This is the second part of the story of Lisa and Lori Beth. Thank you to all of you who have read the story and especially to those who have responded. I appreciate the feedback. Ya know, it's funny. These stories are great. In fact, I met the love of my life because of a nifty story...but that's another story.
Before you go on, you should keep the common disclaimer in mind. The following story contains material of a nontraditional sort. However, if you're interested in some lovely ladies falling in love, read on!
Now, the last time we saw our ladies, they were headed out on their first date.
Lisa casually scurried around the car, got inside, and started it up. She closed her door, reached for her seatbelt and said, "Safety first, sweetheart."
"Of course. So, we're going to Blondie's right?" Lori Beth asked, reaching for the belt.
"Yes ma'am. So, how did today go for you," Lisa asked as she drove away from the house.
Lisa sighed and answered with a smile, "Well, I got lost again but I found my way. There are usually nice people to show me around."
Smiling, Lisa patted Lori Beth's knee and exclaimed, "Well, that's a great attitude!"
"Gee, thanks, Mom," Lori Beth teased with a smirk.
"Oh, you little smart ass. You're going to pay for that one," Lisa said with a smirk!
"You think so? I don't know anyone who is woman enough to be ready for that challenge," Lori Beth retorted, feeling rather confident.
"We'll see," said Lisa, reaching over and poking Lori Beth in the side.
This evoked a scream from Lori Beth and she surrendered, "Ok, you got it. I guess I had that coming."
With a smirk and a wink, Lisa said, "Yes, you did...and if you're not careful, much more."
"Is that a promise or a threat?"
Lisa didn't take her eyes from the road one bit, but did manage to snap back with, "It could be both, depending on your reactions."
They both chuckled and got quiet. There was quite a bit of romantic and sensual tension between the two. It's strange...just yesterday Lisa was content to live alone, throw herself into her job, constantly work, and never pay attention to finding someone. Now, all of a sudden, she finds herself completely attracted to this brand new woman. She was taken from her thoughts by a sudden red light and the squeal of the tires. A huge SUV almost took off the front end of the car as it sped through the intersection and Lisa slammed on the brakes.
Instinctively, Lisa put her arm in front of Lori Beth to keep her away from the windshield.
"Holy shit," exclaimed Lori Beth.
"Oh my God, are you okay?"
Breathing heavily but shaken, both girls were okay. The light turned green and they continued on to the restaurant, just beyond the light. Lisa parked the car and hopped out hurriedly. She scooted to Lori Beth's door quickly and opened it. Lori Beth got out slowly, still breathing heavily, although possibly for a different reason. Lisa got very close and put both hands on her waist. In a hushed tone, she asked her date if she was sure that she was okay.
Lori Beth breathed heavily and said in a whisper that she was fine, just nervous. Lisa put her arms around her and hugged her. She whispered that everything was going to be fine and held her for a brief moment. Lisa released the embrace and stepped back. She smiled and said in a sweet voice, "Shall we?"
Lori Beth felt better and smiled, "We shall," she replied.
The ladies hid whatever discomfort, anxiety, and nervousness they were feeling and walked toward the restaurant. The doorman welcomed them in and they walked to the host's station. They were greeted again and Lisa said, "Parker for two, on the terrace." The host smiled and said, "Of course, Ms. Parker. Right this way, please."
The ladies were then escorted to the terrace and seated under the stars.
They were told, "Someone will be with you in a moment, ladies."
"Thank you," piped Lisa. The host then left the terrace and the ladies were alone again.
With sparkling eyes, Lori Beth said, "How did you EVER get the terrace? This is the hottest place in town."
Lisa smirked and said, "I have my ways. I didn't know you'd enjoy the terrace so much."
Giggling a bit, driving Lisa crazy, "Well, there's a lot of stuff you don't know about that I would enjoy."
There must have been a permanent blush on the ladies' cheeks. What fun this is turning out to be!
Just then, the waitress arrived on the terrace. "Good evening Ladies. I'm Theresa and I'll be your waitress for the evening. Welcome to Blondie's. Are you ready to order your drinks yet?"
Looking at each other, the ladies kind of shrugged and Lori Beth took the initiative to say, "We'd like a few minutes to discuss this."
