John finds out that Ken is still in hospital and he expected to be released next week and hence decides to go and visit Ken and take Joe with him. As soon as Joe hears about this he emails several of his old mates hoping they can meet up and he also want to go to his old school as they have asked him to stop bye next time he is in town. John said we will leave after lunch Thursday then you can go to the school Friday morning and we will both go to the hospital in the afternoon. While you are at the school I will be meeting up with Brent, once you are clear of the school come on over to the company offices and I meet you there.

John & Joe leave as planned and arrive around supper time at John's regular motel and book in and go and get there supper. Joe says he wants to buy a small digital camera something that will fit into my pocket and get card reader for his computer so perhaps we can do that Saturday morning and then I'm going to meet a couple of my mates at the Mall around midday and we will no doubt have some lunch together.

Sounds good and works well for me so lets plan on meetings up at the company office and we will take it from there.

After good nights sleep; we both got showered and dressed in our town clothes and it sure felt funny not wearing boots. We headed for some breakfast, then Dad dropped me off at my old school and he went onto the company's office.

Brent asked where is Joe. I was hoping to see him, well after his visit to his old school he will then come here to meet up with me.

Joe goes straight to the school office and the principle is there he takes a double look and says sorry Joe didn't recognize you at first you have change in appearance anyway come on into my office please. Tell me how are you making out with the distant learning arrangement and how many hours a day are you doing, quiet well as my marks have gone up and that makes me happy.

The principle says I'm very interested in how you are finding life in a logging camp. Yes it is very different there are about ten families some with kids plus a great number of the crew who live in the bunkhouses. I live with my Dad and we have a regular home. Many of the wives also work for the company doing house keeping of the bunkhouses and we also have daily house keeping. Everyone is so friendly and helpful it is really one large family. So what about working during your school holidays, there are four of us working it all depends on your age and providing you are over 15 yrs you start work in the mechanics' shop where you learn various jobs, some of the jobs are dirty however you don't worry about that.

You are also encouraged to get your First Aid ticket as you never know when you might see someone get badly hurt. The change from living in town to living in a remote area is the best thing that has ever happened to me and despite being remote we have TV, Internet, Phone just the same as in town. The reason I'm in town is Dad and I are going to visit one of the truck drivers who is in hospital when he got hurt a week ago when his brakes failed.

Well Joe you will complete school at the end of this school year and I would like to invite you to give a short speech on how things have changed for you living in the bush. I would like you consider this and let me know your thoughts on this idea of mine. All I ask is you would give me an answer within a month. Just email me; here is my card with my email address. Thanks Joe for stopping bye so where are you going next. I'm heading for the company offices to meet up with my dad then we doing some shopping as I want to buy a digital camera for myself. I left my old school and headed to the offices.

The receptionist said I assume you Joe? Yes -- great come this way please Brent wants to see you. On entry to Brent's office Dad and Brent were having coffee; Mary is there any more coffee there as I'm sure Joe would like some, Mary ask what I would like in it and a few moments later she brought me a coffee and topped Dad's and Brent's.

So Joe your Dad tells me you would like to buy a pocket size camera and card reader yes that is correct. The company can help you out with that, you go to Staples and ask for Dennis and tell what you are looking for and you will get a discounted price, Oh thank you very much Brent and shake hands with Brent.

So John what is next on the agenda, we are both going to see Ken while he is in hospital to say hi to him- that's great I'm sure he will appreciate that please let me know how he is doing.

Just as we were leaving the office Brent said John what is the best time for you this evening 6:30 would be good or 7:00 pm -- lets make it 7:00 pm just in case I get delayed I'll give you a call and I assume you have your cell with you --Yes well till this evening.

Dad asks me if I wanted any lunch I said no fair enough so we headed for the hospital. On entry to Ken's room I go in first, Kens first words were hey DR come and give me a hug please but don't squeeze me to hard I've got a couple of broken ribs.

Thanks mate for helping me much appreciated, Hi John young Joe here did a good job you should be proud of him and I hope the crew all hugged him -- oh yes they did what was expected that's really great it makes so happy.

