"I...I...uh, sorry to interrupt," JC finally spit out. He grabbed up the keys and flew out of the house.

Justin finally shook himself out of his stupor when he heard the front door slam shut.

"Josh! Wait!" he called running after him.

Craig was left alone sitting there on the cold marble counter. He had mildly recognized the man that had just flown the coop, but he couldn't place him. He picked up his cell phone. Dropped it in his back pocket and went upstairs.

When Justin reached the driveway, JC's Jaguar had already vanished around the corner. Justin's heart pounded harder then ever before in his chest. He started to get light headed when he realized what would happen. There would be an inescapable chain reaction. JC would call all the guys, who would have a meeting with their manager Johnny, who would have a meeting with Jive executives, who would cancel the next album, the tour and anything else they wanted. He had to find JC.

Justin took a deep breath and jogged back into the house. He walked into the kitchen and was surprised when he didn't see Craig sitting where he had left him. With his eyes stinging from the inevitable tears that would flow, Justin walked into the living room.

Craig was bounding down the stairs, shoes on, keys in hand. Justin looked up at him.

"Are you leaving?" he asked. This was the second time today he had asked that same question to this man. God, he could be needy sometimes he thought.

"Yeah I thought that would be best," Craig said slightly cold.

He started to walk by Justin when the other man spoke.

"What's wrong?"

"What do you think is wrong?" Craig asked spinning around to look Justin in the face. "You lied to me."

Justin almost gasped when he saw how the man's immaculate eyes were muddied with anger and resentment.

"I never lied to you," he said in confusion.

"How could you say that? You already have a lover."

"What? No I don't."

"Who was that guy then and how did he have a key to your house?" Craig asked arms crossed over his chest.

"That was JC, he's in the group. He's not even gay."

Craig looked at him intently. Justin's blue eyes were on the brink of overflowing. He couldn't lose his career and a potential lover all in the same day.

"Please don't go," Justin said, his eyes and voice pleading with Craig. "I'm telling you the truth."

Craig sighed, "Okay. I believe you."

The tears that Justin had been trying to hold back so hard slipped from the brims of his eyes and slid down his cheeks. Craig wrapped his arms around him and held him.

"I know JC's freaked out. If he tells anyone my career is over," Justin said clinging to Craig.

"It's going to be okay," he said. "Why don't you try calling him."

Justin reluctantly let go of the man and nodded. They sat together on the couch while Justin dialed JC's cell number.

The voicemail came on with one ring. Justin sighed but decided to leave a short message.

"Hey Jayce it's me. I'm at home. Call me okay? Bye," he hung up the phone.

"He'll call," Craig said with his arm around Justin's waist.

He ran his hand up and down the other man's side and kissed his cheek.

Justin nodded and leaned his head on Craig's shoulder.

"Please tell me you never have to leave," Justin said closing his eyes.

"I can't promise never, but I definitely don't know of any place I'd rather be."

Justin kissed him deeply.

Craig broke the kiss, "Did you lock the door?" he asked with a smile.

Justin grinned back, "I'll go double check."

He got up and did so, sliding the bolt on the door as well.

"We are now officially secure," Justin said walking back into the room.

Craig was laying there on the couch, one hand behind his head the other stroking his stomach underneath his shirt. He smiled up at Justin as the other man loomed over him. Craig let his hand move up and rest on his chest. Justin smiled when he noticed that Craig's shirt was up a little and he could see the man's treasure trail disappear into his loose fitting jeans.

"Join me?" Craig asked reaching a hand up to his friend.

Justin took the hand in his and lay on top of the man. Craig didn't look much bigger than Justin but was able to support the man's weight with little effort.

"So who else has a key to your house?" he asked with a smirk.

"Well obviously JC, my mom, and..." Justin trailed off and looked down at the army green color of Craig's t-shirt.

Craig lifted Justin's chin with his hand, "And who?"

"Britney," Justin said, his apology written all over his face.

"It's okay Justin. You can give a key to your house to anyone you want. It's just that, your house. Okay?"

He nodded. Craig pulled him closer with his hand and they kissed. Craig's hands moved up and down Justin's firm back, feeling the muscles ripple with each of the man's movements. He stroked Justin's face as they talked.

"Can I ask you a question?" Craig asked.

"Sure."

"Are you gay or bi?"

