Chapter 7

Morning came way too early. My alarm went off at 5:30, the usual time for a Friday. I get up early every other day to workout in the basement with Ben before he has to get to school. We don't like to disrupt the routine, so we get up at the same time even when we don't have to be anywhere. There is a pretty nice set up down there.

I was not happy to get out of bed. Lance was all curled up against my body. Boy does he feel good. As I started to move, he woke up and groggily asked, "why are you moving?"

I kissed his nose. "It's time for my workout. Ben will be down shortly, and I can't have him barging in on us like this."

"I guess you're right. I wish I had stuff to wear, I could join you."

"Sweetie, it's ok. You need your rest. You guys have a concert tonight. Speaking of which, what time do you need to be back at the hotel by?"

"I can go with you when you go into work; that should be early enough."

"Jamie, I don't work on Fridays."

"I knew that, I forgot what today was. Days kinda blend together when we are on the road. I need to be there by 8:30 for the daily schedule meeting. I'll call security for a pick-up at 8:15."

"Jamie, you don't have to do that. I'd be more than happy to drop you off. I have to run some errands this morning anyway."

"If you're sure."

"Uncle Heath!!" I heard Ben shout down the hallway. "Are you ready yet?"

I poked my head out my bedroom door. "Not yet. Give me a minute, I'll meet you downstairs."

"Ok," he said as he approached. "Morning Lance." He called through the open door.

"Good morning," Lance replied.

Ben continued down the hallway and went down the stairwell to the basement. I crossed over to my dresser and pulled out a pair of basketball shorts and put them on. I then walked back to Lance, who was propped up in bed against the pillows.

"Damn, you look hot." He reached up and tugged my nipple ring gently.

'Oh god, that is such a turn on. If only Ben wasn't waiting, the things I would do right now.'

"Jamie, try to go back to sleep. I'll wake you up when I come back upstairs, that should be enough time to have some fun before we need to get ready for the day."

"I don't know how well I'll sleep without you by my side, but I'll try. I love you, have a good workout."

I leaned in and gave him a kiss. "I love you too, I'll see you in about an hour.

I went down to the basement. Ben had already set up the weights for himself; he was waiting for me to spot him.

"Did you have a good time last night?" I asked.

"Yeah it was totally wicked. Chris is so cool. I can't wait to spend more one on one time with him. How fucking awesome is that? Pop stars spending time with us." He said as he lay down on the weight bench.

"Language," I admonished, as I got into position.

"Sorry. So did you have a good time with Lance?" He started lifting.

"Lance and I enjoyed our evening very much."

"Did you do anything fun after we left?"

"Yes we did."

"Details?"

"No. None of your business."

"You suck."

"Sometimes."

"Uncle Heath!"

"You said it."

"Ok, fine. So are you excited that Lance and the guys are going to be here through New Year's?"

"Very much so. It is amazing how much his friends are giving up so that he can be here. It's one thing to add a week to their tour, but now they are giving up an extra two weeks. Time that they had planned to see their families during."

"Chris told me that his, Lance's and JC's families were going to come up to Boston for Christmas, and that Justin and Joey were going to fly home for a couple days, but that they would all be here most of the time. Do you think that we could invite everyone over for Christmas dinner?"

"Wow, Lance didn't tell me any of that. I'll have to check with him what their plans are, and I'll also have to check with Grammy and Grampy, and your mom and dad. Christmas has always been for family only."

"Uncle Heath, we both know that Lance is already family. Just look at the ring on your finger."

"What do you mean?"

"That's an engagement ring. You might be wearing it on the wrong hand and the wrong finger, but it's still an engagement ring."

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, Sean's older sister got that same ring when she got engaged." Ben said referring to his best friend. He had finished his reps, so I adjusted the weights and switched places with him.

'This puts a whole new spin on things.' I thought. "Lance gave me the ring last night as a symbol of the stages that we have gone through." I said to Ben.

"Maybe he was going to propose, but thought it was too soon, or something."

"I guess you could be right, but I'm not going to worry about it right now. I know he gave me the ring because he is in love with me, and that is all that matters.

After that, we didn't talk much. We finished up our workout, and headed upstairs. Usually Ben sticks around for a power breakfast, but I think he knew that it was better if he went straight home.

"I'll see you later Uncle Heath."

