Chapter One: Meeting Josh
The day I met Josh was the best day of my life. It was last summer and I had just seen Pearl Harbor for the first time. Having no boyfriend, I went to see it alone. Sad, but true. Having just got out of the theater, I was on a major Hartnett high.
I went to a local club, my usual nightly routine, hunting for a boyfriend. I had been single for 5 months and was getting very lonely. I ordered a blowjob from the bartender. The drink was the closest I had come to a real blowjob since my boyfriend dumped me for some "hotter" guy.
I was drinking my blowjob, when a tall dark-haired man sat beside me. I watched him as he ordered a sex on the beach. He looked strangely familiar to me. His voice was also very familiar, not to mention sexy as hell. Even in the poor light of the bar I could tell he was attractive. I took a deep breath and went for it.
"Hi," I said. "My name's Kevin. What's up?"
"Hi, I'm Josh. Are you as bored as I am?" He said, facing me for the first time. He was beautiful. His eyes immediately drew my attention. I gazed at him for what seemed like forever. Finally, I came to my senses and answered him.
"If you're so bored you could die, than yes I am as bored as you." I said.
"Wanna dance?" He asked.
I almost died. There I was sitting next to the most beautiful creature I had ever seen in my entire life. All I wanted was for him to talk to me and acknowledge my existence, and he not only does that, but he asks me to dance! I said "yes," and he took my hand. His hand was soft, yet masculine and rugged at the same time.
The light was a little better on the dance floor than it had been at the bar. As we began to groove to the rocking beats I noticed his face in the lights of the disco ball. He looked exactly like Josh Hartnett. I thought it impossible and tried to put the thought out of my mind. We danced for over a half an hour before going back and sitting at the bar.
He took a sip of his drink. I watched him intently. I had to know.
"Has anyone ever told you that you look like Josh Hartnett?"
"Actually, I am Josh Hartnett." He said.
"Yeah, I wish." I said.
"No, I swear." He said, as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet. He paid for his drink and mine and I thanked him for his generosity. Then he took his open wallet and pointed to his license. "See," he said. I was shocked when I saw it. The name on his license read: Hartnett, Joshua D. He really was Josh Hartnett! I was so excited that I couldn't speak.
When I finally found my voice again, I asked him what the D stood for. I felt so stupid. I already knew his middle name, I just couldn't think of anything else to say.
"Daniel," he said."
"I am like so nervous right now. Forgive me." I said.
"It's all right. You're not the first."
I told him of my love for him, which began years ago when I saw "The Faculty," and I informed him that I had just seen Pearl Harbor before coming to the bar. I couldn't tell in the dull light, but I think I made him blush. He told me he was extremely flattered and that he likes me, too and thinks I am really hot. Now it was mine turn to blush.
I couldn't believe my ears. Josh Hartnett said I was hot! Before I could compose myself Josh asked me a question I had only dreamed of hearing him ask me.
"Do you wanna come to my place?"
"Yes!" I said with far too much enthusiasm. I was so afraid I had scared him away.
Just then he took me by the hand and led me to the door. We walked to his car, hand in hand. He opened the passenger door for me, and closed it after I was settled inside. He drove us to his place, which was not far from the bar. He opened the car door for me, shutting it after I got out. He led me to the front door and I watched as he unlocked it. He let me inside first, coming in behind me. He shut and locked the door behind him.
His apartment was modest, but gorgeous. The living room was quite large, with a soft maroon colored couch, four blue recliners and a white loveseat. The carpet was sandy colored and very soft. There was no entryway between the living room and the kitchen. It was all open space. The kitchen had fake wood flooring, an island in the middle and all the usual things you see in a kitchen. I loved the beautiful gray and white marble countertops. The light reflected off them, warmly.
He asked me if I wanted a drink and I said "sure." He brought in two root beers, sat beside me on the couch and handed me one. It was like he had read my mind. For some reason I had been craving root beer all night.
"How do ya like the place?" He asked.
"It's awesome." I said.
"Thanks. I really like it here. The only thing I don't like about it is it's so empty and lonely. I guess that's why I asked you over. I've been alone for so long, ya know? I mean, I haven't dated for over two years." He said.
"That's hard to believe. You know how many women would kill to be in my place right now? To be here, talking to you?"
"Yeah, but they wouldn't yield the results they want."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean, I wouldn't have sex with them or anything." He looked into my eyes. I could have sworn he was about to cry. His voice shook as he spoke. "Can I confide in you about something?"
"Yes. You can tell me anything."
He looked so worried as he prepared to tell me his secret. His lips quivered. "I'm gay." He said. A tear rolled down his cheek. I gently wiped it away.
"It's okay. Your secret's safe with me." I said.
He looked at me like he was questioning my sincerity.
"Promise?" He asked.
"I promise."
"Do you realize how rich you could get selling that information to a tabloid?" Josh asked.
"I don't care," I said. "All I care about is if you telling me you're gay makes you feel better. I mean, it must be such a weight off of your shoulders."
"It is, but I'm scared. If anyone finds out^Å"
"They'll love you anyway, Josh. Any true fan of yours will always love you. I know I will." I said, as I looked into his captivating brown eyes.
He began to cry. I took him into my arms and just held him as the tears came. He cried so hard. I felt so bad for him. Several minutes passed before he lifted his head off my shoulder.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Anytime you need to talk, I'm here." I said.
"I know," he replied. "Don't ask me how, I just know."
He leaned into me and kissed me gently on my lips. It was amazing. His lips were so smooth, so soft and inviting.
"Hold me." He said, softly, as he laid down on the couch, putting his feet behind me.
I laid beside him, facing him, and we wrapped our arms around each other. I could feel his stuttering breath on my neck. He really was terrified about being found out. I gently stroked his cheek with my hand.
"It's all right, Josh. Everything will be all right." I said.
"As long as I have you, I'll be just fine." He said.
He pulled me closer. His breathing slowly became calmer. Before we knew it we were asleep.
I woke up the next morning alone on the couch. Was it all a dream? I heard noise coming from the kitchen. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and sat up sluggishly. Upon looking into the kitchen I discovered Josh cooking breakfast. It was real. It really happened. I had actually spent the night with Josh Hartnett. I was still half asleep when Josh looked over and saw I was watching him.
"Good morning." He said, cheerfully.
"Hey," I groaned as I flopped back down on the couch.
"Let me guess: you're not a morning person, are you?"
"God no." I said with a low grumble.
"Well, I'm sorry, Kevin, but you have to be a morning person today. I made you this nice breakfast to show my appreciation for last night." He said as he walked over to the couch. "Best sex I ever had."
I sat up, alert and wide awake.
WHAT!??? I exclaimed.
"I knew that would wake you." He said.
"You're a regular riot, Josh." I said, unamused, but with a joking tone.
"I try." He replied. "Now come on before everything gets cold."
I got up and followed him into the kitchen.
This was kinda an intro. I promise as the story progresses it will become hotter.