One of the Nurses comes into the room, she said I thought you had company; Ken said to her give this young guy a good pat on the back he was the one first on the job when I had my mishap. She looks at me and says well done and it is nice to see a young guy able to do the right thing there are not to many of you around.

As the Nurse leaves another lady comes in to Ken's room, Norine I want you to meet the young guy that helped me when I had my accident he is the one I have told you about. With that she comes and give me a big hug and says thank for what you did for my Ken, I don't know what I would have done if I had seen all that blood most likely passed out. Ken introduces John as his boss thanks so much for taking the time to see Ken and next time you are in town stop by the house and visit please. John thanks Norine we will both leave you now. We are going shopping so bye for now see you soon.

Well Joe I think we should now go to Staples and look at cameras, they had a big selection to choose from. One of the assistants asked if he could help; is your name Dennis? Sorry no that's our manager's name. I don't want to short change you but I was told to see Dennis -- no problem I will get him for you.

A few moments later Dennis comes along, are good I have been expecting you and says this assistant is very knowledgeable in the camera area so let go over there and you tell us what you are looking for. The manager says something out of earshot to the assistant and departs. We come to pay the bill and asked to sign the invoice. Joe starts to get his wallet out and is told it is on account nothing to pay, thank you gentlemen enjoy any problem come and see us, and here is my card.

We go back to the motel and both strip off and flop on the bed, Joe says Dad this business of getting thanked etc is becoming a little over whelming. I only did what was expected of me. Dad says I can understand your comments I think why this has occurred is the fact you are a Junior Employee and the first one as far as I can remember who has had a first aid ticket hence everyone wants to make a fuss of you -- don't get annoyed take it as a compliment.

However that is going to change because I will be insisting that all juniors get their First Aid tickets ahead of time or they cannot work during their vacations.

Those working for us now that don't have that ticket will been enrolled in the next course however Joe you have not heard this, it's between you and I -- understood -- no problems.

John asks how did you get on at school. Spent a fair bit of time with the school principle who wanted to know how I found the distant learning setup and how many hours a day I work on school work. I think I surprised him when I said I generally doing school work from about 6:45 am till midday they I said I feel my marks have come up quiet a bit working this way.

The principle sort of shook his head and said you so different to most students who have problems of getting up in the mornings. Then he asked me to make a short speech at graduation time, that is sort of nerve racking, I've been asked to give an answer within a month. Joe that is an honor to be invited to do something like that; may be it is says Joe but I cannot see myself all dressed up, I'm far more at ease dressed as we do in camp.

John says I`ve got some ideas that might help you if I may, sounds like you want me to do this dad, frankly I do. However that can wait till we get home but now I want inside me if you are willing. No problems Dad more than willing to oblige but you will have to service me as well -- great.

By the time we had good sex and had enjoyed each other, it was time to shower and freshen up and then met up with Brent for supper.

Since the restaurant was close bye we walked there and arrived just as Brent got there. We took a booth table at the far end which allowed us all to talk privately.

Our waiter was soon there with the drinks menu and asked what we would like, John said a Gin and Tonic tall, Brent said the same and what about you sir same again please.

We went through t he menu and there were some interesting items listed, so Brent said to me don't look at the price it's on the company I finished up choosing steak and lobster medium please, potatoes I think roasted and what dressing for your salad --I said make it a small salad with blue cheese dressing. John and Brent had similar.

So Joe, asks Brent; so how did your meeting at the school go, interesting but good. Joe tell Brent what you have been invited to do says John. I look at Dad basically I have been asked to give a speech at graduation time on way things have changed for me since moving to a logging camp -- oh that is a challenge I must say. I will be interested in hearing what you say.

So Joe did you find a suitable camera, yes thanks but I don't understand why it is on account and they wouldn't take any money. Brent smile and says it a gift from the company to say thanks for what you did to help Ken. You may not know but I heard all the radio conversations from the time you entered the mainline. You were clear and concise in all transmissions I couldn't have done better myself.