"Bye," I called after him.

When I went into my room I saw that Lance was asleep, curled up on my side of the king bed. He had kicked the sheet and blanket off. He looked beautiful. The toned muscles, the smoothness of his chest, his morning wood protruding from neatly trimmed pubic hairs; they all made my body react in such a delightful way. I walked over to him losing my shorts as I moved. I dropped down on my knees right next to him, bringing my face up to his. I licked along his jaw line, and he moaned but did not wake. I then started kissing him. His eyes shot open sometime after I started massaging his tongue with mine, realizing what was happening; he started to bring the kiss even deeper.

When he tried to pull me up on top of him, I stopped the kiss.

"What's wrong?" Lance asked.

"I'm all sweaty and I feel gross. Do you want to take a shower with me?"

"I would love to."

We made our way into the bathroom. I let Lance set the temperature and the strength of the massaging shower head. Once it was to his approval, I stepped in after him, and grabbed the shampoo. I squirted a little in my palm and started to work it into his hair. Meanwhile he had grabbed my shower poof and gel and working up a good lather started to wash my body. I was in heaven, Lance was massaging my aching muscles as he washed, and I got to play with his silky strands. Every few moments we would come together for a kiss. After I conditioned and rinsed his hair, we swapped places. He wanted to wash my hair, but I am a good seven inches taller than him, so that didn't work so well. I pulled him into a hug to stop him from trying to be on his tippy-toes.

"Jamie, I don't want you to slip and fall. I'll wash my own hair real quick and then I'll wash you."

He pouted, "but I want to wash your hair. I love how it feels."

"Maybe one night we can take a bath together and you can wash my hair then."

"Ok, I guess."

He was just so cute; he looked like a little boy when he couldn't get his own way.

"Smile for me?"

He flashed me one of his trademark toothy grins, but I knew that it was only for my benefit. I felt guilty.

"How about tonight after the show? We'll come back here and turn on the jets in the tub, have a glass of wine, and you can wash my hair until your heart's content."

This time he really smiled. "Really?"

"Yes, Jamie."

"God, I love you Ry." He said hugging me.

"Ry?"

"I need something to call you that no one else does. Do you not like it?"

"No, actually I do Jamie." I kissed his forehead. "Now let's finish up before we get all wrinkly. We've been in here a long time."

We finished our shower. I dried Lance off and he did the same for me. I started to style my hair, when he asked me to leave it undone.

"I just want to run my hands through it without feeling gunk and worrying about messing it up." He said with his eyes pleading for compliance.

The things I do for this man. I ended up blow drying it and let it be. It was messy looking but he seemed to enjoy it. I would ask him to do the same, but I know that I can't. He is working today, so he needs to look like Lance the pop star. As he brushed his teeth, I shaved. He had already gone to the bedroom to get dressed when I started to brush my teeth. When I was done in the bathroom, I went into my bedroom to get dressed and he wasn't there.

"Jamie?" I called out.

"In the kitchen. I'm making coffee."

"Oh, ok. I'll be out in a minute."

"No worries."

I quickly got dressed in my favorite pair of jeans, which I might add show off my ass pretty nicely, a navy wife beater and a navy check shirt, which I left unbuttoned. I walked over to the kitchen, and saw Lance facing the sink. It was amazing, Lance was also wearing a pair of jeans and the same shirt, but his was buttoned up. I started laughing. He turned around, wondering why I was cracking up.

"No way," he said chuckling. "This is too weird."

"Yeah, it is. I'll go change."

"Don't it's cute."

"Jamie, be serious." I said walking up to him and bringing him into a hug. "I can't be wearing the same outfit as you, not only would your friends laugh their asses off, we can't let anyone find out what's going on here."

"Yeah, you're right Ry. I wish that I didn't have to hide who I am."

"Jamie, I understand my responsibilities being your boyfriend. It doesn't bother me. We don't have to hide it from the people that are most important to us."

He looked up at me, seeing the truth in my eyes.

"Don't let go. Just for a few minutes, don't let me go." He said pulling me tighter to him, and his eyes tearing.

"I'll never let you go." I said stroking his back. "But it might be uncomfortable when you have to go to the bathroom." I said joking.

He cracked a small smile.

"Now, stop those tears. I'll be back in a few; I'm just going to change the top shirt."

