The usual disclaimers apply, you know if you should be reading this or not. But heck, who am I to stop you? With that said let the story begin.
The Last Free Kids: The Aftermath
Richard drops the bottle straight on top of Jonathon's head. The glass shatters, leaving a laceration on the boy's cheek. He then walks over to Ali, grabbing the collar of his shirt. Ali has the muzzle of his gun to the drunkard's stomach.
"Put me down!" Ali yells. Richard raises his gun to Ali's temple. Kyle slowly creeps over to Jonathon, knowing Ali can handle himself. He sits beside the crying boy, of ten years. He raises the boy off the couch and brings him toward the door leading to the kitchen. A gunshot rings throughout the house. Corona quickly turns around to see Richards knees buckle, letting Ali to the floor. A large blood spatter and a small hole in the wall, confirm Corona's suspicions.
"Ali, meet me in the kitchen." Corona says.
Jonathon, now in Kyle's arms, gets carried into the kitchen, where his mother's loving arms await. He places Jonathon by his mother, who pulls the boy into her arms and kisses her son. Kyle kneels beside Mrs Johnston and Jonathon. He places a hand on the Mrs Johnston's shoulder, then saying,
"Ma'am, are you all right?"
"I'm fine, thank you. May I ask, how much do I owe you for this visit?" Mrs Johnston asks.
"Nothing, madam. All I ask is that you keep Jonathon safe, and get a new husband." Kyle says, while leaning forward and giving Jonathon a light kiss on his brow.
"Thank you Ali, Kyle. And I will do as you wish."
"We, will have an ambulance here in a few minutes to examine Jonathon. And to, ahem, collect your former husband's body." Ali says.
"Once again, I thank you."
"Good night. Call us again if you need us. But, we've got to run off. I've got my own, little one to take care of." Kyle says.
"All right then. I'll leave you to your own."
The boys walk outside, and Kyle removes his cell phone. Calling the emergency line.
"Hello, this is Christi, what is your emergency?" She asks.
"Yes, this is on-duty ERT Captain Kyle Corona, badge number 101688. We have a male, approximately 35 years of age, with a nine-millimetre gunshot wound to the lower abdominal area. We also have a male of ten years, with a laceration to the left facial region. Will you please send an emergency vehicle to have them examined?" Kyle informs Christi.
"Thank you Captain Corona. The team will be there in approximately three minutes."
"Good evening."
The two walk back the short three blocks to the condo. They enter the house, unaware of what happened. Kyle walks up to Jesse and Joey's room. He flips the light on, only to find Joey and Jesse missing. He walks hurriedly to his own room. Jesse lay on the bed, entangled in the white sheets. He moves to the boy's side, kissing the nape of his neck. The little boy stirs, turning into Kyle's arms.
"Hey Kyle. How's Joey doing?" Jesse asks, a bit groggily.
"That's what I was going to ask you. He's not in your room." Kyle says.
"What do you mean? Is he like in Scott's room maybe?"
"Well, let's find out." Jesse gets lifted off the bed, his body bare, save for the pair of white briefs he dons.
They walk down the hall, and open the door. Kyle stares at the two boys, Keith gently spooned into Scott's body. Kyle gently sets Jesse down on the edge of the bed. He slips an arm around Scott's waist,
"Scott, wake up." Kyle says.
"What is it?" Scott, whispers, in an effort not to wake Keith.
"Where is Joey?"
"The last time I checked he was in his room. Why?"
"Well, he's not there. And Jesse doesn't know where he is either."
"You have got to be shitting me..."
"Scott, would I kid you about this?!"
"Damn-it!"
"Get Keith up. We are having a meeting."
"Damn-it Kyle. I thought you were supposed to protect us!" Jesse says jumping off the bed, and heading towards the door.
"Jesse, go to the Kitchen. Scott, you too."
Kyle slumps down the stairs, his mood level lowering a bit, by every step he takes. He walks into the kitchen, stopping at the refrigerator to pour himself a glass of wine. He carries the goblet to the ornate dining table, placing it on the table next to the head chair.
