AUTHORS NOTES***** Where to begin. Well this is Chapter 20. I can't believe that I've actually gotten this far. Originally I told myself that if I ever got this far with the story, that I would make a big deal out of this chapter. Well now that I'm here, I'm not going to. I decided that I'll make a big deal out of chapter 25 when I get there. I already have a few surprises worked out for it, including a couple of guest stars. So be on the lookout for it.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support. You make it easier to write the story. Special thanks to Josh. I get a laugh out of our e-mails. Tell your Brian that I said hi. He'll be home soon.

And SB. Where are you? Let me know that you're alive. I miss you.

And last but not least. Thanks to a very special friend (yes you Ed), it has been brought to my attention that Kevin, knows about me and this story, and that he is flattered that I'm writing it about him. Let me just say that when I found this out I about died. I wanted to stop writing the whole thing right then. But after is sunk in that he knew about it, I thought that if he ever read it (and I know he won't) that he would be happy with the way I portrayed him. So Kevin this is for you. And if for some reason you do read this, drop me a line and let me know what you think.

Here we go.

KEVIN & JORDAN

CHAPTER 20

"Nick, thank you for everything," I said, pulling out of the hug I was giving him.

"Jordan, it's no problem," he replied.

We were at the airport dropping off AJ, Nick, and Brian, who were heading back to Orlando to enjoy the rest of their time off, before heading to Europe to finish up work on their next album.

Kevin and Brian were in the corner of the room talking, while Howie, David and I, were saying good by to Nick and AJ.

"Kevin, have you talked to anybody about this yet?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, Jordan, a little, he's the only one that matters,"

"Kev, you're family, and I love you, and you know that I'm going to support you no matter what you do. But, I want to remind you of a couple of things," Brian said.

"And those things being," Kevin replied, getting just a little annoyed.

"Kevin, don't get all defensive on me. I know you want this, and I want you to be happy, so please just listen to me."

"You're right. I'm sorry. I just want Jordan to be happy, and what ever I have to do, to make sure he is, I will."

"I know that. So just listen to me for a minute, please," Brian pleaded.

"Okay...I will," Kevin said, giving in.

"All right. First, if you want to do this, it's fine with me, but you have three other people to talk to about this. It's their careers too. Second, have you said anything to your mother yet?"

"Uhm...no." Kevin answered, looking away from Brian.

"I didn't think so. And last but not least, have you said anything to The Firm yet?"

"No, I haven't. Bri, I need your help. I don't know what to say to them. But, I'll tell you this. This is really important to him and to me too. I can't lie about this anymore, and I have to do this. So, my mom is the next to find out. And I know that this is going to sound harsh, but I'm doing this with or without her approval."

"Kev..."

"No Brian...you're not changing my mind. My dad knew about me being gay before he died, and before we got big. And one of the last things he said to me, was to always to be honest with myself, and that's what I'm going to do. So, as soon as Jordan is ready, we will do this together. Can you understand?"

"Yeah, I can," Brian said, wiping away a tear from his face. He was so proud of his cousin, for taking a stand in his life. He would do what ever he had to, to make this easier for him. "I don't think that the guys are going to really say anything, but like I said, you need to tell them. Ya' know?"

"Yes, I do. And I will when I get back to Orlando next week. But, right now, he needs me."

"I know Kev. I know. I just have to ask you one more thing."

"And that is?"

"Please, don't hate me for this, I love you, and I just want to know. Just how much do you love him?"

"I should really be mad at you for asking, but you are the one person that has always been there for me, so here goes. Brian, he is the first person that I think about when I get up in the morning, and the last person that I think about when I go to bed at night. My whole life revolves around him. When I think about him, I get this warm feeling all through my body, and when I'm away from him, it feels like part of me is missing. I have never been more in love with anybody than I am with him, and I will do whatever it takes to make sure he is happy."

"So this isn't another Ryan?"

"Oh my God Brian. I can't believe you even asked that. He is SO NOT Ryan. He is everything that Ryan wasn't, or couldn't ever hope of being."

"Okay, okay. I get the idea. I just wanted to make sure. You do know that he feels the same way. Right?"

"I hope so."

"He does Kevin, he does. Don't worry. If he didn't, D. and I never would have pushed you guys together like that."

They were interrupted by the sound of the gate clerk announcing the flight to Florida. "Now boarding flight 997 for Orlando."

