Infinite Love

This ia a story that spans the generations.  Lance finds love and romance with   someone he feels he has known all his life.

Lance, Mikey, & a

Angel named Ethan

This is my newest short story I posted just before Christmas.  Lance has returned home after not being able to complete his life long dream, going into space.  He feels his life has no meaning and he struggles to regain his self worth.  He finds what he is looking for in the form of an abused little boy and his friend Ethan

Last Time:

The mowing was completed and Jim went to put the mower away.  Lance was weeding a flowerbed while Marc was picking up the rest of the garden tools.  Stacy was helping by spraying the sidewalk of the last of the grass clippings of with a hose.  Marc had picked up the last rake and was headed to the back when he noticed Stacy standing behind Lance watching him pull weeds.  She had the look of a woman trying to decide on something.  As Marc walked by he saw what she was looking at.  Lance had squatted down and was pulling weeds.  What Stacy was looking at was Lance’s big case of plumber's butt.  Out of the top of his shorts half his ass crack was showing.

Marc looked from Lance to Stacy, still holding the hose and chewing on her bottom lip.  Stacy glanced up to a grinning Marc, then back to Lance, then to Marc one more.  Marc looked at the hose Stacy was holding then looked at Lance’s exposed crack.

Stacy followed Marc’s gaze from the hose to her brother.  Looking back at Marc he nodded his head toward Lance.  A wicked smile crept across her face when she understood Marc’s meaning.

Glancing once more at Marc she saw his grin was bigger.  As she raised the nozzle Marc’s head nodded.  Turning toward her brother she stepped closer. . . . .

Chapter 60

. . . . hesitated, then stepped back.

Marc raised a questioning eyebrow.  Stacy bit her lip shaking her head.  Marc held out his hand.  Looking from Marc’s hand to the hose nozzle in her hand she continued to chew on he lip for a moment before a wicked smile appeared.  Stacy handed Marc the hose and stepped back.

“You about finished?”  Marc asked as he pointed the hose at Lance’s gaping shorts.

“Almost,” Lance said just moments before he felt the icy liquid entering the back of his shorts.  “Shit!!!!”  Lance yelled as he sprung to his feet. Spinning around he found Marc backing away with a still dripping hose in his hand, laughing.  Stacy was laughing so hard she had tears running down her cheeks.

“You didn’t just do that,” Lance said as he took a steep closer to Marc.

“It wasn’t my idea,” Marc laughed.

“Whose was it?”

Marc took a tentative step back as he pointed to Stacy.

Stacy held up her hands.  “Don’t look at me.  I’m not the one holding the hose.”

“Now, James,” Marc said holding out his arms.  A mistake that Lance took advantage of.  Grabbing the nozzle in Marc’s hand he twisted it and tightened his grip sending a spray of water into Marc’s face.  The shock of the spray hitting him made Marc let go of the hose.  “Ha! Ha! How do you like it!”  Lance laughed as he moved the spray down to soak his boyfriend.  Marc took off running.  “No you’re not!”  Lance shouted as he followed him with the hose.

Marc began trying to dodge the water but Lance managed to hit him several times in the back.

Diane turned to see what the ruckus was all about.  Stacy was holding her side as she laughed.  Lance was chasing Marc around the front yard with a hose.  She was about to say something to her son when he ran out of hose and went flying onto his back.

Seeing that Lance was down Marc rushed to him, “You all right?”

“No,” Lance said as Marc moved closer.

“What’s wrong?”

“You’re not wet enough,” Lance said as he turned the hose on Marc.

Marc twisted and ran out of Lance’s range.  Lance got to his feet and headed for Marc.

‘Oh shit!’  Marc thought as he headed around the corner toward the backyard. Diane and Stacy followed the boys around to the backyard.

Marc was laughing as he dodged Lance’s attempts to grab him.  Time and again Marc would change direction just as Lance was about to catch him.  That was until Lance anticipated Marc’s next move and tackled him.

“Now I have you,” Lance said as they rolled in the grass.

“What are you going to do?”  Marc asked as he held Lance’s wrists.

“This,” Lance said as he brought his lips to Marc’s abs blowing a raspberry, making Marc squeal like a girl.

