He walked into the living room, Justin walking up to him.
Michael looked at him, Justin seeing the whiteness of his face, tears flowing down Michael's cheeks.
"What's wrong, Michael. You don't look well, are you okay?"
Justin put his arm around him to steady him.
Everyone saw the way Michael was staggering, like he was about to collapse.
Michael pushed out of Justin's arms walking across the room to stand in front of Paulo and Alberto.
Alberto looked up at Michael, shock registering on his face.
"Alberto, could you answer me one question. What is the name of your village?"
Paulo looked around, seeing everyone staring at his grandfather.
"It's Zamora, Michael."
Michael's tears fell more, his body shaking. Justin was beside him, deep worry on his face.
"What is it Michael, what's wrong?"
MIchael looked up into Justin's face then turned to see Alberto standing now in front of him.
"What's wrong, Michael?" He said with concern.
Michael reached out and removed Alberto's dark glasses.
Justin gasped seeing Alberto's golden eyes.
Michael pulled the photograph out of his pocket, handing it to Alberto.
Alberto took it, staring into Michael's eyes, then lowering his to look at the picture.
He collapsed back into the chair.
Written across the bottom of the photo were the words: me and dad
Michael looked down at him, a smile now on his face.
"Merry Christmas, grandfather."
Michael swayed, collapsing into Justin's arms.
Chapter 49
Justin picked up Michael in his arms, carrying him over to the nearest couch.
Everyone crowded around him, Nana putting a pillow under Michael's head.
Michael opened his eyes, the room kind of blurring.
Justin was beside him, looking into his eyes, feeling his forehead.
"I'm okay, Jus. I just got light headed. Please, I'm okay."
"No you're not, Mico. You used your gifts too much and it's exhausted you. You can hardly stand. You're not moving a muscle, understand?"
Michael looked into Justin's blue eyes, seeing concern there, as well as fear. Fear for his safety.
"It's okay, baby. I'm okay, just tired. I'll do as you ask. Don't worry, Jus."
Justin smiled a little, hearing Michael's soothing voice, telling him he was okay.
"I'm sorry, Michael. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." Alberto said between sobs.
Everyone turned and looked at Alberto and Paulo.
Paulo was trying to comfort his grandfather, who was emotionally upset, his hand grasping the photograph.
Nana got up, seeing that her grandson was okay, and walked over to the two men.
"Would someone please tell us what's going on here?" She said in a kind, calm voice.
Alberto looked up at her, she seeing his pained expression.
Nana put her arm around the man, trying to calm him down.
She looked at the photograph recognizing Michael's father, and the other man was indeed Alberto at a younger age.
"I've searched so long for you, my lost grandson. I never thought I'd ever find you. And then he came to me, he showed me where to find you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you right away, I just needed to see you myself , to see the loving man you are."
Alberto began to sob, his emotions visibly uncontrollable.
Paulo put his arms around his grandfather, consoling him. Nana had a tear in her eye knowing this man loved her grandchild, because he'd seen the man Michael really was.
Michael turned his head hearing Alberto's confession.
He smiled at the man, the man looking into his golden eyes.
Alberto didn't sense hatred or disgust in those eyes, or loathing. No, he only sensed concern and compassion.
"It's alright, grandfather. It's alright. Justin, let me get up."
Michael started to rise up, Justin pushing him back down.
"No, Mico. You need to relax. I know this is a big shock for you. For both of you. You need to regain your strength. I'm not letting anything, or anyone upset you. This can all be hashed out when you're better. We'll deal with this tomorrow."
Michael saw the determination in Justin's eyes. He wasn't budging.
Michael lay back down.
"Alright, Jus. But can I just talk to him for a moment."
Justin looked over at Alberto and nodded.
Alberto got up with Paulo's help and walked over to the couch. Justin got up letting the older man sit down beside Michael. Justin stood beside Michael.
Michael took his grandfather's rugged hand in his, looking into his golden eyes.
"Don't cry, grandfather. I'm okay, and I'm okay with all this. We have a lot to talk about, you and I. My father told me you were dead, that I didn't have any family. Now I've found you, and Paulo. I have a another family now. I have a grandfather. We'll talk more tomorrow, okay. Please come for Christmas dinner. I want all my family here. I love you, grandfather, and I love you Paulo."
Both men were in tears, seeing Michael's acceptance of them.
Justin was deeply moved by his lover's acceptance of these two men.