"So, apparently while Ali and I were away, Joey was taken. I'll see if we have anything on the video cams. Computers, bring up the records from cams one and three, place a grid over the images."
The video plays out over the screen, mounted over the table. A boy moves toward the front door, his eyes moving to the corner of the door.
"Pause." He says to stop the footage. "Zoom in on the sector A10" The pixilated image clears up, showing an eye. A purple eye, lightly speckled with orange. "Damn."
"What is it?" Ali asks.
"Yeah, what the hell is it?" Jesse asks.
"It's Maezon's son. The eye colouring is a side effect of the Sperlonium serum. And now we know who took Joey."
"God Kyle, this is my brother we're talking about. But why would Maezon want Joey?" Jesse rampages.
"I know why. I should have told you."
"What is it? Why Kyle?!"
"Yes, remember when I took you and Joey to Scylan to meet my parents?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Jesse, My parents needed a test subject, one to test the serum like Sperlonium on. And the other to be a control. You were the one they tested it on. They must have mistaken Joey for you."
"KYLE! Why didn't you tell me?"
"My parents made me sign a contract. I wanted to, but..."
"SO WHAT?! YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME, THE DAY YOU RESCUED JOEY AND me!
"JESSE!" Kyle yells, tipping the large wooden chair back. "What else did I tell you and Joey?"
"That you loved us I don't remember what else." Jesse asks, worriedly.
"I ALSO told you that I would ALWAYS be here for you. AND that I would do anything to protect you two. And that is what I intend to do." Kyle says, storming off to the balcony, with his goblet in hand.
He leans over the granite railing, and sips from the goblet. Soft foot steps from behind him, turn his attention. Ali walks up to Kyle's side, and leans back against the rail.
"Why must you be so cross with the boy?" Ali asks.
"For he does not understand that I care the world about his brother and him. He will not realise the simple fact that I would do anything for him." Kyle returns.
"If he does not understand, then why do you not show him? Show Jesse that you care for him, if nothing else comfort him."
"That I shall do, Alister. That I shall do."
Kyle walks back into the kitchen, and sits back down in his seat.
"Computer, dial up Ben." Kyle says.
"Hello?" A voice booms, over the speakers, as an image appears on the screen.
"Charlie?" Kyle says to the cute brown haired boy, who is aged twelve years. He wears a white A-shirt, and has his hair messily parted. "Cutie? Can you get Ben for me?"
"Yeah, I'll be right back." The boy walks away from the screen, and on comes Ben with another beautiful blonde boy next to him.
"So, who is this addition to your team?"
"Ah, Master Corona. This would be Blake. Cute isn't he?" Ben asks.
"Yes, but there is another matter at hand. I need your assistance."
"What would you require?"
"You do work in the Maezon building, correct?"
"Yes, I do. But you know I just assist my mother, right?"
"Yes, who is doing undercover work...?"
"Yeah, where are you going with this?"
"Listen. Maezon's son has taken Joey. And I need to find out where they are keeping him."
"But how would Maezon have gotten Joey. Captain Corona?"
"Her son along with a team, snuck into our facilities. And mistook Joey, for Jesse."
"I see. I shall see what I can do."
"Oh, and one more favour, possibly Ben?"
"Yes, what do you need?"
"Since our location has been discovered, could we stay with you and your team? If you have room...that is."
"Oh, I think we could arrange something....as long as you don't take my Blakey boy here." Ben says, leaning into give Blake a peck on the cheek. Blake obviously blushes, and pulls in close to Ben.
"Thanks Ben. Can you come over with the van tomorrow? All we have are the bikes, and we've got stuff to move."
"A sure thing. Good night."
"Good night."
Kyle sits down, taking a slow swig of wine. An uncomfortable silence falls over the room, Kyle stands, making his way over to the chair where Jesse sits. He places a hand on the boy's shoulder, squeezing it a bit.
"All right, you all heard the plan. Go pack a few of your things, limit yourself to a couple medium pacs. Jesse, come with me. I hope you all will forgive me, now please get some sleep after you pack." Kyle says, then picking Jesse up in his arms. "Oh, Scott I will be up to see you in a bit."