Justin thought a moment, "I don't really know, but I guess if Britney didn't turn me on anymore, I'd have to be gay."

Or have good taste, Craig thought. But instead he just smiled.

"Are you attracted to me?" he asked.

Justin blushed, "Yeah. Are you attracted to me?"

"Yes. Very," he said kissing Justin again.

Justin didn't know why he had to ask; he could feel the man's erection practically drilling a whole in his stomach. He was sure that Craig could feel his also.

They stopped kissing and Craig looked into his eyes.

"You're beautiful," Justin said softly.

Craig smiled a little self-consciously, "I think you're the beautiful one. I can't believe I was going to walk out of your life just a little while ago."

"You really thought JC was my boyfriend?"

Craig nodded, "He's very attractive."

"I guess," Justin shrugged. "I never really thought of him that way. We're more like brothers than anything else."

"That's probably why then."

"But now that you mention it, JC is pretty hot," Justin said letting his eyes glaze over in deep thought.

"Hey," Craig said moving a little to jerk Justin out of his thoughts. "You can't say things like that," he smiled.

"And why's that?"

Craig held Justin tight, "Because you're my man." He kissed Justin, who was so amazed at those words that he didn't even close his eyes during the kiss.

When Craig pulled back Justin's eyes were still very wide.

"I'm sorry did I scare you with that?" he asked.

"Were you joking?" Justin asked still a bit stunned.

"Kind of. Would it have been so bad if I weren't joking though? I mean I know we just met yesterday, but I feel this strong connection with you."

"I feel it too."

"I know. Let's forget I opened my stupid mouth, and let's just enjoy each other's company okay?"

"Your mouth isn't stupid. I've actually grown quite fond of it," Justin said placing a few kisses on the lips in question.

"Is it strange that this is the happiest I've been in months?" Craig asked.

"No not at all. I actually feel the same way. Can I tell you something?"

"Yeah."

"I finished my song while you were sleeping."

"Really?"

"Yeah. It's about you. You inspire me."

"Do I really?"

"Yes."

"Hey, you're not going to out yourself on your next album are you?" he asked jokingly.

Justin laughed, "I highly doubt it. People may be ready to see me go solo, but there's no way they're ready to see me with a guy. Even a sexy, handsome, intelligent one like you."

Craig blushed.

"Come on," Justin said getting up, "I want to sing it to you."

"Aw, baby. We were so comfortable," he wined.

Justin laughed and pulled Craig's shirt, "Come on."

Craig sat up and then followed the man upstairs, holding onto his waist as they went.

JC drove away from Justin's house not really knowing where he was going. The scene he had just witnessed in Justin's kitchen replayed over and over in his head like a movie reel.

All kinds of thoughts cascaded through JC's mind as he stopped at a red light. Was Justin really gay? Did he even know the guy he was kissing very well? What if the guy sold the story to a newspaper or something? This would ruin Justin. This would ruin the group. How selfish could his best friend be anyway?

A car horn beeped behind him when he didn't notice the green light right away. What was he supposed to do now that he had this most likely top-secret information? He guessed that none of the other guys knew, but there was no way to be sure. He needed to talk to somebody, but who? Usually he would turn to his best friend when he had a problem. Was this time any different?

JC stopped suddenly and made a sharp U turn, soliciting honking horns as he went.

"Like I said, I'm still not sure on the music," Justin said.

"It was beautiful," Craig said leaning over and kissing him lightly on the lips.

The two men's lip locking embrace was cut short when the red light on the wall blinked and the monitor switched on.

"What's that?" Craig asked as Justin walked over to it.

"A security camera. Never can be too safe."

"Oh cool," he said jumping up. "Who's here?"

"It's JC," Justin said, his heart starting to pound harder. He wished that Josh had just called. He really wasn't looking forward to having to face his friend's interrogating questions in person.

Craig noticed the change in Justin's demeanor when he said his band mate's name. He touched Justin's shoulder. To Justin that touch spoke volumes and his heart filled with pride at the man it had chosen to fall in love with.

"I'll be down in a minute," Justin said into the intercom.

JC looked up at the camera and nodded, obviously not wanting to waste his words on the machine.

"Want me to stay up here?" Craig asked.

Justin thought for a second and then smiled at him. "Thanks, but no. Come with me?"

