Sorry about part 6, I mistakenly sent in a rough draft instead of the one Adrian had proof read for me . Anyways I'm just going to let it be as the story line is the same . OK , here we go .

Sam once again answered right after the first ring. Just like before, I was relieved, I didn't have to ask for him. My voice was still shaky and I thought his Grandparents would know something was wrong.

"Mike?"

"Hey Sam." I felt relief wash over me to just to hear his voice even though it had only been a half hour.

"How did it go? Can you stay in our class? You didn't fight with them did you?" Please tell me you didn't!" Sam said, again with that one long breath thing he does when he's worried.

"Whoa, slow down Sam, one question at a time", I couldn't help but giggle. He sounded so cute when he did that. Hell, to me he sounded cute all the time.

"No Sam, I didn't argue with them and they're talking it over now. I did my best to convince them to let me stay but it really depends on how I act and I guess how my grades are at the end of the quarter. The 'rents said I'd have their answer before bed time tonight. If they say that I'm moving into the Core class Sam I'm just going to stop doing any homework and fail my tests on purpose. I'll shut them out Sam. I won't talk to them ever again. I've never done anything like that before but don't know what else to do."

The line went silent and I could hear Sam breathing before he said;

"Mike if you do that you'll get grounded and I'll never get to see you other than glimpses in the hallway. And then I won't speak to you. It will kill me to do it but I will, I'll have to. That won't help us at all if you pull that kind of crap and you know it."

I sighed before I went on, "You're right Sam. I could never do that anyways. Would you really drop me like that Sam?"

"If it would get you come around I would. I miss my parents so much and won't allow what we want to come between you and yours. They're only doing what they think is best for you."

"You're right, Sam. How in the hell did you get so smart?" I couldn't help but laugh as I said it.

"Just lucky I guess" he laughed back.

Speaking of being smart made me wonder just why the homework was so damn hard. I knew other kids didn't suffer what I did each night.

Sam didn't know that sometimes while I did my homework I'd bust my pen or slam my palm against the table in frustration. Occasionally the red fog would even start creeping up on me. My folks had surely noticed, Dad would come over to see what was giving me trouble and help me out. I vowed to make damn sure that I cut that shit out in the future.

"Mike, after we talked I explained to the G's (Gran and Gramps) what's going on and they both agreed to my proposal with just one condition. I'm going to drop out of the tutoring program at the school and just concentrate working with you. Since it's a volunteer program the school can't stop me and it's not like I need the money. Monday Wednesday and Friday I can come over after school and we'll hit the books. We can change the days if we have a test or something else pops up.

You have to see John on Thursdays and I see him on Tuesdays so that's a non-issue. The G's were so happy that I have a friend again I think they'd go along with just about anything I asked at this point. Now the only thing they stood firm on is that I either get a ride home or you ride with me. After I'd come home with torn clothes and a little blood here and there, couple bruises they're terrified something worse will happen to me. I had to tell them about the shit I've been getting and why. I even told them about how you stood up to Todd and have gotten him to back off. Mike, I told them I like boys and they were shocked and confused about it but they seem to think it's something I'll grow out of. They haven't brought it up since and I don't think they ever will. They said they loved me no matter what and just wanted me to be careful with who I share that info with."

"Wow Sam I can't believe they're so cool with all this. Do they know about us?" I asked, more than a little worried. I told Sam that my Mom would want to speak with the G's about all this before we got the green light and didn't want my folks to know about Sam and me. Not yet anyways, if ever.

"No they never asked if we are anything than friends. They're cool with it but I don't think they want to know any more than I've already told them. Besides, they'd never bring something like that up, never." Sam replied.

He sounded confidant like he had this all figured out. I sure as hell hoped so.

"You're looking forward to gym tomorrow as much as I am? I'll get to see you bare assed like you've already seen me!" said Sam with glee in his voice.

"What makes you so sure you're gonna get to see my goodies tomorrow , Mr. Wright?. (Sam's last name) .As you know, I'm a very modest boy!" I said in a dead pan voice.

Snickering Sam replied " All Eighth grade boys are required to shower after gym class, I guess we stink more so than we did last year. Coach Perkins stands in the shower room doorway to make sure we all shower and no horseplay or snide remarks are made, at least for the first week so I've been told."

"So two funny boys get to check out all our classmates? Whoo-hoo! I bet Todd's hung like a bull! A gerbil!" I said.

"I don't know about that"' Sam said a little too quickly. That got me thinking about the night Sam had stayed over at Todd's house and then all the bullshit started.

Before I could reply, my Mom called me to come down.

"Sam, Mom needs me downstairs. Can I call you back? I think they might have made a decision."

"I don't care if it's midnight, call me back. Good luck Mike. No fighting! We'll work it out whatever way they decide to go with you. Love you buddy." Just like that he was gone. I stared at the phone a second before whispering "Love you too" to the dial tone as I set it back down init's cradle.

Like a condemned man I walked down the stairs to my fate. Just like before my folks were in their usual spots in the living room so I took my spot on the love seat. I thought Mom had a small smile on her face but I really couldn't be sure. My palms were all sweaty and I felt like I was gonna hurl my dinner back up. I looked anxiously at Dad as he began;

"Mike you're going to stay where you are for the fore see-able future."

"Yes", I yelled as I jumped up from my seat rushing over to hug him. The tears of relief ran down my face as I hugged him as hard as I could. I thanked them both as I wiped the tears away.

He hugged me back as Mom joined us. After a minute we all returned to our seats and Dad started speaking once more.

"You're a fine boy Mike and as long as you say you're OK and your grades remain at least a C in every class we see no reason to have you moved. If you decide to join the corp. go to college or to join me at T&C we'll be there to support you. I want to meet Sam and speak with his grandparents to see how they feel about all this."

"Sam already has asked for their permission and they agreed to him tutoring me. They like me and trust Sam. I told Sam I'd call him back and let him know before bed time, can I call him now and you can speak to the G's?" I asked.

"The G's?, Dad asked with raised eyebrows.

"His grandparents. The G's", I smiled along with Dad.

"Sure, Mike , go call your friend with the good news and after I'll speak with the G's as you guys so eloquently call them," he said with a grin.

I took the stairs two at a time as I ran up to call Sam. My Sam I thought. Nothing is going to keep us apart, nothing. Sam once again answered on the first ring.

"Well? Give me the good news, please , let it be good news !"

"Looks like I got a new tutor", I told him.

"Looks like you have a new tutor" he corrected with a laugh.

"So the lessons begin! I wonder what else you can teach me, Sir?"

We talked and joked for a few minutes before I put my Dad on the phone to work out the details with the G's then Sam and I make plans to bike to school in the morning. That night I once again relieved my aching dick while thinking of all the things we could try to teach one another.

To be continued.

Thanks Adi for proof reading and your patience with my repeated mistakes.
