Warning: This story contains homosexual themes, and will in the future contain scenes of homosexual sex. If this bothers you then don't read this. If you are not old enough in the community that you live in to read erotic material, than go away, and shame on you for being here.

Disclaimer: I have no associations with either the Backstreet Boys or NSYNC. I do not know the sexual orientations of any of the band members. This is FICTION, meaning that it is not real and should not be considered real.

Personal Statement: Well, I haven't seen you guys in a while. I guess I owe some sort of explanation. I guess the only thing I can say is that I got discouraged. I was feeling like nobody out there was reading this, either that or they didn't like it. I know I should be writing for the thrill I get from writing, but after putting myself out there and getting nothing back I decided to stop. But recently I've started receiving messages saying that my story is missed, so I figure I'll start it up again and see if people are still interested.

Joey and Lucas (Chapter 7) by Aran

PRESENT (Lucas' Point of View)

"Lucas?"

I woke up with a pain shooting through my neck; I guess that's what I get for falling asleep in a hospital chair. I looked up and saw Mr. And Mrs. Chesterfield standing over me. I glanced over at the clock and saw that I had been asleep for about five hours.

Mr.: "Lucas, how long have you been here?"

L: "Since this morning. You got up here pretty fast."

Mr.: "Luckily the jet was ready to go when we got the call."

Mrs.: "Maybe you should go home and get some rest, we'll have our car take you."

L: "Will you call me if anything changes?"

Mrs.: "Certainly, I'll call the driver, he'll be waiting for you in front."

L: "Thank You"

With that I left the room, taking one last look at Ben before I left. I hope he'll be Ok. As I walked out of the hospital I saw a town-car waiting, as I approached the driver got out and opened the door for me.

"Thanks, do you need directions?"

"No, Mrs. Chesterfield told me where to go."

With that we were off. As we drove through the afternoon traffic my mind wandered back to this morning. The way I brushed Joey off was pretty mean, but I had no choice. When he said those words to me I freaked out. "You won't ever be alone if I can help it." Those same words where uttered three years ago at the beginning of my relationship with William. There are too many similarities, they both said the same exact thing and they both found me after something separated Ben and I. I guess I use Ben as an emotional crutch sometimes, and I don't want to enter a relationship with somebody just to take Ben's place.

I guess I hadn't been paying much attention to where we were going, because when the driver opened the door for me it took me a second for me to recognize where he had brought me. I was standing in front of my mother's building. If I remembered correctly the rest of my "family" was spending the winter in Venice so the place should be empty. I decided to go up and see what they had done with the place, and to enjoy the view from the balcony for a little bit. The doorman greeted me as I walked in and gave me the spare set of keys to the apartment.

I always felt a little like Cinderella when I was here; those feelings didn't change when I walked into the empty apartment. I was always the unwanted one, but I had to put those feelings aside now. I walked out onto the large balcony and enjoyed the view of the skyline was amazing from here.

"Lucas?"

I turned around and saw my mother standing at the French doors that lead onto the balcony.

"Hi. I thought you were in Venice?"

"That gives you permission to come into my home uninvited?"

"Sorry, I was just in the neighborhood and thought.... I'll just leave."

"Actually, I'm glad you're here."

I was shocked to hear those words coming from her mouth. I don't think she was ever happy to see me, not since I came out of her and wasn't completely white.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'm having some people over for dinner and I'd like you to stay."

That was not the mother that I knew. She would always ask me to go over to Ben's house if people were coming over. Then, when I turned eighteen and graduated from high school she got me an apartment on the other side of the park.

"Who is coming?"

"I think you know them, you have met the Cheng family right."

I hope that I misheard her. The Cheng's where William's family. I guess I could stay as long as William himself wasn't coming over.

"Is William coming with them?"

"Yes he is, I forgot that you knew him. I guess you'll be happy to see him again."

"HAPPY!!!!! DON'T YOU REMEMBER ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED ME!!"

As I shouted I realize that she probably didn't remember that I had dated William. She didn't show much interest in my life when we were going out, or when we broke up. The only thing that she did for me that showed that she cared was to set up a studio in her chateau in the south of France.