Marc grabbed Lance under the arms pulling him off his ticklish belly.  “That is so mean,” Marc laughed.

“And what you did wasn’t?”  Lance asked while lying on top of Marc looking down into his dark eyes.

The laughter had subsided as they gazed into each other's eyes.  Time stood still as they became lost in their love.  Lance’s head slowly moving closer to Marc’s, their lips drawn together by some unknown force.

“Boys,” Diane warned.

They both blinked, the moment broken, and realized what they were about to do and where they were.  They both started to blush.  Lance sat up still straddling Marc.  “Sorry,” Lance said looking toward his mom.  Stacy and his mom both had amused smiles.

“Supper will be ready in an hour,” Diane said.  “You two need to get cleaned up.”

“Okay,” Lance said as he got off Marc then offered him a hand up.  Grasping Lance’s hand Marc was pulled to his feet.

“You’re both covered with grass clippings.  Brush yourself off,” Diane said.  “I don’t want to find grass all over the house.”

“K,” they both answered and started to brush the grass off of themselves.

All the tools had been put away and finding their shirts they headed in to clean up.

Coming in the back door Diane looked up.

“Smells good,” Lance said as he lifted the lid on a pan.

Diane smacked her son's hand, “Pot roast.  Now go get cleaned up.”

“Yes ma’am,” they both said as turned to head up the back stairs.

“Oh.  I put fresh towels in the guest bath,” Diane said.

Stopping and turning back Lance whined, “But, Mom.”

Diane held up a hand.  “There is no way the two of you can stay in your room.  I know you want to be with Marc.  But the two of you can’t sleep in your single bed.  You’ll be more comfortable in the guest room with the bigger bed.”

Big smile spread across Lance and Marc’s faces.  “Thanks, Mom.  You’re the greatest.”

“Thanks, Diane,” Marc added.

Their bags were moved into the guest room.  “Go ahead and take your shower first,” Lance offered.

“K,” Marc said as he grabbed his shaving kit and clean underwear.

Lance heard the water come on in the shower.  Going to the door he made sure it was locked then started to undress.

Marc was standing under the water flow, his face turned into the spray.  “Can I wash your back?” Lance asked.

“What do you think you are doing?”  Marc laughed.

“I was hoping to wash your back,” Lance answered innocently.

“Well all right.  Just remember we can’t be messing around.”

Marc handed the soap and washcloth to Lance as he turned his back.  Lance made a quick job of washing Marc’s back, just grazing over his hard ass and working his way down his legs.

“Okay, rinse,” Lance ordered.  Marc turned into the shower and rinsed.  Taking the soap and cloth from Lance he motioned for him to turn.

Marc did just as quick job washing Lance’s back.  When he finished with his lower legs he turned Lance into the spray and started to wash up Lance’s legs.  Standing Marc washed Lance’s chest.  Lance took the bar of soap from Marc and like wise started to wash Marc’s chest.  Lance’s hands started to work their way lower.  Marc’s grinned slightly as he followed Lance’s downward motion.  They were both hard before each others soapy hands reach their cocks.

They both gasped as their soapy hands started running along their rock hard cocks.  “We shouldn’t be doing this,” Marc whispered as he gazed into Lance’s lust filled eyes.

“I know,” Lance said.  “We should stop.”

Marc reached over with one hand and turned the water off.  With the other he pulled Lance to him.  Lance’s arms went around Marc’s neck as Marc pulled their bodies together.

“We need to be quiet,” Lance murmured.

“I know,” Marc said before crushing his lips onto Lance’s.  As the kiss deepened, their hard cocks were trapped between their soapy bodies.  Lance was so turned on he started humping.  The pent up energy of two days on the road came to a head, so to speak.  Their cries of pleasure were muffled in the deep kiss as their seed shot between their undulating abs.  As the kiss was broken they held each other tight while the caught their breaths.

“I’m surprised you are letting them share the same room,” Stacy said to he mother.  “You’d never let one of my boyfriends share my room.”

“In their case there is a difference,” Diane said.

“I don’t see any difference,” Stacy said.

“For one.  There is no chance of either of them becoming pregnant.”