"Another minute? Please." He said not letting go.

"Ok." I stood there for another couple minutes, letting him draw the strength that he needed from me. Amazing, I used to need his strength to help me through. When he pulled away, I asked, "are you ok?"

"I think so. It just hit me hard how much I am asking of you to be with me." He said looking at my chest.

I pulled his chin up with my finger, and looked into his gorgeous green eyes. "Jamie, if I wasn't willing to put in the effort, I wouldn't. You should know that. I fell in love with you, without being with you."

"I know. Do you know how much I love you Ry?"

"I do. I see it in your eyes, I hear it in your voice, I feel it when you touch me, and I know it when you change not only your schedule, but those of all the people around you. Speaking of which, were you ever going to tell me about Christmas?"

"I was going to talk to you about it. It kinda slipped my mind." He stepped over to the coffee maker and poured us each a mug. Then walked to the fridge and got the milk out. He made my coffee exactly the way I take it, and handed it to me. I was a little curious how he knew, but realized he must have watched me do it last night.

"It's ok, I just want to be prepared. I'm going to talk to the fam and make sure it's ok that all of you guys and your families can come over for Christmas dinner."

"You don't have to do that. We were planning on eating at the hotel, especially with all the people that are coming."

"Jamie, usually Christmas dinner here is for family only. But you know that I already consider you family, as does my mother. I just want to make sure it's ok with my dad."

"Ry, do you realize how many people that would be with everyone? Just your family and our parents are twenty. I have no idea how many brothers and sisters and extended families are going to show up."

"Jamie, it's not a problem. The dining table can certainly seat twenty and if there are more, we'll squeeze. I would love to spend Christmas with you. I just need to clear it with my dad. He's a pretty traditional guy, and Christmas has only been us so far."

"Whatever happens I'll be ok with it, as long as I get to spend some time with you."

"I think that can be arranged. Especially since you've worked so hard to be with me. Now it's getting late. Let me change my shirt and we can be on our way."

I put on a different shirt that matched the wife beater, and grabbed Lance's duffle bag. I poked my head back in the kitchen and saw Lance taking my travel mug and filling it with the rest of the coffee. He then took the decanter and mugs and put them in the dishwasher. He is such a good boyfriend. He then turned, saw me and smiled.

"I know that you can't go anywhere without your second cup of coffee." He said walking over to me, and traded the duffle for the mug.

"Thanks for doing that," I pointed to the dishwasher with my head.

"No problem."

"Let's go."

"Yup."

We got in the SUV, and I drove over to the hotel. We got there a little early.

"Hey do you want to meet some of my best friends?" I asked.

"I'd love to."

"Who do you want to meet first Tribora or Terrence?"

"Tribora, for sure. I love talking to that girl online, and she sends me the cutest e-mails all the time."

"Ok." I said heading into the hotel. I brought him over to the door that leads behind the Front Desk, and punched in the code

"Wow, I'm going into sacred territory now. Do I need a backstage pass, or a secret password?"

"Ha, ha, very funny." I said to him, bringing him into the back office. I noticed that Tribora was taking a reservation call. I brought my finger up to my lips indicating that we should be quiet. He took that as an invitation to give me a kiss. Not that I don't like kissing Lance, it's just that work is work.

"Hey," I said softly. "None of that here."

"Aww." He pouted.

I noticed that Tribora was off the phone. I lightly tapped her on the shoulder, so that I wouldn't startle her.

"Hey girl."

She jumped up and gave me a hug, "hey boy. What are you doing here?"

I jerked a thumb over my shoulder and pointed out Lance.

"So is this your boyfriend?"

"Bora, you know it is. Jamie, this is the stabilizing factor of my life, Tribora. Tribora, this is the love of my life, Lance."

Tribora held out her hand, "nice to finally meet you."

Lance ignored her hand and pulled her into a hug. "God, I feel the same way. I am so happy to be here." Then attempting to whisper he continued, "thanks for all your help pulling everything off."

Before Tribora could say a word I said, "excuse me? Pulling what off?"

"Uh," they both said.

I turned to Bora, "you knew!?!"

"Uh, yeah."

"Were you going to tell me?"

"Nope. I was sworn to secrecy. But don't you remember me telling you that Lance was probably gay?"

"No."