When Craig looked into his eyes he was looking at the pleading eyes of a child. He couldn't help but fall for Justin just a little bit more and a little harder. Justin needed him and wanted him around. This was the first man in Craig's life who valued his presence.

Craig took the hand that Justin now offered him and followed the man downstairs. He stood in the living room as Justin opened the front door.

"Hey," he said to JC.

"Hi," JC said back stepping into the house.

Justin shut the door and turned to his friend.

"I just wanted to apologize for barging in like that. I wanted to run some music stuff by you and I heard noises in the kitchen. I figured..." JC looked down at the ground.

"That it was me and Britney?"

JC met Justin's eyes, "Yeah. Sorry. Here's your key back."

Justin looked at the silver key in JC's extended palm and frowned. How could his best friend be so quick to throw everything away like that? To Justin the key wasn't just something JC had in case of an emergency, it symbolized how close they were and how much Justin trusted him.

He pushed JC's hand closed around the metal object.

"I want you to keep it. It wasn't your fault for what you saw; it wasn't anybody's fault really. It just happened you know?"

"Yeah," JC said pocketing the key.

"I want to tell you something okay?"

JC nodded. He was pretty sure what was coming, but he waited patiently anyway while Justin got his words together.

"I'm gay," he finally said.

The words themselves seemed to echo off of the foyer walls and hit JC square in the face. He knew that his friend was gay or at least bi because of the display in the kitchen, but it sounded so strange hearing it coming out of his mouth.

JC just nodded.

"You're the only one who knows, besides Craig anyway. Can you keep my secret?"

JC figured counter boy was Craig. He nodded again.

"Jayce man, if you nod one more time I swear to God," Justin said laughing.

JC smiled as well, "Yeah okay, I understand."

"Still cool?" Justin asked hopefully.

"Aw, come here," JC said pulling his friend to him for a hug.

Justin breathed a sigh of relief and hugged his friend, his brother.

"Do you want to meet him?" Justin asked when he released JC.

"Uh, yeah sure."

Justin walked towards the living room and JC followed. When they entered Craig stood, surprising JC by his height and good looks. This time he was able to get a better look at him. Justin walked over to Craig and put an arm around his waist.

"JC, this is Craig," he said smiling.

The two men exchanged greetings, smiles, and a handshake.

"Can you stick around for a bit?" Justin asked.

"Sure," JC said sitting down in a nearby chair.

The two men sat next to each other on the couch. Both Justin and Craig made sure not to touch each other, not wanting to scare JC off.

The room was quiet for a moment or two, while everyone took in the new situation.

"So where are you from?" JC finally asked.

Craig assumed the question was directed at him although JC barely looked his way.

"Louisiana."

"Oh cool. Brit's from Lou...i...si...ana," he said slowing down during the last word. He realized that these two guys probably didn't want to talk about, what JC assumed, was Justin's now ex-girlfriend.

"Um, you said that you had some music stuff to talk about?" Justin said. JC was obviously not yet comfortable with the idea of Craig.

"Yeah, do you have time?" he asked glancing at the man to Justin's left.

"Actually, I should get going anyway," Craig said standing up.

"Are you sure?" Justin asked following his lead.

"Yeah you have work to do and I hung up on my agent earlier so I should really call him back."

Justin laughed, "Okay."

They looked at each other with love in their eyes. JC got up seeing that the two obviously wanted to be alone for a minute or two or three, he wasn't exactly sure how long it would take for gay guys to say good bye.

"I'll be upstairs Jay," he said walking towards the stairs and not really waiting for a response.

"Walk me out," Craig said grabbing Justin's hand.

Craig was reaching for the door handle when Justin said, "Wait. I want to kiss you first."

Before he could ask why they couldn't do it outside, Justin kissed the man in such a passionate way that all of his thoughts melted from his brain. When Justin released his companion from their lip-numbing kiss, Craig moaned slightly.

It was the most beautiful sound Justin had ever heard in his life. His already loose fitting pajama pants got tighter around his hardening member. They smiled at each other when Craig finally opened his eyes.

"Now I don't want to go," he said.

"You don't have to," Justin said with his arms still wrapped around the man.

Craig let his moist lips lay lightly on Justin's.

"Call me tomorrow?" he asked.

"How about tonight?" Justin asked. After all it was only eleven o' clock in the morning.