"Alright, Michael. It would be an honor to be in your home for Christmas dinner. Thank you, Michael. And I love you." Alberto said through his tears.
He squeezed his hand, not wanting to dare anything more. This was too new for both of them, and Michael was tired.
"As do I, Michael. I will be here also." Paulo said patting Michael's shoulder.
Michael smiled at both men, straining to keep his eyes open.
"I'm so tired, Jus. I want to sleep. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, Michael. Close your eyes, I'll carry you upstairs."
"Let me Jus. He's my cousin. I want to help." Paulo said, looking into Justin's eyes.
Justin smiled at him and nodded.
Alberto smiled at his grandson, seeing the depth of his love for Michael.
Paulo bent down lifting Michael up gently and heading out of the room, Justin and Nana following. Michael was sound asleep.
Lynn sat down beside Alberto, putting her arm around him.
"Well, apparently this has been a night for miracles."
Alberto smiled at her.
"That it has, that it has."
Zach and Christina looked at each other, Christina putting her head on his shoulder.
"Looks like Michael got his wish."
"What wish, sweetie?" Christina asked.
" Michael told me he'd always felt that part of him was missing. He'd wished with all his heart to have a whole family. I think Justin may have given him that now. As well as Alberto."
Alberto and Lynn looked up at him, smiling. Randall and Lisa smiled also, realizing that Zach may just be right.
After about ten minutes, Justin, Nana and Paulo came back down.
"He's sleeping quietly. He should sleep soundly." Justin said, everyone seeing the concern on his face.
Alberto rose from the couch walking up to Justin and Paulo.
Paulo put his arm through his grandfather's.
"We shall leave now, Justin. We will see you tomorrow."
"I need to say something first, Alberto." Justin said, everyone picking up on the seriousness in his voice.
"Alright Justin, you have the right to that." Alberto said.
"I don't know what the story is here, your story, or even Michael's part in it. But I want you to know something. I love him, completely, and without shame. He's the most important person in my life. I will not let anyone hurt him, not even his family. I care too much to allow anyone to hurt him again. He's been through too much already to justify any more pain. Do you understand me?"
Alberto looked into Justin's blue eyes, seeing the depth of his love for his grandson.
"I understand, Justin. I wish no harm to come to him also. Tomorrow we will talk, just talk. Michael and you, as well as all your family, have the right to know the truth. And Michael most of all needs to know the truth, about all of us. "
Justin bowed his head, holding out his hand.
Alberto shook it, his eyes never leaving Justin's.
"Until tomorrow then." Alberto said.
"Merry Christmas, Alberto. Merry Christmas, Paulo." Justin said, sincerity in his voice.
Paulo didn't hesitate, he hugged Justin, Justin hugging back.
"Merry Christmas, Justin. Merry Christmas everyone. " Both men said smiling at everyone.
Everyone said Christmas greetings back.
Paulo helped his grandfather walk out.
Justin sat down on the couch. Nana sat down beside him.
"Is everything ok, Justin?" Nana asked, sensing Justin was bothered by something.
He looked into her loving eyes.
"I'm scared." He said, Lynn sitting down on the other side of him.
"Scared of what? Scared of Paulo and Alberto?" Lynn asked, seeing her son's worried face.
"I'm scared of what this all means for Michael. His greatest fear may be coming true."
Everyone looked worried now.
"What fear?"
Justin sensed everyone's concern.
"His fear that he may be what they want him to be, and what they need him to be."
Justin got up, wanting to go up to Michael.
"What are you talking about, Justin?" Zach asked walking up to him.
"I'm sorry guys, just worried about Michael. Please don't worry. It will all be revealed tomorrow, I think."
Zach put his arm around Justin, hugging him.
"We're all here for you, Justin. Don't go this alone. We all care about Michael."
Justin smiled, hugging Zach.
"We should probably go to bed, the kids will be up early. " Justin smiled, thinking of Becky and Stevie.
Everyone smiled also, thinking of the kids.
"Lets get all their gifts and set everything up." Randall said, everyone pitching in to help.
WIthin an hour everything was set up.
"I'll show everyone their rooms, come on."
Justin walked out into the hallway, everyone following him upstairs.
They all said their goodnights, among hugs and kisses.
Once everyone was in their own room, Justin went downstairs to lock up and shut off the lights.
The final room he ended up in was the living room again.
So much had happened in this room tonight.