“I bet that’s just what they are up there doing,” Stacy said.

Diane smiled as the sound of the shower came back on.  “It sounds more like they each took separate showers.”

Chris spotted Justin’s and Joey’s cars in the drive.  “This must be the place.”

As Chris was getting out of his car Joey came out of the house with a bag of trash.  “You found the place,” Joey said as he dropped the bag into the trashcan.  “How was your trip?”  Joey asked as he gave Chris a hug.

“It was good.  My grandfather is doing a lot better.”

“It’s good to hear that.”

“So,” Chris said studying the house.  “This is the house.”

“Yeah.  Come on and let me show you around.”

After dressing they made their way back downstairs.  As they reached the bottom of the stairs the front door opened.  “Ford!”  Lance called out to the man entering.

“Hey, kid, how are you doing?”

“I’m doing great.  Ford, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Marc Morgan.”

Ford looked Marc up and down.  A grin spread across his face as he held out his hand to Marc.  “Welcome to the family,” Ford said.  “But I can’t for the life of me understand what you see in Spike here.”

“It’s good to meet you, Ford.  As for what I see in “Spike” I find most breeders just can’t get it.  All I can tell you is he turns my crank.”

Ford laughed, “I bet he does.”

Lance pouted, “I thought I was cute.”

Marc laughed as he pulled Lance into his arms.  “You’re that and many other things.”

“Hi, Honey,” Stacy said greeting her husband.

Ford pulled her into an embrace giving her a kiss.  “How was your day?”

Marc quickly covered Lance’s eyes.  “Don’t look.  They are performing breeder mating rights.”

Lance laughed as he pulled Marc’s hand down.  “You goof.”

“Breeder mating rights?”  Stacy quizzed.

“He’s talking about kissing,” Lance clarified.

“And what’s it called when you two kiss?”  Stacy asked.

“Hot!” Marc said as he nuzzled Lance’s neck.

Lance gave Marc an elbow in the side, “Behave.”

Stacy and Ford laughed at the guys' antics.

Diane came down the hall spotting the group at the front door.  “Oh, Ford.  Good you’re here.  Come on everybody.   Supper is ready.”

“This place is great,” Chris gushed.  “I have to admit, I didn’t expect the studio to be so large.  There is room for a small orchestra.  And the equipment looks to be top notch.”

“Yeah, it looks like Marc knew what he wanted,” Joey said.  “What do you think about the pool?”

“It’s made for partying.  We’re going to have some fun with it.”

Supper was relaxed.  Ford found Marc amusing.  Every time Stacy started to pick on her brother Marc would step in, tossing a barb her way.  It became evident that Stacy had found her equal in Marc as they continued to toss comments back and forth.

Diane was clearing the table of dishes when Marc turned to Ford.  “I always wondered how much alike sibling are,” Marc started out.  “I’ve learnt that Lance has quite a temper.

Ford laughed, “So does Stacy.”

“I wonder where they get it?”  Marc asked casting his eyes at Jim.

“I wonder,” Jim said looking innocent.

Lance and Stacy started to giggle.

Leaning in close to Ford, with a lower voice Marc asked, “One other thing I’ve also wondered is. . how shall I put this?  Well, when we get into a romantic mood.  One thing I’ve noticed is how vocal he gets when he is turned on.”

“Marc!” Lance shouted.

Marc turned to Lance giving him a wink.

“I just wondered if it runs in the family?” Marc asked.

Ford grinned at Marc.  Stacy grabbed her husband's arm turning him toward him giving him a don’t you dare answer that look.

Ford didn’t have to answer because Jim busted out laughing.  Marc looked to Jim as Diane came back into the dinning room.  “What’s so funny?”  Diane asked.

“Nothing dear,” Jim said his gaze fell on his wife.  Jim looked at Marc then to his wife before looking back to Marc giving him a wink.

Marc looked to Ford who was grinning from ear to ear.  Ford’s bobbing eyebrows told Marc what he wanted to know.

Diane stood there perplexed.  Jim, Ford, and Marc were grinning like a Cheshire Cat.  While her son and daughter seem to be blushing quite deeply.   ‘Somehow I don’t think I want to know,’ Diane thought.