Kyle leaves Jesse in his room, telling him to wait till he got back from Scott's room. Kyle enters his boyfriend's room, Scott lay on the bed, wearing nothing save the silken boxers covering his jewels. Kyle sits on the edge of the bed, waiting for Scott's approval to move in.
"What is it Kyle?" Scott says, not moving from his position.
"I just wanted to talk with you. That's all." Kyle returns.
"There is nothing that I want to talk to you about."
"Scott, stop trying to deny it. You know, no, I KNOW, that you can't live without Joey."
"I'm not denying ANYTHING Kyle. I'm doing what I usually do, sitting, waiting, and hoping that this is all some sort of joke. But apparently it isn't. Hell, Kyle, for all I know, Joey could be dead right now. And that scares me more than anything else in the world. Not that you care."
"OKAY, FINE. NOW IT'S YOUR TURN SCOTT. WHY DID I RESCUE YOU?"
"`Cause you cared about me, and my health..."
"That's right Scott. Because I cared, because I still do care. And I am going to need all the help I can get, during this farfetched plan to rescue Joey. That is if Ben finds where they are keeping him...."
"Thank you, Kyle. I love you, I'm just frustrated. If I hadn't left with Keith, and I would have been able....."
"Scott, what is done is done. But you can change your future, do your best and we will get Joey back. Good night, I will be with Jesse. And I suggest you go retrieve Keith from the sofa in the living room."
"Good night, Kyle. Sleep well."
Kyle returns to Jesse and Joey's room. Jesse lay on his double bed, and Kyle slides in behind him. He holds the boy around the waist, gently rubbing his little tummy. Kyle kisses Jesse's head, and smells the boy's hair, smelling of sweet and ripe watermelon.
"Jesse, I am sorry for what I have done. I know I should have told you, and I feel horrible for keeping from you these many years. But, I promise you this, I WILL get your brother back safely." Kyle whispers into Jesse's delicate and perfect ear.
Kyle moves his hands up Jesse's chest, reaching his petite nipples, gliding his hand gently across them, causing them to stiffen a bit. Working his way back down, he meets the top of the boy's white briefs. Lightly he lifts the elastic band up, and slides his hand even more to reach for Jesse's lovely little package. The little member in Kyle's hand, hardening to it's full three and one half inches. He lifts Jesse into his lap, slowly lowering the thin cotton covering that resides on Jesse's pelvic region. Kyle softly strokes the boy, lowering his hand every so often to his tender nuggets. He turns Jesse around, and positioning him so his own swelling member rests between Jesse's soft cheeks.
"No, Jesse. I'm sorry. I shouldn't. Please.....forgive me." Kyle says, kissing Jesse's brow.
"Kyle, I love you it's okay. I don't mind, really. I...like it." Jesse concedes.
"I love you too, Jesse. But I, I don't feel right doing it with you. And with Joey gone.....Jesse, pack up some of your things, and pack a couple bags for Joey. Take what you want, I will help you tomorrow morning. I'll be in later, good night, my little one."
"Good...night, Kyle." Jesse says, he walks over to the couch, where Joey had previous been laying with Scott. He picks up Joey's well-loved, brown teddy bear, holding it close to his sweet little heart. He stands, naked and holding his brother's bear, whispering to it:
"Joey, I'm sorry. I'm sooo sorry, I should have been here with you. Holding you and taking care of you. Kyle said, he's gonna get you back. And I'm gonna help him. I love you, Joey. Where ever you are...."
To be continued....
I hope you liked the chapter. Though I know it is short, I have put time into the sentiment of the chapter. I would like to hear any and all comments, good or bad. If I never get any constructive criticism, how can I know what things I need to work on? As before said, all comment are welcome at Jester628@aol.com. And in the mean time, go out and show those who you love, that you love them. What is the use in loving, if they are never to know?
"`... a voice here inside my head softly says: Why don't you kiss her? Why don't tell her? Why don't you let her see the feelings that you hide. She'll never know, if you never show the way you fell inside.'" ~quote, Jesse McCartney, "Why Don't You Kiss Her?"
Thank you, and good night. The Jester.
