Just Like Everybody

"I won't miss my chance tonight."

I always think that, but I knew I'd fail one more time.

She was no more than 5' 4" and the girl couldn't weigh a hundred and ten pounds soaking wet. Her hair was the color of a raven in flight and cascaded down her back like a thick mantle of down from some dark bird of magic and mystery. Her beautiful skin cried out to be touched and radiated with a glow from an inner fire that seemed to burn just for her.

Her flannel shirt was unbuttoned and knotted together at the bottom. She wore a tank top that was so thin it was easy to see she didn't need a bra to hold up those two perfectly formed breasts. Two breasts that sneaked out from under her shirt from time to time to let the world know sexy didn't always mean big. Her denims weren't tight, but they gave me a good idea about the cute shape of her ass and I could see she had legs that went on for a long time before they finally reached the floor.

She wore a smile instead of makeup. And what a smile. A flash of white teeth and little dimples that added a tiny bit more to her already perfect features. Her well formed nose seemed chiseled out of alabaster by one of the masters of old. Thick lashes framed her beautiful brown eyes and a long slender neck supported her head with a look of regal majesty.

I moved closer until I could hear her voice.

She laughed when the bartender made some comment about her drink order. A laugh that said so much about her and a laugh that said so much to me. A laugh I wanted to hear again and again.

She was perfect and she was alone.

What could I say? I didn't want her to think I was a bore and I knew some trite pickup line wouldn't work with a woman like her anyway. I never seem to be able to come up something interesting to say at times like this and always end up watching as the woman of my dreams walks away with someone else. Once again, I stood by frozen with fear, unable to say a word. Nothing at all.

"Can I ask you a question?"

She was talking to me. I couldn't believe it, but somehow I was able to answer her without sounding like a fool.

"Sure, I'd love to talk with you. My name's Karen by the way."

"Hi, I'm Marsie. I've seen you here a few times, but we never had a chance to meet. I'm kind of shy and can't seem to talk to people I don't know. I guess you don't have that problem since you're so hot and all."

"Well, I wouldn't say that exactly, but since we're talking now, maybe we can make up for lost time."