Lance and Marc went out into the back yard.  Lance walked beside Marc but didn’t move close to him.  Marc knew he was in trouble.  “I went too far,” Marc sighed.  “Didn’t I?”

Lance stopped to look at a flowerbed not saying anything just a slight smile forming.

“James, I’m sorry.  I don’t know what came over me.”

“I know,” Lance said softly.

“You do?”

“You and my sister are too much alike.”

“We are?”  Marc asked.

“You both are strong willed,” Lance said.  “You both like to be in control.”

“What do you mean I like to be in control?”

“Boo, you are at your best when you are in control.  Stacy was a threat to you.”

“She is no threat to me,” Marc protested.

“Not directly.  But when she started to pick on me; which she has done all of our lives; you took that as a threat.”

Marc looked at Lance skeptically.

“When Stacy picked on me, you my dear, came to my rescue.”

“Your knight in shining armor.  That’s me,” Marc said with a grin.

“That you are, Boo.  But I prefer you without your armor,” Lance said as he laced his fingers with Marc’s.

Stacy was helping her mother clean up the kitchen after their meal.  Diane was gazing out the window into the back yard watching her son and Marc as they slowly walked around the yard.

“What are you looking at?”  Stacy asked.

“The boys,” Diane answered.

“What are they doing?”

“Just walking around,” Diane said.  She felt that something might be wrong.  There seemed to be some tension between the two of them.  They had stopped and was facing each other engrossed in a conversation. ' Were they having trouble?'  She wondered.  A sigh of relief escaped Diane as her son and Marc turned hand in hand to continue their walk.

In the rear of the yard was a large tree and at it’s base Marc sat with his back against the tree with Lance sitting between his legs leaning back against Marc.  They enjoyed this quiet time together not talking very much just wallowing in the glorious warmth of their love for each other.

The chirping of Marc’s cell phone broke their peace.  Lance moaned as he sat forward so Marc could pull his cell out of his pocket.

“If that’s Justin I’ll kill him when I see him,” Lance hissed softly.

Glancing at the caller ID Marc said, “Relax.  It’s not Justin.”

“Who is it then?”

“It’s Bobby,” Marc said as he pushed the button to answer.  “Hello.”

“Ah, Marc?”

Chuckling Marc answered, “Yeah, how’s it going Bobby?”

“Ah, good.  Ah, is this a good time to call?”

“Yes, it’s a good time.”

“Ah, I just wanted to let you know how well I’m doing with my new legs.  I’ve started to run each day and today I learned to ride a bicycle.”

“Riding a bicycle and running.  That sounds great.  How are you doing with walking?”  Marc teased.

“Oh, I’m doing a lot of that too.”  Bobby said quickly.

Marc laughed.

“Ah, Marc.  I was wondering. . . .”

“Yes,” Marc said softly.

“Ah, now that I’m walking and all.  I ah.  I ah was just wondering about what you said.  When we were at Disneyland.”

Marc laughed, “When does your school start?”

“My first day is September first.”

Marc closed his eyes bringing up a calendar in his mind.  “Bobby, I need to check on a few things first.  Let me make a couple calls and I’ll call you back.”

“Ah, Marc.  There’s one other thing,” Bobby nervously said.  “My grandmother won’t let me go visit you until she meets you.”

“I can understand that,” Marc said.  “Let me make some calls and I’ll get back to you.”

“Oh, okay.  I’ll stay right here.”

“I’ll talk to you soon.  Bye.”  Marc clicked his phone off.

“I take it Bobby is holding you to your promise,” Lance said turning around to look at Marc.

Marc nodded.  “Do you mind a house guest?”

“Of course not.  The only thing is I don’t know when Lou is going to make us head into the studio.”

“Let’s see what I can find out,” Marc said as he dialed a number.

“Who you calling?  Justin?”

“No,” Marc laughed.  “I think I’d have better luck with Joey.”

Joey was on the ladder cutting in the new wall color along the edge of the ceiling while Chris was rolling the paint on the walls.  The sound of a cell phone ringing drew their attention.

“Yours or mine?”  Joey asked.  Both of their cell phones were sitting on the bathroom sink counter.