Smiling, Theresa said, "Very well, when you are ready for me, push this button," placing a small box on the table. This is wirelessly connected to my beeper. It allows the diners on the terrace an intimate level of privacy. Happy choosing," Theresa said and walked away into the restaurant.
Lori Beth spoke up, "So, are we drinking tonight? Or, will this be a straight evening?"
"Well, we can drink if you're up for it but there's nothing straight about this evening and you know it," Lisa smiled and remarked.
Coyly, Lori Beth said, "Does this mean you're back on the team?"
Lisa replied, "Well, I'm out with a beautiful woman in the most romantic place in the city. I'm not sure if I'm ready to say that I'm back in the game but I'm willing to play ball with one particular person. I like you."
"Well, I like you too. I'm glad we're out together. So, how about the drinks? What are you in the mood for?"
"I'd like some wine...white wine. How about you," Lisa inquired?
"Ya know, I'm in the mood for some sangrilla," Lori Beth replied.
"So, what about dinner? Care to give it all to the waitress in one shot," Lisa asked?
"Sure, sounds like a plan to me. I'm thinking the roasted chicken looks good."
"Very nice. I'd like to go with the pot roast...so it looks like we're ready to push the button. Would you like to do the honors," Lisa asked?
Lori Beth remarked, "No, you should do it as a symbol of your ability to push people's buttons."
They giggled. "For lack of a better argument, I'll do it," Lisa said, and pushed the button.
In a few seconds, Theresa appeared on the terrace with her pen and book and said with a smile, "Have you made your choices?
"Yes, we have," Lisa said. "I'll have a glass of white wine and the roasted chicken...and for you dear?"
"I'll have the sangrilla with the roast beef, thank you."
Theresa said, "I'll be back in a few minutes with your drinks. Thank you, ladies," and she was gone again.
Looking up, Lori Beth and Lisa watched the sky. With the way the restaurant was situated, the sky was prettier looking away from the restaurant.
Lori Beth took the initiative and said, "Ya know, we could see the sky better if we sat with our backs to the restaurant, if you can keep your hands where they belong."
Both ladies were standing up to move already when Lisa shot back, "I know exactly where my hands belong." They blushed and sat down next to each other to watch the sky while they waited. "Confident, aren't you," Lori Beth inquired?
Intentionally pausing for a moment, causing Lori Beth to look into her eyes, Lisa said, "Very," and took Lori Beth's hand in hers. Leaning into each other's eyes, their soft lips met for a warm embrace. The kiss was broken and each woman opened her eyes and smiled. They leaned into each other and shared their warmth under the beautifully clear sky. Sitting side-by-side, holding hands under the stars, Lori Beth said, "Are you always that confident?"
Squeezing Lori Beth's hand in her own, Lisa said, "Only when I'm really sure."
A slight giggle from Lori Beth was soon hushed by her own voice. "I just love the terrace, especially on warm spring evenings."
The ladies again looked into each other's eyes and leaned into a warm soft embrace...full lips on full lips. The soft steps of Theresa and the thud of her sudden stop interrupted the sweet moment when she realized what she was interrupting. Her embarrassment was adorable and the girls looked toward the thud of Theresa's sudden stop. They saw their blushing cheeks and nearly stunned stare and smiled at each other. Regaining her composure, Theresa began walking around the table and put her tray down.
"Ladies, your drinks. Miss, here is your white wine and this is your sangrilla, ma'am. Your meals will be out as soon as possible," Theresa said with a smirk, "although you seem to be quite capable of entertaining yourselves while you wait."
This elicited a series of giggles from Lori Beth and Lisa...and Theresa broke down and laughed as well. "If you need anything while you wait, you have my button, and I'm sure you can figure out how to push it."
With that, Theresa quickly left the outdoor haven and the ladies were alone again. Lisa quickly leaned over to Lori Beth's ear and whispered, "It's not her button I want to push."
Lori Beth giggled her adorable little giggle and Lisa put her arm around her shoulders and they curled up close to each other. Lori Beth could no longer resist the question that had been burning at her since Lisa asked her out. She could make plenty of speculations about the answer...but she HAD to ask. The following dialogue happened:
LB: Not to shatter the beautiful moment we're having here, but I need to know something.
Taking Lori Beth's hand in hers, Lisa said:
L: Ok, go for it.
