Last time on Love Interest Chapter 6 -
"Um, what about today though? What do you guys wanna do?"
"I don't really care, it's our last day, I would much rather spend some time around the house." Lance smiled, he was thinking the exact same thing that Christina had said. Brittney walked in and smiled at Lance, she had heard the conversation and knew why Lance was smiling.
"Exactly, just some down time." Joey agreed, and Brittney nodded. JC was thinking the same thing. If he could get Justin up some time during the day.
"Will Justin be joining us this morning? Or for that matter any time before it goes dark?" Brittney asked, getting a laugh from the room. JC smiled, and nodded.
"I hope he will. I don't want to wake him though, if he wants to sleep away his last day in Orlando, then let him." JC answered back, and turned his attention back towards the paper he had been reading.
"We can't just let him ruin his final day here. We have to wake him up." Lance replied, everyone else nodding. They weren't going to let Justin complain about a sucky last day to them the whole time on tour. "The last time he wasted his last day before touring, he bitched every day about it."
"Oh well, it's his decision." JC reitirated what he had said, and once again focused on the paper. "Ya know what, I'm gonna catch a swim." Getting up he went upstairs, and slowly walked into his room. He wasn't about to wake Justin up, so he carefully opened up his drawer and grabbed a swimsuit. Stripping quickly, he was changed. Grabbing a towel as well, he turned to leave the room.
"Where ya going?" JC knew he could act like he didn't hear Justin, because Justin had only managed to whisper out the words he had spoken. But he knew that Justin would be upset if he ignored him.
"Just to take a swim baby, you don't have to get up yet." JC walked back to the bed, and took a seat next to Justin.
"Will you sleep with me?" Justin asked, looking up with pleading eyes. "I sleep better with you here."
"I really wanna swim Justin. How about I sing you to sleep?"
"Okay." Justin smiled, it wasn't as good as a pillow, but JC's voice was soothing and it would easily knock him out just as quick.
With in ten minutes, and two songs, JC was outside in the pool. Christina was now taking her turn in the shower, and Brittney and Lance were getting dressed so they could join JC in the pool. Joey was going to wait for Christina to get out of the shower, so he could take his turn.
"Hey Josh, ya tell your parents about you and Justin yet?" Lance asked as he dove into the pool. Brittney grabbed a raft from the side and dropped it in. Slowly and carefully she lowered herself onto it, and floated towards the two.
"Nah, I will, I just don't know when" JC answered, he knew his mother would be okay with it. His parents knew he was gay, and although it had taken them some time to get used to it, they were okay with it. And he also knew that his parents couldn't be happier with his choice for a boyfriend. They loved Justin, and the thought of the two of them together, would be the best choice his parents could have for him. JC was nervous though, if he told his mother, it was sure his mother would tell Justin's, and that wouldn't be good. Justin would have to tell his mother first.
"You should probably tell them before we get on tour." Brittney joined in.
"I think Justin should tell his mother first." JC spoke what he had been thinking, hoping to get an opinion from his friends.
"Why?"
"Cuz my mom will tell his mom. And Just's mom doesn't even know he's gay yet."
"Oh" Brittney realized that that was the truth, and shook her head. "Your right, he probably should tell his mother first. But I think he should tell his today, and then you can call your mom."
"It's up to Justin, if he wants to, then he can. I will be there for him though."
"That's good to know, because it is going to be hard on him." JC was regretting that part of it, but Lance was right. It would be hard on Justin no matter what his mother thought about it. And if his mother was against it, it would be a heavy blow to Justin. Something JC felt he wouldn't even be able to help him with.
"Do you guys wanna get your showers now?" Justin asked, as he lounged out on the couch. Christina and Joey had woke him when they argued over the hot water, and he too had taken his shower. Which just left the now done swimmers, JC and Lance to take theres.
"I'm gonna take another one. If we are going to go out and get lunch, then I should be cleaned up." Brittney spoke up, and rushed up the stairs. Which left JC and Lance little choice but to wait. JC took a seat on the couch with Justin, and wrapped his arms around him.
"You smell like chlorine." Justin complained, moving his face from JC's shoulder and wrinkling his nose. JC moved over, and let Justin's body go.
"Sorry." JC mumbled, but was surprised that Justin moved over to take his place back.
"I didn't say I didn't want you though." Justin smiled, and JC did too. "You just smell like chlorine, that's all."
"Well after I get my shower, I will smell like my cologne." JC smiled, on the inside he smiled too. He loved the way Justin's face brightened up when he spoke about his cologne. Justin loved the smell of JC's cologne, and hung all over him when he smelled of it.
"mmmm" Justin moaned, as he relaxed further into JC's body. He shook when he heard the phone ring. Lance was sitting close to it, so he picked it up.
"Oh hi Lynn. No, Justin is right here. I'm fine, how are you? That's great. Hold on and I will get him." Lance smiled, and stood. He walked to the couch, and handed the phone to Justin who sat up enough to talk clearly into the phone.
"Hey mom."
"Hey honey. How have you been?" Lynn Harless sat on the other side of the phone.
"Great, what about you?" Justin asked excitedly. Lance and JC looked at him with smirks. He was such a child when it came to his family.