So tell me how did you find Ken, in good spirit and while were there his wife came in and we chatted for a short period and then left.

The rest of the evening was general talk; some of it was about work between Brent & John. We had a great meal Dad and left there after thanking Brent for a nice meal.

We walked back to the motel and saw there was a message, dad checked with the front desk and found it really was for Joe. The message to say sorry cannot make the mall meeting due to a soccer game that we both have to play in, Joe says bugger it.

Do not worry about it Joe, however after we have completed our shopping we can return earlier in the day than intended. So dad what shopping are you doing, well I want to have a look at a better cell phone and you anything special I need some more work socks for regular use. I would like to have a look in the motorcycle shop. What are you thinking about Joe, possibly get a pair of high lace-up DR boots with steel tools and insoles.

After good nights, sleep they dressed in there more conventual clothes, i.e. heavy weight jeans, boots and suitable shirt.

Joe got his boots and then got another pair of heavy weight jeans. Much to his surprise, he got his dads old cell phone. They are both on the family plan that means calls between them at home are free.

During the ride home, Joe was reading his camera manual and checking things out. They arrived home and get every thing unloaded, Joe said he was going to take a shower to freshen up, Dad said he was going to get his town clothes into the laundry lets have yours they might as well go in with mine.

Eventually Dad joins me in the shower and I give him a blowjob as a thank you for a great trip, dad gives me his protein and as I stand up, we hug and kiss passing cum back and forth. Dad repeats my actions and gives me a great blowjob, I feel much more relaxed now. Come on Joe lets have a rum & ginger, a quick dry off leaving our towels behind we head outside to enjoy the last of that days sunshine.

Eventually we go for supper and those there are asking did you see Ken how is he doing. Everyone present was told we both saw him and meet with his wife who should up in his hospital room just as we were leaving he says hi to everyone here and hopes to be back soon.

We had a nice supper of liver bacon and onions, mash spuds and peas, then some fruit and ice cream.

We both took a walk the long way around just to stretch our legs eventually getting home. Then another drink, this one Dad poured a real stiff one, by now it was dark but the stars were shinning very bright so grabbing quilted shirt we sat out side enjoying the quietness of the countryside. I said this is what I like you do not get this in town.

You know at times Mum and I would sit outside after dark to watch the stairs some times we would have pop between us. However, streetlights and such like it you always had some sort of light in the sky. We finish our drink dad asks would you like another please but not so strong.

That night I think we both slept well waking up about 7:30 am Sunday morning. We showered and had breakfast. Hey, Dad lets go riding, now your talking do you want to take some grub has a good idea while dad s arranging for something I go home and get our lunch buckets because they will fit in carrying box and bring them to Kia. We both go home and get dressed for riding, dad goes to the office, gets two radio's I return to the cookhouse, and collect our lunch buckets.

We head off out on a road I do not know but Dad is leading the way and virtually we find a real great spot so we stop and look for wild life. Then dad says let me give you my ideas for your speech.

Make a power point presentation Give the reason for your move to your new home, I think George has some photo's of you do not be embarrassed by them. Explain how good your Mum was to at all times.

Some words about the discussion your Mum and I had because she was worried about your health.

Your first trip to your new home, your meeting with Sam who gave you some insight to camp life.

Getting setup with the Distant Learning and how have faired. I buy you a dirt bike and we go riding together

You decided to get your First Aid ticket

Summer vacation work -- this last year there were four of us referred to as Juniors yes we got dirty but our showers are like those here and hence there is lots of space and we scrub each other back. We are supplied with two sets of overalls so at the end of the day we put our overalls into the heavy-duty washing machines, everyone in the shop put clean overall on every day

Following your summer work, you still get up early and have breakfast with your dad and then you hit the books at about 6:45 am and finish around midday sometime you go back to the books but generally, you have completed not later than 1:30 pm after which me time is my own. Generally, I go riding and some times do some fishing as we have some good trout in the river. When you head out mention about taking a radio

Then a little bit of video sound of your bikes engine showing your back going out as DR Joe collect some gear for the bush mechanic and you head out with your first radio call of DR Joe entering the mainline heading out.