"It was after you freaked, when you found out that James was really Lance."

"Oh yeah, you told me that he was still the same person and if I remember correctly `to haul ass upstairs and go talk to [my] boy.'"

"Correct." She said as I gave her a hug.

We talked for a few more minutes, before I said that I wanted to bring Lance upstairs to meet Terrence.

"Hey do you want to come with me to the concert tonight?" I asked Tribora as Lance and I headed to the back stairwell. "We can do an early dinner and then head over to the Garden."

"Love to. Does this mean I can get off work early?"

I quickly looked at the schedule. "Sure, three work for you?"

"Yeah that's enough time. I'll call your cell later with a place to meet."

"Wicked. I'll talk to you later."

We hugged each other goodbye. Then Lance came over hugged Tribora, kissed her lightly on the lips, and said "thanks again."

We then headed upstairs.

"Kissing my friends?"

"Exactly, it was a friendly kiss."

"I wouldn't try that with Terrence. He's as straight as they come."

"Ooh, a challenge."

We made it up the five flights of stairs to the Executive Offices. "Let me make sure the coast is clear. I should probably check my mailbox while I'm up here."

I opened the door, and saw no one at the reception desk, a good sign. We can scoot down the hallway to Terrence's office without being seen by anyone else. I pushed Lance in the right direction and pointed out Terrence's door. Lance knocked on the open door.

"Come in," Terrence said.

"Hey Terrence," Lance said and walked into the room. I hadn't had a chance to make my way in when I heard, "Lance, buddy, great to see you! How's the room? Sleep well?" Terrence got up from behind his desk.

`Buddy?' I thought, hanging back a little.

"The room is fine, and I slept great at Heath's last night." Lance walked over to Terrence and gave him a hearty hug, and as I made it into the office I saw Lance kiss Terrence on the lips.

"HR, had a good night, heh?" Terrence asked.

I blushed thirty shades of red. "Ah, yeah. It was good." I answered. "So I guess I don't really need to introduce you guys."

"Nope," Lance said. "Big T and I have been talking ever since you gave me his name three months ago. We met in person a couple of times already. How do you think we were able to coordinate everything?"

"Yeah, I guess I was the only one out of the loop." I said a little upset.

"Ry, don't be mad. Just think how great everything has been." He came over to me and kissed me, slipping a little tongue.

"I'm not mad. I just felt a little left out, but I'll be ok." `Wait a second, I did see Lance kissing Terrence just now didn't I?' "Hey, how come you never let me hug or kiss you?" I asked Terrence.

"Well, one you're too shy to ever make the first move, and two who wouldn't want to kiss the sexy Lance Bass?" Terrence answered.

"Too shy? Yeah I guess I am."

Terrence walked over to me and enveloped me in a tight hug. Leaning down (I'm tall at 6'6", but Terrence is even taller at 6'8") he kissed me softly on the lips. I was shocked to say the least. For one, he smelled amazing, and two he's straight. I was dazed as I asked "huh?"

"Heath, I am not opposed to sharing a light kiss between brothers." Now I was even more confused, and that must have shown on my face. "I love you like a little brother. You have always been there for me, you are one of my best friends, but it's more than that."

"Oh, wow. I never thought about it like that. But you are right. That is exactly how I feel about you too." I wanted to cry, but instead I just threw my arms around him and held on tight. We held each other for a few moments before Lance put an arm around each of our waists and joined the hug.

"I hate to break this up, but I have to get to my meeting." Lance started. "Ry, I'm gonna go. I'll see you sometime later today. If you have time, it would be totally cool if you could bring everyone over during sound check. Then we can all do dinner together."

"Everyone?" I asked.

"Yeah, the terror squad and their friends, you and Tribora, Terrence and Rachel, I think that covers everyone. You can drive over; your car has been cleared for the lot."

"Sweet, Terrence you'll be there tonight too?" He nodded. "Wait, I can't fit that many people in my car."

"Well, it's not really your car. We rented a fifteen passenger van with a driver for you. That way, you don't have to worry about having to drive everyone home. And you also don't really have to worry about watching the kids. We've assigned a security detail to keep them in line. Now I really have to go before I get in trouble." He kissed me quick and ran out the door.

"Wow," was all I could say.

"Yeah," Terrence agreed.

To be continued . . .
