Gay

Disclaimer: I am not assuming anything about the lives of anyone in this story. Many may wish things to be true, but who knows so don't be offended, just enjoy. If you're UNDER 18, stop reading this, and all that other legal stuff.

This is my first attempt, and I know this story lacks sexual adventures, give it time, I want them to get to know eachother first, okay?

Justin awoke in a sea of covers and felt hands around his waist. Oh no, I went home with that girl from the club!' He opened his eyes and looked around and realized he was in Lance's hotel room. What the? Oh yeah, last night.' As he remembered what had happened, Lance started to stir.

"Ugh. Justin? What are you doing here?"

"Shh. I heard you crying when I got home last night. I came in to help ya out."

"Oh god." Lance buried his head in his pillow, fully embarassed.

"Hey, Scoop, it's alright. We all get upset and need people sometimes. But I want you to know, if you get like that, you need to tell someone about it and about why you're upset. I'm going to go take a shower and I expect you to order us some breakfast so we can eat while you explain why you've been so upset lately."

And with that Justin went into the bathroom without waiting for a reply. Lance slowly rolled over. `Well at least I didn't say anything in my sleep last night. He seems to honestly have no clue as to why I'm so upset so I can just tell him something.'

By the time their food got their, Justin was just finishing his shower.

"Take long enough?" Lance asked, jokingly.

"Only long enough so you'd have to tip the bell hop." Justin replied, laughing.

"Geez, don't ask if you can borrow anything," Lance said, noticing Justin was wearing his robe.

"Oh this. I just didn't want to put my clothes back on, they're all sweaty from dancing. You're lucky I didn't borrow some boxers too! I decided I should probably stick with my own on that front."

"You decided right!"

As they gathered some food on two plates they sat down on opposite couches and began to eat. After they'd eaten in silence for some time, Justin looked up.

"Ok, now tell me, what's been going on? You've been like this ever since the last concert, but it's gotten worse in the last two days?"

"Well...um, you see.I.I met this girl, yeah. And well I didn't want to leave after the concert last time, and as we were, she left so I didn't get her number." `Hey, that wasn't too bad. I'm shocked Justin noticed that I've been getting worse since that concert. I just can't help myself though. It was during that concert when just before I flipped JC around, we were holding hands and he looked right into my eyes and stuck his tongue out at me. Then he gave me his killer smile and I flipped him and it just hit me worse than it had before.'

"Sorry Scoop. That's not going to cut it. You were way too upset last night to have been thinking about some girl you only knew 15 minutes during a meet and greet."

"No, it's true. Her name was.Jennifer."

"A ha! I heard you pause. `Her name was.Jennifer.' You're completely lying to me!" Justin got up and went to sit next to Lance. "Come on Lansten, you can tell me. I'm here for you. Hell, I stayed next to you all night long in case you needed me. Now I'm here and I want the truth."

Lance looked at Justin with eyes that were just about ready to overflow with tears.

"Oh Lance, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry again!" Justin said quickly as he gave Lance a big hug. "I just want you to know that I'm here to help and I want you to open up to me. Please?"

Lance's tears got the best of him and he cried into Justin's shoulder. As Justin whispered soft things into Lance's ear, Lance couldn't hold it in any longer.

"Justin, I'm.I'm gay." Lance said, pulling away from Justin and starting to get up.

"Hold it," Justin said as he grabbed Lance's arm. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Well, I just thought you would probably hate me and want to hit me, so I thought I'd better leave," Lance said as he sniffled.

"I do NOT hate you, and I would never hurt you. Now I told you I was here for you, so how could you think I would be mad when you told me the truth?"

"Really?"

"Really."

"I just thought."

"Well, now you know I'm here for you. I will not go against my word, and it just so happens I have nothing against you for being gay either. I'm proud you had the courage to come to terms with it yourself, and then to tell me about it. So how long have you known?"

"All my life. My parents know. It took them a while to get used to their little boy being gay, especially being from the south, but they accepted me. I told them when I was 15."

"Oh Lance, I'm so sorry. Why didn't you ever tell me? Or the other guys?"

"I didn't know how you guys would all take it. I know how much it bothers everyone when the magazines say we're gay, so I just thought it'd be easier to not let it be known that I really am."

Justin wrapped his arm around Lance and pulled him into a hug. They stayed like that for at least ten minutes and as Lance slowly pulled away he looked into Justin's eyes.