LB: Well, why'd you take an interest in me? I mean, you seem to be doing just fine without any help. Career, probably 5 or 6 cats.
Fiddling with her fingers on Lori Beth's and finally settling on an interlocked grip and gave Lori Beth one stroke down her upper arm and back to her shoulders...
L: Well, I took an interest in you...the same interest I take in any new person on campus. I know how the students can be. The elevated interest, you, this interest (stroking her fingers) came at the bar.
LB: How? We didn't even get to talk that much.
L: I don't want to get too heavy on our first time out...but since you're asking...when you said you thought I was a member of the team, I was quite surprised, as I thought I was hiding it pretty well. I played it cool though, as I knew I needed to run off to my meeting. I knew I had to talk to you again...so I kind of talked you into dinner.
LB: Well, yeah, you did talk me into it. But, I didn't do anything profound...I was just there.
L: Exactly, and you're the first person who's known about this since college...so you were an easy target, and cute to go along with it!
LB: Oh, so it was more like opportunity than me?! (sarcastically)
Poking her stomach with one of her interlocked fingers, she said:
L: No silly, it wasn't like that. It's just that you made me realize things and it was good to feel that way again.
LB: Ok, listen, if we're going to get anywhere tonight, or any other night (her head was still on her shoulder) you're going to have to stop talking in code. Why don't you simply say what it is that you're trying so hard to avoid?
L: You're so persistent when you don't hear what you want.
LB: Come on now...this isn't that hard...I know you can tell me.
L: Alright, alright...seeing you and having you say you thought I was on the team...having you pinpoint my feelings without me having to say them...well, it made me feel like we had a connection...one of those rare on-the-spot connections that some people wait their whole lives for...I couldn't pass up the chance of finding out.
LB: See? Was that so bad?
L: Kind of...I'm not used to bearing my soul on the first date.
LB: Honey, that's something you're going to have to get used to.
L: What? Bearing my soul on the first date?
LB: No, just bearing your soul in general...I won't accept anything less.
L: Well, I'd hate to fail your class.
LB: I hope you can handle the workload; it's kind of intense.
L: Yeah, well, so are you. I'm doing just fine so far.
LB: So, Miss Confidence, what's your story? Parents, kids, cats?
L: Oh no, the dreaded Lisa story. And I have to go soul deep?
LB: Yep, I'll accept nothing less.
L: Well, since you asked for it. I have no problem sharing my long, dull history.
LB: Well good, go for it.
L: Alright, just remember, you asked for it. I'm 26 and I have 3 cats. I've been working at this school for three years and I just got tenure. I teach English, and love it. Up until I met you, I hadn't been seeing anyone, and was happy with that. I sort of just clothed myself in my work, being the best teacher I can.
LB: What's the hardest part of teaching for you?
L: The testing sucks. I could do so much more with my students if I weren't forced to groom them to pass the state exams. However, thanks to the No Child Left Behind laws, we're stuck with it.
LB: You must be good at grooming them for the exams if you got tenure.
L: I have a 100% passing rate for the state exam...and 50% of my students scored higher than 90.
LB: Wow! That's impressive. You are good.
L: Well, I try. (winks)
LB: So, why did you become a teacher?
L: I got into teaching because of my past. I had really great relationships with my teachers in high school. I spent my free periods with one awesome teacher and I had such a crush on her. Eventually, she got sick of signing my daily pass twice a day so she gave me a permanent pass.
LB: Oh, one of those, huh? Sucking up to the teacher.
L: No, I wasn't sucking up. She was my first love. She helped me understand what was going on inside my head and heart. She was gay too and just made me feel so comfortable with myself.
LB: Wait, she was your first love? That's a bit illegal.
L: No, not like that. Nothing happened between us. She was too good for that. Besides, I wouldn't have known what to do anyway. I met her wife and they just looked so cute together. Every summer, they went to the coast together. When school started again in the fall, she always had a little shell for me...inside; there was a slip of paper with a little gem of wisdom on it. I kept them and always knew that deep down in my heart I wanted to be just like her.
LB: She sounds wonderful. What part of her did you want to be just like?
L: I wanted to help people understand who they are, figure out how to deal with it, not be afraid to grow up.