He stood looking at the lit christmas tree.
Michael's surprise. The circle of faith. The christmas tree of love.
Justin's standing in the center of that love, feeling Michael's love inside him.
And Michael's finding his grandfather.
Justin touched the ornaments that Nana had given both of them. The two angels.
A tear fell from his eye.
"He's not their angel, he's mine. I won't let them hurt him, ever."
He turned off the tree lights and walked back upstairs.
Walking into the room , he looked at Michael sleeping. The moonlight sent a beam across his sleeping face.
The face of Justin's angel.
Justin removed all his clothes, slipping quietly under the covers beside Michael.
"Merry Christmas, my angel." He said, kissing Michael's lips gently.
"Love you, Jus." Michael murmured, snuggling up against his chest.
Justin smiled,
"I'll love you forever, Michael. And protect you forever." He said, closing his eyes.
Justin woke up, sensing the early morning hour.
Michael's head lay against Justin's naked chest.
It was Christmas morning.
He lifted his head, looking at the clock. Five thirty.
He gently got up, Michael stirring a little bit.
Everything seemed fine.
He walked into the bathroom, closing the door.
He went to the bathroom, quietly crawling back into bed.
Michael murmured a little, not moving.
Justin looked down at his lover's body in the pale morning light.
Here before him was the gift he loved most of all.
And he so wanted to give Michael a special gift this morning.
He looked at Michael's exposed chest, seeing his chest lift and lower with each breath.
Justin leaned down, lightly kissing his lips.
Michael's eyes opened looking deeply into Justin's.
"Good morning, my love. Merry Christmas." Justin said, kissing him again.
"Merry Christmas, Jus. I love you."
Justin smiled, rubbing his fingers along Michael cheek.
"I love you more. How do you feel, Mico?"
"A lot better, I feel more energized. And I feel something more."
Michael pulled the covers down, exposing Justin's naked body.
"I don't think you're up for that, sweetie." Justin blushed a little, Michael staring at his body.
"Looks to me that someone is up." Michael lowering his hand to wrap around Justin's rising erection.
Justin moaned, looking into Michael's eyes.
"I have a wonderful Christmas gift for you, sweetie." Michael said lustfully.
Justin smiled, kissing Michael again.
"Michael, I love you so much. But are you well enough for this?"
As if to show Justin, Michael lowered his head, taking all of Justin's cock into his mouth.
Justin gasped, throwing his head back.
Michael deep throated him, down then up, his tongue licking the underside, sending bursts of electricity through Justin's body.
Michael's left hand tweaked his right nipple, Justin squirming at the touch.
"Oh god, Michael. Oh god, that feels so good."
Michael smiled, looking up at Justin. Justin ran his hands through Michael's hair.
Michael' s other hand went between Justin's legs, his fingers tracing their way to his hole. He entered one finger, Justin arching his back.
"Oh god." He moaned.
Michael could feel Justin's cock beginning to twitch and throb.
"Mmmmm." He purred loving the taste of his lover.
Justin was bucking and squirming, his hands were grasping the sheets , his passion overwhelming him.
Just when he thought he would explode, Michael pulled off, moving his body up to kiss Justin again.
"Oh god, my love, you excite me so much, I need you." Michael panted in his ear.
Justin had only a moment to gasp as Michael nibbled his ear.
Then Michael raised his body, Justin not sure what he was going to do.
Within a heartbeat Michael had positioned himself over Justin's hardened erection, and he sank down on it, it dissappearing inside Michael.
Justin's mind exploded with the colours of their love, the music enveloping him.
Michael stared down at his lover, their eyes focusing on each other.
Then Michael slowly began to rise, then sink down on Justin's hips.
Michael was moaning, his face flushed with desire.
He leaned down, kissing Justin's lips, their tongues entwining.
The passion flowed through them, Justin's hands finding Michael's left nipple and his hardened cock.
Michael rode Justin his body shivering and trembling.
"Oh god, Justin, you're completely inside me, I feel every inch of you, God you're amazing."
Justin grinned at his lover, sensing his abandonment, Justin pushing deep into him.
"God, yes that's it. All of you, deep inside me. God, I love you."
Justin pulled him back down, kissing him deep, Michael feeling Justin losing control.
Suddenly Michael felt the warm gushes exploding inside him, Michael's own cock exploding at the same time, Justin's chest feeling the dampness immediately.
Both men gasped, their bodies bucking and trembling after their release.