"Thank you," he slowly said.

Justin nodded, gave a small smile, and then leaned in and kissed Lance on the lips. Lance looked shocked. As Justin pulled back he had a frightened look on his face and quickly ran from the room.

In JC's room:

JC awoke as he heard a loud bang that sounded like a door slamming. Hmm, the guys couldn't be considerate or anything and shut their doors softly, I guess.' He went to roll over and almost fell off the couch. Geez, I forgot Jason's in my bed.'

With that thought he was fully awake and smiling as he looked up and saw Jason sleeping peacefully. `I think I should order him some breakfast before I wake him up.'

After JC showered quickly he waited in the hall for their breakfasts. Had he not been down the hall from everyone else he could've heard Lance's crying as Justin had the night before, and he probably would have heard Justin's frantic pacing in his own room.

The breakfasts showed up rather quickly and JC reentered the room quietly, setting the food on the table. He walked over to the bed and ran his fingers through Jason's hair. As he slowly stirred, JC backed up a bit.

"Jason? Jason? Come on, it's time to get up. Breakfast's here."

"Huh? What? Where am I?" Jason asked, confused as he sat up and saw JC.

"You're in my room. You fell asleep last night and I didn't have the heart to wake you up and get you a cab, so I put you in my bed and took the couch."

"Oh ok." "OhmiGod, he picked me up and carried me into his bed. I spent the night in his bed.I can't believe it.'

"Well, don't just sit there, come get some breakfast. I didn't know what you'd like, so I just ordered everything." JC said, looking sheepish. `Oh great JC, just show off your money.'

"Wow, thanks, did they have pancakes?" `Geez, he went all out, there's tons of food here.well he's probably just trying to be friendly.'

"Of course, they're my favorite so I ordered extras." JC said, sitting down across from him at the table. `Alright, today's the day. You're going to tell him that you're gay. Just come out with it. It won't be that hard. Right after breakfast.'

"Cool, me too," Jason said as he dug in. "Some day you should taste mine, I make the best pancakes. I always made them for me and...oh god. I didn't mean to say that. I mean, I guess I was just thinking because of the food." Jason started to mumble.

"Hey, Hey Jason, it's cool, it's cool. Don't worry about it. You can talk about you and Alex." `Now's the time, he thinks your uncomfortable hearing about it because he's gay, so you have to tell him.'

`God, he must think you're insane, freaking out just because you were talking about Alex in front of him. You better just tell him. Tell him you're attracted to him, but you're not going to act on it because you know he's straight and you just want to be good friends. Tell him before he guesses about it for himself and gets mad!'

"Um, JC, I need to tell you something."

"Um, Jason, I need to tell you something."

They both laughed nervously.

"Go ahead," Jason said.

"No, you."

"No, I insist, you go."

"Ok, well," JC started. `Just say it. Come on!' "Alright, here's the thing, I tried to tell you last night but I just couldn't."

"I knew you didn't bring me there to tell me about your being in a band."

"Yeah, well I meant to tell you. I just couldn't. So, here goes. Jason, I'm.gay."

"You're gay?!" Jason shouted, spitting out his orange juice.

"Shh. Keep your voice down. Yes, I'm gay." JC said, looking down.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. It's just such a shock. I mean, I thought you were straight." `Wow, he's gay.don't get excited, just because he's gay doesn't mean he wants you. He probably has a boyfriend.well he could be single.don't get your hopes up. Remember, this was going to be your good male friend.but I really like him. I know that now.do you "know" that just because he told you he was gay?.no because I've been falling for him since I met him. There, I've admitted it.'

"Jason? Jason?"

"Oh, sorry, I was thinking about something."

"Um, so...do you hate me now?"

"Hate you? How could I hate you?"

"Because I'm gay."

"Um, earth to JC, I'm gay too, wouldn't that be hypocritical?"

"Well, I just thought since I didn't tell you right away."

"JC, I'm gay, remember? I know how hard it can be to tell someone that. I didn't want to tell you, but I figured if were going to be friends I shouldn't lie about it."

"That's why I felt I had to tell you."

Jason got up and gave JC a hug.

"As far as I'm concerned, we're still friends, how bout you?" Jason said walking over to the couch.

"Of course! Great friends! So, what'd you want to tell me?" JC asked, joining Jason on the couch.