LB: So, what became of your teacher? (still holding hands and stroking her fingers)
L: She still lives with her wife in the same house they lived in when I was a kid. Even now, they make their trip to the coast every year.
LB: Wow, talk about a testament of true love.
L: I know...and some people wait their whole lives to find that.
LB: It's incredible to know that women actually do find each other in this world. I've only had one real relationship in my time and it was fantastic...but it didn't hold on forever.
L: What happened?
LB: I couldn't take it anymore...the fighting, the constant arguing, and she seemed like she always did the opposite of what she knew I would like. It drove me insane and after a time, I just couldn't take it.
L: Is that the Jess you mentioned before?
LB: Yeah, but let's not talk about her. This is our night. By the way, I was asking the questions here. Now, please go on.
L: Well, my parents and my favorite teacher still live about an hour from here. You might say I settled close to home.
LB: Well, as least you settled...and you're ready for it.
L: You are too. You just need a support network. It takes time. Believe me though, you're doing fine.
LB: Well, I'm glad you think so. I know who I am and I know what I want...but it's hard to find.
L: Yeah, tell me about it.
Theresa walked in and wasn't startled at seeing the two ladies holding each other and looking up at the sky. She stood in front of them and said, "Ladies, your meals are ready. There you are...can I get you anything else?"
"No, thank you," Lori Beth and Lisa said at the same time. All three ladies chuckled and Theresa excused herself.
L: Well, as much as I'd like to hold you like this all night, dinner's getting cold. Although, I do enjoy it.
LB: Yeah, well, it's nice to be held. Maybe we can get back to it.
They smiled and moved back to the table. Lori Beth sat with her hands in her lap silently praying. Lisa noticed the silence and the way Lori Beth had her head down. She smiled and waited respectfully while she prayed. When she finished, they started eating their dinner. Amid chewing, the ladies continued talking.
L: I didn't know you were religious.
LB: Oh yes, ever since I was a kid. My parents raised all of us in church.
L: Interesting...which religion are you?
LB: I'm Catholic, but so many people equate that with being non-Christian. I don't like that.
L: So, you believe in God? A God you can't prove exists?
LB: Well, I can't see the wind, but I feel its effects. I see it blow snow, rain, and leaves around. I can't produce an object and say, there, that's God. But I can feel it. I can't really explain it. It's a feeling. I know in my heart that God exists and that s/he plays a part in my life. S/He did, after all, bring me to you.
They smiled at each other and Lori Beth winked.
L: Funny, and I didn't think he knew I existed.
LB: Oh, he knows...there's a tracking beacon on you at all times.
L: Does this beacon have crosshairs on it?
LB: Not that I know of...but next time we get together for lunch, I'll ask.
They giggled again and Lisa went on:
L: How are your folks?
LB: They're good. I was born late in life so they're older. They can handle day-to-day life well but when big projects come up, I help them out.
L: Do they know you? I mean, the real you?
LB: You mean, do they know I'm gay?
L: Yeah, do they know?
LB: Yes, they know. (sighs) They're not happy about it at all, but they didn't disown me.
L: Well, that's good. When did you come out?
LB: When they walked in on me making out with my best friend. I had to sit them down and fill them in.
L: Must've been fun...
LB: By the time I finished kissing my dear goodnight, my folks realized I was serious. I did a lot of crying because I knew at some level I had disappointed them. But they said they loved me and wanted what was best for me. That was all they said. I ran to my room, called my friend and told her my folks were cool with it. She'd come out to her folks long before and they didn't like it, but they didn't throw her out either.
L: Well, it sounds like you've had to put up with very little flack about this...how long did you and your friend stay together?
LB: Until about six months ago.
Lisa's jaw dropped and she put her fork down.
L: Your first gay relationship lasted for that long?
Lori Beth looked down and back up with a smile.
LB: Yeah, it did. And, it was great, but I have to move on.
L: True. To what are you moving on?
Lori Beth touched her calf with her foot and said:
LB: That remains to be seen.
L: I see, but what about your first impression?
LB: I have a pretty good impression so far...just not sure about the outcome.
L: In time, I'm sure you'll get a better picture of the outcome.
Theresa walked in and stood in front of the ladies. "Ladies, is everything okay?"