“It’s yours,” Chris said.  “Want me to answer?”

“Who’s calling?”

Chris looked at the caller ID.  “It’s Marc’s number.”

“Go ahead and answer it.”

“Hi Marc.  What’s up?”

“Ah, Chris?  I must of misdialed.  I was calling Joey.”

“No, you didn’t misdial.  You want to talk to him?”

“Yeah, if he’s handy.”

Chris held up the phone to Joey, “Marc wants to talk to you.”

Taking the phone from Chris Joey put it to his ear.  “Hey, bro.  How’s your vacation?”

“Real good so far.”

“Where are you guys?”

“Mississippi.”

Joey laughed, “Meeting the in-laws?”

“Something like that.”

“Is Lance nearby?”

“Yeah, he’s right here,” Marc said.

“Hi, Joe,” Lance shouted.

Joey laughed, “Tell him hi back.  What’s up?”

“Joe, I just need to know if Lou had scheduled anything for you guys next week?”

“No.  We told him you and Lance would be visiting family this week and next.  We’re not scheduled until the following week.”

“That’s good.”

“You two going to spend some more time visiting Lance’s folks?”

“No.  You remember Bobby Joe?”

“Isn’t he the kid from Disneyland?”

“Yeah, that’s the one.  I promised to bring him out to Orlando and we would go to Disney World when he could do it on his own two feet.”

“And he now has two feet,” Joey chuckled.

“Yeah, something like that.  What I need to know have you guys been scheduled for anything?”

“Thanks to you, Lou hasn’t scheduled anything.”

“What do you mean, thanks to me?”

“It seems our manager was disappointed not to find you and Lance on our bus when we arrived.  He asked about you guys and Justin told him that you both were taking some time off to visit your folks.  And that you’d be back in two weeks.”

“That’s interesting,” Marc said.  “When you see Justin, give him our thanks.”

“I’ll tell him when I hang up.”

“Ahem, how has your down time been?”  Marc asked.

“Lance is close.  Isn’t he?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay, the studio is finished and looks great.  J and I have setup our bedrooms. And tonight we are helping Chris paint his room so it will be ready for his bed tomorrow.”

“That sounds good,” Marc said.  “Well you guys have fun and we’ll see you sometime Saturday.”

“Joe said hi.”  Marc turned his phone off.

“What does next week look like?”  Lance asked.

“You’re off.  Justin told Lou we’d be out another week.”

“Cool.  What do you want to do?”

“Well, I need to tell you there is an condition to Billy coming out.”

“What’s that?”  Lance asked.

“His grandmother wants to meet me first.”

“You are going to have to go to L.A.  When will you fly out?”

“I was thinking, fly out on Monday and return with Bobby on Tuesday.”

Lance pulled out his cell and dialed a number.  “Hello, I need to book a flight for next Monday.   Orlando to L.A.”

Marc reached for his wallet and pulled out his master card giving it to Lance.

When Lance and Marc returned to the house they found Diane sitting at the kitchen table reading.

“Why are you sitting in here?”  Lance asked.   Just then shouts came from the living room.

“Ball game,” Diane said with a sigh.  “You know your Dad and Ford.  Even company won’t keep them from a baseball game.”

Marc sat with Diane while Lance went to the refrigerator and took out two sodas.  Handing one to Marc he sat next to him.

Diane smiled at this simple act of silent communication.

Lance noted his mother's smile.  “Mama, what are you thinking.”

“How happy you two look.”

“I can’t help to be happy,” Marc said.  “I love this guy to death.”

Lance took Marc’s hand and gave it a squeeze.  “I love you too Boo.”

Diane’s raised a questioning eyebrow.  “Boo?”

“A nickname my little brother used for me,” Marc laughed.

“You remember that?”  Diane asked.

Marc nodded, “I remembered it after a dream.”

Diane nodded her understanding.

They talked for a long while filling her in on the last weeks of the tour.

After a long silence Diane softly asked, “Are you two.  Ah, keeping your love making safe?”

“Yes, Lance means too much to me to not take precautions for his health.”