Then tell them about the experiment of using a dispatch rider for small items that the bush mechanic who at one time used to be called the Donkey Doctor this name originates from the times of the steam donkeys used in logging operations.

Then finish up with the accident why it is important for everyone to have a first aid ticket. We have the recording of what was said on the radio that day so I can make a copy for you. In addition, we have photo at the accident scene. My video camera has the ability of recording slow so when that is shown it appears the truck is going much faster.

Joe says Dad you sure are keen to see me do this, yes Joe as in life you have to sell yourself and be proud at what you have achieved.

Joe thought about this and realized if he didn't do it he would be disappointed in the future so he Email the school principle to say yes and at the same time to ask if the video projector would be available as he would like to show some photographs. Joe also promised to provide well ahead a copy of his CD so that the principle could see what he intended to present.

Almost immediately Joe gets a reply from the school with some further information asking if I knew Sam Hicks as he is going to be invited to the school to receive his graduation certificate from the distant learning.

I had to check with Dad and asked if Sam Hicks is the Sam I know Dad said yes -- why do you want to know? Tell you shortly. I confirmed with the school I knew him, they came back and said if you want to include Sam in the CD please go ahead. Thanks Joe for getting back to us so promptly I look forward to hearing from you in the next little while.

I told Dad what was going on and said I'm going to see Sam right now, as soon as we meet up Sam asks what school did you go to in town? Townsville Secondary why well they have asked me to attend the graduation function there and I assume you have a similar invite -- yes I do and that is why I have come to see you. I explain what I have been asked to do and it would be nice to include you in the video are you game.

Sam says the biggest problem is I really don't have any town clothes as I hardly ever go and it would be a waste of money. I said don't worry we are going to break tradition by wearing our regular jeans, boots and a shirt. Now if you have to buy anything get a new pair of heavy weight jeans like you normally wear and you will have to polish your boots

That make me feel better, Sam's Dad just comes in and says Hi Joe how are things did you have a good trip to town, sure did thanks. Sam then tells his Dad what is going on and the graduation affair and no dressing up in fancy clothes.

Sam's Dad then says I'm a man who always keeps his word, congratulations on your school marks and I see your average in all subjects is well above the goal I set for you. So when we go to town you will come home with your dirt bike as promised. I know you were saving for this but the bike is your graduation gift from your Mum and me. However you will have to buy your riding gear and include good body armor.

Well with the assistance of John the video portion is made up and sound added many photos are inserted with further commentary. I run this video a number of time making minor adjustments. I then invited Sam and his folks to see it and pass on any comments. The only part not in the video is the reason for moving away from town as I had decided to explain that as an introduction.

I sent a copy of the video to the school principle and explain I would do an introduction verbally the reason for moving as an introduction. Also said I was breaking from tradition and would be wearing Jeans and a tee shirt same as we dress in camp.

A couple of days later I received an Email from the school that they enjoyed the CD and thought the breaking away from tradition in this case was relevant. I replied saying thanks for your comments and could I have Sam sitting next to me please as he is also part of the video -- answer came back no problems at all and were we willing to answer any questions related to the video. I said no problems and would check with Sam if he wished to answer any questions and advise you of his decision.

The day came when we all went to town, we booked in at the usual motel and took two double and one single room. John took the single so Sam and I shared.

Sam and I were sitting watching TV drinking some pop, there a knock at the door Sam goes to see who it is, Hi Dad come on in and he says you are both men now so where are your drinking glasses and his Dad produces a bottle of Scotch and pours a stiff shot in each one and one for himself, Sam senior (Jack) says Joe I want to thank you for being the cause of getting my sons up out of the bunk in the morning it has certainly paid off in Sam case and its made thing a lot better for my wife who now only has one breakfast sitting -- all Joe can is thanks.

Again there is a knock at the door and it is John who comes to do the same thing so a second round is poured. After this is round is consumed Jack says I better get back to my wife, she will wonder what has kept me so long. As Jack leaves he says you guys will need this after to-morrow night and we Dad's are taking you both out for dinner.