L: It's wonderful, thank you.
T: Wonderful, can I get you anything else?
Lori Beth took Lisa's hand and said, "We're doing just fine, thanks."
T: That's even better. However, one of the features of the terrace is extended privacy. At this point, I won't return with the check until you depress the button on the transmitter. This affords our customers a higher level of privacy.
L: Thank you, Theresa.
T: Enjoy your meals.
Still holding Lisa's hands, Lori Beth said, "I'm glad she's not coming back. We could have some fun with this."
L: Yeah? What did you have in mind?
LB: Well, we could always climb down the trellis and disappear into the night.
L: Sorry, I left my climbing ropes in my other purse.
LB: Well, maybe we could settle for this...
Lori Beth put her hand on Lisa's shoulder and pulled her close for a soft sweet kiss. Their lips met and the warmth shared between them was enough to make them want to hold each other all night, whether Theresa was coming back or not.
The kiss was broken and Lori Beth reached over to Lisa's smiling face with both hands. She placed her soft hands on her delicate cheeks. "You're so beautiful," Lisa said. She drew her closer and kissed Lori Beth's delicate lips. She felt the tip of Lori Beth's tongue caress her lips...the point of no return for her...the most personal touch one can have.
Lisa's mouth opened and Lori Beth's delicately soft tongue entered her mouth. It's introduction awakened Lisa to feelings she'd been ignoring or pushing away since Jess and her split. The soft gentle explorations grew into a passionate discovery of each other's mouths. These beautiful accomplished women couldn't keep their hands off each other...soft lips caressed soft lips and the full-on pressure they were exerting on each other just increased the magnetism between them. Their hands were exploring each other's torsos and Lori Beth stopped abruptly, confusing Lisa, who was more than willing to continue with all this fun.
Lisa said, "What, what's the matter?"
With a troubled look, Lori Beth answered, "If I don't stop, I won't be able to and this isn't the place to lose control."
Grinning from ear to ear, Lisa said, "Oh, so you're all hot and bothered, huh? You like it when we kiss?" She leaned into Lori Beth's lips for the softest peck..."Mm, I sure do, and you just love to drive me crazy. You do a fine job, by the way."
Lisa replied, "I take my work very seriously."
"Oh, I know...and I'm grateful. Before I get almost out of control again, I need to visit the ladies room. Would you excuse me," Lori Beth asked?
"Of course." As Lori Beth stood to leave, Lisa arose and waited for her to exit before sitting again. Her mind was reeling from the passion and flirting and all these new feelings she was having...feelings she hadn't had in quite some time. As was her style, she had to think of something to lighten the moment. She decided to stand beside the doorway of the terrace until Lori Beth came back. Then, she'd make her move. A few minutes passed and Lisa was still standing beside the door. Soon, she heard Lori Beth's footsteps coming from inside...almost immediately she heard Lori Beth's voice say, "Hey, Lisa, how about a..." and Lisa popped up behind her and put her arms around her waist. She dipped her head to Lori Beth's neck and kissed her smooth skin with her delicate lips.
"Guess who," she asked as she broke the kiss and breathed in the sweet smell of her perfume.
"My guess is, it's a beautiful woman with a gorgeous smile," said Lori Beth.
Lisa smiled and turned Lori Beth around to face her. "Not quite," Lisa responded. She drew Lori Beth in for a deep passionate kiss and they melted into each other's arms like hot wax from a candle.
"Mm," said Lori Beth. "How about that walk in the park?
Lisa, seizing the moment, said, "Sounds good to me...I'll have to behave myself, which is becoming increasingly difficult in a private setting...though I do so enjoy kissing you."
"Yeah, well, the feeling's mutual. How about that walk," asked Lori Beth?
Lisa said, "Just let me get the check and we'll be on our way."
Lori Beth chuckled, "Umm, that's been taken care of. Don't worry about it."
Lisa giggled and wrapped her arms around Lisa's waist. "I guess I owe you one then."
"Yeah, well, I intend to collect in full," Lori Beth said.
"Sweet!"
Lori Beth took Lisa's hand and they walked out of the restaurant. Theresa smiled and bid them good evening as they left.
"The park is this way," Lori Beth said. "Shall we?"
"Certainly," and they were off.