“Mama, I’ve always wondered.  The day I came out to you and dad.  I was just wondering.  Where did you go after I told you I was gay?”

Diane folded her hands on the table before her.  Her eyes seemed to glaze over as she remembered that day.  “When you told us that you were gay I was shocked, confused and angry,”  Diane said softly.  “My son had just told me he was a homosexual.  Someone I had been taught all my life to despise.  How could this have happen?  Was it my fault?  Or was it my husband's fault?  Who was it that perverted him?  To lead him into this life of sin.”

Lance moved closer as Marc’s arm draped over his shoulder pulling them closer.

“I had so many thoughts running through my mind.  The walls started to close in on me.  I knew I  needed to get out. . . .  I just stood up and walked out the door. . . .  I didn’t know were I was going, all I knew is I needed to think. . . .  I thought that maybe I should to talk to my minister. . .  But I knew what he would say.”

“I thought you would turn to the church,” Lance said softly.

Diane shook her head.  “The answers I sought would not come from there.”

“Where did you go?”  Lance asked.

“I found myself standing in front of the library.  For some unknown reason I felt I could find some answers to my questions there.  I walked through the stacks not knowing what I was looking for.  I had found the section on human sexuality and found several books on homosexuality.  I went to a table and started to look over the books.  It soon became apparent that what I was searching for wouldn’t be found there.  I must have looked troubled because one of the librarians came over and asked if she could be of any help.  I was able to give her an idea of what I was looking for and she took me over to the computer.  She showed me how to do a search on the Internet.”

“For the next hour I read numerous articles about homosexuality along with stories about sons and daughters coming out to their families.  It was really disturbing,” Diane said shaking her head.  “The stories of parents totally rejecting their child.  Disowning them then kicking them out.”

Diane closed her eyes trying to hold back tears.  “I expanded my search adding the word “forgiveness” to the search.  It brought up a list of links that had to do with forgiveness. . .  The first two sites dealt with the dynamics of families working out their differences.  But the third one turned out to be a story.”  Tears started to run down Diane’s cheeks.  Lance reached out to take his mothers hand.

“What was the story about?”  Lance asked with a quivering voice.

“It was about you and me, baby.  It was a story written by one of your fans.  You know the kind I mean?”

Lance nodded, “We’ve read some of them.”

“In this story you came home to have a talk with me.  You told me you were gay and was in love.”  Diane took a deep breath then continued.  “In the story my reaction was horrible.  I said terrible things to you.”

“Mom, you didn’t say anything.  It was just a story.”

“I know.  But everything my character said I could see me saying the same things to you.  I had thought each of those hateful things.”

Lance gave him mom's hand a squeeze.

“In the story our fight lead to you walking out never to return,” Diane said.  “It wasn’t until a DVD arrived from you that my character found out you had died three month before.”

“What did I die of?”  Lance asked as Marc pulled him tighter.

“It seems after the fight your character returned to his lover.  To try to forget about what had happened you wanted to go out partying but your lover didn’t want to go.  You went out without him and that when it happened.”

“What happened?”  Lance asked.

“You got drunk. And had unprotected sex.”

“So I died of. . .”

Diane nodded, “Aids.  The DVD was your last attempt to heal the breach between us.  You knew you were dying and you wanted me there.  The last thing you said on that DVD was, “Mama. I need you. I need you here…Mommy…I'm so scared." ‡

“That’s a horrible story,” Lance said fighting his own tears.

“No, Honey, it opened my eyes.  It showed me what could happen.  And I swore to myself that I would never let that happen.”

“Diane, how did the story end?”  Marc asked.

“After viewing the DVD my character called your lover and made arrangements to fly to Orlando to talk.  As it turned out my character and your lovers character both felt guilty for your death.  You left one final DVD to be played after your death with both of us present.”

“Who was the lover?”  Marc asked.

Diane smiled for the first time since she started to tell the story.  “The lover was Joey.”

Marc and Lance looked at each other sharing a chuckle.

“I know.  Ridiculous,” Diane chuckled.

“What was on the DVD, Mama.”