Michael opened his eyes, looking in Justin's.
"You're amazing, Jus. It's as good as the first time, always."
"I love you, Mico." Justin's tears flowing.
"I love you more, my love." Michael kissed him again.
Justin's face changed, his tears flowing more.
Michael pulled off Justin, laying down beside him, pulling him into his arms.
"Everytime, I make love to you, I get so emotional, Mico. It's not sex to me, it's love, pure love. You enter my soul."
Michael smiled, loving Justin's honesty.
"I feel the same way, Timby. You have the same effect on me. I've never had sex with you, I've only had love making."
Justin looked up seeing Michael's deep conviction. He was telling the truth.
"Merry Christmas, Michael." Justin kissed his lips.
"Merry Christmas, Jus. Your gift last night was more than I ever could of dreamed. It touched my heart that you would do that for me." Michael's eyes were watering.
"I love you, Mico. Seeing the joy and tears in your eyes last night, meant the world to me. Your happiness filled my heart."
Justin kissed him deeply.
"And I want you to fill me , fill me now with your love, my darling." Justin said, staring at his lover.
Justin pulled Michael on top of him, Michael kissing him deeply.
Justin wrapped his legs around Michael, feeling his cock hardening again against his own.
Michael lifted him up a little more, never moving his eyes from his.
"Make love to me Michael. Make deep passionate love to me." Justin pleaded.
Michael positioned himself, leaning forward and sinking deep into Justin.
Justin almost screamed feeling the connection again.
"Oh god, Michael, you're deep within me, we're together again. Take me, Mico. I'm yours forever."
Justin's deep emotional words excited Michael, making him quicken his stroke, sinking deeper into Justin.
Justin moaned, the bed trembling with his passion.
Michael kissed him, licking his nipples, sending Justin into a moaning fit.
Michael kissed him again, to silence the loudening gasps and moans.
He didn't want to wake the whole house. God, he hoped the door was shut.
They kept their rhythm going, Michael wrapping his hand around Justin's hardened erection.
Within moments both gasped and bucked, their orgasms coming together.
They both lay beside each other, their arms wrapped around each other.
"I have something for you, Jus." Michael said getting up slowly, Justin watching him for signs of fatigue.
Michael crossed the room to the chest, pulling a gift out of the left drawer.
He walked back to the bed, smiling at Justin, handing him the gift.
"For me?"
"No it's for my lover, Justin Timberlake. Do you know him?"
"Yeah, he's one hot guy, bit self centered though."
"Got that right, but man what a stud in bed."
Both men laughed, Michael kissing him again.
Justin looked at the tag.
"To Timby, love your soulmate, Mico."
Justin smiled, kissing Michael.
Justin opened the gift quickly finding a box.
He opened it finding Michael's novel.
He looked up at him, confused.
"I already have your novel, Michael." He said, smiling.
"You don't have this one, Jus. It's the first book printed. The publisher gave it to me. I had helped him with his daughter, who had some schooling problems. He thought I'd like the first book printed. This book means a lot to me. It's the first book off the assembly line. It's the first thing I could call my own. And I want you to have it. You mean even more to me than it."
Justin teared up, hugging Michael to him.
"Look inside, Jus."
Justin opened the book seeing a handwritten message.
"To Jus, you are my love, my life. This book was a first for me. You are a first and last for me. The first love and the last love I ever wanted. I love you, Jus. Forever. Mico."
Justin started sobbing, the message too emotional.
Michael took him in his arms, holding him close.
"This is why I love you so much, Mico. You make me fall in love with you all over again."
Michael's eyes were tearing too.
"You haven't opened the rest of the gift." Michael smiled breaking their hug.
Justin looked back into the box, pulling out some tissue paper. Underneath was another book.
He pulled it out, reading the title.
"The Final Love."
"By Michael Tavarro."
Justin's face lit up.
"My god, Mico!!! It's your second book!!"
Michael smiled.
"Yes, Jus. I got some advanced copies. "
Justin opened it, reading the jacket. Looking at the picture of Michael in the back.
"This is a great picture, Mico. Your eyes are almost glowing."
Michael blushed.
"Read the dedication page, Justin."
Justin trembled a bit, opening the book and finding the page.
Dedicated to T.
Your love and strength guided me to the right path.
Your faith and hope made my heart soar
We walk together now, hand in hand
As one, alone no more.
