, your parents told me I could come up here to see you, with a wimpy sad look on her face. Then she turned her attention to Jason, who seemed to not want anything to do with the conversation. Mason, you don't mind if Randy stays here for that trip and you go see your friend do you, with that sad wimpy face as she did to Randy.

Ashley first off it is Jason NOT MASON, Randy tells her. Oh, sorry," she said. "Jason you don't mind do you, PLEASEEEE!

Jason felt so weird by this and just gave in even though his heart was tearing up and wanted to say no.

Sure if he wants to, he is an adult, said Jason. She looked at Randy with a puppy dog face, and he said ' I guess, BUT...

She gave him no time to say what he wanted to say and just stood up and screamed and gave the stud a very big hug. While she was hugging Randy, Jason got up and went to the bathroom. Inside, his heart was torn apart that his best friend in the whole world since Matthew left, was ditching him for this girl who he never told him about and who he had no idea he was dating. His eyes were even starting to water some as he was walking to the bathroom. Jason heard footsteps following him and quick.

Jason cleared his eyes as he didn't want anyone to see him crying, and Ashley came running up behind him.

Hey Mason, she said again, it's Jason Ashley. Oh, stupid me sorry, but can I ask you for another favor. Sure I guess, Jason said. Well, I did come way out here to surprise Randy, so is it okay to spend the rest of the weekend with him?

Jason just looked at her and thought since she asked nicely, even though she had a snobby way of asking. He told her yes, and she ran out to tell Randy. As Jason was taking a piss, he heard someone walking to the room, and the door of the bathroom opened. "Dude, what the fuck man, Randy said to Jason in a manly but discreet manner.

Jason looked at Randy with a puzzled look. What was that for and why are you busting up in the bathroom when you knew I was using it, Jason said in an angry voice. This kind of surprised Randy because he never seen Jason get upset, EVER, since he is an all around nice guys. Well, this was going to be a guy's weekend and just wanted to chill with my best bud like we usually do. I broke this off with her like last year, and she can't take a fucking hint. She is not my type and always tries to get what she wants. After he said that, Jason remembered what Ashley did by asking him about the weekend.

Well, it seems that shit is true now that she is here for the whole weekend. I'm going to go ahead and grab my things and pack up and head out. Randy just froze with that comment and looked at Jason as if he didn't understand what was going on.

While Jason was packing Randy still just stood there with this puzzled look on his face. Jason was calm and showed no sign of being upset while packing his stuff but inside he was hurting so badly. The funny thing about this is that even though he may not have shown it, Randy knew him too well and knew that his feelings were hurt and hurting bad. Ever since that night when Matthew left Randy has gotten close to Jason.

Randy made his way toward Jason, and as he got closer, he could just feel the tension in the room. Jay please man, you don't have to go bro. Randy said in a soft and nice way. I had no idea she would come and then for you to tell her it was ok that I could stay up here and just ditch you on a trip down to see Matt; I'm no dick man and care about my friends, especially you. I would never do that on purpose. Randy said this while his hand was on Jason's shoulder. Well, I didn't want to upset your girl, and Randy cut Jason off. Dude I told you she's not my GIRL! Randy stopped himself and then relaxed and proceeded. She's not my girl anymore Jason, and I don't want anything to do with her. She is not my girlfriend bro. And I don't want you to leave nor travel down to see Matt alone. Jason looked at Randy as he had the most sincere look in his eyes and softness about his face. While Randy talked, Jason's eyes did water up some, and he couldn't hold it back. They weren't running badly, but you could tell he was sad at this point, and Randy knew it.

Dude you just have your fun this weekend Randy. I'm pretty tired and could use some alone time. Maybe you guys should hang out this weekend and see how things go! You know?

Randy just looked at him as if he couldn't believe what Jason just said. He was just in shock at the statement. Jason, please man, don't go dude. You can chill here tonight.

While Randy was talking, Jason finished packing and walk toward the door.

At that moment, Randy did something that took Jason by surprise. He ran up to Jason and grabbed his hand as if he wanted to hold it to help him cross the street or something.

It was weird at first, even Randy thought this since he was the one that did it. Jason looked at him a little weird but didn't want to be obvious. Jason looked down at both their hands and then Randy realized what he did. He let Jason's hand go and said, please Jay don't leave I am so sorry, please bro; we can still have fun.

Jason just looked at Randy and said, Na, I think I will go! Get up with me when you can.

Jason left, and as he headed out the door, he said goodbye to Ashley. All he got from her was a hand wave all the while she was talking on her phone with her back turned without a care in the world. "Wow, she is a snob," Jason thought. Randy Just stood there in disbelief and couldn't believe what happen in the last hour.

As the weekend passed, Jason just hung around home, and Randy was at his home with Ashley and his parents. There was only one week of school left and while both guys went to school to finish it seemed that Jason kept his distance. Randy wasn't too keen to this and got annoyed as well. So the last day he can up to his best buddy and ask why he wasn't talking to him. Jason just looked at him with a plain look on his face as if he was looking off at something else. Randy asked again, and Jason still was looking off as if he was thinking of something.

Fine if that's how it's going to be then just fuck it dude, you don't call, or hang anymore, and when I even talk to you, you don't even listen!

At that point, Randy was pretty angry and spoke loudly while they were in the parking lot heading home. Then Jason snapped out of his daze and spoke in a soft but weird manner and even shaking his head looking down. Dude I just thought you needed space with your girl. With that, Randy almost lost it. DUDE! Why do you keep saying that she is my girl? There was a stop sign right by them, and Randy hit it while yelling that. People around them started to look, and Randy notice Jason wasn't acting right.

Jay, what the hell is wrong with you? Randy demanded!

Jason just kept this puzzled look the whole time, and finally, Jason snapped out of it again and looked at Randy. I have to leave and go to New York with my parents for a month, the whole month of June; I will talk to you later. As Jason turned around to walk home Randy just grabbed him and demanded to know what was going on. Jason with a sad and puzzled on his face looked back at him. I'll call you when I can, but I have to go.

With that, he left, and Randy just stood there as if he got the most shocking news of his life as he watched his absolute best friend walk away, and his heart just sunk to the pit of his stomach What the hell is going on, this shit makes no sense. Randy took his cell phone out and called Jason's house to speak with his mom to get to the bottom of this. Then the unthinkable happen, Fuck! Why is his phone line disconnected?