"Well, I guess we should be getting back huh?" Brian said.

"Yeah, let's go."

Two hours later, we were back at my house, after stopping to get some movies. I went into the living room with Howie, while David, and Kevin went to the kitchen to get us something to eat and drink,

"So, uh...Howie, did you guys have fun last night?' I questioned, knowing full well that they did, but it was too much fun to play with his head.

His face turned bright red, as he looked at me, "Yeah, we did. We weren't too loud or anything were we?" He asked nervously.

"No not at all," I replied with a grin.

"Oh...okay." Howie mumbled. That was it. I couldn't take it anymore and I burst out laughing.

"What? What are you laughing at?"

At that moment David and Kevin mad their way back into the living room, and saw me sitting on the couch holding my stomach, and laughing my ass off.

"Jordan what's so funny?' Kevin asked.

"Howie and I were talking about if he and David there, had a good time last night. He asked me if they had made too much noise, and I said with a really straight face that they hadn't. Well, then Howie said okay, and I couldn't help it, but all I can remember is David yelling Howie's name last night and I lost it. I'm sorry guys, but it was just too funny. Kevin and I were on the floor laughing last night."

By this time Kevin was laughing with me, remembering the events of last night. Both Howie and David were red as beets in embarrassment. I finally managed to get myself together and so did Kevin and we looked at the other two.

"You guys. We are sorry. We shouldn't have laughed at you like that, but you have to admit that if we could hear you down the hall, that you were pretty loud."

"Yeah we were, but you know, at least we weren't doing anything in the car on the way home last night, like two certain people, who shall remain nameless, but are in the room right now." David said, proudly.

Now it was our turn to turn red, and boy did I. I had never done anything like I did to Kevin last night in the car. And I had the feeling now seeing him like this that neither had he.

"Okay...okay, we're even," Kevin said, admitting defeat.

"Oh I don't think so. We will get you back for this," Howie said.

"So, Jordan, what movies did you get?" Kevin asked, trying to change the subject.

"Yeah, what did you get? You wouldn't let us see them after you came out of the store?" Howie questioned.

I just looked at Kevin, glad that his distraction had worked. "Well I got us three. You could say that we are going to have us a little gay film festival tonight. First we have a personal favorite Cruel Summer' with Craig Beckham, hottie that he is," I said showing the video. "Next we have another favorite Into the Sun' starring Matt Thompson, yet another hottie. And last but not least, we have my absolute favorite, `Beautiful Thing' with those two cute little English boys." I concluded, holding up the two additional videos.

"Ooh...I can't wait to see `Cruel Summer', I heard that it's fantastic," Howie gushed.

"Yeah, so did I. I also heard the same thing about `Into the Sun'," David added.

"What's this `Beautiful Thing' sweetie. I've never heard of it," Kevin asked, taking the video box from my hand to look at it.

"Oh my God. Are you serious? You've never heard of it? David, you've heard of it right?" I asked, looking at him.

"Yeah, I have. Actually it's one of my favorites too. It's a really sweet movie. You guys will like it."

"What's it about?" Kevin asked.

"It's about these two boys who...wait a minute...I'm not telling you what it's about, your going to have to wait and see." I said, not falling into his trap. If you have never seen it, you just need to experience it.

"So what do we watch first?" David asked.

"'Cruel Summer'," Howie piped up.

"Fine with me," Kevin commented.

"Me too," David added.

"Well, `Cruel Summer' it is then," I said, as I went to the VCR, and put the movie in, and returned to the couch where Kevin was sitting, and snuggled up with him.

Two hours later the movie was over, and we all sat there a little dumbfounded.

"Wow. That is all I can say," Howie said.

"I know what you mean. I've seen this before, but it never had this much effect on me," David added.

"You're right. It somehow takes on a whole different meaning, don't you think Jordan?" Kevin said as he looked to me. All he saw was a few tears streaming down my face.

"Uhm...yeah...I guess," I said, while I tried to wipe the tears away, and sniffled at the same time.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" Kevin asked, putting his arm around me, to try and comfort me.

"Nothing...I'm just being stupid. It's just that, that movie brings back a lot of memories for me. It's kind of the same things that I went through when I figured out that I was gay. I really had a hard time telling my parents. That's all. I'm fine. I swear. Now lets watch the next movie. Okay?"

"If you're sure," Kevin stated.

"Yes, I'm sure. What are we watching next?" I asked, as I pushed the rewind button on the remote.