Justin looked up at Michael, seeing his wet eyes.
"T stands for Timby, Jus. I didn't want to risk anyone putting more into it."
Justin hugged Michael again, kissing him deeply.
"I love you Michael, and I love these gifts."
Michael smiled.
"So how about we go and make everyone a nice breakfast. Knowing the kids, they should be up soon."
Justin smiled, getting up.
"Shower first, love. Then if you're up to it, breakfast."
Michael smiled, taking Justin's hand and both walking naked into the shower.
They spent a leisurely half hour washing each other, kissing and touching.
Then they dressed each other, both picking out the other's clothes.
Michael ended up wearing a black sweater, and black cords.
"People are going to think I'm evil, wearing all this black." He smirked.
"I've told you before, you're damn hot in that colour, that's why I dress you in it."
Michael blushed, Justin kissing him lightly.
Michael had dressed Justin in a beige cashmere sweater, and dark brown chinos.
"And my man looks hot in any colour." Michael purred, putting his hands on Justin's ass cheeks, kneading them.
"Gotta go downstairs, sweetie. Or would you like to get naked for some more fun." Justing rubbed against him.
"No, unfortunately you wore me down, lover."
Justin's face changed.
"You okay, Mico?" His arms going around him.
"Relax, Jus. I'm fine. I'll be good today. No theatrics or acrobats. Promise." He raised his arm.
"Let's go then, baby. You can watch me make breakfast."
Michael raised his eyebrows.
"My god, I've created a monster chef."
Justin laughed, slapping Michael lightly on the butt, both men walking out of the bedroom.
Michael looked at his watch.
Ten minutes to seven.
And not a sound in the house.
They quietly went downstairs, Michael and Justin walking into the kitchen to find Zach and Christina making breakfast.
"Damn, we weren't quick enough, Mico." Justin beamed.
Zach looked up smiling at both of them.
He rushed to Michael kissing him on the lips, and kneading his ass.
"Merry Christmas, Mikey." He smiled. Michael totally shocked.
He turned and did the same to Justin. Justin not having a chance to stop him.
"Merry Christmas, Timberlake." He beamed.
Justin looked at Michael and winked. He turned back to Zach, licking his lips.
"Man, you're a fantastic kisser, Zacky. I want more, and maybe that hot bod of yours too."
Zach now looked shocked, and nervous,Justin backing him up against the counter.
"Hey, it was only a joke, guys. Mikey, control your boyfriend."
"It's okay, Zach, Justin always gives me sloppy seconds. He'll open you up real good."
Justin couldn't do it any more, he started laughing, Michael laughing now also.
"You two are sick man. Real sick." Zach looked at Christina, who was doubled over in laughter.
"Hey, you're supposed to protect me and stick up for me, sweetie." He said.
"Hey, I'm okay with it, if those guys want to, at least let me watch."
Justin was on the floor, Michael turning red with laughter.
Zach couldn't help it, he started laughing too.
"Let's get the breakfast ready, people should be down soon."
"Everything set up for the kids, Justin?" Michael asked.
"Yep, its all ready. The doors are shut so the kids can't get in till after breakfast."
"That's mean, I hated that when I was a kid." Zach said, Michael not saying anything.
Justin picked up on it.
"You okay, Mico?"
"Yes, I just want this to be really special for Becky and Stevie, as well as Jonnie. He's still a kid at heart, like you Jus."
Justin smiled, knowing Michael was thinking about his own early childhood.
"It will be, Mico." He kissed him tenderly.
Zach and Christina smiled at them. Christina gave Michael a coffee.
"So, you feeling better, Michael?" She said smiling, and blushing.
"Yes, much."
"I kinda figured that."
Michael looked up at her, not knowing what she meant.
Zach smirked, looking at Justin.
"How about I ellaborate.Oh god, Justin, you're completely inside me, I feel every inch of you, God you're amazing."
Justin blushed, embarassed, realizing they had been too loud.
Michael got up walking beside him, kissing his cheek
"And believe me Zach, it was fantastic. Justin sends me through the roof."
Now Zach blushed, Christina smiling.
"I'll never be ashamed of vocalizing Justin's love for me, or what he does to me. Hell, I'll scream it at the top of my lungs. Justin Timberlake is a fantastic lover!!!!!" Michael yelled.
Lynn and Lisa walked in, Justin practically turning beet red.
Zach and Christina both had their mouths hanging open.