“Let’s see if I remember this right. "Mama…Joe-bear. If you are playing this, then you two have gotten together and talked. Mama…I made it clear in my other video to you that I forgave you everything that happened that night. I am sorry if we never got together again to make up like I'd wanted to, but please know that I do love you."

"Joey…I know you feel as if me getting sick is somehow your fault. That if you'd gone out with me that night, that I would still be alive. It's not your fault, baby. It's mine. If I had been a stronger man, I would have realized that I didn't need to go out and get drunk to feel better…if I'd just stayed home with you that night, your love would have made me feel better like it always does. Joey, I didn't stay and that was my choice, my fault…and having sex with that guy…that was my decision as well…and I accept the consequences of that decision."

"Mama…Joey…you have to forgive yourselves and each other now. Mama, I know you blame Joey for me being gay and whatever else…and Joey…I know you hate Mama for shutting me out and all…but…it's all in the past now. Joey…I'm gone, baby…and you are all she has left of me. Mama…I'm gone and Joey's all alone now too."

"Can you find it in your hearts to forgive each other? You're both going to need one another so much now…."‡

Diane was silent for a long time.  “I read that story over and over,” she said softly.  “It moved me so much.  I knew what I needed to do.  I needed to hold you in my arms and tell you how much I loved you.  And make sure you would always be safe.”

Marc grinned, “So that explains the box of condoms.”

Diane looked surprised.  “You know about the condoms?”

“We shared a lot of things, Mama.  Including how we came out to our families.”

“I shouldn’t be surprise,” Diane smiled.

“Mama, I’d like to read that story,” Lance said.  “Do you know the web address?”

“That’s the strange thing.  After you left I went back to the library to make a copy of the story.  I spent the whole afternoon searching for the story.”

“Did you go back and check the history on the computer?”  Marc asked.

Diane nodded, “Yes, I asked the computer lab librarian to help me.  We didn’t find anything.  It was as though the story came out of nowhere.  But I know I had read the story.”

Marc crawled into bed and snuggled up behind Lance.  Wrapping an arm around Lance he pulled him in tight.

“You took long enough,” Lance said as he settled into Marc’s embrace.

“It would have been quicker if you let me shower with you,” Marc pointed out.

“Not with my parents down the hall.”

Marc chuckled, “I understand.  You glad to be home?”

“Yes, I miss not seeing my family.  I love touring, but I miss not seeing everyone for months at a time.”

“Well with you all going back into the studio to record your next CD you should have more time to visit.”

“You would think so,” Lance said.  “But we are going into the awards season.  Lou will book us on every awards show.  And when it gets closer to the release of the CD we will hit the talk show circuit.”

“When do you think your CD will be ready for release?”  Marc asked.

“If everything goes well in the studio we are looking for the end of October.”

“Then you’ll go back on tour?”

Lance nodded, “That’s a good chance.”

“Can touring in the winter be profitable?”

“No.  But that’s the time of the year to do our overseas tour.  Touring countries that are warmer, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Japan.”

“Then back to the states for your summer tour?”

Lance nodded, “And Lou will throw in a European tour somewhere in there.”

Marc sighed, “It’s going to be a scheduling nightmare.”

“When does your schedule start?”  Lance asked.

“Week after next,” Marc sighed.

“That soon?”  Lance asked as he turned around to look at Marc.

Marc nodded, “I have to fly out on the twenty-ninth for three weeks in New York.”

“That doesn’t give us much time together,” Lance pouted.

“We have all next week,” Marc said.

“Ah, did you forget about our house guest?”

“Oh, yeah, Bobby Joe.  I forgot about him,” Marc sighed.  “Maybe he’d like a sleep over at Justin’s one night.”

“There’s also Joey’s,” Lance suggested.

“Or maybe we can get the guys to take him shopping for an afternoon,” Marc said hopefully.

Lance leaned in and gave Marc a kiss, “I like your devious mind.”

“Just my mind?”

“Oh, there are a few other parts I like too.”

“You have a few parts I’m particularly fond of myself,” Marc said as he gave Lance a deep kiss.  “Love you, James.”

“I love you, Boo,” cuddling into Marc he was asleep in minutes.

No cliffhanger this time.  Sorry this one took longer then expected but I was down for a week with a medical emergency.