"Why are you so upset? Don't you want to see William?"

"No I don't, I better get out of here before they get here."

As I headed past my mother the doorbell rang.

"I guess it's too late for that Lucas. Why don't stay and have dinner with us?"

"I don't want to. I'll just go home."

"That would rude, to leave just as they arrive. They wanted to talk about you anyway, so you might as well stay since you'll be the topic of the conversation."

My mother dragged me by the arm into the sitting room as then Cheng family, all three of them, were shown in. My mother dragged me over to greet them. I decided that I probably wasn't going to get out of this, so I decided to be polite. At least to his parents. I pretended to have a coughing fit when it came time to shake William's hand, and excused myself to the bathroom. I looked at my reflection in the mirror.

"Now what are you going do?"

I was reduced to talking to myself, that's what I do when I'm nervous. It usually helps to calm me down, but people tend to stare if I do it in public.

"You have to think of a way out of this, do you..."

Just then my cell phone rang. I flipped it open and hit talk.

"Hello?"

"Hey Lucas, it's Larry."

"Hey, what's up?"

"Just wanted to remind you to go to bed early tonight, you're going on Rosie tomorrow. You have to be there at seven to rehearse with your dancers. I want you to come straight to my office when you're done, there's something that I need to go over with you."

"Sure, what do you want to go over?"

"I'll tell you tomorrow, it's not definite yet so I don't want to talk about it. I'll know for sure by tomorrow morning."

"OK, I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Bye Lucas, remember to go to bed early."

"Will do. Bye"

With that I hung up my phone and smiled. I had my out. I went into the sitting room and grabbed my coat.

"I'm afraid I can't stay, I have to wake up early tomorrow for an appearance. It was nice seeing you all again."

I just left, not waiting for a response from anybody. Unfortunately William caught up to me as I was waiting for the elevator.

"Lucas wait, won't you at least have a drink with us?"

"No."

"Well, can we get together sometime?"

I just looked at him. I couldn't believe that he expected me to be in the same room with him on purpose.

"William, I never want to see you again. How many times do I have to tell you that?"

"I know that you say that. But I also know that I love you, and that you love me."

I snapped. Hearing him utter the word love to me made me lose it, in a big way. Before I could stop it I saw my fist fly through the air and make contact with William's cheek, sending him to the floor. Hitting him didn't get rid of all my anger, so I started yelling as he lay there.

"YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH!!!! I DON'T LOVE YOU!!! AND FOR YOUR INFORMATION I'VE MOVED ON WITH MY LIFE AND FOUND SOMEONE ELSE!!!"

"WHO!?!"

Uh oh. I had to come up with something fast. William stared at me expecting an answer.

"You don't know him, he doesn't live in the city."

"What's his name?"

"It's none of your damn business what his name is, you're not a part of my life anymore."

Just then the elevator arrived, I stepped on and pushed the button for the bottom floor. If I had been listening I would have hears William's reply.

"Little do you know."

MEANWHILE (Joey's Point of View)

I have to calm down. Lance is holding me as I cry on his shoulder over Lucas. What am I going to tell him when I calm down. The guys have never seen me cry, this is the first time I've cried since I was a kid. I guess until now I just didn't have anything to cry about.

"Joey, what's going on?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"I don't care, I've never seen you cry before. I want to know why you're this upset."

"I... I just..."

"Why don't you start by telling me where you were last night."

To Be Continued...

OK, I know it was short, really short, but I needed to get back into writing again before I can go full steam. If you'd like to E-Mail me my address is ARTNYC4@hotmail.com

YOU DARE ME: In order to keep you guys (and girls) interested I've decided to make the story a little bit interactive. I want y'all creative people out there to send me ideas that you'd like to see in the story, screwy words that you think I'll have a hard time getting in, anything at all, ANYTHING! Well maybe not anything, I'm not gonna kill Lucas or something like that, but other than that it's open. One person's idea will make it into each chapter, and you'll get credit and get to preview/edit the next chapter. I look forward to seeing what you've got for me.

Next: Chapter 8