"I'm doing good, things are good here. Have you talked to your father lately?"
"Shit!" Justin muttered, but was smacked upside his head by JC. "Ow."
"Did you hurt yourself?" Lynn asked, after hearing him say ow.
"No, JC hit me cuz I swore." Justin muttered.
"Well that's good, because you shouldn't be swearing. Now I take it from your bad mouth, that you haven't talked to him lately. Or for that matter your brother Jonathon, or Steven?"
"No, I forgot. I will though, before we leave today, I swear." Justin promised and smiled.
"So how is Joshua? And of course the others." Justin smiled, it was the same way with his mother, she would always ask how JC was, and then quickly add in the others.
"They are all doing good. Brittney and Lance are still going strong. And Chris and Dani too, but they aren't here right now. They wanted to spend the day alone, ya know, cuz she can't travel with us. And Joey's same old, still out running around with the ladies. And Christina is looking, but she hasn't found anybody yet." Justin replied, neglecting to throw in JC, because he didn't want to lie about it to his mother, but he didn't feel like he was ready to admit it to his family.
"That's great dear, what about you?" Lynn asked.
"I'm doing good, I met somebody." Justin couldn't neglect to tell his mother that much at least. He was too excited, and knew his mother would have to know at least a few details.
"Who?" Lynn asked anxiously. Justin looked at JC, and then looked back at the phone. Moving the phone away from his mouth quickly, he looked at JC.
"Can you pick up the phone babe?" Justin asked quietly, and JC left to find the other phone.
"Hey Lynn." JC said as he picked up.
"Oh hello Joshua. Have you met Justin's knew girlfriend? I was just asking him who it was, and I guess he didn't hear me and gave the phone to you, that's just like him." JC frowned, he knew why Justin had wanted him to get on the phone now.
"I'm still here mother." Justin answered, frowning.
"Sorry, I just assumed you had given him the phone. But anyways, who is this new lucky lady. She must be great for my son to ask her out." Lynn snickered.
"Anxiously, I got asked out." Justin answered, while JC smiled.
"Oh really, that's unusual for a girl to ask a guy out." Lynn spoke to herself. "Who is though?"
"Well, mom, it's, I'm dating..." Justin was stuttering, and JC knew he was having a hard time saying it.
"Justin and I are dating Lynn." Justin was surprised that JC said it so quickly. Apparently in Justin's mind, JC had said it so quickly because he was gay and had been for so long. But the real reason JC said it without hesitation, was for Justin, he didn't want to see him suffer in saying it.
"What?" Lynn asked, and Justin's face went blank searching for something to say.
"Um, we are a couple mom." Justin managed to say it, and JC smiled at him. Walking back to the couch with his cordless he sat down next to Justin. And wrapped his arm around him. For now Justin was strong, but he knew that the slightest wrong word from his mother would change that. Lance knew he probably should go, and left to find Joey and Christina.
"What do you want me to say Justin?" Lynn asked blankly, still at a loss for words. " I didn't even know you were gay. And the first thing you hit me with is that you are dating Joshua."
"Are you okay with it." Justin asked timidly, glad that JC was still on the phone.
"I don't know, I need time. I love you, and I love you too Josh. But I need time, I have to learn to understand this." Justin hung up the phone, and turned to JC. It was obvious he wasn't thrilled with the news. It wasn't all that bad, but still Justin was upset that his mother wasn't happy for them right away.
"Lynn, you never asked for time when you found out that I was gay, did you?" JC asked, as he comforted Justin on his chest.
"No." Lynn answered.
"Well, that is what we are asking for. I love Justin, and he loves me. We are perfect for each other. He needs attention, and I give it to him. Our careers don't affect our relationship, because they bring us together. Justin can't help that he is gay, and it isn't that big of thing. It's just a word, a word that seperates love. I'm not gay Lynn, I'm in love, and so what if that person is a man, that man isn't any many, he's your son." Lynn took the words JC was saying to heart. Justin however, hadn't even heard any as, as he continued to cry on JC's shoulder.
"I'm sorry Josh, tell Justin I am happy for you two. I didn't realize that you were in love, but I guess I should have seen it before. The way you are together, you are perfect for each other. But one thing Joshua, you know him so well, that if you know when you should and shouldn't do something. Which means when you make him upset, it would be uncalled for. So be warned, I am going to watch over you better then I would with any other one of his relationships." Lynn teased, and JC laughed.
"Good bye Lynn."
"Good bye Josh, and tell Justin I love him."
"Bye." JC hung up the phone, and met Justin's eyes. Justin was drying them, he had been since he heard JC's laugh.
"What she say?" Was the first thing he asked.
"I told her how good we were for each other. How much I loved you, and that it didn't matter that we were men, that our love was what mattered. And she understood, she said she was happy for us, and that she loved you." Justin's face lit up at the words, and he smiled. JC smiled too, glad that the situation wasn't so bad after all.
TBC.....
This chapter came to a conclusion with them telling Justin's parents. I hope to have them tell JC's parents in the next chapter, and then they will be on the tour in the one after that. Sorry it is taking so long for them to get to the tour, but I want to have everything tied up in the story before I start a new setting.