Well John gets up as well and leaves his bottle there saying have a great night guys.

Graduation time Joe and Sam meet as arranged in the Principles office, so you are Sam it's nice to meet you, have you always lived in camp do you have any brothers or sisters yes just one brother he is 2 years younger than myself and I see from the video you work your summer vacation, yes I have done so since I was15 yrs old. So your work is it always in the shop basically yes however this year I've been taught how to run one of the track loaders, it's not as easy as it looks you need a real steady hand and good concentration.

The principle gets word that everything is ready so we all head out for the auditorium. We are shown where to sit while the principle makes his introduction and the changes that are taking place tonight with combining the distant learning and that is because one of those student did all his school here until there were family problems when he moved to a logging camp to be with his father. You folk don't need me rambling on. So please let me introduce Joe Edwards.

Joe does his intro and then asks for the lights to be dimmed and the video is run. Once that was shown Joe introduces Sam Hicks as part of the video, he was the one sharpening a chain saw. Thank you folks for bearing with me, Joe goes to sit down but he is asked to remain standing with Sam.

The principle says if anyone has questions both Sam & Joe they will be available after there presentation for the Distant Learning. Someone we did not know then stood up and handed us our certificates in turn and congratulated us on the video asking if they could have a copy for their records.

We got a big round of applause and left the stage and took seats at a table at the side of the hall. The principle said there will now be a brief interval of 10 minutes and both Sam and Joe will try and answer any questions you may have, we got surrounded by many some just saying thanks for a great video.

The principle asked that everyone take their seats, Sam and I slipped out of the side door. Sam said I need the bathroom where is it, hey come this way. That was a relief we found our folks all waiting for us in the lobby. Much to my surprise my Mum was also there, and got big hugs saying nice job Joe and you sure look good. I asked how your sister is doing. Going down hill I'm afraid she back in hospital. John says Julie we are all going out for dinner; please join us.

That's nice sure will once we are all settled in the restaurant John gets two packages out and hands one to Sam the other to Joe. Now put these on please, the look on Sam's face was priceless, all John said technically you don't get you bike till tomorrow but we said you were next on the list. They are yellow with Dispatch Rider across the shoulders and the company logo on the pocket on the front.

After a real nice meal Julie says she needs to get back to her Hotel Rm as she is driving back tomorrow first thing. There were Hugs all round and Julie departs, John says well I think we should be to same as I know you two have a busy day ahead. We all go to our rooms, a few moments later a tap at the door and its John asking how is our bottle doing, Sam says about enough for about one more round if you will join us John, but hold on a minute, just leave the door open I have another bottle in my room, John is soon back and says come on you guys I want to hug you both and say well done.

Joe says Dad we could not have done it with out your help either. We hug and hug finally Sam has a chance to pour out a good stiff drink, after the second round no one is feeling any pain either. Sam takes his shirt off and looks at it saying John I sure like this and will wear it proudly at home. By now both guys had stripped to the waste, there boots and socks were off. John said he was going to hit the sack and then pulled from his pocket a pack of six condoms saying play save guys and enjoy.

As John leaves he puts the do not disturb card on the outside. We were soon stripped off and making love, Sam ask please fuck me hard Joe it's a long time since we got together, I said sure but you will have to do the same for me -- no problems. Part of the way through Sam either passed out or fell asleep while he was still in inside me. I simple push as far as I could into Sam and promptly fell asleep. Eventually I did rouse due to the phone ringing it was Jack Sam's dad asking if he was awake yet, I said no. Please tell him mother and I are going for breakfast in the coffee shop. No problem Jack thanks Joe see you. Then the phone goes again, hey guys how are your heads I said rough Ok I'll bring you some aspirins.

Take a cool shower and get dressed please, John arrives and makes some strong coffee while we shower, Sam heads to join his folks.

Dad and I do our final general shopping having got our bags packed and in the truck we head off home. A good trip and John made good time, during the journey Dad says you need to learn to drive a pickup and get your license for the highways at the same time get your motorcycle license then all is legal.