"I think that we should watch `Beautiful Thing' next. It's a great movie, and it is not all that heavy either," David said.

"Good idea. David, will you take care of it? I've gotta do something real quick. I'll be right back," I said, as I got up off of the couch, giving Kevin a kiss, and made my way back to my bedroom.

I walked into the bedroom and picked up the phone, and dialed the number from memory.

"Hi mom, it's me,"

"Jordan, honey how are you?"

"I'm fine I guess," I said, trying to keep my emotions in check.

"No you're not. Tell me what's wrong. Please," she pleaded with me.

"Mom, it's just...it's just that we just got done watching this movie, and it brought back some memories of when I came out to you, and how hard it was with Dad."

"Jordan, I don't know what to say to you. You know that your step-father and I have always supported you, and don't have a problem with it. Your father on the other hand is another story. I don't know what to say about him."

"I know mom. Thank you. I'm just glad that I know that I can count on you, and Kevin."

"Kevin, who's Kevin?"

"Mom, you know who Kevin is. I told you all about him when I got back from Chicago. You know, Kevin Richardson...the Backstreet Boy."

"Oh yeah, that's right. Now I remember. How are things with you too? Is he treating you right?"

"Everything is fine mommy. And yes, he treats me very good. A lot better than Chad ever did."

"Oh, that name. Let's just not talk about him. Okay?"

"You're right. I don't want to talk about him either. Let's just say that Kevin is the best thing to ever happen to me. I love him mommy."

"I know you do sweetie. I can hear it in your voice. Just promise me one thing Jordan."

"What?"

"Just be careful."

"I will mom. I promise."

"I love you Jordan. I just don't want to see you get hurt again."

"I know mom. I won't. Listen, I gotta run, there are people waiting for me."

"Okay sweetie. Take care of yourself, and tell Kevin that I said hello, and that I can't wait to meet him. I love you."

"I will mom. I love you too. Tell Gary that I said hi."

"I will. Bye sweetie."

"Bye mommy, I love you," I said, as I hung up the phone.

Ten minutes later after getting off of the phone. I returned. The guys were sitting there talking, waiting for me.

"So are we ready for this?" David asked, seeing me come back into the room.

"I know that I am. This is my favorite movie. Kev, I'm just going to warn you, some of this is going to be hard to understand, due to the accent's," I said, as I sat back down next to him.

"What is so hard about them? And where did you go?"

"Because they all have South London accent's, it took me about six times watching this before I could figure out everything that they were saying. And for the second question, I called my mom, to tell her I love her."

"OH. But, you have to remember something. Before we got big over here, we spent an awful lot of time in Europe. England especially, so we are used to the accents. Right Howie?"

"Yup, so don't worry about it. I'm sure if we have a question, we can ask you, since you've seen it so many times," Howie replied.

"Cool. Who has the remote?" I asked.

"Meeee.." Howie cheered, like a little kid.

"Well what are you waiting for D? Let's get on with this," Kevin said in as fatherly tone as he could.

"Yes Dad," Howie replied.

As the movie started, and all four of us got comfortable. David and Howie were sitting on the loveseat with their arms around each other. Kevin and I were on the couch. He was lying down, with his back to the back of the couch, with me in front of him, and his arms wrapped around me. The perfect position for watching a movie. Or at least that's what I thought. Kevin must have thought so too. He kept kissing the back of my neck, and nibbling on my ears every now and then. Yup, I was right. This was the perfect position for watching a movie.

Ste and Jamie were dancing in the plaza as the movie ended. I looked over to Howie and David, who were cuddled up with each other even more than before. Both had slight tear traces running down their faces.

"So did you guys like the movie?" I asked.

"Yeah...I did," Howie answered, wiping his eyes.

"Yeah, me too, I forgot how good it was," David said.

I rolled over to look Kevin directly in the eyes. "And what about you? What did you think?"

He just smiled at me. "I loved it, now I can see why you like this movie so much," he said, as he kissed my lips lightly.

"Boo." I said, as seductively as I could.

"Yes, my little star."

"Make love to me."

"Now?"

"Yes!"

Kevin climbed over me, and got off of the couch. "Uhm...guys...you'll have to excuse us...we're..." Kevin never finished what he was saying. He just picked me up, and carried me to the bedroom, kissing me all the way.

"Wow!" Howie exclaimed.