Michael turned around smiling at the two women.
"Hello Lynn, hello Lisa. Just voicing my opinion on this man of mine. Merry Christmas, ladies."
He went up to each hugging them, and kissing their cheek.
"If you'll excuse me, I need to get something." Michael smiled, walking out of the room.
Lynn and Lisa turned looking at the others.
"Well, seems Michael is doing better, right Justin?" Lynn said.
"I'll voice my opinion, but not as loudly as Michael. I think he's in love." Lisa smiled.
Justin beamed.
"You've got that right, and it's me he's in love with. Can you believe that?" Justin said mostly to himself.
Zach smiled patting his back.
"Don't ever doubt that, Justin. You can see it the moment he looks at you."
"That's right, Jus." Lynn said kissing her son.
"Merry Christmas, Mom. " Justin hugged her, and kissed her.
Lisa got the same response and hugs.
Michael walked back into the room laughing, with Becky in his arms and Stevie hanging on his leg.
"I've been attacked by Christmas elves." He laughed, Becky getting down running at Justin.
Justin picked her up, kissing her cheek.
"Merry Christmas, Uncle Justin. Merry Christmas, Mommy and Zach." She smiled.
Everyone kissed her, and kissed Stevie.
"So kids, want to have some breakfast or open presents? " Michael asked.
"Presents." Said Jonathan as he walked into the room, Michael hugging him tight.
"Merry Christmas, Mikey." He said smiling.
He went around hugging everyone, as Paul and Randall walked in with Nana.
More greetings were exchanged.
"So, all of you kids line up." Michael said.
Becky, Stevie, Jonathan, Justin and Zach stood in a line, Becky and Stevie laughing.
"Okay, seems we have more than usual here today." Michael laughed.
"So ,what's it going to be, breakie or gifts."
They all screamed " PRESENTS!!!"
Everyone laughed.
"Seems the masses have spoken. Everyone follow me. Cameras at the ready."
The kids followed Michael out into the hallway.
"Just a moment." He said, quietly going into the living room, shutting the door.
A few minutes later he walked out wearing a red santa hat.
"Santa gave me specific instuctions for you kids."
Becky and Stevie's eyes grew larger.
"He said he wants to wish all of you a Merry Christmas." Michael smiled.
Michael opened the two doors with his gift, the door parting.
Everyone walked inside in awe at what they saw.
The room was darkened, the tree glowing blue and gold, with silver sparkles all through it.
In front of it were mounds of presents, lots of toys for the two small children.
Becky and Stevie were in shock, looking at all the visible toys, bikes, a large doll house, toy trucks for Stevie.
Randall showed him how to ride one, Becky mesmerized by the large doll house from Justin.
"Its a real house, Becky for all your dolls, including Tina." Justin smiled.
"It's from me and Uncle Michael." He beamed at Michael.
Michael blew him a kiss back.
Christina kissed both of them, knowing Justin was behind most of it.
"He's a kid at heart, you know that, Cricket." Michael smiled at her.
Everyone gathered together, sitting down watching the children.
Michael and Justin sat together on a couch with Jonathan.
The gifts were given out by Lynn and Randall, everyone beginning to open them.
It took over an hour for everyone to open their gifts.
Michael had given everyone copies of his new book as well as other gifts.
Jonathan had nearly jumped through the roof when he opened Justin and Michael's gift to him.
They'd bought him an electric guitar, complete with all the amplifiers.
Jonathan hugged and kissed both of them.
"I've been wanting one of these forever." He smiled, tears in his eyes.
"Justin told me you played a bit and wanted to learn more. We've also signed you up for lessons with a guitar instructor."
"Thanks a lot, boys. " Randall said, covering his ears, making a face.
Both men laughed.
"I wish someone here played, I'd love to see how it sounds."
"I play some." Michael said, Justin looking at him with surprise.
"Why doesn't that surprise me. Is there nothing you can't do?" Justin smiled, kissing him.
"I'll show you how to work it after, Jonnie."
Jonathan practically radiated with happiness.
"Thanks, Mikey."
They finished opening the gifts, Michael shocked by all the gifts that Justin and his family had given him.
Clothes, cd's, books, jewelry, so much.
Josh had given him and Justin each a gold chain with Michael and Justin's initals overlapping.
Justin had also bought him a "top of the line" laptop computer.
"For your writing when we travel, or I'm touring." He said, Michael kissing him.