Being a Friday night, the streets were packed with people. Right in front of Lisa and Lori Beth, there was another couple, just young kids. Lisa and Lori Beth hadn't noticed them as they were conversing privately, that is until Lisa began laughing at something Lori Beth said. The kids stopped and turned around...in fact, if Lori Beth hadn't looked up, they might have run right into them. The young lady, obviously shocked exclaimed, "Miss Parker? Is that you?"
Finishing her laugh, Lisa realized who was speaking and straightened up. "Well, hello Kim and Todd...you guys are out kind of late for a Friday."
Laughing, Todd said, "Are you kidding Miss Parker? We'll be out and about long after you two are sound asleep."
Smiling, Lisa said, "Well, enjoy yourselves guys...don't get into too much trouble."
"You either, Miss Parker," said Todd.
Lisa kept her cool, even though she knew she just came out to some students. Lori Beth asked, "Do you mind seeing your students on the weekend? And while you're on a date?"
Chuckling, Lisa said, "Yeah, I could tell your comfort level was dropping rapidly. I'm sorry that happened. It was kind of weird."
Lori Beth said, "Well, it was sort of weird. I mean, not to be with you, but to have students around. I don't hide about it, but I don't really want to have my sexuality taped to my forehead."
Lisa encouraged her. "I know Todd and Kim. They're good students, and not to be too casual about it, they have their own lives. They don't care about teachers enough to make a big deal of anything."
Lori Beth replied, "Well, I'm afraid I'm going to have to let go of your hand."
Confused, Lisa stopped and looked right into Lori Beth's eyes with an almost wounded stare and said, "Why? Can't you see? People are ok with it."
With a cocky smile, Lori Beth replied, "Well, good. So am I. But that doesn't change the fact that I have to tie my shoe." Lori Beth laughed as she let go of Lisa's hand and knelt to tie her shoe. Lisa laughed at her sarcasm and about the fact that Lori Beth had fooled her again. Standing there near the streetlight, Lisa just looked around at all the people walking by.
Lori Beth finished her shoe and stood up quickly. She put both hands around Lisa's waist and kissed her passionately. She stepped into the embrace and Lisa stepped backwards, leaning against the streetlight. Lori Beth's hands roamed up Lisa's back while their soft tongues explored each other's mouths. Lori Beth moved her hands slowly down Lisa's back and gripped her hips. When Lori Beth retreated from her sudden assault on Lisa, they both gasped for air and breathed heavily into each other's embrace.
Lori Beth asked, "Are you still okay with displaying affection?"
Sighing, Lisa said, "Yes, but if I tear your clothes off here, we'll both get arrested."
Pulling out of the embrace and looking around, they noticed a group of people staring at them. Some had gaping mouths, some were wide-eyed with shock and still others smiled warmly at the budding romance occurring right in front of them. They both started laughing and Lisa took Lori Beth's hand in hers and they began walking away, back toward the restaurant.
Lisa opened the door for Lori Beth and hopped in the car. She turned on the radio and took a deep breath. Turning to face each other, Lisa said, "So, what did you think about dinner?"
"Dinner was great. The food was excellent, the company better," Lori Beth said.
Lisa leaned over toward Lori Beth and their lips met in a sweet delicate kiss. The affections between them are so gentle and incredibly passionate at the same time.
"Lisa," said Lori Beth, "How about we go back to my house?"
"Sounds good to me," said Lisa.
"We could watch a movie," Lori Beth said with a wink.
Lisa smiled, started the car, and they were off. The light that caught them off guard a few hours before was green when they approached, thank goodness. Lisa drove up to Lori Beth's house and parked the car. She hopped out to get Lori Beth's door but she beat her to the punch. She got around the car to find Lori Beth shutting the car door.
"I was going to get that, ya know."
Lori Beth replied, "Of course you were...but I can open a door now and then."
"Of course. So, what are these gorgeous flowers along the front of your house?"
Lori Beth said, "These are my wisterias. Aren't they gorgeous?"
"Very nice."
Lori Beth unlocked the door and held it open for Lisa. They went in and Lori Beth closed the door. Click!
I hope you've enjoyed Lisa and Lori Beth's first date. Of course, it's not over yet. Would you like to know what happens next? Tell me. ~Becca Lynn