"Perfect. What do you want to do?" he asked slyly.

"Well this is good for me."

"We couldn't just stand here all night," Craig laughed.

"Maybe I can come over to your place, and we can stand there," he said smiling.

Craig's smile faded form his lips and he stepped back causing Justin's arms to fall from around him.

"I'll just call you okay? We can decide later," he turned and opened the door.

"Are you okay?" Justin asked as Craig stepped over the threshold.

"I'm fine," he said glancing back.

"Craig wait," Justin said catching up with him. "What did I say?"

Craig turned to his concerned friend but couldn't quite look him in the eye.

"Please," Justin lifted Craig's head with his hand, "tell me."

"I don't live the way that you do," he said.

"What do you mean?"

"A massive mansion with a basketball court, gigantic swimming pool, music studio, en-suite bathrooms in all of the seven bedrooms, and come on Justin you have Porsche."

"Had a Porsche."

"Oh yeah that's right, you're not sure if you want to get it fixed."

"Craig, I'm not after you for your money. I haven't lived like this all my life, believe me."

When Craig said nothing Justin looked at him intently.

"Do you really think that I wouldn't want to date you because of how you live or where you live?"

"No. I guess not."

"I'm not that kind of person."

"I know. I'm sorry."

"Don't be okay?"

Craig nodded. He was still pouting a little but Justin managed to kiss it away.

"Will you come over tonight for dinner?" Craig asked caressing the back of Justin's neck with his fingertips.

"Definitely. What should I bring?"

"Just those sweet lips," Craig said kissing him again.

Justin smiled, "I can do that. Call me with directions?"

"Yeah," Craig noticed the time on his watch, "Oh I gotta go sweetie." He gave Justin a quick kiss and got on his motorcycle.

"Drive safe," Justin said as Craig slipped his helmet over his silky hair.

Craig winked, then flipped down the visor. Justin stepped back and Craig took off. The man may have now been beyond Justin's property line, but he was still in his heart.

When Justin got upstairs JC was playing a track back. He looked up when Justin walked in.

"What do you think?" he asked, referring to the music.

"That's tight," Justin said moving his head to the beat.

"I was working on this one too," he said pushing the button for the next track.

"I like it," Justin said pulling a chair up to the mixing board. "It could actually go with something I just wrote this morning," he handed JC his notebook already turned to the correct page. "Read this."

JC read it aloud kind of singing to the beat.

"This is hot Jay. If you can come up with a tight bridge, we should do this."

Justin thought for a moment.

"Will you sing it with me?"

"I thought this is for your solo album though."

"Yeah it is, but still."

"If you want me to I will."

"Well I do, so don't fuck it up man," he said playfully.

They worked on the bridge a little and fixed the music JC had been working on.

"So where'd you meet him?" JC asked turning up the bass.

Justin laughed, "At that fashion thing Brit dragged me to."

"He said he had an agent. What does he do?"

"Model."

JC nods, "Makes sense."

"What does?"

"The second you decide to turn gay, you snag the hottest guy possible. Oh to be Justin Timberlake."

Justin laughed, "Believe me this was not the plan, but I'm not really complaining."

"What was the plan?"

"Fall head over heels for Brit, get married, have kids."

"Get divorced."

"That wasn't in the plan Jayce."

"But it would have happened. You know why?"

"Cause I'm gay?"

"Yeah pretty much."

"Wow, even in the plan I was gay," he laughed.

JC's laughter turned into a slight look of worry.

"What?" Justin asked.

"How much do you know about him?"

"Oh Josh, don't start," Justin said rubbing his eyes.

"Hey I'm just sayin'," he said putting his hands up defensively. "Maybe you should do a back ground check. I mean; you just met the guy yesterday, Jay."

"Yeah I guess you're right. But I trust him."

"Okay. I trust your judgment, but think about it alright?"

Justin nodded.

"Oh yeah I forgot to ask you, what the fuck happened to your car?"

JC's mind was definitely more at ease driving home after having spent sometime with Justin. It wouldn't be any trouble for him to keep his friend's secret. He talked to the other guy's a lot but not like Justin.

The only thing that really frustrated him was the fact that JC couldn't get the picture of Justin kissing that guy out of his head. He wasn't disgusted by the fact that Justin was kissing another man; he was disgusted by the fact that he wished the other man had been him.

To be continued...