"Wow, thanks Jus. That is a good idea." Michael smiled.
They'd both given each other clothes, silk boxers and robes, both men knowing what the other liked.
When everyone had opened Michael's book, Justin told them about the dedication page, that T was meant to mean Timby, Michael's pet name for him.
Everyone read the dedication, tears falling at the moving words.
He'd also given Lynn, Randall and Lisa, as well as Jonathan, a copy of his first book also.
They'd all promised him that they'd read both.
After everything was opened and the kids were playing with their toys, Justin and Michael helped clean all the paper up.
Everyone took their gifts up to their rooms, Lynn and Nana heading into the kitchen to start preparations for the large meal that afternoon.
Michael and Justin put their gifts for Paulo under the tree.
Michael sat down on the couch finishing a glass of orange juice.
Justin sat down beside him, snuggling up to him, Michael smiling, putting his arm around him.
"It's been a wonderful Christmas, Mico." Justin smiled, his head on his chest.
"Yes, its been remarkable." Michael said quietly.
Justin sensed Michael's quiet mood. He looked up at him. Michael looked into his blue eyes.
"Thank you, Jus. For being here to share it with me." Michael said, their lips meeting.
"I wouldn't want to share it with anyone else, lover." Justin said.
Michael smiled, still being quiet.
"You're worried about talking with Alberto and Paulo, aren't you?" Justin said, rubbing Michael's chest.
"I'm not worried, I'm just afraid of what they may tell me, about my family, and about myself. And what I may have to tell them." Michael said, his face blank of emotion.
Justin sat up. He put his arm around Michael's shoulders.
"You have an advantage on them, Michael. You know what you are, inside. A kind, caring , loving man, who respects what a family is and means."
Michael looked up at Justin, seeing his love shining through.
"I feel so happy for them. They get the happiness of having you in their family. I know how that feels." Justin said, the smile beaming on his face.
"I love you, Jus. Whatever they tell me, whatever I find out, it will never change how I feel about you. You're in my heart and soul forever."
Justin leaned in kissing him deeply.
"I know that, Mico. I love you just as much. Nothing or no one will ever change that."
Michael kissed Justin again, Nana standing in the doorway, listening to all they'd said.
She smiled, but her mind was worried about what Alberto might tell Michael.
She sensed something more was going on with those two men, and she needed to know what.
She walked back to the kitchen.
An hour later the front doorbell sounded, Jonathan answering it.
Michael looked up from the couch when Alberto and Paulo walked into the living room.
Both men smiled at him, but Michael sensed they were unsure of his reaction towards them.
He got up, smiling, going up to both men.
"Merry Christmas, grandfather." Michael hugged him, Alberto suddenly surprised.
Michael sensed his emotions on edge.
Michael then hugged Paulo.
"Merry Christmas, Paulo."
"Merry Christmas, Mikey." Paulo smiled at him, his feelings open before him.
Justin hugged both men also, Alberto again shocked.
"You're part of Michael's family now, so you're part of my family." Justin said to both.
Paulo's smile was infectious, Alberto now smiling.
They sat down together, Michael sitting with his grandfather on the couch.
"You're feeling better, Michael?" He asked.
"Much better, thank you. It's the love in this house, it makes me better."
Everyone smiled, Alberto somewhat taken aback by Michael's openness.
Everyone came in from the kitchen, greetings being exchanged.
Michael sensed everyone's uncertainty about his feelings towards his grandfather, knowing how his world had turned upside down last night.
"I'd like to say something if I may." Michael said standing up.
Everyone nodding, Justin getting up to stand beside him, Michael putting his arm around him.
"I sense everyone's concern for my feelings after last night's revelations, but please, I want all of you to know that I've never felt happier. I have my grandfather in my life now, and a new cousin, and I suspect a lot more family, am I right, Paulo?"
Michael smiled at Alberto, Alberto relaxing a bit.
"Yes Michael, our family is large. At the last count over two thousand world wide."
Everyone gaped at him, Paulo smiling.
"You have a lot of cousins, second cousins and more." Paulo laughed.
Michael and Justin sat down across from the two men.
"How are you and I related Paulo?" Michael asked.
Paulo smiled, but Michael felt a sadness in him.
"My mother was your father's younger sister. We're first cousins."
Alberto also felt Paulo's sadness.
"I had five children, Michael. Three daughters and two sons." Alberto said.
"Are my aunts and uncles all alive? I know Paulo's mother died when he was four."
