Some time later, after Megan had finished playing outside, Tyler glanced inside. The fans seemed to keep multiplying and multiplying. Lance's hand had to be tired by now... as well as his ears. If Tyler ever heard another teenage girl scream "OH MY GOD! YOUR LANCE!" or something similar, he'd strangle her. Not really, but still. He was outside, and his ears were ringing. It had gotten to the point where Megan was complaining, and normally she never wanted to leave Mc Donald's play stucture.

"Daddy, how come Lance isn't playing with us?" Megan asked, sitting on top of the slide. Tyler glanced inside and groaned.

" Meggers, Lance has some things to do. If he could, I'm sure he would be out here playing with us." Tyler answered. Megan nodded, then pouted.

" Who are all those people?" She asked, pointing inside to Lance, surrounded by the screaming fans. Tyler wondered how to explain Lance and N Sync to Megan, but luckily Megan took matters in her own hand.

" I want!" She screeched, gesturing inside to Lance. "I want him to play!"

" Why don't we go ask him?" Tyler suggested, knowing Lance wouldn't turn Megan down, and it would get him away from the screaming girls.

"Please!" Megan said. Tyler nodded, and quietly led Megan inside. The crowd's were still there, inching forward with their papers and pens clutched in their tight grasp. Megan glanced around, and seeing everyone crowd around Lance, made her a bit upset.

"Lance!" She screeched. He glanced at her, but didn't stop signing autographs. "Lance!" She screamed again. Tyler just chuckled and walked towards their table. The crowds weren't about to let them cut, and it took several harsh words from Tyler as well as an explaination from Lance that these two were his friends to let the crowd part. Megan eventually reached Lance, and being Megan, began to smile. She walked to Lance and began to hug his legs. He chuckled and picked her up.

" Hey there Meggers. Whatcha doing?" He asked. She just sat there and hugged him.

" Meggers, glad to see Lance are you?" Tyler asked. She nodded then began to close her eyes. She was worn out, and before either of them could predict what would happen, she was asleep in Lance's arms. Tyler was amazed. Megan didn't normally trust people instantaniously, but obviously Lance was different.

" She's so cute!" one of the many fans said.

" Thanks." Tyler responded, gazing at Megan and Lance. They looked so happy. Slowly his heart began to soften, and without even realizing it, he fell in love. Lance was everything he ever wanted... a sweet guy that was fun to be around, who loved kids, and accepted Tyler and Megan. His gaze went softer, and slowly he came out of his trance.

" Maybe you should take her home." Another fan suggested, and Lance nodded.

" Megan is a bit tired." He said. Some fans nodded, while others looked upset.

" Is she your daughter?" a girl with brown hair towards the back of the crowd asked. Lance chuckled a bit.

" I wish. She's wonderful, but only a friends god daughter." He replied.

" Yeah... she is wonderful." the same girl said. "She looks so happy right now."

" She is. She's dreaming about Winnie the Pooh probably." Tyler replied. He couldn't believe that all the girls had stopped screaming. They were almost completely silent, letting Megan sleep.

" Do you guys mind if I take her back to Tyler's house?" Lance asked the crowd. Most of them shook their heads, and a couple took the initiative and said "get out of here." but still some were upset. They had come down here, hoping to meet Lance, but now he was leaving. Tyler saw that some were upset, and quickly assessing the situation, looked at Lance. He almost seemed to read Tyler's thoughts and, agreeing, stood up still carrying Megan.

" I know some of you are upset that you didn't get an autograph, but Megan really needs to get to bed. I'm really sorry." He said, looking genuinely sad. They just stood there. Eventually the crowd parted and Lance walked through. He looked so cute, carrying Megan and grinning. Tyler followed and the three of them left Mc Donalds. That was the first time Lance had been able to get out of a crowd of fans so easily, without some crying or screaming. He was amazed, but looking down at Megan knew it was her magic that had allowed them to leave.

"Thank you Meggers." He whispered. She just continued to sleep, happy in her own dream land.

"Nice apartment." Lance commented, walking in with Megan still in his arms. He had held her the entire car ride and was now ready to place her gently in her little bed. His arms ached, but he refused to mention that to Tyler. If he did, Tyler would insist of carrying Megan to her bed, and he wanted to. As silly as it sounded, he wanted to be the one to hold Megan. Lance had fallen under her spell in less then a day. But more importantly, Megan had fallen under his.

" Thanks." Tyler responded. "Come on, I'll show you Megan's room. I'm sure your arms are tired."

" How'd you know?" Lance asked, following Tyler down a hall and into the pink bed room that was Megans. After Tyler folded down her quilt, Lance leaned forward and placed her gently down. He smiled softly as he saw Megan roll over and hug one of her care bears. Lance adjusted the quilt so that it covered Megan in case she got cold, and walked out, following Tyler.