"Was that for the movie, or for Kevin and Jordan?" David asked.

"For them you goof," Howie said, as he playfully punching David in the arm.

"Why is that? I mean..." David never had the chance to finish, as Howie interrupted him.

"David, my love, let me tell you something. Kevin has never, and I mean never acted like this," he explained.

"What, you mean he's never been in love before?" David asked, not understanding what Howie was talking about.

"Oh no, he's been in love before, but Kevin doesn't display it in front of anybody. The thing you have to understand about him is that he hides his emotions from everyone. He doesn't even let Brian know how he feels. Until now," Howie further explained. "It's just not in his nature for other people to see how he's feeling. He keeps it all bottled up in side of himself, ever since his father died."

"So then why is he acting like this now?"

"Babe, I don't know, but to be honest with you. I'm glad he is. I love the guy, don't get me wrong, but sometimes he is just way too serious. And now he is actually loosening up. This is the happiest I've ever seen him."

"Well good. I'm happy for them. I'm glad that they bring this out in each other."

"Oh, I am too. I just hope that nothing happens to change all of this. And that goes for Chad too. He is the one thing that will get between them."

"I know Howie. Don't worry about him though. He won't get in the way."

"Damn it Jordan," Chad thought. "Why can't you see that I still love you. You don't need that fucking New Kids reject. Somehow I've got to make you see that."

Chad was sitting in his apartment. Still nursing his sore groin. All of his thoughts were directed on getting Jordan back.

A slight grin came to his face as an idea formed in his head.

"Oh yeah. This will work just fine. I just hope that Phil thinks it's okay. I know that he told me to be patient, but I can't wait any more. I want him back," he said out loud, as he got off of his couch, turned off the TV, and headed to bed.

"Bob, come on. I need to head back to LA tonight. I have an important meeting tomorrow morning," Phil said, trying to get out of bed.

"Okay...okay...I just don't' get to see you enough, and I want to spend some time with you. Is that so bad?" Bob pleaded.

"No, it's not. And I wish that we could spend more time together too," Phil said, as he was getting dressed.

"Well what are we going to do about it?" Bob asked.

"I don't know. Right now all I'm thinking about is the meeting tomorrow."

"What's it for?"

"I'm trying to get Jordan a movie to do once his show wraps for the season. And if this meeting goes good, and he gets that Emmy nod, then Jordan is going to have more work than he can shake a stick at."

"How so?"

"Let's just say that two of the stars of the movie approached me about getting Jordan for this. And it is bound to be a hit. It's just what Jordan needs. I know that he is doing great on the show, but I see so much potential in him, and I want him to succeed."

"Who are they?"

"If I tell you, you can't say anything to Jordan. Okay?"

"Phil, I haven't talked to him in about a month, he's been too busy, and who knows when I'll be able to talk to him again. So just tell me. Or no more sex."

"Okay, okay. I don't want that. It's Craig Beckham, and Matt Thompson."

"You're kidding right? I mean what would they want with Jordan? They could get anybody, why him?"

"Obviously they're impressed with his work, and they want to work with him. So I'm going to make sure that happens," Phil answered, just as he finished dressing. "Hey, I have an idea. Why don't you come home with me? It'll give us a chance to spend some more time together, and you can see Jordan."

"I don't know. I have stuff to do around here," Bob explained.

"I thought you said you were off until Wednesday? It's Sunday night now that gives us two whole days. Besides you need to meet Jordan's new boyfriend."

"What?! What new boyfriend? I didn't know anything about a new boyfriend."

"That's why you need to come with me. You'd never believe me if I told you. This you have to see for yourself."

"Okay, you've convinced me. Give me half an hour to get dressed, and get some clothes together."

"Yeah, it's me. Listen, I need a favor," a voice said into the phone.

"What?" was the response.

"Don't get all testy on me. You owe this to me," the first voice replied.

"Fine. What is it then? I don't have all night."

"This is what I need," the first voice again replied, as it went on to say what it needed. Not leaving out a single detail. When it was finished, the phone was hung up, and the voice's owner sat there satisfied with the plans that were made.

"Now you're mine Jordan. You're not going to get away from me again," Chad said, as he turned off the light next to his bed, and went to sleep.

I really hate to say it, but

TO BE CONTINUED...

And now for a plug. If you haven't seen "Beautiful Thing" you really need to. It's a wonderful movie. Just go rent it.