"Oh, well."

"C'mon, it's ok, I didn't want to say that to you, but I did and it worked out fine. I promise you I'll be able to take whatever you have to say to me." JC leaned back over and gave Jason another hug.

"Well, this is coming at a bad time. See, I.well, just out with it, right? I have feelings for you JC. I just needed to tell you that because I don't want you to start thinking I do and get upset about it. I do, and see, before I thought you were straight, so I was just going to say to you I promise I'll never act on them, I want us to be great friends and have nothing come in between that, so I plan on keeping the same thing up now, even though you are gay. I don't expect you to return the feelings any more than I did when I thought you were straight and." Jason was cut off by JC's lips on his.

"Mmph, what.what are you doing?" Jason asked as JC leaned back and smiled at him.

"I figured there was only one way to get you to stop talking long enough for me to tell you the feeling's mutual."

"You, what?"

"I have feelings for too, Jason."

In Lance's room:

Lance lay crying and curled up in a ball on the couch he and Justin had been sitting on. `God, I'm so stupid. Why did I kiss him? I'd just gotten the courage to tell someone about it, and he was actually nice and didn't even get mad and hate me, and then I go and screw it up and kiss him!'

In Justin's room:

Justin had been pacing his room, throwing all of his clothes out of the closet, and then rearranging them back into the closet as his mind raced with thoughts, but mostly just the same one over and over.

`Why did I kiss him? I mean, JC told me he was gay and I just gave him a hug and told him I'd always be there for one of my brothers. I've known JC was gay for a while now and never ever tried to kiss him. We've even dressed in front of one another, shared a room, shared a bed and never have I tried anything. Why is that Lance tells me he's gay and I kiss him? I mean he was so depressed, I just wanted to help him out last night and get him to open up to me this morning.'

Suddenly Justin thought of something really important. `OhmiGod, Lance was so depressed and then finally opened up to me this morning and I did exactly what he thought I'd do. I walked out on him. He probably doesn't even realize it's because I kissed him. I mean, we've all kissed eachother at least once. Just to show them we cared. If someone was really upset we wouldn't even realize we'd done it, but we would have kissed the other one on the cheek or briefly on the lips. It was just the brotherly thing to do. He probably thought I was really there for him and then I ran out! That's probably the only reason I kissed him in the first place and it just freaked me out because I had forgotten he just told me he was gay!'

Justin quickly got up and walked over to the door. `I've got to go talk to him.' Just then he felt more relieved than he ever had in his life. He'd grabbed his pants before he'd left Lance's room earlier, so he still had the key card to get into his room. He knew Lance would never open the door for him now, so at least some things were working in his favor.

Justin slid the key into the door and opened it slightly.

"Lance? It's me."

He saw Lance curled in his ball and quickly ran over to him.

"Oh Lance, Lance I'm SO sorry! I didn't mean to do it. It's just, after I kissed you I didn't understand it and I."

Lance quickly looked up.

"You.you kissed me? I thought I kissed you?"

"What?"

"Well, I thought I kissed you? Oh Justin, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, it's just, I don't know. I was so happy you weren't mad and I didn't even realize I'd done something so stupid until you were gone."

"Lance, I kissed you. I had given you the hug and I kissed you and I freaked out so I left. But when I was gone I realized I kissed you to show you I was there for you and I didn't even realize it because I had forgotten what you had just told me, so I got all confused and thought I'd kissed you to kiss you."

"Oh, I thought I had kissed you and you were mad."

"No, I'm not mad, it was my fault. If anything you should be mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you Curly."

Lance sat up and Justin sat next to him.

"We shouldn't feel awkward about this, it's just something stupid that happened," Justin said as he looked over at Lance.

"You're right. Let's just let things go back to the way they were. And Justin?"

"Yeah Scoop?"

"Will you promise me you won't tell the guys about it? About my being gay I mean?"

"Of course I won't," Justin said, and he gave Lance a hug.

"Thanks."

"What are friends for?"

To Be Continued.

Send all comments to jas_stories@hotmail.com. Thanks again for the support, I'm glad more people responded after the last installment. Please give me your opinions on where things are going for Lance. I had a plan for something really big, but I'm warming up to the idea of Justin and Lance together? What do you think? Drop me a line and tell me your ideas, I'd appreciate it.
