Kelly turned towards the garden gate and, with a wave over her shoulder, said. "Good luck darlin'. I hope you find someone you really love." "You too babe," Dan called after her, thinking to himself, `I already have'.
He launched up the steps to his flat 2 at a time and burst into the hall, shouting for Adam. Adam appeared at the bedroom door, red eyed. "Nearly finished packing," he announced in a shaky voice. "Why the fuck are you packing?" demanded Dan. "I saw you and Kelly all lovey dovey in the gardens. She wants to move in straight away, doesn't she? I'll be out in 15 minutes," Adam blurted out, trying desperately to hold back the tears and preserve a little dignity. Dan immediately saw how the hug and quiet chat with his now ex-girlfriend could have been misinterpreted from a distance.
"We were breaking up...for good," he explained quietly. "So now I can be your full time, permanent Master.....and boyfriend."
It took a few before the unbelievably good news registered in Adam's brain and he flung himself into Dan's arms, saying `I love you' over and over until Dan stopped him with a long kiss and said, "time to show me how grateful you are boy", pushing him gently to his knees.