"No, Michael. They are all dead except your uncle Fredrick." Alberto looked on the edge of breaking down again.
Michael got up, sitting down beside him, putting his hand on top of his.
"I'm sorry, grandfather. To lose your children must have been very hard. Was it from sickness?"
Alberto looked at Paulo, seeing tears in his eyes.
"No Michael, it wasn't sickness that took my children away. They were murdered. "
Everyone looked in shock at Alberto.
Michael looked into his eyes.
"What happened to them, Alberto?" Justin said, quietly.
Alberto looked over at Justin, Michael seeing the tears in his eyes.
"They were murdered because he deceived them. And it was all my fault, because I trusted him."
Michael hugged his grandfather to him, sensing his need for Michael's loving touch.
"Do you want to tell us what happened? If it's too painful, I'll understand."
"No, I'll tell you, Michael. You need to know. I just hope you can forgive me for not saving you."
Michael looked at him, confused.
"What didn't you save me from? I don't understand, grandfather." Michael looked into his golden eyes, Alberto seeing the love there now, Michael's love for him.
Would it last? Would Michael still love him when he told him the truth.
Paulo put his arm around his grandfather.
"Tell him the truth, Poppa. Please, he needs to know everything." Paulo said to his grandfather.
Alberto took a deep breath.
"I didn't save you from his evil, and his abuse, Michael."
Michael felt a shadow fall over him, he felt a foreboding.
Michael stood up, walking in front of the window looking out.
Justin was worried, something was wrong here.
Alberto looked at Michael, dreading what he had to say.
Michael turned to look at him. He saw the pain in Alberto's eyes.
And Michael was beginning to see the pieces falling into place. He sensed the truth.
"It's alright, grandfather. Tell me what he did."
"Your uncle Fredrick killed your father, Michael. Eighteen years ago, he murdered his only brother and his three sisters."
Nana gasped, Zach putting his arm around her.
Justin jumped up, quickly walking beside Michael.
"That's impossible, Michael's father is in prison or was ten years ago." Justin said, worried for Michael.
He put his arm around Michael, feeling his body trembling.
"My father was a twin, wasn't he Alberto?" Michael said.
Alberto looked up in shock.
"The man who abused me wasn't my father. The man who hurt me wasn't my father. My father loved me so much when I was a small child, and when I was seven he went home to see you in Spain.
And when he came back from that trip the abuse began. Because he wasn't the same man. He wasn't the same loving man. It was Fredrick, wasn't it, Alberto?"
Michael had tears flowing down his cheeks, Justin was crying too.
Alberto broke down, Paulo trying to comfort him.
"My loving son, Ramon. My baby, he was so kind and gentle. You are so like your father, Michaelangelo. So like my Ramon."
Michael walked over to him, kneeling in front of him.
"Fredrick murdered my father, then took his place. He deceived me and my mother, didn't he?"
"Yes, Michael. He deceived all of us. He tried to kill me, but your father saved my life, only to give up his own to do it." Alberto was sobbing, Michael taking him into his arms.
Everything became clear now to Michael, the abuse, the hatred. His father's raping his mother that night.
The man so wanting to kill Michael.
To stop what he knew needed to be stopped.
Michael now believed what he was.
Fredrick wanted to relish the torture, to savor the pain.
Because the man was pure evil.
And Michael was the key to destroying that evil.
Michael held his grandfather, Paulo trying to hug them both. Justin was in tears, Nana hugging him now.
"It's alright, Poppa." Michael said, calling him that to show his love for him.
"It's not your fault, it's his. He's evil, I realized that a long time ago. I just didn't know how evil."
Alberto clung to Michael, not wanting to let him go, this sweet child of his son's love.
"Your father loved you so much, Michael. You're all he talked about when he came home."
Michael began to cry, Justin putting his hand on his shoulder.
Michael looked up at him, seeing his love shining beside him.
"Thank you, grandfather, you don't know what that means to me."
Alberto calmed down after a while, Michael standing up again. He walked to the window seeing the warm sun shining.
He turned and faced everyone.
"I was loved. My father did love me. I was loved."
Michael's tears erupted, his body taken over by sobs.
Justin ran to him, enveloping him in his arms, holding him tight.
They stood there alone, Michael safe in Justin's arms.
Everyone sensed how much this meant to Michael.
He had been loved.
And he could now carry that love in his heart.