" I've carried her too." Tyler commented. Lance chuckled.

" Yeah, I sort of forgot that." He said. Then Tyler chuckled.

" Your good with kids." Tyler said. Lance looked at him, not sure what to say. Tyler seemed to sense this and continued. " I mean, look at Megan. Normally it takes her a week or two to trust new people, but the second she met you she latched on." Lance looked at him once again, amazed.

" Really?" He questioned, not really believing him. How could Megan be considered shy?

" Really." Tyler confirmed. Lance just stood there for a second, analyzing what Tyler had said.

" So..." Lance said, unsure of what to say now that the two of them were alone.

" So..." Tyler said at the same exact time. The two of them laughed a bit. That little akward moment appeared to have been enough for the two of them to break the ice, so to speak. Shortly afterwards they were talking like the best of friends.

" How'd you get started in N Sync?" Tyler asked, interested.

" It's a long story." Lance commented. Tyler nodded.

" You don't have to tell me if you don't want too." He added. Lance shook his head.

" I don't mind telling you, I was just saying it's a long story... you might want to sit down or something."

" How about we both get some sodas and sit down on the couch?" Tyler commented. Lance agreed.

" What's your favorite kind of soda?" Lance asked as the two of them headed towards the kitchen.

" I'm a big Lemonade fan. Caffine doesn't seem to like me." Tyler explained.

" Ahhh. I like root bear." Lance added.

" Well your in luck. That's Rach's favorite drink. We have tons." Tyler said, opening the fridge and grabbing a root bear for Lance. Grinning greatfully, Lance popped the top and took a long sip. Tyler made do with a snapple lemonade. The two of them, now less thirsty, walked towards the living room.

" So, you really wanna hear the story?" Lance asked. Tyler just nodded. Lance settled down on the couch and gestured for Tyler to sit also.

" Thanks." Tyler whispered, sitting down on the opposite end, not trusting himself to be that close to Lance... who knew what he might accidently do.

" So... How did I come to join N Sync..." Lance almost mumbled. Then he launched into the story. He explained how Chris started the group and invited Justin to join. Justin had known JC from the Mickey Mouse Club...

" No kidding? The two of them were on the MCC?" Tyler asked. Lance nodded. " Weird."

" Why's that?" Lance asked.

" Ohhhh. Long story." Tyler said. Then he frowned. That reminded him of Matt... a completely different subject.

" Wanna share?" Lance questioned.

" Actually Lance, I'd rather not. It's sort of personal." Tyler commented. Inside his head, he knew eventually he was going to have to tell Lance about Matt... but now wasn't the time.

" Okay." Lance said, being understanding. "Now where was I?" He continued the story. "After JC joined the group, the three of them went clubbing..."

" Hey, wait. I might not know that much about you guys but Justin isn't old enough to go clubbing now! How'd he go clubbing when he was younger?" Tyler asked. Lance chuckled.

" Do you have any idea how many reporters asked us that?" He questioned. Tyler shook his head. " Well, take it from me. A lot of them!"

" So how did he go clubbing?" Tyler questioned, not relenting.

" If you must know, Chris sneaked JC and Justin in."

" Why JC?" Tyler inquired.

" He wasn't 21 yet either." Lance explained.

" OHHHHH." Tyler said, getting it.

" So anyways, the three of them went clubbing and ran into Joey. Chris had known Joey from some auditions and stuff. The three of them asked Joey to join the group, and he agreed." Lance said.

" So that's how the four of them got together. What about you?" Tyler asked.

" Ahhh. I was living in Mississippi at the time. Justin's vocal coach used to live there, and be my vocal coach. He asked her for a recomendation, and she recommend me." Lance said. Tyler nodded. " Then my mom and me traveled to Orlando, I auditioned, and they liked my voice. I was it."

" Cool." Tyler said.

" Yeah, cool." Lance said, grinning a bit. Tyler looked at Lance for a second. He looked so happy, thinking about the group. Some where inside he got the urge to kiss Lance, but he knew he shouldn't, couldn't even. Still... Lance was looking at him with those green eyes...

Without thinking of the consequenced, Tyler leaned forward. His lips were approaching Lances, and seconds later they met. The kiss was simple. Lance didn't even pull away. They just kissed softly. Ten seconds later Lance pulled away. Looking at Tyler, he knew that he needed to leave. Without saying a word, he stood up and left. He didn't even look over his shoulder at Tyler. He didn't see the multitude of tears forming. He didn't hear Tyler's lips whsiper the word Lance. He didn't even see his coat lying on the chair.

Lance walked out, leaving Tyler sitting there. When Tyler was finally alone, the tears began to fall.

" Why Lance?" He questioned before giving into the tears that were streaming from his eyes. _____________________________________________________________________
